THANKS PERPETUAL SUCCOUR HIGH SCHOOL, NAVELIM FOR DONATING 15 CRTS LACTOGEN NO 1, WORTH RS 1.5 lacs TOWARDS OUR MANIPUR RELIEF WORK

2.9.23. 7pm.IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA thanks Perpetual Succour High School, Navelim for donating 15 crts Lactogen No 1, Worth Rs 1.5 lacs towards our MANIPUR Relief work for infants and children in Camps.
♡♡♡ Our sincere thanks to Sr Liby , Headmistress of the School for arranging these 15 crts of Lactogen no 1.
In every  School, every teachers day ie 5th September,  students buys flowers or may be some gifts for the teachers.
This year the Management & teachers of this school, decided to contribute the same amount which would be spent on flowers,  for a worthy cause .
And so this Teachers Day in This school it will be more like a support and in Solidarity with the small infants and children in relief camps in Manipur.
And that's one of the best ways of celebrating TEACHERS DAY.
And this idea was the brain child of the Headmistress of the School, the ever smiling Sr Liby.
By the way Sr Liby is the President of the Headmasters Association of Goa and is well known across the Education field in Goa.
Only a Teacher can understand the needs of a child especially when the child can't go to school or circumstances such as the life in camps which makes Education very difficult.
As I write this post, one of our team members is in the Churachandpur district and has been visiting and distributing relief aid to camps and schools and one shocking discovery was ” in a particular area, one functioning school does not  have Electricity at all .”.
It's like pitch dark at night and children in this School hostel study with candles as Electricity is a luxury, infact in one such school we are attempting to donate a new Generator as well as Solar lamps.
Infact both Arturo & Joseph , currently in Manipur doing relief work are surprised at the no. of little children living not so good life in these camps
Sr Liby has shown her compassion and consideration by cutting down on flowers for this teachers day and encouraged the  Management ,fellow teachers & students to support the infants and small children in camps in Manipur.
Sr Liby was kind enough to inquire what we would accept from her school towards the MANIPUR Relief work.
Other Schools can also support such an idea and come forward and do the same .
Our next truck leaves Goa mid September to Churachandpur Manipur.
Big demand for :
☆ Stationary items
☆ Toys and recreational items
☆ Biscuits
☆ Etc
Once again A Happy Teachers Day on 5th September to all the Teachers especially to The Teachers of Perpetual Succour High School Navelim for this touching gesture.
All queries and communications strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

Fr GABRIEL, PARISH PRIEST OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY CHURCH, NAVELIM IS A HUMAN BEING WHO UNDERSTANDS HUNGER AND DESPAIR IN RELIEF CAMPS IN MANIPUR

31.8.23. 7Pm IST
Fr Gabriel, Parish Priest of Our Lady of The  Rosary church, Navelim is a human being who understands hunger and despair in Relief Camps In Manipur.
A small video of yesterday function 👇
♡♡♡ With all humility and gratitude , I thank The parishioners of Our Lady of The ROSARY CHURCH Navelim Goa for their GENEROSITY , which was BEYOND my expectations, towards our MANIPUR relief work.

