TODAY ADMITS A DESPERATE GOAN LADY ( CLOSE TO BEING A SENIOR CITIZEN) AND HER ADULT SON

28.2.2022  7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA today admits a desperate Goan lady ( close to being a senior citizen) and her adult son , a Pwd Upto 90% into our men & ladies shelter homes .
♡♡ Big Credit goes to PSI Mr Bhat from Porvorim Police Station who used his presence of mind and humane nature and got this lady connected to our shelter homes
The lady is abandoned and is upset at her being isolated,  rejected , not cared for by various sections of society add to it an adult man with disabilities and no source of income besides the government dole .
Life is cruel and being a single woman with so much to carry is more difficult to believe .
Abandoned as she says by even her own brothers & sisters ( this is what she stated infront of the Police ) is all the more sad and upsetting for her .
Add two years lockdown and a small 5*5 room where she stays with no love and affection from even the neighbours .
Right receipe to take drastic steps as mind can start playing nasty tricks.
She has been knocking on many many doors over the last few months to get rehabilitation both for her and her adult son who is Pwd.
But not many responded to her cry as I am not sure if there are any shelter homes having facility for mother and a son with Pwd and that too absolutely free.
So , where do such cases go ?
Who is the authority for them to get a little better life and some support?
I know many many such cases across rural goa , where Pwd has no one .
Either Pwd has only an old mother or a brother or just some aunt or some distant relative who either can't look after their own selves, leave alone this PWD and most of the time they are admitted into IPHB and that's another truth for another day.
In our shelter homes both ladies & gents , we currently have close to 25 to 28 such ethnic goans admitted & who are in this situation and it's rising and rising fast .
I thank God for giving me a Vision to start so many homes FREE OF COST for the most neglected,  abandoned,  forgotten section of our Society .
Such cases are life long members of our shelter homes with absolute no other place for them as they are not welcomed anywhere in the condition they are presently in .
And if you know such cases in Goa , please do help such families by getting the local police station involved.
We will help for sure once all paper work is done and complete.
To our benefactors who have stood with us for the last 5 years , I thank you for the support as it's a tough service without any charges or fees from such admissions.
With no financial help from the Government of Goa ( except one ladies home is funded for
Rs 6 lacs per year for about 12 ladies ) we are thankful to generous and long time benefactors who play and important part in keeping our NGO flag flying high .
God bless you so much

INSTALLS 2 MORE FRIDGES IN POLICE STATIONS ACROSS GOA @ CUNCOLIM & SANGUEM.

26.2.2022  7 pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA Installs 2 more fridges in Police Stations across Goa @ Cuncolim & Sanguem.
Director General Of Police , Mr I.D.Shukla sir, has appreciated and welcomed this initiative in Police Stations.
We @ The Food Bank Sangolda are humbled by the DGP of Goa understanding of the poor , hungry and homeless and I believe , DGP has encouraged the Police Inspectors in Police Stations to support our work in feeding the hungry through the fridges.
On 24.2.2022, we installed a fridge at Cuncolim Police station in the presence of Inspector Mr Sachind Panalkar , who I have personally not met , but who has brought big relief in his past posting of getting an unwed girl , mentally challenged , off her agony of the streets, when he knew we have such rehab Homes for ladies.
Simple , understanding and polite Inspector is what I can conclude of Mr Sachind .
Our Volunteer from Velim , Mrs Elaine & her husband Mr Daniel who have been part of our food program last 4 years will be incharge of this fridge and were present for the inauguration.
Today 26.2.2022,  we installed another fridge at Sanguem Police station.
♡♡ Thanks to Inspector Mr Hiru kavlekar, for inaugrating this fridge and supporting our mission of saving good food from being wasted and which in turn can feed the hungry .
Not yet got an opportunity to start work with PI Hiru, but he too undetstands hunger & Homelessness
♡♡ Thanks to our Operation Manager , Mr Sapnesh Salgaonkar for taking the trouble of getting these fridges across Goa to both these Police stations from Porvorim and being present on both days for the inaugration.
♡♡ Also thanks to our team members :
Mr Douglas Pinto from Porvorim home &
Mr Akash Pednekar from Quepem home
Both were present during these two fridges inaugration.
With more fridges planned across Goa we are committed to saving good food from being wasted and as well as feeding the hungry in different parts across Goa.
Our programs are not only in Urban cities but we also are having a very very strong presence across rural Goa.
Very soon , we will feeding thousands of meals a day right across Goa as there is a huge quantity of good food being wasted daily .
Something big is going to happen with those suffering fron hunger and feeding the poor in Goa and we are putting the infrastructure at our cost in place as soon as possible and looking for Volunteers.
Our NGO is trying to get all major Government agencies / departments togther to address Homelessness/ Beggars / hunger / Pwds / ABANDONED ladies / street children and its getting a good and huge response.
But the main cost is food and the solution is food banks .
Superb support from IAS & IPS officers who are understanding the mammoth work our NGO is undertaking for the last 5 years.
Also alot , I mean alot of Goan government officials are going out of their way to help us address the issue in our fight against hunger , homeless & people with disabilities.
Our NGO has no political God Father nor do we intend to enter politics .
God bless you

