STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA DONATES AN AUTOMATIC HAND SANITIZING MACHINE to PORVORIM POLICE STATION GOA.
Thanks to Dysp Edwin sir , SDPO of Porvorim who allowed us to donate this machine to the Porvorim Police Station.

POLICE personal are 1 of the frontline warriors in this fight against COVID 19.
We are aware of how police personal have got affected in Mumbai due to Covid 19 .
The video will explain the benefits of the machine .
The 1st half is in konkanni and the other half is in English. 
It costs Rs 20000 and its fully automatic .
No negative comments please as it's a small gesture from our Trust towards 
GOA Police @ PORVORIM police station. 
We are keen to install another 25 such automatic hand SANITIZING machine in the remaining 25 police stations across Goa .

COMMSCOPE CO. VERNA OFFERED US EXTRA FOOD.

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA thanks COMMSCOPE COMPANY VERNA for offering us their extra food daily enough to feed more than 100 meals daily.
On 8.6.2020 , we had posted on social media, requesting factories to give away extra food to the food bank instead of returning it to the canteen contractor. 
COMMSCOPE COMPANY @ VERNA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE , replied through their Directir Mr RAVI REBELLO and from 9.6.2020 we have started picking up food .
Food Bank installed a fridge in CommScope canteen. 
Every afternoon we pick up hot food from the factory , which is partly used in our rehabilitation homes at Margao & Cavelossim for dinner and partly served on the streets in Margao to homeless people. 
Night food is dropped in the fridge which is in the factory and at 9 am we collect this food which is used for lunch for our homeless street men .
Thanks to the management at CommScope and Mr Ravi Rebello , We are now saving money because of the food as well as we are getting a variety of veg food .
From 21.3.2020 till 9.6.2020 , both these homes were cooking plain Rice & Dhal .
But that has now changed. 
From 1.12.2017 till 21.3.2020 , food bank had so much of food coming in that non of our homes ever cooked any meals. 
In fact for the lockdown period most unsound men refused to eat plain food .
If you are working in a factory/ industry and you are aware that the extra food is taken away by the canteen contractor or is being thrown then please give it to the food bank .
As usual there are always costs involved in feeding the poor as well as looking after homeless street people. 
We offer you INCOME TAX exemption under 80G on all your donations. 
Donations in CASH / CHEQUE/ NEFT but with your pan card copy if you want 80G exemption certificate.

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA requests those working in companies and those owning bakeries to kindly watch the video and support us in feeding the hungry .
From May 2017 till early March 2020 , we never had a problem for food. 
Every day all our fridges and our daily collection would be approx 2000 kgs of food .
Because of the food bank program we started rehabilitation of homeless street people as food , cake , bread, toasts were in plenty. 
Daily we had so much food coming that we were able to feed about 5000 meals worth of food across Goa though our 40 fridges and 300+ volunteers. 
But the COVID 19 & the lockdown changed all that .
With everything shut I was forced to feed the men in our homes just plain rice and dhal as costs were going through the roof and donations taking a dip .
For the hungry on the streets , we were buying food for the last 3 months and we were feeding daily 1000 to 1500 to 2000 meals a day .
But now about 10 % of that earlier food has started coming into the food bank .

The only place today that has plenty of EXTRA food is FACTORIES.
It's like this 
☆ 1. Canteen food for the staff is bought           from outside by the factories. 
☆ 2. Whatever remains is taken back by             the contractor .
☆ 3. But that food had been paid for by               the factory.
☆ 4. So basically that extra food is profit             to the canteen contractor who might           be giving it to his staff or etc.
☆ 5. If the factory can give the FOOD                   BANK that extra food , we can feed             alot of hungry people like before                 across Goa .

My interactions as I move and meet people in rural Goa makes me present to you that we need to help our poor goan families who are too affected by the lockdown and alot of families have lost their source of income and jobs .
They are not complaining and even if they want to complain there is no one to hear them .
For July 2020 we intend to help 1000 such families across rural Goa.
We intend to increase 500 families every month till the monsoon gets over .
You can donate ration to us in

Margao SOUTH GOA 
by the 20th of every month .
Families also require :
▪︎Cooking oil 
▪︎Toothpaste 
▪︎Bathing soap. 
▪︎Washing powder 
▪︎Tea leaves

Few families require medication monthly .
Plenty of them cant even afford to pay their electricity bills ranging from rs 150 to rs 200 .
Its like little for us yet too much for them .
You can also come along with the volunteers to deliver the ration on 1st July to see the reality of our poor goan families in far flung places across GOA in your car.
We have not posted pictures of the families but only of the volunteers and the packed ration .