A 10 days collection drive in the Church got us 1581 pkts of Cerelac & lactogen worth rs 5.5 lacs  and 10 students fees @ 40000 each .
♡♡♡ Big Thanks to SSVP of Our Lady of The ROSARY CHURCH NAVELIM for all the support.
The plight of those in the relief camps are not good as its over 3 months to date but the donations are slowing down as its but natural.
It was an inspiration from The Holy Spirit to approach churches in Goa to ask for support in kind towards Manipur Relief work of our NGO.
Exactly 15 days ago I approached Mrs ROSELINE from SSVP Navelim if we could get support from the Parish priest which we wanted.
Fr Gabriel was briefed and he agreed to the suggestion.
I too called Fr Gabriel and explained my requirements and what I intended to ask help for.
On 20.8.2023, Sunday , Mr Arturo & Myself were at The Rosary Church Navelim,  where after all 4 Holy Masses we were given 5 minutes to speak to the congregation before the final hymn.
I requested for Cerelac & Lactogen boxes as that's the needs of the little infants and very small children in the camps
Arturo explained about the needs of the School fees to be paid for over 300 children whose data was given to us by The Archdiocese of Imphal.
The response was WAY WAY beyond my expectations.
But the most touching part was FR GABRIEL giving us an opportunity to address his congregation, in his church, along with which
Fr Gabriel requesting SSVP Navelim to do the collection, storage and sorting of the Cerelac & lactogen.
No diplomacy stories or going round the bush by Fr Gabriel.
Straight Yes was his reply.
Thats How I look at Fr Gabriel, Parish Priest of Our Lady of The ROSARY CHURCH Navelim, a human being who understands the actual needs of the poor hungry children in the camps and those children whose education fees need to be paid.
Parish Priests have the audience , the platform and the people want to give in kind to STREET PROVIDENCE as we are not collecting any CASH so it's WIN WIN situation for those in Manipur relief camps.
If other Parish Priests in Goa can also PLEASE allow us this facility of speaking to their congregation and collecting predetermined fixed items in their premises for the poor children & those in relief camps in Manipur.
Please don't collect anything without confirming with me.
Remember on the 16tb August , Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao blessed our 1st truck from Goa to Manipur,  which boosted our work in Manipur, and the truck reached safely and as I write this post , our 2 member team is in Manipur distributing this same material to various relief camps in Churachandpur.
Another 2nd truck is planned for Manipur by mid September and the needs are many in the camps
We are not asking any donations in cash but only in kind and that too only fixed predetermined product ( not anything and everything ) which can be collected In so many churches in Goa.
In this case it was Cerelac & lactogen.
Total 65 cartoons in all.
♡♡♡ Once again A big thank you to all the Parishioners of Our Lady of The ROSARY CHURCH Navelim and The COMPASSIONATE Parish Priest Fr Gabriel not to leave out SSVP NAVELIM Parish & Mrs Roseline, who all made this possible togther with Street Providence Goa.
We operate strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564
If you click on our above link you can see all the daily relief work currently happening in Manipur through Arturo & Joseph.

SHOWS YOU ACTUAL REHABILITATION OF A GENUINE GOANS OLD WIDOW SUFFERING FROM SEVERE DISABILITIES AND LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LINE IN INHUMANE CONDITIONS

