“DISTRIBUTED 2 LACS + MULTIVITAMIN TABLETS WORTH Rs 20 lacs + , FREE OF COST WITHIN 3 DAYS FLAT.

26.6.2022. 7pm IST
The ” Dr Gail & Ditosa Memorial Medical Clinic, Sangolda , @ Street Providence Goa
“distributed  2 lac + Multivitamin tablets worth Rs 20 lacs + ,  free of cost, within 3 days flat.
♡♡♡ We thank Mrs LIBY MENDONCA, a BENEFACTOR from Vasco who handed over these Multivitamins to our NGO for our inmates in our shelter Homes.
However it was more than what we needed and so we thought it prudent to  redistribute the same to other such homes & NGOs  for the benefit of the  old and deserving .
HIV infected families also received a fair amount of these tablets to help build up their immunity.
The tablets are prescribed for adults above 18 years of age and were distributed accordingly.
Picking up 2 lac+  tablets from Vasco proved to be a mammoth task as this included relocating the boxes at our Sangolda Clinic before redistributing to selected beneficiaries.
But I am happy to say that no task is hard for our staff at STREET PROVIDENCE.
Their determination to get the task complete in the face of many hurdles is what inspires me in my day to day journey.
The multivitamin tablets were distributed  to:
☆ 1.  Fr Valerian Vaz , Saligao Seminary –  50,000 Nos.
☆ 2.  Fr Nazareth , SFX, Pilar – 50, 000 Nos.
☆ 3.  Sr Vandan, FMCK , Saligao – 17,000 Nos.
☆ 4.  Sr Edith , FATIMA Convent , Guirim –  6,000 Nos.
☆ 5.  Mr Mahesh,  NGO ZINDAGI- (for HIV families) – 70,000 Nos.
☆ 6. To Sakhur Village , Nashik –  10,000 Nos.
The balance was kept  for our shelter homes and our staff .
Our strength lies in our transparency and our commitment to get the job done .
Over the years since inception, we have built a rock solid network across Goa.
We also have various resources at hand like :
☆ 1. A huge labor force of rehabilitated residents who are involved in our day to day programs.
☆ 2. Storage space.
☆ 3. Vehicles to move and transport stuff.
☆ 4. And most importantly dedicated back office staff to get things organized
Hence these 2 lac + Multivitamin tablets were distributed with great ease in 3 days despite the heavy rains.
We gladly offer our services free of cost if any benefactor/philantrophist desires to distribute items free to the poor and needy in Goa.
Together we can make a difference in the lives of the needy.
We need to do this NOW!
It's only in giving one Gets.
God bless you All

IS THANKFUL TO A YOUNG GOAN MAN , Mr CAJETAN BARRETTO ALIAS POLLY FOR GETTING HELP TO HIS FELLOW VILLAGER Mr CONCESSCIO RODRIGUES FROM NUVEM TO GET OFF THE STREETS

24.6.2022  8 pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is thankful to a young goan man , Mr Cajetan Barretto alias Polly for  getting  help to his fellow villager Mr Concesscio Rodrigues from Nuvem to get off the streets today in this torrential non stop rains .
Before and after picture along with this post .
What should have happened to Mr  Concesscio 3 to 5 years back happened today.
The man is homeless, unclean, living in pathetic condition and yet its cool with those in that area.
I have been informed a couple of times by people but it's just not possible to respond to such requests without follow up .
This is how this street rescue happened.
Fr Richard from Don Bosco Tuem calls me on Sunday and disturbs my sleep by explaining about the man .
But he links me up with Mr Cajetan wife ,
Mrs Glenda who shows commitment to get help to their fellow villager.
Last 4 days we are planning how and when we can make this rescue .
This morning Mr Cajetan follows the procedure and our team in 2 Jeeps drive down to Nuvem from Sangolda .
Inspector Mr Mohan Gaude of Curtorim Police Station is informed who co operates by deputing the beat Constable Mr Vilas Dhuri to help in the rescue .
Attached a 2 min video . 👇
Our team of Mr Eric supported by Mr  Pobres & Mr Mayur ( both once In similar situations on the streets ) swing into action.
At 1st the man  is very aggressive and tries to run .
I try reasoning out with him and using all my past 5 years experience I find his weak point .
I sense he wants help and I walk one side and say a small prayer asking God for Grace to help me to help this man .
The full journey from Sangolda to Nuvem I am listening to Praise & Worship .
I try reasoning out again, 1st peacefully then sternly that he takes our help for his benefit as it's freaking raining non stop.
Once he understands that we are helping him, he agrees to sit and get a haircut and a shave .
He was literally crawling on the ground at the side of the same building trying to avoid us picking him up .
But he quietly gets up and sits on a make shift stool and we start cutting his hair and then timing his beard and mustaches.
We are fully prepared with water , bucket,  clothes,  slippers,  scissors etc .
We then take off all his soiled and wet clothes and give him a bath which I am not sure when he had last .
We put on new clothes and then the man thinks, feels and understands that we are going to leave him there and walk away .
Again I raise my voice and explain to him that he requires food, treatment, medication and a roof.
He understands but his Spirit is pressing him down not to get off the dark & into the light .
With support from the locals and Mr Cajetan we put him into our Ambulance and he is admitted into our shelter home .
There will be issues for two days till he gets detoxified and on Monday he will get taken for a full medical checkup.
A job well executed today which could and should have happened many years ago .
Our NGO failed him all these years but more than that the fellow villagers should have been a little more considerate and helped him .
There are many more out there in the rains and it's all our responsibility to help such homeless people who are just having no place to go and no hand to hold on too.
I prayer and thank God that there are many more Mr Cajetan & Mrs Glenda , who are coming forward in identifying and co ordinating with us to get help to such people on the streets.
Again it's a collective effort by you as a SOCIETY.
We are the services providers who depend on public donations to do the job which the state is suppose to do.
But then who cares ?
We have space for another 50 such men incase they want to get off the streets.
At the moment I have a good team , plenty of vehicles to pick the homeless, good care givers to treat such people, fantastic support from the Government hospitals , co operative Police Inspectors @ Goa Police , Generous benefactors.
Only thing missing is Time.
Please support our NGO.