ON SATURDAY ie 19.2.22 PICKED UP 2 OLD MEN RIGHT ON THE CALANGUTE BEACH.

24.2.2022  7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA on  Saturday ie 19.2.22 picked up 2 old men right on the Calangute Beach.
A drive initiated by Roshan Mathias, supported by Calangute Police , took us to these 2 homeless, old , abandoned and lonely men.
♡♡ Thanks to Arjun , from Living Waters Trust , for supporting us with his van as he was the one who has spotted them.
One elderly man has been admitted into the IPHB through a Magistrate order as he requires treatment before we take him into our shelter home .
The other man was in a very terrible and inhumane condition.
He was on the beach in the mud and his total surrounding area was unhealthy for close to 2 months.
Surely he did not have bath for many months .
Initially he was a bit aggressive to leave his comfort zone but as the police stepped up the pressure he quietly moved into the car .
Did a covid and medical test at Candolim PHC and then this gentleman was transportated to our shelter home by Arjun.
♡♡ Thanks to our Manager, Mr Sapnesh and his care giver Mr Roy for doing their part in actually getting things done on Sat from 10 am to 12pm as man no 2 had lost control over his toilet habits and had to be changed, put new clothes along with a pamper in the PHC Before he could be taken to IPHB.
There are approx 150 to 200 such men across the state of Goa , mainly in the big cities and across major Highways of Goa.
The issue is no Government authority is doing anything to get them picked up and treated.
You , I , the people who all the rules  and the Government officials see them in public places , highways , gardens , etc but thats it .
Some are really in filth and totally deranged.
With absolutely NO SUPPORT , from any authority its getting really really tough helping these 150 + unsound men stuck up in the state.
We require a better facilitation and a
co ordination team by Police , Health , IPHB & Women & Child Dept  ( for ladies ) , else in the coming months , the matters will go out of hand as Summer is about to start.
The heat adds to the aggressive nature of these people on the streets and then u have murders and fights.
In one month flat , we can clean entire Goa of all these men , give us what we require and that too on a paper.
Nothing Verbal .
Add to that street children and Beggars.
A right cocktail for unwanted events.
We have ready infrastructure to help the state if need be .
Not an easy service to perform daily but yet we are there last 5 years doing the very little we can .
If you see such men ( priorty ) please get in touch with the local police station and also whatsapp me on 8380097564 , the pictures and details .
We will try to help to the best we can .
Each group of Villages across Goa , should have such people like Roshan Mathias , who can undertake such drives either monthly or as the need arises
It reduces the pressure on our NGO to go around Goa and the Police can be relieved that Society is coming forward to assist in such matters of abandoned homeless people in the state.
Support us in whatever way you can.
Donate generously to our NGO.
We offer you 50% exemption under 80G on your donations.
Donations only through cheque /NEFT along with your pan card copy .

INSTALLS 2 FRIDGES AT MAPUSA & CALANGUTE POLICE STATION.