29.8.2023. 7 PM  IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA shows you actual rehabilitation of a genuine GOAN old widow suffering from severe disabilities and living below the poverty line in inhumane conditions & how much care Sr Mariya [ FMCK ] and the team @ our Cavelossim shelter home has put in to  bring her to the level what you see in the video attached👇👇
Lady is from Sanguem Constituency & was living in a home which was on the verge of collapse.
If I did not know the Social Welfare Minister of Goa, I would have never had accepted this lady.
One of the most, most difficult cases our NGO has ever handled.
Kamal was severely under nourished , totally unclean, no control over her bowels movement, suffering from NEURO issues, was crawling on her buttocks to move around.
Uncivilized & un Co operative,  but since the lady was from the Minister Constituency & really poor, we accommodate & we considered but she was on a pamper 24*7  &  wheel chair bound.
Sr Mariya ( FMCK ) our care giver used all her patience and tolerated all her short comings along with the shelter home women who were daily assigned duties in cleaning KAMAL.
Believe me it was not easy for many months as she could not control her bowels and would purposely remove the pamper & dirty the place.
Paralyzed one side with so many other complications which no one will ever want to handle and look after.
Slowly medication, hospital trips, check ups , massaging & PHYSIOTHERAPY brought about the change you see in the video.
Now, she has no pamper, communicates to use the wash room , disciplined, motivated to live , understands how she can get better.
In Cavelossim we have a Physiotherapy centre for our two shelter Homes in the same locality and this Physiotherapy Clinic is of big help to almost all the 40 inmates in both these Homes.
Few days back,  Sapnesh our manager even got Kamal to put her hands around him for support & started walking with support.
There are so many such KAMALs across Goa struggling to live a decent life but no activists ever highlights or makes videos of such poor old abandoned lonely widows.
As of today each village has 1 or 2 such KAMALs
& we can't rehab all of them as the homes are full.
The poor are increasing but who is interested in their welfare as there is no BIG money in highlighting their issues & fighting for them.
Shelter homes are often looked upon as that last option for such people but the costs of rehabilitating such people are so high & difficult that no one ventures into such services.
Street Providence Goa has been taking in pathetic & complicated cases for rehabilitation irrespective of the condition of the person while admitting as we DARE TO DREAM that everyone is HEALED and RECOVERY has already happened.
We belive the future and we speak LIFE , RECOVERY, GOOD HEALTH even if the person is not improving.
We Believe that EVERY ONE in our 8 shelter homes one day has to RECOVER & then help the others to RECOVER.
Many times we loose hope, disappointment arises,  misunderstanding pop up but I SEE THE SUFFERING CHRIST IN the poorest of the poor and mind you I never ever visit any of the shelter homes I run, as that's a principal I follow and there is a huge team employed to get the things moving.
My FAITH has to get the job done not my presence in the home.
If I am motivated naturally the team is motivated & if I am POSITIVE in my Thinking naturally the team is going to get the job done.
Today we have 6 trained lady nurses who Have completed 1 year of home nursing course & by January 2024 i will be having 16 such trained nurses to care for close to 100 such KAMALs across Goa crying quietly & living in pathetic conditions.
Very soon 2 more women shelter Homes will be starting in North & South Goa.
Both
The Social Welfare Minister &
The Women and Child Minister, Government of Goa should look into our problems and sort out our genuine issues otherwise one day we too will be forced to reconsider our services to the poorest of the poor in Goa
