ON 9th JULY 2023, AT THE RELIEF CAMP @ HEINGANG MAKHA LEIKAI, DISTRIBUTED DRY RATION TO THOSE IN NEED

11.7.2023 7pm IST
On 9th July 2023, at the Relief Camp @ HEINGANG MAKHA LEIKAI, Food Bank for the Poor Sangolda Goa, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Imphal, distributed dry ration to those in need. This was our first consignment for the relief work in Manipur.
We had procured and paid for the first consignment on 23rd June 2023 directly from a vendor in Manipur.
You can find the details of the post we uploaded on that day at this link:
On 9th July 2023, our staff, along with the team from the Archdiocese of Imphal, distributed the relief material from our first consignment to 2 relief camps and 3 villages in Manipur.
These locations include
☆ Heingang,
☆ Sekmai,
☆ Dolaithabi/Leitanpokpi,
☆ Kakching Khunou, and
☆ Lamlongei.
Each camp and village received 5-6 bags of rice and 2 bags of green peas.
Our first consignment consisted of 32 bags of rice, 10 bags of green peas, and 3 tins of oil.
Logistics pose a major challenge in Manipur, including weather conditions, distance, unrest, sourcing materials from reliable vendors, storage, and ensuring timely delivery to the right people.
The lack of internet and connectivity further complicates the situation.
While we choose not to focus on the negative issues that cause fright and uneasiness, we must believe that peace is already restored in Manipur.
Our staff, along with the priest from DSSS and a few volunteers, successfully delivered the 32 bags of rice, 10 bags of peas, and 3 tins of oil to the relief camps and villages.
One of the pictures shared shows the total number of people in one particular camp on 9th July 2023.
In this district alone, there are approximately 51 camps, accommodating a minimum of 100 people and a maximum of 200 people each.
The situation is challenging for the affected individuals, with close to 60+ days having passed and the weather remaining rainy and cold.
At Street Providence Goa, we are doing our best to raise resources and other materials through our drive to bring a little smile to these poor people who have nowhere else to go.
We have attached a few pictures of the first relief material distributed at The Relief Camp @ HEINGANG MAKHA LEIKAI, Kangpokpi District.
We humbly request your continuous support, prayers, well wishes, forwarding of our messages, and donations.
We appreciate you being a part of this cause.
We would like to acknowledge our collaboration with the Archdiocese of Imphal and the District administration, as they are crucial in our relief efforts.
We urge you to join us in daring to dream and making a positive impact as we DARE TO DREAM.
For exclusive communication, please reach out to us via WhatsApp messages at 8380097564.
Please note that all donations are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. We kindly request you to provide a copy of your PAN card.

WE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE 2ND CONSIGNMENT OF 13 TONNES OF DRY RATION AND GROCERY ITEMS HAS FINALLY REACHED KANGPOKPI