23.2.2022  7pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR,  SANGOLDA GOA Installs 2 fridges at Mapusa & Calangute Police Station.
Yes food bank fridges at a Police Station.
Police stations are open 24*7.
That's the advantage to anyone having extra food especially at night .
Our motive is to save food from being thrown out into the garbage .
On Monday 21st we installed a fridge at Mapusa Police Station with the Inspector Mr Neenad Deulkar giving us full support.
Today Wed 23rd we installed another fridge at Calangute Police Station with the special attendance of SDPO Porvorim , Dysp Vishwesh Karpe who did the honours of inaugurating the fridge in the presence of :
Calangute PI : Mr Laxi Amonkar &
Saligao PI : Mr Tukaram Chavan
We plan to install in total 15 such fridges in various Police stations across Goa .
If in each Police station fridge we can get daily just 10kgs of food,  we save in a month per Police station 300kgs of food being thrown out .
So see this calculation :
15 fridges * 30 days * 10kgs = 4500 kgs
Now per month 4500 kgs *12 months = 54000 kg
Now that's alot of saving of wet garbage.
Also 1kg food is enough to feed 3 meals.
Multiply :
4500 kgs * 3 meals = 13500 meals / month
54000 kgs & 3 meals = 162000 meals/ year .
This is what food banks are about .
Take our shelter homes :
Today 100 inmates * 3 meals * 30 days = 9000 meals a month.
9000 meals * 12 months = 108000 meals
So these 15 Police station can easily support our current strength of homeless people daily
This is just one sector of getting food into our homes without any stress and tension.
Shelter homes issues are food,  as that costs more than 50% of all other costs.
With future plans for additional homes for homeless street people being worked out and with our numbers being any away between 400 to 500 people rehabilitated through our NGO, incoming food is a must .
In short, if our food bank programs can get daily 500 to 700 kgs of assured food , we can look after many many more homeless and sick people including children
For now please create a habit of saving food and giving to us in our food bank fridges which within the next 10 days will be across Goa .
☆ 15 in Police Stations
  ☆ 2 at petrol pumps
  ☆ 2 in personal homes
☆ 1 at Sangolda on the chogm road.
Once again no personal remarks on the fridges coming up in Police Stations.
We all need to work together for the upliftment and welfare of the poor , hungry , homeless and people with disabilities.
Besides with summer approaching , these fridges can also double up to store bottled water for the police personel as food is not going to be coming all the time throughout the day .
Last , please don't waste food .
Tomorrow  we install another fridge at Cuncolim Police station which will be managed by our initial volunteer last 4 years from Velim Mrs Elaine .
God bless you so much

SUPPORTED BY PONDA POLICE GETS THIS YOUNG GOAN BOY, GANESH OFF THE STREETS OF SHIRODA GOA.

22.2.2022  7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA , supported by Ponda Police gets this young goan boy off the streets of Shiroda Goa.
Ganesh , as the boy says his name is , was sleeping on the roads/ bus stops  for many months in the vicinity / surrounding area of Shiroda Health Centre in inhumane conditions.
♡♡ Thanks to Mr Richardson , who works in Shiroda Church , who decided to get Ganesh off the streets.
On 17th Richardson sent me a whatsapp request to help this man .
I explained to Richardson the procedure which he did and followed only on whatsapp no calls.
Richardson visited PI Vijay Chodancar @ Ponda police station who agreed to help thru the Shiroda police outpost.
On 18.2.2022 , our entire team was present at a function at SBI panjim for receiving the new Ambulance.
Yet our operation manager, Sapnesh , who was with us at the SBI  was is continous touch with the Ponda Police who by then had picked up Ganesh and did his medical and required paper work.
Ponda Police came with the boy till Banastarim area and handed over Ganesh to our team member Douglas.
From there we picked him up and took him to our shelter home .
Looks lost and tired.
Incase any one recognises him please get in touch with us .
He is not insane but may be just lost and tired of being on the streets last many many months .
Last 4 days, he is quite and responding well .
He Is using the washroom and not on a pamper which is a good sign of being in control of his mind .
Just eating and sleeping , which is signs of being secured in a healthy environment and that will get his confidence back.
But really shocking that he was in that particular area for a long long time and it went unnoticed by both the locals and the authorities.
One simple whatsapp message from Richardson is all that counted to get Ganesh off the Streets and into our shelter Home.
If you know and see such men ( priority ) pls whatsapp me on 8380097564.
I will evaluate and advice you how to proceed.
If you follow instructions , have patience and really have that desire to get a homeless off the streets, it will happen.
But we can't run across Goa as it's too much at the moment .
You can do your part , we will do our part .
Rest we leave to the Almighty .
Support us in whatever way you can.
Support our NGO.
We offer you 50% exemption under 80G on your donations.