Few of our grants in both departments are not released as of date and I am at loss of Words why the delay.
We step in to do what the Government should be doing but for that Grant's have to move as nothing comes free especially when you have 175 + people and of which 110 are ethnic goans, and of which 120+ are people with disabilites of the total 175 +.
God bless you all

26.8.23. 7pm. IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA 1st relief truck from Goa, today finally reached safely to
CHURACHANDPUR , Manipur covering 4000 kms in 10 days flat.
( Overall 5 trucks of dry ration has already been delivered in Manipur itself to the Archdiocese of Imphal containing 50 tonnes of ration & this is the 6th truck in total but the 1st from Goa ) .
》On 16th truck leaves Goa 11 am
》On 20th truck reaches Guwahati 5 pm
》On 22nd truck reaches Aizawl at 8 am
》On 23rd truck leaves for Churachandpur at 8 pm
》On 26th truck touched down Churachandpur 8am.
Roads on Aizawl – Churachandpur are extremely not in the best of conditions.
For over 3 months + , this entire district of Churachandpur having a population of
4.5 to 5 lacs ( 1/2 a million people) is being serviced from Aizawl for most of anything & everything.
Today as I write this post I am satisfied that in this district we have sent / delivered upto to date:
☆ A.  Dry ration totaling 17 tonnes
☆ B.  Medications worth Rs 10 lacs
☆ C. This relief truck worth Rs 18 lacs
Next month 2nd relief truck is getting ready from Goa.
We are planning in the 2nd truck next month to send 500 crts of tiger biscuits & 300 to 400 crts of Cerelac and lactogen focusing on Children.
On Monday our team ( 3rd trip) is leaving for Manipur to oversee the distribution of the medicines & this relief truck.
Also we are starting renovation of our 1st shelter home for the homeless in Imphal as well as we are handling over education fees of the children who have been displaced due to the violence.
Besides the team has a few other areas of relief work to cover and sort out.
Only With the THE FAVOUR OF GOD and your prayers & blessings, this truck has reached safely and much ahead of time as I had calculated 15 days approx from Goa to Churachandpur.
♡♡♡ Thanks to DELHIVERY TRANSPORT COMPANY for taking care of all the logistics right from Goa to Churachandpur within flat 10 days.
♡♡♡ To all the benefactors who donated in kind and through cheques / NEFT,  please take note ” this is your relief truck not mine, we are only the link between you and the displaced people in Manipur “.
We are committed to the displaced people In Manipur for the next 6 months as of now.
Coming month another 50 tonnes of dry ration will be sent to different camps from Manipur itself.
Another Rs 20 lacs of Medicines are also planned for the coming months.
A truck full of toys is being considered from Goa to Manipur for the displaced children in camps ,
( 4th truck )
The 3rd truck will only contain note books and stationary as those thousands of displaced children in camps need to be occupied else there will be huge health issues.
We @ Street Providence understand life in camps especially where poor children are concerned.
We run 8+ shelter homes in Goa which are like mini camps , 9th home starting soon in Goa, so we know how and what life is in a camp and what needs to be done to keep the motivation up & running especially of the small children & people with disabilites.
I am not going to Manipur till we innaugrate the shelter home as I am having alot of
co ordination to do here in Goa.
Many good chosen tough people are already working with our NGO in Manipur and ” too many Cooks spoil the soup “
We request you to support our work in Manipur in the coming months as now life for the displaced will get tough and alot of help will be required.
All queries & requests strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