8.7.2023, 7pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA is pleased to announce that the 2nd consignment of 13 tonnes of dry ration and grocery items has finally reached Kangpokpi from Assam after almost 7 days.
We had paid for this stock in advance to ensure its timely arrival.
Attached are pictures and a video showcasing the delivery.👇
We are grateful to the FMCK Congregation (St Clare Province) for their substantial contribution to this consignment.
They paid the supplier directly in Assam, further supporting our efforts.
However, logistical challenges persist as the Kohima-Dimapur highway remains closed due to mudslides.
Despite these obstacles, yesterday, we successfully offloaded the following:
☆ 100 bags rice
 ☆  17 bags dhal
   ☆  9 bags potato
   ☆  9 bags onion
total quantity of 6410 kgs at the following address in Kangpokpi with the help of our two staff members stationed there :
Fr. Roy M D
Congregation: Missionaries of St. FRANCIS DE SALES (MSFS)
Parish: St. Francis De Sales Parish
Daili village
Kangpokpi P O
Kangpokpi Dt.
Manipur 795129
The remaining balance of 6590 kgs, comprised of
☆ 100 bags of rice,
☆ 20 bags of dhal,
☆ 9 bags of onions,
☆ 9 bags of potatoes,
is en route to the Churachandpur district.
This leg of transportation is currently proving to be the most challenging.
On Monday, our staff, together with the Kangpokpi Relief Committee members, will distribute the 3rd consignment of 4050 kgs, which we uploaded yesterday on social media.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, our staff will work with Fr. Roy and the local parishioners to distribute this ration of 6410 kgs to those in need.
To ensure transparency and avoid duplicity, we employed local Manipuri staff who are responsible for recording data on beneficiaries, including their names, addresses, and specific needs.
This information is then sent to our Goa office for random checking.
On Thursday, our staff will distribute the remaining ration consisting of 6590 kgs in the Churachandpur district, as it is expected to reach the destination by that time.
Our Manipuri staff are told to list down the names & addresses of the poorest of the poor families :
》 1. Whose homes are totally destroyed
》2. As well as children who need help to go to school, for books, uniforms, fees, etc.
》3. Or those who are sick and require medicines
This data will be compiled during distribution.
In addition to providing dry ration, we also have two huge consignments of medicines on the way to both the Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts.
We express our gratitude to all the generous benefactors who have already donated, are currently donating, and will continue to donate towards our Manipur relief appeal.
Your support is crucial, and we want you to know exactly where your donations are going.
That's why we take the time to write these detailed messages and provide updates.
To all the generous benefactors who donated, are donating and will be donating towards our MANIPUR relief appeal, our transparency can't get better than this.
You need to know where your donations are going and that's why we take time to write these long messages in detail.
We are happy to share a little good news that a few schools have reopened in the hills area, and we believe our prayers are being answered.
We need to BELIVE that PEACE is fully RESTORED in MANIPUR.
However, there is still much more to be done in Manipur beyond providing dry ration and medicines.
As promised two weeks ago, we will continue to upload pictures and videos of the relief work.
Your continous support , prayers , wishes , forwarding our messages and donations are what we are asking of you , reading this post.
And in the coming week, you can expect to see the countryside of Manipur as we distribute supplies to the people.
We would like to acknowledge our collaboration with the Archdiocese of Imphal and the District administration, who are instrumental in our relief efforts.
The relief we send to Manipur is distributed to both the Diocesan Social Services Society (DSSS), a part of the Archdiocese of Imphal, and the District administration running the relief camps.
We urge you to join us in daring to dream and making a positive impact as WE DARE TO DREAM.
Please communicate with us exclusively through WhatsApp messages at 8380097564.
Kindly note that all your donations are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. We kindly request you to provide a copy of your PAN card.

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED OUR THIRD CONSIGNMENT OF DRY RATION AND GROCERY ITEMS AT KANGPOKPI, MANIPUR.

7.7.2023. 7Pm IST
Today, the FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR, SANGOLDA, GOA, successfully delivered our third consignment of dry ration and grocery items at Kangpokpi, Manipur.
The consignment was delivered to the office of the Kangpokpi District Relief Committee, which operates under the District Collector of Kangpokpi District.
This initiative was made possible by the generous contribution of a Goan family consisting of two adult daughters and their mother from Goa.
Logistics has been a major challenge in Manipur, but the situation is gradually improving.
We now have two full-time staff members working in Manipur, as I mentioned previously.
As promised, we are pleased to share the first pictures of our Food Bank relief work on the ground.
Due to the internet ban, you may wonder how we obtained these pictures.
However, you can find more pictures on our website at www.streetprovidencegoa.com.
Whether we are working in Goa or outside of Goa, our NGO always collaborates with local authorities such as the police, hospitals, district collectors, and press personnel.
When dedicated to serving the poor and needy full-time, contacts and assistance are always readily available.
Good-hearted individuals consistently find their way to the right places and people.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that our second consignment, weighing 13 tonnes, of dry ration has just arrived into Manipur.
We will upload pictures of this consignment in the next day or two.
A few days ago, the same Goan family inquired about assistance for Manipur, and I shared my thoughts.
Within three days, we were able to locate a reliable supplier in the heart of Kangpokpi District, offering us competitive rates.
Today, at 11 am, we collected the following items :
☆ 60 bags of rice, equivalent to 3000 kgs
☆ 15 bags of dal, equivalent to 450 kgs
☆ 6 bags of onions, equivalent to 300 kgs
☆ 6 bags of potatoes, equivalent to 300 kgs

