STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST

SETS UP THREE PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINICS TO HELP THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED AMONG THE POOR & THE IMPOVERISHED

Most of the residents rehabilitated in our Shelter Homes are physically challenged and have mobility issues.  In many cases we have had to use private Physiotherapy Clinics in the cities.   Apart from the expenses involved, we had problems transporting them to the clinics.   They had to be shifted on stretchers and in ambulances.

Hon’ble Social Welfare Minister, Govt. of Goa Mr. Subhas Phal Dessai, inaugurating our first Clinic in Sangolda together with a physically challenged resident.

To mitigate these problems, we opened our Inhouse Physiotherapy Clinics.  We appealed to our benefactors for funding this venture.  It wasn’t long before we inaugurated our first Clinic on 15th July, 2022 at Sangolda, Goa.

Named ‘DR. GAIL & MRS DITOSA MEMORIAL CLINIC’ after two philanthropic women, the Physiotherapy unit of the Clinic was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Social Welfare Minister, Govt. of Goa Mr. Subhas Phal Dessai.

Subsequently two more Physiotherapy Centres were inaugurated in Quepem & Cavelossim on 12th September, 2022.

Apart from treating our residents, the Centres will take care of the physiotherapy needs of impoverished Goans in these and neighbouring villages FREE OF COST.