ONCE UPON A TIME, HAD ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, RESCUED, TREATED AT IPHB ,NOW ON 1 TABLET AND TODAY INCHARGE OF ORGANIZING 120+ PATIENTS PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATION ACROSS 8 + HOMES.

25.8.23. 7Pm IST
Once upon a time, had attempted suicide, rescued, treated at IPHB , put on 9 medicines per day , rehabilitated at our NGO, now on 1 tablet and today incharge of organizing 120+ patients psychiatric medication across 8 + homes.
No rocket science, Pure rehabilitation.
Street Providence Goa has been for the last 6 years caring for all types of poor & homeless people suffering from Disabilities, HIV , Suicide tendencies, drug addicts & alcoholics, unwed mothers, widows , Abandoned parents, etc.
Each time I decide to accept an admission it's a tough decision to make as I am not professionally qualified to handle all these above type of people but it's the SYSTEM that has been created/ got created / linked/ etc which makes our 8 + shelter homes a unique model in Goa.
Well the man in the video Mr Abhishek Roy & his sister had both attempted suicide and in this attempt their mother too attempted and did not survive,  but they both survived.
Sounds scary? Well it was back then when I met them at IPHB.
Well they were under immense pressure and stress and highly complicated yet homeless & desperate to start life again.
Imagine you end up in a state with no one, lost your mother, police case , admitted into IPHB , treated and now you have to go out of the hospital.
But go where ? No money ? 10 big bags , a sister who suffers from severe bouts of fits & both of them on Severe psychiatric medications.
That day it was tough call to make but as a human being towards two fellow human beings
” we opened our doors to both of them “.
Both were highly disturbed and I was disappointed as it was really difficult to handle them.
Lazy , crazy , disruptive, complicated , argue, complain and so many medicines per day which made them loose their interest in life.
It was challenging initially.
But on the positive side Abhishek could read & write English fluently, no habits of alcohol , cigarettes or tobacco , was clean in his daily habits but very very talkative and too many questions.
He was hurt & disappointed in life and wanted to be in the center of everything.
Slowly he understood my mind but not before we had told him to leave our home many times as he was always asking questions.
We as a team assured him our support and reassured him that his sister would be taken care and looked after LIFE LONG provided he took responsibility of small things in the home and was accountable for these small works in the house.
It worked.
He was given a few bed ridden / wheel chair bound men to clean , shave, bathe , feed and care for which he did systematically and diligently.
He was then sent to hospitals ie IPHB & GMC with our patients for their monthly evaluations & check ups where he met the same doctors who once were treating him for his psychiatric issues.
He was then made an incharge of a shelter home where the responsibility of giving daily psychiatric medications to the others in the home was his responsibility
ABHISHEK found his purpose in life .
He was now at peace and slowly his medication from 9 tablets a day settled to just 1 tablet a day.
He was totally set free of his demons & his past.
We have perfected the ART of REHABILITATING those with Suicidal tendencies and today we care for 10 such people diagnosed with Suicidal tendencies but absolute 💯 % normal.
ABHISHEK accepted his mistakes and was ready to let go of the hurts which was the reason his mind would allow him to work.
And that daily work of going to hospitals with other homeless people suffering from Disabilities was just what was needed to stir and fire his spirit up.
Once a pain in the neck , was now an integral part of our shelter homes for homeless men with disabilities.
15.7.23 he was brought to porvorim shelter home and instructed to keep an eye on all the 120+ inmates medication which he started doing faithfully.
Moment the regular staff quit without notice , Abhishek took over.
This month ABHISHEK ROY got all this organized in 8 hours flat in one day and the icing on the cake was ” once a psychiatric patient in this same hospital,  this month sitting with the big doctor ( CONSULTANT / ASST PROFESSOR ) and even got medication for 30+ patients for 2 months in advance “.
The staff for two years would complete the same process in 4 to 5 days every month.
For a CONSULTANT/ ASST PROFESSOR to entertain Mr ABHISHEK ROY and prescribe the medication in one day and see that he gets what is needed is not Childs play .
That speaks VOLUMES of our way of REHABILITATION PROGRAM we have been running FREE of COST for the poorest of the poor & the homeless with disabilites.
Not many will understand this post , but it's like this is short sleeve English ” once REJECTD today A LIGHT TO THOSE REJECTED “.
By 29th of this month,  all 120+ inmates monthly medication boxes will be prepared in Porvorim home by Abhishek, checked by Sapnesh and sent to all 8 homes.
Not a freaking easy job even for a fully paid normal employee as there are 3 different check lists with 3 different people before it reaches the homes .
GOD does not abandon the homeless and the poor.
Our NGO works on systems and its All The Favour of God.
Medication is the most difficult, complicated and mind blowing activity in our shelter homes as not all Medication are given free by IPHB.
We also order from Antilla Generic pharmacy , Guirim,  as well as from a big wholesaler in New Delhi and this is all a patient & systematic process which is inbuilt in a system.
Like I tell many ” I created many systems over the last 6 years and no matter who comes & goes the systems take care of the NGOs needs across all sectors like rehabilitation, food bank , Physiotherapy clinics, Vocational training sessions, Art & craft sessions, relief work , etc.,”
At Street Providence I have faced many storms and disappointment but we have only grown as I have understood from BRO JOHNSON teaching
” Storms are meant to build you up “.
When the foundation is solid , the intentions are clear , when there is The Favour of God , nothing can stop GODs work.
At Street Providence we provide assured time frame for rehabilitation patients suffering from severe disabilities irrespective of their situation at the time of their admission.
No case is too difficult to handle at Street Providence especially for those diagnosed with severe mental disabilities.
It's a JOY to bring a smile back on the face of Abhishek Roy once on 9 tablets daily , today only on 1 psychiatric tablet.
God bless you so much
Donald Fernandes