The total weight of the consignment is 4050 kgs.
Our staff then delivered these items to the Kangpokpi District Relief Committee office.
Tomorrow, committee members and our staff will personally visit affected families in villages, distributing relief materials and maintaining proper records to prevent duplication.
Transparency is a core value of our organization.
We upload all project requests on social media and, once funded, provide updates with pictures showcasing where the funding is utilized.
All our relief materials are purchased through cheque payments from our bank account.
Over the past six years, we have been able to sustain numerous complex projects thanks to the grace of God and generous benefactors.
Remarkably, 90% of our long-standing benefactors, some dating back to mid-2017, have never met me or seen me in person.
Even our registered office in Sangolda is a modest metal roof office spanning only 4 meters by 4 meters.
However, the love, trust, and commitment we receive from donors and benefactors exceed my imagination.
While we may occasionally make mistakes, we remain devoted to each project and service we undertake.
If you share my concern for the people in Manipur, I urge you to support our project and donate generously.
We collaborate with the Archdiocese of Imphal and the District administration in our relief efforts.
The relief we send to Manipur is distributed to both the Diocesan Social Services Society (DSSS), a part of the Archdiocese of Imphal, and the District administration running relief camps.
WE DARE TO DREAM,  and we invite you to join us.
Please communicate with us exclusively through WhatsApp messages at 8380097564.
It's worth noting that all your donations are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, and we kindly request you to provide a copy of your PAN card.
God bless you all

6th July 2023 at 7 PM IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA, in collaboration with FMCK nuns (St Clare Province) and dedicated volunteers, has established 18 collection centers across Goa and one collection center in Sindhudurg district, South Maharashtra, for the MANIPUR RELIEF initiative.
Please find attached the list of collection centers in Goa and one in Sindhudurg district.
Our collection points are located in the following talukas:
☆ Pernem,
☆ Bicholim,
☆ Bardez,
☆ Tiswadi,
☆ Mormugao,
☆ Salcette,and
☆ Canacona.
Additionally, a list of relief items to be donated is also attached.
There is a significant demand for sleeping mats and milk powder.
We kindly request that you support us by providing clean, usable, and appropriate items.
Our Food Bank is already procuring food grains in Assam and Manipur, which are then delivered to the relief camps in Manipur through the District Collector and The Archdiocese of Imphal.
Furthermore, we are directly sending generic medicines from Delhi to Manipur, which we are purchasing at a highly discounted rate for this noble cause.
In Manipur, we have employed two full-time individuals who are working on behalf of our NGO.
We are closely aware of the ground reality as we have been engaged in relief efforts in Manipur for nearly two weeks.
According to our staff's update today, the consignment of materials is expected to have reached Kangpokpi and will then proceed to a place called Pinjang.
However, we are currently facing delays due to a rockslide along the Dimapur Kohima highway, which has disrupted the transportation route. It is expected to be resolved in a couple of days.
Inspired by the urgency of the situation, we have gathered a dedicated team of volunteers who have graciously agreed to serve as collection points in Goa for relief materials for MANIPUR.
Once we have gathered all the necessary materials, our intention is to load trucks and send them to the relief committee teams working in Manipur, with the support of the district collectors and the Archdiocese of Imphal.
We, at Street Providence Goa, humbly request you to contribute through in-kind donations or monetary support via cheque/NEFT to aid our relief work in Manipur.
All your donations are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, and we kindly request you to provide a copy of your PAN card.
Please coordinate in advance and schedule an appointment with the collection points if you wish to donate relief materials in kind.
However, please note that we are not collecting clothes.
For any queries or doubts, kindly reach out via WhatsApp at 8380097564.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in avoiding phone calls.
Over the past six years, we have undertaken several relief projects, but this one presents unique challenges due to the considerable distance of 4000 kilometers and the existing roadblocks.
However, we believe that with the support of generous benefactors like yourself, we can achieve our goals.
We dare to dream, knowing that all good things are achievable through acts of kindness and concern, even in the most adverse conditions, as long as they are carried out with the right intentions and straight from the heart.
For more information, please visit our website at www.streetprovidencegoa.com.
God bless you abundantly.