HANDS OVER ANOTHER 10 ADULT GOATS TO A FARMER FROM CANACONA WHOSE HERD OF 42 GOATS WERE RUN OVER BY A TRAIN

21.2.2022.  2pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA today,  hands over another 10 Adult goats to a farmer from Canacona whose herd of 42 goats were run over by a train on 15.1.2022.
☆ The Goan Herdsman , Mr Navalo Kolekar is thankful and happy that he has now received 20 adult goats as of date .
On 25.1.2022 , we had provided the 1st set of 10 adult goats .
Today we purchased from Mr vithu from kodar khandepar ponda goa another 10 adult goats .
♡♡ Thanks to 3 benefactors who donated towards these goats  :
☆ A elderly goan couple from Sangolda – 2 nos
☆ A elderly goan lady from Nachimola  – 2 nos
☆ A goan business man from Margao – 6 nos .
Getting the herdsman goats in Goa is not an easy task.
Most people have 2 to 3 goats to sell off at a time.
It's taking time but we will provide through your donations those 42 goats to the herdsman Mr Navalo Kolekar.
Our man , Mr Sanju from Dharbandora,  has been trying his level best to search for healthy and young goats for the herdsman from Canacona.
Last time we purchased the Goats from a farmer in Savoi – Verem , Ponda .
This time we purchased the goats from kodar khandepar ponda goa
We are still looking for donations for another 20 Adult goats.
Or if you know anyone having adult goats to give away or to sell , please let me know .
As an NGO , We not only focus on hunger & homeless , but we only try to reach out to our
Poor Niz goenkar in different related areas , right across Goa .
Once our NGO , starts a project , we complete the project irrespective of the hurdles or the time required.
And in this case getting 42 adult goats is a issue and a time constraint.
Usually once the enthusiasm dies down , we tend to forget our initial promises because another or other more important works are at hand.
But I know and understand the word POVERTY .
I know what it means to be POOR and living in POVERTY .
You and I together can do the little we can to bring that smile to those in hunger,  poverty & homelessness.