If we are still holding on to our jobs, your business is still running or our families are financially stable then let's THANK GOD and sow whatever we can into this project .

Thanks to THE CHAIRPERSON OF MARGAO MUNICIPAL COUNCIL , Miss Pooja , who understood our work and supported us in this cause.
Thanks to FATORDA POLICE INSPECTOR for agreeing to depute if needed a constable to maintain discipline.
Thanks to all who are volunteering their time on different days to serve food.
We now serve breakfast across all 4 major Government hospitals in Goa .
Once we settle down, we will start serving simple lunch across these 4 Government hospitals .

You need to have a driving license.
We are serving just plain veg breakfast in our car parked out of the DISTRICT HOSPITAL, Margao. as well the other 3 hospitals. 
One needs to bring their own containers and consume the same outside the premise.
We are not giving any plates, plastic or containers as we are against garbage .
Its not easy to run such an operation at the same time in 4 different locations
24 × 7 every day .
We thank GOD for the inspiration and guidance to conceive such a project and get it implemented.

Thanks to the caterers who are cooking these meals at practically no profit basis.

SUPPLIED 6000 LITRES ( 500 crts ) OF BOTTLED WATER TO OUR WATER STARVED GOAN VILLAGERS AT DABEL – POINGUNIM, CANACONA, GOA

STREET PROVIDENCE  TRUST GOA supplies 6000 litres ( 500 crts ) of bottled water to our water starved Goan villagers at DABEL – POINGUNIM, CANACONA, GOA today and surrounding villages. 
2 days back social media as well as print media highlighted how villagers at DABEL are walking a distance to get drinking water. 
As part of our WATER BANK @ STREET PROVIDENCE we purchased 500 crts of packaged water on credit and delivery was done at DABEL, family wise. 
From DABEL , water crts were also given to villagers at

☆ SHISHIVOL 

ALL SURROUNDING POINGUNIM, CANACONA.
Our volunteers at the WATER BANK @ STREET PROVIDENCE stands with these villagers at DABEL and and a couple of other villages in the surrounding as these 5 to 6 villages are parched and dont get water at times for 4 to 5 days .
The villagers of these 5 villages were very grateful and this is the least we can do at their of hour of thirst.

Who drove at 7 am from porvorim and reached back at 6.30 pm after distributing the water crts in today cracking heat. 
They must have travelled total 250 kms up and down.

Thanks to the locals who came forward to help us distribute the 500 crts of water .
If the situation does not get better and if there is a request officially from the villagers we can even send tanker water everyday.

Today we got to see the reality of interior GOA , and how life is simple, yet cruel at times .
Surely there must be other places in GOA where water is in short supply .
You too can reach out in so many small ways to deliver water to our poor GOAN families.

STARTED FEEDING BREAKFAST OUTSIDE DISTRICT HOSPITAL, MAPUSA

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA now has started feeding breakfast outside DISTRICT HOSPITAL, MAPUSA .
Yes we now serve simple free breakfast every morning from 7.30am to 8.15am.
Started on 25.5.2020 and we are thankful to the local councillor Mr Franky Carvalho who has pledged his full support to this free service. 
In fact FRANKY was there the 1st day sharp 7.30 am .
This breakfast is for accomplices of the patients who are admitted in the hospital as only patients get free food from the hospital. 
But still others too can avail of this facility at our van .
One has to bring their own containers and come .
We are not providing any plates or containers. 
So no garbage .
We serve alternate days

▪︎Phova
▪︎Upma 
This van is taken care by our 2 volunteers 
VIJAY & NAPOLEAN.
Another van is currently serving breakfast daily outside of 
☆ IPHB bambolim 7.30 to 8.15 am &
☆ GMC bambolim 8.30 to 9.15 am 
Our next stop is outside of DISTRICT HOSPITAL, MARGAO.
We have submitted our application 15 days to the MARGAO MUNICIPAL COUNCIL but awaiting a reply.
Come support us in feeding a simple breakfast especially during this COVID 19.