CURRENTLY DISPATCHING ITS SECOND CONSIGNMENT OF MEDICINES TODAY FROM NEW DELHI TO MANIPUR

4.7.2023. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is currently dispatching its second consignment of medicines today from New Delhi to Manipur via road transport.
A detailed list of the medicines included in this consignment has been attached for reference.
If you have the time, you can search on Google to find the value of these medicines.
It is worth noting that the medicines are being sourced specifically from New Delhi.
The first consignment of medicines was dispatched on June 24, 2023, and it arrived at the border area on July 3, 2023.
Link:
Tomorrow, on July 5, 2023, this first consignment will reach its destination in Imphal.
In addition to the medicines, Street Providence Goa has also sent 400 packets of organic sanitary pads (one carton) from Goa today.
These sanitary pads will reach Manipur within a span of 10 days.
The cost of one carton, inclusive of transportation, is Rs 14,000.
If anyone is interested in contributing cartons of organic sanitary pads as a donation, they are kindly requested to get in touch with Street Providence Goa.
Street Providence Goa takes this opportunity to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to all the benefactors who have generously supported our appeal for funds.
It is through these donations that our NGO is able to consistently provide and send relief material to Manipur.
Furthermore, Street Providence Goa actively purchases dry ration and groceries from Assam or Manipur, based on availability, and ensures their timely delivery to our volunteers at the base in Manipur.
This second consignment of medicines is specifically intended for the Kangpokpi District, which encompasses approximately 54 relief camps and shelters over 10,000 individuals.
The medical team of doctors associated with the Kangpokpi Relief Committee requested this second consignment of medication in coordination with the District Collector.
Street Providence Goa has received an email from the District Collector's office, which not only outlines the specific medicines required but also provides details about the conditions and situations prevailing in the relief camps.
Street Providence Goa has been granted a credit period of a few days for this second consignment.
However, we would be immensely grateful if we could secure a sponsor to cover the costs associated with the medication bill.
The organization fully acknowledges the challenging circumstances faced by the impoverished residents of Manipur residing in the relief camps.
We are steadfast in our commitment to providing whatever relief and assistance we can, leveraging the support of our donors and benefactors.
In light of the need to instill hope and concern rather than fear,  Street Providence Goa,  refrains from writing extensively.
It is important to highlight that managing relief operations from a distance of 4,000 kilometers is an arduous task, particularly considering the ever-changing situation on the ground that transpires throughout the day.
Confirmations and continuous coordination are of paramount importance and are primarily conducted through phone calls, as WhatsApp and internet services remain inaccessible.
Street Providence Goa warmly welcomes any form of support that individuals are able to provide.
It is worth noting that all donations are eligible for income tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
For any inquiries or concerns, please contact Street Providence Goa exclusively via WhatsApp messages at 8380097564.
Please avoid calling .
God bless you all