SO MUCH PAIN, SICKNESS , SUFFERING IN THESE WOMENS WHO ARE FROM THE STREETS OR WHO ARE POOR , ABANDONED & SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES

23.8.23 7Pm IST
A compassionate Police Sub inspector @ old Goa, Miss Laureen Sequeira , who wanted to admitt into our home a run way girl two months back.
A run away unwed girl from 3000kms admitted into our home.
( Two months earlier)
A delivery which almost almost rattled my bones late night.
( two months later )
A surprise visit by A Bishop to the girl on her discharge telling her GOD STILL LOVES YOU inspite of the mistake.
Last 15 days at our shelter homes were difficult and still difficult especially in the women shelter Homes.
So much pain, sickness , suffering in these women who are from the streets or who are poor , abandoned & suffering from mental disabilities.
Most of the adminissions of the homeless are through the police and sickness is like credit cards in your purse , so much of sickness in each of the homeless.
☆ Case no 1:
A poor unwed young girl who travelled 3000 kms brought by Goa Police who was 7 months pregnant about 2 months ago , was keeping us all on our toes.
The lady PSI Laureen Sequeira was the 1st person who brought hope to the unwed mother.
This was our original post 👇
About 10 days back went into labour pain and our team had alot to do.
Got her admitted into a good private hospital and we had to keep 2 trained home nurses with her as she had a normal delivey but sudden bleeding issues which kept us all anxious.
Said a silent prayer telling God ” we had enough of trouble last 2 months can u please look into the matter and give us some peace, we are all overloaded “.  [ KOT ].
Bleeding stopped and blood was not required as we were earlier put on high alert for 2 pints of blood.
Networked with CWC, got the paperwork done and sent the mother & Child to the  designated shelter home for further stay.
We could have used the Government hospital but the mother wanted to just move away in life at any cost.
Usually we at times read or hear how small new born babies are abandoned.
And immediately we condemn the mother for being so heartless.
But how many of us actually know the freaking stress the women goes through while carrying an unwanted child ?
And most of these poor women don't know the process of getting such babies to registered homes for such babies.
Well 2 months back we had assured this young girl that we will stand by her and give her all the support she needs during her pregnancy  and also after she delivers.
And that's what we did.
Infact the hospital has given us credit and told us YOU CAN PAY THE BILL LATER.
The entire two months our manger Mr Sapnesh Salgaonkar provided the best care and himself ran around those crucial 5 days in the hospital to see that the young girl was at ease.
Frankly speaking I am yet to meet or even speak to the girl.
Bishop Theodore was on a personal visit to Goa & I briefed him about the matter and he volunteered to comfort the girl as she starts life afresh.
Usually such cases are looked down upon but Bishop Theodore took time from his personal visit to Goa, dropped in and prayed.
Very touching real life event which can be verified by anyone if needed.
☆ Case 2 :
Fatorda Police about 6 months back late night brings a  goan lady from the streets of Fatorda to our home.
Girl is so sick and having so much complications that we also don't know how to solve her issues.
Blood transfusion is what she requires and we have had this done 3 times at the District hospital Mapusa for which I must appreciate the District hospital for caring and treating this goan lady even though she is homeless.
The lady comes from a very rich family in SANCOALE but the mother refuses to accept her as her daughter, due to past issues.
Their house is like 2 to 3 Crores worth.
Now she has developed BONE MARROW issues and daily we are running around in GMC for all tests and treatment.
Plus she is suffering from mental disabilities and very very stubborn and irritating.
But she is a human and we have to care for her.
☆ Case 3 :
A poor Goan aged girl suffering from mental disabilities admitted by her married sisters who themselves are poor & struggling hand to mouth, developed TB and has a wound which requires daily dressing at the district hospital.
And last 30 days we are daily doing this dressing fron the shelter home in Guirim to District Hospital Mapusa.
When admitted was totally underweight.
These are the services we provide daily for the last 6 years at our shelter homes.
Sometimes it's crazy and disappointing.
I don't know at times whether to keep the homes open or just close and go back to my sales job.
So many requests , so many admissions piled up, so much pain, sorrow, disappointing families approach us daily.
Last 15 days we had 2 drivers down with fever & sore eyes, truck to Manipur was planned, sore eyes in one shelter home which had to contain, office staff got sick.
STORMS & STORMS,  but we sit still, till it passes, we never fight the STORM but we call out to GOD to navigate through the STORM
[ KOT ].
WE DARE TO DREAM in all situations & circumstances.
All your queries strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564
God bless you all

WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASSOCIATE WITH AMAZON WHO DONATED 300 FLOOD RELIEF KITS WITH DONATEKART AS IMPACT PARTNER

22.8.23. 10am IST
The 1st truck which left Goa for Churachandpur Manipur has completed the 2nd leg of the journey and reached safely Aizawl, Mizoram.
16th the truck left Goa 11am
20th the truck reached Guwahati 5pm
22nd smaller truck reached Aizawl 8am.
♡♡♡ Thanks to so many people who have prayed and blessed this truck, especially Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao who blessed the truck.
Now the 3rd leg , the difficult & complicated .
We not only work in Manipur for those who might not be aware of our NGO but we work also in Goa and we continously are doing relief work be it in food, rehabilitation or flood relief last 5 years + in Goa as well as the Kerala floods of 2018 , where we sent 13 truck loads of relief material.
Last month Goa saw alot of rainfall.
We had the opportunity to associate with AMAZON who donated 300 flood relief kits with
DONATEKART as Impact partner.
It took a little time to get these 300 kits across to the most affected poor goan across Goa but we did what was needed- Relief to those affected
We sent the kits to these areas :
☆ Canacona Taluka
☆ Benaulim/ margao
☆ Mayem constituency