TODAY RECEIVED A BRAND NEW AMBULANCE

18. 2.2022  7pm IST
Our NGO , today received a brand new Ambulance, at the hands of
Shri Om Prakash Mishra , SBI , Dy Marketing  Director , HR & CDO,  SBI , Corporate Centre ,  Mumbai under,  CSR Activity .
This Ambulance Will be used for our shelter Homes inmates and for the transportation of the people with Disabilites to acquire the Disabilites certificate & UDID card from North Goa .
On 14.2.2022 , we had uploaded a post on social media asking for help for a new Ambulance.
And that post was Part 1 asking for an Ambulance for the transportation of People with Disabilities to acquire their disability certificate & UDID Cards both in North Goa & South Goa .
Well God answered my prayers, through
Mr Kamat, CSR Manager , SBI Goa.
For close to three years , we have been trying to get an Ambulance under CSR from SBI .
☆ 2019 , Mr Karl , now retired from SBI , was then incharge of CSR , but due to touch and go situations, we could not get thru .
☆ 2020 , AGM Mr Sanjay Kumar Gupta of SBI , Margao,  tried to help us but that did not succeed.
☆ 2021 , we approached Mr Kamat , he tried but by then new CSR rules were implemented and we reached no where.
☆ 2022, Again Mr Kamat tried and we succeeded.
Our work went on and increased inspite of the yearly set backs.
Set backs & disappointments , make me and my team stronger and more determined to go ahead.
Running an NGO, one needs to have all required papers,  licenses and updated documents on yearly basis as Rules keep getting tighter and tighter .
♡♡ Thanks to our Chartered Accountantant , Mrs Neeru Agnihotri & her husband Mr Biom Agnihotri for applying and acquiring all required legal documents for our NGO and at times going over board inspite of their busy schedule.
Getting a donation / grant  /  funding under CSR is not easy and not a child play especially from such a big PSU like State Bank Of India.
Your yearly accounts,
Renewed Ngo license for AY 20-23 till AY 26 – 27,
Upgraded certificate for 12 A & 80 G ,
Csr No ,
etc , list goes on
Are some of these documents which should be in place
Besides , one's activity in the NGO should be really able to capture the mind of the  company giving the CSR fund.
One thing our NGO never lobbies or use any influence to get any such grants.
☆ December 2021 , Governor of Goa handed over a big cheque as a grant to our NGO.
☆ January 2021 , High Court of Bombay , granted our NGO a grant of Rs 5 lacs .
☆ February 2022 , SBI under CSR handed over a new Ambulance worth rs 15 lacs .
This is all due to The Grace of God and the our AVAILABILITY ( not ability) to reach out to so many poor , hungry , abandoned,  homeless people as well as people with disabilities.
We run close to 15 projects simultaneously across Goa daily .
Most of our programs are unique in nature in Goa and never ever attempted by any one .
Big thanks to our :
▪︎ Trustees ,
▪︎ Employees & staff ,
▪︎ Benefactors who are supporting us for 4 years ,
▪︎ Government officials especially Goa Police,
▪︎ Volunteers and rest incase I missed out .
The ability to hold such a big team together and daily deliver requires Skill , experience , Education qualification, vision, passion & criticism.
I thank God for Good health , a mind of Christ , a fantastic wife and children at home , who most of the times are bored with the talks of the NGO I take home .
I end by saying ” God bless you all for the monthly support especially our numerous benefactors “.
Please support our NGO generously.
You get 50% rebate under section 80G of the
INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.

IS BACK TO FEEDING BREAKFAST OUTSIDE 2 HOSPITALS , AFTER TWO MONTHS

15.2.2022  7pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA is back to feeding breakfast outside 2 hospitals , after two months, which was stopped due to the 3rd Wave.
Just like our family members are important to each one of us during any covid wave, in the same way , our volunteers are important.
Prof Pai , a retired prof from Goa University is back , as he is ready for any time to feed the poor , whether its 2nd wave or 3rd wave.
A few days back he has started serving breakfast :
Outside Iphb at 7.30 am to 8.10 am &
Outside Gmc 8.15 am to 8.45 am.
Sunday holiday
☆ 2 parathas and jam chiplet & lite butter chiplet
☆ 2 breads and jam chiplet & lite butter chiplet
Menu is rotated every day .
Cost per day per person is Rs 20 / Rs 15 depending on the menu .
Here we are doing 100 meals and Prof Pai says the nos will rise soon.
A few weeks back , there was a message that many children in the IPHB compound are without clothes etc .
Prof Pai visited this place on the day of the message and found only 20 small kids .
These kids are daily also given this warm  breakfast.
Infact , we sent them toys a few days ago and yesterday Prof B.R.Srinivsan, Goa University donated a few more toys and a carrom board thru our NGO for these kids .
If you wish to donate any kids clothes please let me know through WHATSAPP ONLY on 8380097564. No calling .
Whenever such issues are highlighted on social media,  we 1st verify and send help next day .
We don't only make a huge report on social media and say we are going to help and this and that.
First I will sow and start and then I will highlight and ask for help.
I believe in action and quickly getting help .
I got some pictures saying ” that
an inspection of the condition of the children has been done “.
But till date no help reachef these kids after the inspection as told to Prof Pai by those kids .
If there is requirement for such group of small kids on the streets or construction sites for any food or help pls let me know ” only in Goa “.
We will surely help to the best we can provided there is a volunteer to back us up but not to individual homes as that's not in our ambit.
As a registered food bank, it's difficult getting food due to the covid and the pandemic, but yet daily meals to feed more than 1000 mouths are either , cooked,  purchased or collected through our fridges across Goa .
If you have any extra food due to functions please donate to food bank fridges.
You can help us by sponsoring such meals whenever you celebrate you birthday, wedding anniversary, or you can just feel the presence of happiness by feeding the hungry without any valid reason.
Food prices are rising and many poor street families cant afford meals and it's time to look out for such people and provide something basic even if it's for just 1 person.
Please support our NGO generously.
You get 50% rebate under section 80G of the
INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.