WE ARE IN NEED OF 8 to 10 LAPTOPS TO FACILITATE BASIC COMPUTER EDUCATION FOR THE LADY INMATES

29.6.23. 7Pm IST
To facilitate basic computer education for the lady inmates especially in our expanding shelter homes in Goa, we are in need of 8 to 10 laptops.
Additionally, we are seeking computer teachers who can conveniently teach basic computer applications to educated & qualified inmates who are either homeless or facing mental disabilities.
Our homes are located at these talukas:
Bardez , Salcette , Quepem
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is dedicated to not only rehabilitating Goans suffering from mental disabilities but also providing skill development and empowerment to women facing disabilities and homelessness.
Over the past few years, we have been providing care and rehabilitation to Goan women and men with mental disabilities, many of whom were living on the streets or abandoned by their families for various reasons.
Currently we have
☆ 55 + women of which
☆ 44 are goans and of which
☆ 25+, are 10th Std 12th Std, graduates and couple are post graduates one is a 3rd year LAW student
But due to psychiatric issues they need to be in a home and administered medicines.
In order to empower and enhance the skills of the individuals under our care, we have implemented and are currently introducing a wide range of skill development programs.
These include disciplines such as
☆ Tailoring,
☆ Needlework,
☆ Flower making,
☆ Poultry farming,
☆ Agricultural techniques, and more.
Furthermore, we aim to provide instructions in basic computer skills to the individuals in our care, which is why we require laptops.
In the coming few months / year,  we are doubling our capacity from :
◇ 200 beds to 400 beds &
◇ 8 homes to 16 homes.
The majority of the inmates, particularly the women, are long-term residents and do not have anyone to return to at home.
These Goan ladies are and can be some one daughter,  sister  , wife , mother , etc but are abandoned because they suffer from mental disabilities and don't take their medication.
We currently have a skilled workforce undergoing psychiatric treatment.
As the number of homes increases, our manpower will expand further, highlighting the need to provide them with specialized training and skills based on their abilities, considering that many of them have long-term mental disabilities.
The implementation of the aforementioned courses within the shelter homes is essential to enable the inmates:
to achieve self-sustainability,
empowerment, and
the utilization of their skills.
Rehabilitating the homeless Goans with mental disabilities is one aspect, but empowering them with skill development is the focus @ Street Providence Goa.
Due to the complex and interconnected activities at our NGO, providing basic computer education to individuals with disabilities will facilitate the recording of daily activities and information in each home.
This data can then be entered into a centralized system and transmitted to the main office for efficient management and coordination.
All our homes are on CCTV and each home has broad band; so connectivity is always available.
Say in a ladies home of 10 pax :
☆ 1 or 2 ladies learn computers
☆ 1 or 2 ladies learn Tailoring
☆ 1 or 2 ladies learn poultry farming / Agriculture
☆ 1 or 2 learn flower making etc.
The overall environment within the shelter homes undergoes a positive transformation, resulting in reduced reliance on medication and fostering a sense of happiness, liveliness, motivation, and self-dependence among the inmates.
A similar situation exists in the men's home, where we currently house over 105 homeless men, the majority of whom suffer from mental disabilities.
Although we occasionally attempt to bring a few ladies with mental disabilities to our head office in Sangolda for computer lessons, this disrupts our already overloaded operations.
A video attached of one such Goan lady who we attempted to teach basic computers.👇
Consequently, we believe that teaching them within the home is the optimal choice.
We work with women who face immense challenges and difficult circumstances.
The age range of Goan ladies/ girls in our shelter homes suffering from severe mental disabilities start as young as 25 years till 40 years and educated.
We have women whose medical records clearly mention :
》MANIAC
》PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA
》etc.
But once they start rehabilitation program In our homes there is a total change within a few weeks.
Helping them through the recovery process can be emotionally demanding, but we strive to provide them with the necessary support and guidance.
Our ultimate goal is to empower them to independently carry out their basic daily activities.
@ Street Providence Goa, our primary service :
》Shelter Homes for the homeless ,
》Homes for the people with Disabilities ,
》Food bank fridges,
》Physiotherapy centre's for the homeless
》Skill development & women empowerment.
For those who wish to know more about our work , kindly visit our website Www.streetprovidencegoa.com
We are currently also actively involved in providing relief to those affected by the violence in Manipur.
Your support is what drives us to reach out to so many who require your help through us.
God bless you so much