Logistics is an important issue in any relief work undertaken followed by paperwork and accounting .
We are very strong in logistics and that's the reason we are last 2 months working in a big way in MANIPUR.
Wherever there is hunger, homelessness, relief, disabilities , abandonment, elderly people, unwed mothers,  etc WE ARE THERE standing ready to help with our Trustees , staff , Numerous silent volunteers, CSR partners & benefactors.
Very soon we will be working in a big way in Mizoram & Jharkhand with relief towards the poor & displaced.

OUR 1st TRUCK FROM GOA WITH RELIEF MATERIALS TOWARDS MANIPUR HAD LEFT GOA ON 16th AT 11am AND REACHED SAFELY GUWAHATI , ASSAM

20.8.2023. 7Pm IST
Our 1st truck from Goa with relief material towards Manipur had left Goa on 16th at 11am and reached safely Guwahati , Assam today at 5pm , without any troubles or breakdown in record time of 4 days covering 2800 kms.
1st leg of this consignment completed today.
Attached picture of the truck at Guwahati
♡♡♡ I thank all of you for praying to GOD for the safety of THIS truck from Goa as well as Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao for blessings this truck.
God is alive and he lives some where , but I know he listens to me daily in my work towards the poor and the needy.
So I conclude ” GOD DWELLS IN THE POOR “
Today I was at Navelim church for all the 4 holy masses and at the 2nd Holy Mass , the young father in his sermon asked / spoke / explained where is God.
At the same time in Navelim church I was thanking GOD that this truck reaches safely.
At 5 pm this evening the driver informs our manager Mr Sapnesh that the truck has reached Guwahati and it's being offloaded into a warehouse and tomorrow it will be reloaded into a 9 ton truck to proceed to Aizawl Mizoram.
And immediately my mind thought about ” cost of this truck to mizoram ” as it was despatched on credit and I will need to pay the transport company.
At 6 pm I told my wife ” I am telling & told GOD , pls send me Rs ××× Lacs as donations to pay the truck which has now reached Guwahati and in 2 to 3 days it will reach Aizawl “.
At 7.10 pm , through a whatsapp message , one of our regular benefactor for over many years confirms a donation close to the equivalent cost which the transport company will be raising the bill.
Attached snap shot of what how GOD got me the transportation bill through a donation.
I inquire with the benefactor ” why did u give a donation for this fixed amount which is close to equivalent of this truck ? And why did u give it today ?”.
Benefactor says ” last 15 days I made up my mind to give you this donation of this amount “.
And practically on 1st of August the transport company had told me the approximate figure it would cost me to send a truck from Goa to Mizoram.
☆☆ GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, &
ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD ☆☆
Since the relief work is for the poorest of the poor, irrespective of which community, GOD knows how to take care of his children.
My job has always been to plant many many seeds at one time but it's GODs job to get the fruit.
Seeds have to be planted in the right season, in the right time and watered and cared for.
GOD has to provide the fruit.
Simultaneously just 2 days back a whatsapp message was on my phone saying ” I want to give you a donation and my parent also wants to give you a donation but my parent is very old “.
So I drove to this home which is one way 50 kms and the parent was not OLD but VERY VERY OLD may be 90+ years.
The child gave me the donation and the parent too gave me the donation but Said something very touching ” I closed my account and all this is for the poor in Manipur , I don't need this anymore as I am too old “.
Usually old or very old people don't part with all their savings and that too giving away to an NGO who they are seeing only on Social media.
At the time of finishing the conversation, I tried to shake hands with the VERY VERY old parent but the parent said ” take my blessings ” and blessed me and surely Said one prayer for me .
These small acts of kindness / blessings / prayers are VERY important to me as its not easy raising resources – forget Manipur , Even to run our 9 Shelter homes where we care for 170 + homeless people & people with severe mental disabilities.
GOD & ONLY GOD is the answer.
Irrespective of how a few % of people judge me or condemn me , GRACE OF GOD is what matters the most.
I am human and have my faults and I commit mistakes but GOD is a loving GOD and he knows the HEART.
Many times I tell people ” I give GOD the K.O.T , rest GOD delivers ” when I am asked ” how do you manage so many projects “.
Nothing is run by me nor I am not the boss of Street Providence.
GOD is the boss, I am the servant.
Our 2nd truck from Goa will leave in 2nd week of September depending on the weather forecast & Surely I will be sending my K.O.T to GOD to get a benefactor to foot the transportation bill of the 2nd truck from Goa.
Incase you reading this post & in the next few days feel that God is talking to you about this bill please listen to God.
We operate strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564
God bless you all