REQUIRES AN AMBULANCE, MANPOWER AND FINANCIAL AID

14.2.2022. 7pm IST.   ( Long post )   Part 1
STREET PROVIDENCE requires an Ambulance , manpower and Financial Aid to help  300 + poor Niz Goenkars , suffering from Disabilities  (PWDs) get their Dsability Certificate & their UDID Cards made.
This data of 300+ PWDs has been confirmed by the Social Welfare Department,  Panaji.
Main benefit of the disability certificate is :
☆ Bus / train Concession
☆ Education benefits
☆ Job benefits
☆ Monthly pension
☆ Free medical treatment across India in ☆ any Government hospital ,
☆ Free disability aids time to time from Government,
☆ Etc .
Poor Niz Goenkars  have a right to acquire both  ” the disability certificate & the UDID CARD ” but the paperwork and numerous visits to the hospital is the need of the hour .
Many are not even aware of their right to acquire their disability certificate.
Ther are 21 Disability types in India .
The process includes  acquiring a Certificate from the designated Government hospital in Goa and once a physical examination is done which can take between 3 to 9 months depending on the disabilty , then a UDID card is issued.
Both these process are an ONLINE one.
The Disability certificate is issued first and is the basis for being given a UDID Card which can be used to avail of the above mentioned benefits
But why am I telling you all this ? And how do I know all this ?
Well, our NGO has been involved in rescuing and  rehabilitating  people with disabilites since 2017 and empowering them with Disability certificates and UDID cards.
Our team at the NGO  has helped many  street people acquire the  above 2 documents.
Its a tedious , tiring  , complicated and  stressful procedure and I am grateful that our team has relentlessly pushed to get help for the poor.
My heart beats and I feel sad that many many poor people across Goa are struggling for this documents.
Director of Social Welfare,  has accepted our request  to organize a camp to help the poor in Goa to acquire both above documents.
A letter was issued by the Department to provide a dedicated staff to from the Department to partner with the STREET PROVIDENCE team and reach out to as  many such poor  people who need help from our team  FREE OF COST to enable them acquire the documents.
Letter attached. From. DIRECTOR.
Our NGO is a frontrunner and has always stepped into unchartered waters however risky this might be if we know this will help the poor and the impoverished.
This is one such unique project.
We COULD choose to stick our heads in the sand like the proverbial Ostrich and not bother about people  in Goa who are struggling for the disability certifcate & UDID .
But that's not how we function.
God wants us to reach out to others through the talents given to us .
And that's why we require an Ambulance to transport the disabled (especially those unable to sit, bedridden or differently abled)  to the government hospitals for the physical  examination along with their relatives as we can't take that responsibility.
We will provide only free transport and guide the Pwds and his relatives to various counters and doctors on the day of the appointment.
Our driver cum attendant can't take responsibility of the Pwds and hence 2 to 3 family members will have to be taken along in the ambulance.
Many of these people live in far flung remote villages in Goa away from the Government Hospitals  and have access only to  sporadic public transport
List attached with this post ( north & south ).
Besides transport,  manpower is required as mentioned below:-
☆ 1. Four Ground staff to fill their forms at their doorsteps, check & upgrade missing info and upload online.
☆ 2 . Two Back office staff to coordinate with the Disabled person & hospitals for appointments, and coordinate with the drivers to take them for their appointment.
☆ 3. Two Drivers cum attendant to take the Disabled from their home to the hospital and back and update the back office staff of the nature of that visit
Petrol Costs for ground staff  and the Ambulances are also required to make this possible
Reading this might make you stressed .
But that's what AGAPE is all about .
Reaching out to others who we don't know and who can never ever come back to help us is the need of the hour.
Our services are not SOCIAL SERVICES .
Rest assured —- we have no political aspirations and will never contest any political  elections.
And we  willl never personally  meet all these 300+ families across Goa as there will be a team running this program.
We, Thank God for giving us an opportunity to reach out to 300+ Disabled Persons  and help them acquire the UDID Card and thus qualify for a life long Pension so that they may live a life of Dignity and self respect.
One thing for sure , there will be many genuine cases from these 309+ Pwds who will badly require help for rehabilitation even if it's for a few days .
And we Have ready infrastructure for men only incase there is a demand.
We will help for sure .
So this project has back ward & forward integration.
Please join us in this project by helping us to  fund this project.
Special Thanks  to the Ex. Director Mr Joshi who showed empathy to the problems faced by poor villagers in getting the UDID Cards and issued an Official Letter to  help in that regard.
I cannot end this post without mentioning and appreciating a very special and sincere  young Goan man at the Social Welfare dept , Mr Gaurish for being the link between our NGO , the current 300+ Pwds & the dept ( including the Government hospitals).
Everything goes through him.
On the downside , since the  last 6 to 7 months, despite all documentation being submitted, UDID Cards are not  generated due to technical issues in the system generating the Cards especially those suffering from Intellectual & mental disabilities.
And close to 25 such cases stuck up are from our NGO .
One can imagine the stress and a anxiety  to the affected  PWDs.
My earnest appeal to all those reading this post……….please step forward and help in whatever way you can.
Let's come together to make life more comfortable and more appealing to all our Disabled Brother and Sisters in Goa.
Mog asundi!!!!
All query and further info if needed will be given either through whatsap only on 8380097564 or you can drop by to our office at Sangolda , with a prior appointment.
We invite other similar NGO having trained field staff focusing on Pwds joining in this program.
God bless you all