WE RECENTLY DISPATCHED A SIGNIFICANT SHIPMENT OF ESSENTIAL MEDICINES TO MANIPUR

26.6.2023. 7Pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA recently dispatched a significant shipment of essential medicines to Manipur 3 days ago.
The attached list provides details of the medicines sent in strips.
To determine the cost of this consignment, one can easily search for the individual items on Google.
We have a comprehensive understanding of sickness and suffering, as evidenced by our operation of eight shelter homes in Goa for the homeless.
However, we recognize that those residing in relief camps face even greater challenges.
That's why we have made the decision to travel from Goa, which is nearly 4000 kilometers away, to offer whatever assistance we can to the people in Manipur.
On June 24th, while the San Joao festival was being celebrated in Goa, our team tirelessly coordinated the sourcing, arrangement, sorting, packing, and dispatch of these medicines from Delhi to nearest border state.
It was no easy task, but we managed to put together this quantity in just eight hours.
Due to numerous logistical issues, it is challenging to directly transport goods into the state.
Extensive coordination is required due to limited network availability and a complete internet shutdown across Manipur.
However, we are in contact with our team members at six major relief camps in Manipur.
This consignment of medicines departed from Delhi on Saturday night and is expected to reach border state by Thursday.
If all goes well, it should arrive in Imphal on Friday.
Once this medicine consignment is delivered, we plan to send another consignment of psychiatric medication.
We have employed two full time staff in
Churachandpur district &
Kangpopki district
Mr H Khongsai for Kangpokpi District, who is an under graduate with 6 years of social work experience &
Mr S Seiminthang for Churachandpur district,  who is a graduate with 10 years of experience in social work.
These two districts have the most no of relief camps and we have day to day data sent to me by these staff as well as our local volunteers.
We rely on your support to continue assisting those in need amidst the conflict in Manipur.
This week, we aim to send 13 tonnes of dry ration directly from the neighboring state to our base via truck, which will then be distributed to the relief camps in both these districts.
If you can contribute towards the partial payment for this truck, we would be immensely grateful.
The truck will carry the following items:
☆ 10000 kgs of rice
☆ 1000 kgs of dhal
☆ 1000 kgs of onions
☆ 1000 kgs of potatoes,
We can facilitate the bill in your name directly for the quantity you wish to sponsor, and you can make the payment to the supplier through NEFT if desired or to our NGO & claim the tax rebate under section 80G.
Additionally, if necessary, we can provide you with appreciation and publicity on social media.
Let's join forces and do what we can, even from 4000 kilometers away, in our beautiful Goa.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated benefactors for standing by us and the people of Manipur during this conflict.
Please note there are no internet facility in Manipur so pictures are an issue but by this Saturday we will be able to put out a few pictures of the relief material which we have sent
We operate strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564 so please avoid calling unnecessarily.
God bless you so much

WE COLLABORATES WITH FMCK SISTERS, GOA TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY SHELTER TO REFUGEE FAMILIES OF THE MANIPUR CONFLICT

24.6.2023. 9Pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA Goa collaborates witb FMCK Sisters, Goa , to provide TEMPORARY shelter to refugee families of the MANIPUR conflict , should the need arise in GOA.
♡♡♡ I expresses my gratitude to Sr. Fatima Rodrigues, Superior General of FMCK, for understanding my request to provide shelter to the refugees from Manipur in case of any request, which will be routed through our NGO.
Within a mere 24 hours of initiating relief efforts for the homeless and disabled in Manipur, our local team encountered  families with young children in dire circumstances.
With no viable options other than facing homelessness or wandering aimlessly, these families were in urgent need of assistance.
Since setting up shelter homes for the homeless in Manipur would take time, we decided to temporarily accommodate such families in Goa as per the request of our local volunteers and team members at  Manipur, and our MANIPURI ADVISOR who is taken on board for the entire MANIPUR relief & rehabilitation program which we understand might take a few months to stabilise.
However, housing posed a challenge, as our existing homes were specifically for people with disabilities and the homeless.
In this regard, we approached our collaborators at FMCK and requested some further more space in Goa to accommodate these families until they can safely return to Manipur in the future.
Without hesitation, Sr. Fatima promptly responded with a resounding YES, opening the doors of her one FMCK home in Goa exclusively for the refugees.
Basically we have 3 rehabilitation homes for the homeless in Goa whicb are rented out to our NGO at a nominal cost from FMCK , which currently provide rehabilitation to approximately 20 women in 2 homes , 25 men in one home, including 30 local ethnic Goans suffering from homelessness and disabilities in these 3 homes put togther.
Throughout our five years of collaboration with FMCK sisters, we have maintained a healthy
Landlord-tenant relationship.
In times of crisis, Goa, known as a safe place, attracts people seeking refuge.
Consequently, individuals/ families arriving in Goa with their families, especially those loitering on the streets, are often spotted by the police who reach out to us for assistance.
We are preparing ourselves to address this inevitable situation, particularly during the challenging monsoon season.
My sources in different NE states tell me that there will be a requirement for temporary rehabilitation for the refugees.
We kindly request all members of CRI in Goa to kindly follow FMCK's lead and join hands with either witb us to accommodate families facing incomprehensible circumstances or to open up a few rooms.
All operational costs will be borne by our NGO incase of collaboration with our NGO.