HAS BEEN SUPPORTING NUMEROUS POOR FAMILIES ACROSS GOA WITH DRY RATION OVER A PERIOD OF 4 YEARS

19.8.23. 7pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA has been supporting numerous poor families across Goa with dry ration over a period of 4 years to the best ability that we can afford
The above link will explain you life of the poor and elderly who have no one to support them.☝️
This post is about our Volunteer Mrs Sharon Soares from Canacona.
Last 3 years our NGO ie Street Providence has been taking care of numerous poor ethnic goan families across 7 villages in Canacona.
We have been consistently providing for dry ration kits @ Rs 1000 per kit to 25 families, sometimes even 35 families.
Very poor and sad state of each and every one of these families.
Sharon has been taking care of the delivey & the logistics of the monthly dry ration which is prepacked and at times she even delivers a few families at their door step.
These families are based right from Agonda to Galgibaga and both communities are given this free dry ration.
A few families have been provided new electricity connection which the NGO has borne the costs.
All major festivals, new clothes are at times given to all these families.
Small small requests for expenses are considered.
Couple of these families were provided free gas cylinders and new stoves last year as they were still cooking on wood due to no valid documents to acquire a gas connection.
All goes through Sharon and she scrutinizes each and every family.
Most of these 25 -35 poor families are either : having some sick member in their family,
Only the old lady is in the small house ,
Or only husband & wife alone
Etc
Some of these families are only depending on the dry ration that Sharon provides.
Few of these families if you see with your eyes will make you wonder ” Does poverty exist in Goa ? “.
And we have numerous such volunteers across different parts of Goa who network with our NGO & Work with hundreds of such poor families either through dry ration or through our Food bank fridges.
Two weeks back , Our Volunteer Mr Arturo Dsouza from Santa Cruz Goa went to Canacona along with Sharon and they distributed 50 flood relief kits along with 35 dry ration kits to these families.
Arturo  could not believe his eyes what he saw and how poor goans are living & yet the question ” are there any poor goans living in Goa” ?
The video & the above link will explain you how the poor Goan people are currently living right here in Goa.
This post is not for criticism towards anyone but it's to open our own eyes and see how best each one can help another poor Goan family when the system fails the poorest of the poor.
Criticism does not bring any relief to the poor but that same energy if put to use in a constructive manner fills the stomach of the poor.
And that's what we do @ Street Providence be it Goa, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Manipur – we fill in the gaps towards the poor & hungry , the homeless, the people with Disabilities , those in relief camps, the widows, the old & infirmed, etc.
We draw the attention of the administration by filling in the gaps towards the poor and putting something on their plate, a roof on their head,  a hand to hold , a handkerchief to wipe that tear , a home to live in incase family abandoned them, etc.
All our 15 different types operations @ Street Providence is a TEAM based effort with many many volunteers and staff in different roles playing their little part which they do with COMMITMENT & WHOLE HEARTEDLY.
It's about SERVICE & not a Favour.
One question most of you will have in mind ie
” how does one raise the resources? “.
Well its the Grace of God & as well the generous benefactors who stand with our NGO in our work last 6 years across so many projects.
God knows whom to send to help me when I need the finances.
Right seeds sown in the right season with the clean intentions will and has to always bring and bear FRUITS.
The same anount of work & effort what we put in in Manipur is equally put in Goa also .
Only difference is the teams are different.
Problem are the same – POVERTY
God bless you all