BANK FOR THE DISABLED ( medical aids )

11.2.2022  7pm IST
BANK FOR THE DISABLED ( medical aids ) Street Providence Goa has started a
” Bank of Aid for those who are disabled “and require temporary aid to recover.
Last month, The Honourable High Court of Bombay & Goa , at Porvorim, had given our NGO a grant and we had pledged to use part of that grant for ” A BANK of AID FOR THE DISABLED ”
Yesterday we purchased most of the equipments ( except the oxygen concentrator ) and today we are uploading the same on social media.
Also today we handed over, 5 brand new wheel chairs to Labour Commissioner of Goa , to be used for the elections on the 14th of February,  incase the need arises and which will be returned on the 15th .
We will be distributing these equipments in 3 places across Goa so that incase any one requires temporary help , no need to travel to Porvorim.
We have kept such equipments at :
Cavelossim for Salcette & Murmugao taluka,
Queoem for talukas from the hinterlands ,
Porvorim for entire North Goa talukas .
We also have many many such disabled people In our shelter homes who also at times require such equipment to move around and use.
Over the last few years we have been giving such equipment out to those in need and 50% of the time it never came back and reasons may be genuine but we could not verify .
Now through this Bank , one will need to keep a deposit and take the equipment.
When you return the equipment , we will refund the deposit.
Deposit varies based on the equipment taken.
For genuinely poor and those from backward areas , we will verify 1st and if found to be genuine , we might consider,  otherwise everyone justs wants to take and keep without any reasons saying ” in the future we might require “.
Without deposit it's not going to work .
Over the last 4 years we thank many such benefactors who have given us such medical aids for our shelter homes and today we are giving back to Society in a very small way through this Bank.
If you reading this post , have such second hand equipments for the disabled which you don't use or don't require , please give it to our bank
It should be in good usable condition worthy of giving to others to use.
We will put it to good use as and when the poor require the same.
We also accept and require for our shelter homes :
Adult diapers, cotton , wet wipes , reusable and washable under pads , etc .
We also need medications if it's in proper condition and within date .