We solely require the space to temporarily house these families, should the need arise on a temporary basis along with an incharge.
We are open to exploring various options and arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
Moreover, if any individuals in Goa possess unoccupied and habitable rooms, houses, or buildings, we urge them to partner with our NGO should the need arise.
It is an opportune moment to sow seeds of love and peace.
In our rehabilitation program, we welcome ,   rehabilitate & care for individuals of all religions, including Hindus, Christians, and Muslims, comprising both men and women.
Presently, our organization houses 165 + people from Goa and approximately 11 other states, including the North East, all of whom have been duly admitted by the Goa Police in our 8 shelter homes across Goa for the homeless and those with disabilities.
We implore you to extend your support in whatever capacity you can to assist those in need.
We are working on the ground in Manipur in a very big way by providing ration, medicines and shelter if the need arises, which is bound to happen.
Together, let us stand united in supporting all those who require help.
Your prayers, wishes, good thoughts , forwarding our messages to your friends and relatives along with your donation is what we ask from you.
We operate strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564 so please avoid calling unnecessarily.
God bless you so much

FOOD BANK FOR THEM POOR SANGOLDA, GOA SOWED IN MANIPUR ON GROUND ZERO

23.6.23. 7Pm IST
Today our Food Bank for the poor Sangolda, Goa sowed in Manipur on ground Zero :
☆ 32 bags of rice
☆ 10 bags of whole peas
☆ 3 tins of cooking oil
( prices were almost double as we bought from the local wholesaler ) .
For the amount we sowed, the quantity should have been much more, but due to economic blockade, the prices are rising and alot of goods are coming across the border adding to the price rise due to transport cost.
A small start to those who definitely are in need of help.
We intend to extend our work for the next few months and eventually we intend to set up a few shelter homes for the people with Disabilities in Manipur along with food banks.
Food bank for the Poor Sangolda Goa sets up  small food bank like facility in districts of Manipur to provide dry ration, grocery & basic medication to various people in shelters.
We are associating, collaborating, assisting and
working with Roman Catholic Church in Manipur.
Food is an essential aspect of life as well as medications.
Working last 5 years in Goa and running a registered Food Bank as well as rehabilitating homeless people with mental disabilities makes us feel the need to reach out to those in Manipur who might be in need of help.
Infact this year in Dec 2022 , The Government of Goa, awarded our NGO as the BEST NGO at the hands of The Honourable Chief Minister of Goa.
Surely there will be people turning homeless or people with disabilites suffering for want of food & medications and we are committed to support this section of society.
It's not an easy place at the moment to offer our services but all challenges are worth the effort.
We have to come out of our comfort zone to reach out to those in need.
The basic food requirements are :
☆ Rice
☆ Dal / whole peas
☆ Onions
☆ Potatoes
☆ Edible oil.
Simple life style and simple diet.
If we get an entire truck load of 13 tonnes into any district with the above items the cost reduces by over 40%.
That means transportation is the main factor as the goods into Manipur moves through 2 other states before the final destination is reached.
Medications will be all GENERIC which will be flown in from Delhi, as we buy alot of medicines for our shelter homes from Delhi for those with psychiatric issues in our shelter homes and this pharmacy provides us 1 month credit with door delivery but GENERIC in nature.
Few of our volunteers who have been with me right through the Kerala Flood relief as well as the Covid 19 period, will be going to Manipur in due course of time to help in the distribution and other relief works and to advice me the plan we need to focus on in the future once peace returns
RECALL / RECAP :
◇ 1. Kerala flood relief in 2018, our food bank sent 13 truck loads of relief material to different districts in Kerala worth close to Rs 1.5 crorers.

◇ 2. Lockdown of Covid 19 , we distributed close to Rs. 1 crore worth of Dry ration & relief material including oxygen cylinders, Ambulances, etc in Goa.

◇ 3. Plus we were the only NGO in GOA taking in close to 150 homeless street people into our shelter homes for rehabilitation during the entire Covid 19 lockdown.
At this time if you reading this message , feel like me for the poor, hungry , sick and people with disabilites in Manipur then you know WE CAN JOIN HANDS in doing the little we can.
As we eat our meal tonight or tomorrow or in the coming few days, or as we celebrate our functions, please do think about putting aside a little, towards our services in Manipur.
Due to Internet shutdown, we are unable to post pictures but once things get back to normal, all our activity in Manipur will be uploaded on our website.
Try avoid calling , but please whatsapp only for any queries on 8380097564.
We offer you Income tax exemption on your donations under Section 80G but for your donation we require your pan card copy.
We don't have FCRA so those intending to send from abroad please don't send through any exchange like WU or RIA.
We can sort this issue out on a one to one basis.
If you have any queries please do whatsapp me on 8380097564 .
Goa is on the West Coast & Manipur is Far East.
WE DARE TO DREAM.
God bless you all

WE NOT ONLY FOCUSES ON REHABILITATION OF THE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES BUT WE ALSO IMPART VOCATIONAL TRAINING.

22.6.2023  7 PM IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA not only focuses on rehabilitation of the people with Disabilities but we also impart VOCATIONAL TRAINING.
With the help of a PROFESSIONAL VOCATIONAL TRAINER and these small sessions you get those  little smile on the faces of the women who feel that they can DO IT.
Attached a 30 sec video which you must see.👇
☆ Session Topic :- Yarn wrapped bottle with pompom flowers
☆ Total inmates :- 07 ( 6 are ethnic goans )
☆ Active inmates :-04
☆ Inactive inmates :-03
☆ Time taken :-  10:45 to 12:30
All the 7 ladies who were imparted the session are on medium ( 6 tablets) to heavy ( 12 tablets) of psychiatric medication and what they have produced is not an easy task to achieve at their mental state.
Just like we have Physiotherapy sessions at our Physiotherapy centre's we also conduct VOCATIONAL TRAINING Sessions in our shelter homes for ladies.
We are fortunate to have a talented , young , committed and caring VOCATIONAL TRAINER, Mrs Dhanashri who we hired during the last few months to impart training to all the ladies in our shelter Homes.
Mrs Dhanashri takes sessions of :
》Cooking
》Flower making
》Playing games
》Paper craft work
》Flower making
》Etc.
At times I know it gets tough as their medications gets them drowsy or they just have mood swings but we DARE TO DREAM and persistence is the key.
Usually one understands that shelter homes with people with disabilites means just lock them up .
But @ Street Providence we include :
☆ Physiotherapy sessions
☆ Vocational training sessions
☆ Counseling sessions
☆ Outings sessions
☆ Gardening activities
Soon we will be adding :
◇ Live stock rearing
◇ Agriculture techniques
◇ Tailoring and sewing sessions
◇ Computer classes
◇ Painting & drawing classes
Today we have close to 55 lady inmates and by this year end we will be caring and rehabilitating close to 100 ladies suffering from mental & intellectual disabilities and it's time to EMPOWER THE WOMEN in our homes suffering from disabilities.
90 % of 165 + inmates are cared for absolutely FREE as they are poor and abandoned and of the 165 + inmates  ” close to 105 + are ethnic local poor goans “.
There was a time I was apprehensive to starting, running and caring for women suffering from disabilities as they can be difficult to handle at time.
But from slowly running only 1 women home ,
learning from our shortfall and mistakes, employing professionals,
listening to advice from various sections of qualified professionals &
the availability of funding under CSR activities,
Today we run 4 shelter homes for women with disabilities & I have challenged myself TO DREAM BIG & EMPOWER WOMEN in our 4 Shelter Homes.
We are very soon starting homes for women suffering from AUTISM & DOWN SYNDROME and it will be challenging but yet possible to take care of such ladies with these disabilities.
We all need to come out of our COMFORT ZONE and to bring that little smile on the faces on those who are suffering from disabilities and have no one to take care of themselves as they are a burden to their families because they don't take or are not administered their medications on time.
Your support is what drives us @ Street Providence Goa to look after close to 165 + men & women in our 8 shelter homes in Goa.
Do support us in whatever way you can.
God bless you so much