ARE THANKFUL TO WALK INDIA PROJECT, ORGANIZED BY FREEDOM TRUST & SUPPORTED BY Caritas GOA

23.6.2022. 7pm IST
We @ Street Providence Goa are thankful to Walk India Project , organized by Freedom Trust, & supported by Caritas Goa  , where by three of our homeless men were fitted with an artificial limb yesterday.
A Fitment & Distribution of Artificial Limb camp  was organized and we sent three of our homeless street men to avail of this FREE facility.
At our shelter Homes , we accept the saddest and pathetic cases of homeless disabilities,  which no one ( including those claiming to represent Disabilities) are bothered about and we literally struggle to help them transform their lives .
Looks like homeless people with disabilities are not any ones priorities any more these days.
Any way frustrations aside.
These 3 men were literally living on the streets of Goa in dirty , shabby,  unclean,  miserable conditions for months if not years and if not for us, they would still be there today in this terrible rain.
Attached 3 pictures of 3 men who have benefitted from this free artificial limb camp.
And 1 video . 👇
☆ No 1
Mr Niranjan , amputated and begging at calangute Beach main circle for months
Picked up in Feb 22 .
Today much stable and relaxed in our home .
☆ No 2
Mr Vijay , having an amputated / polio lower leg and begging all his life.
Stayed with us earlier in 2019 then left, reached the streets,  brought back in Mar 22 by the cops .
Now on medication , as he has been begging all his life which has made him depend on alcohol & tobacco and takes alot of time to detoxify him .
☆ No 3.
Mr Patil was living at Goa Velha market for years, crawling on his buttocks as his foot / leg was heavily infected with maggots.
An operation at GMC , resulted in his amputation.
We have close to 10 such cases in our shelter homes who are without a limb .
Sometimes it's just unbearable handling such people.
And most have lost their mind which makes the care givers job even tougher .
They have to be fed,  bathed,  shaved , groomed, taken to the washroom in the initial stages as when they are on the streets, all their jobs are done or conducted in the same spot .
All NGOs ( including ours at times ) have failed these PWDs and I say even the DISABILITY COMMISSIONER OF GOA has to focus and look into these homeless PWDs.
I am sure after this post The Disability Commissioner, Mr Gurudas Pawaskar will get things moving .
Good man Mr Pawaskar, I have had a couple of meetings with him but not reached any where.
It's like no one can see these homeless PWDs and infact they are every where loitering and crawling in Goa .
How is that only we reach out to help them and we can see them ?
Take STREET PROVIDENCE aside and there actually no one ready to take them in and shelter them.
And if any Home is taking in such PWDs in Goa let me know,  I can direct a couple of such cases who are on the street to the these homes through the police.
I am literally fed up at the complete neglect of these homeless PWDs .
Less spoken about the Director of Social Welfare, the better as I am told that the Director is not even aware of Street Providence rehabilitating such PWDs who are homeless.
If the authorities of the state can't help the homeless PWDs then how can our small NGO help so many out there?
No authorities have a clear plan for rehabilitation and admission of homeless PWDs in Goa including :
☆ the police,
☆ the government hospitals,
☆ the social Welfare dept,
☆ the IPHB
☆ And even the office of the Disability Commissioner.
This has to tackled on an immediate basis,  as the current monsoon fury is at its peak .
We have the capacity to take in as many as possible but Government through their different departments should provide some financial aid and two nodal officers ie Doctor & A Dysp / SP.
One thing I must appreciate ” Government of Goa ” has never ever troubled our NGO in any way or any form .
Please support our NGO.
You get 50% deduction / rebate under section 80G of the INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.

FEEDS DAILY ACROSS GOA IN DIFFERENT PLACES

22.6.2022. 7pm IST
FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA feeds daily across Goa in different places hundreds if not thousands of meals, to the poorest of the poor .
Here is one such place in the Parish of St Diogo church @ Guirim -Sangolda , Bardez Goa .
90 sec video attached of the breakfast serving. 👇
The SSVP wing of St Diogo has taken the responsibility of feeding the breakfast and many times lunch / dinner to 125 – 150 poor beneficiaries of this Parish, most of whom are poor goan locals.
What started with just 1 fridge run by the President of SSVP @ St Diogo Church , Mrs Aura & Lawrence ( her husband) in Dec 2020 and a few meals,  has now grown to 3 fridges catering to 125 -150 breakfast nos @ Rs 20 per head .
Also when ever our food bank receives extra cooked food, Lawrence distributes these meals to the poorest of the poor in the village.
The above link will explain how it started. ☝️
I feel happy that our food bank is working in our village for  the poor all because of SSVP, and we are no where physically involved in the daily feeding.
Our job is to provide the meals and see that the bills are paid for the breakfast which includes freshly cooked parathas , boiled eggs, Bananas & poies.
The SSVP service is to serve the food and organize the beneficiaries and run the program.
It's a entirety SSVP team work supported from outside by the Food Bank .
You too can support this program by contributing to our NGO on the occasion of your functions like your birthday , anniversary, special occasions by helping us with the breakfast bills @ Rs 20 per breakfast.
Please support our NGO.
You get 50% deduction / rebate under section 80G of the INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.

YESTERDAY GETS HELP TO THIS ELDERLY HOMELESS MAN

20.6.2022. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA yesterday gets help to this elderly homeless man who has been roaming with a maggot infected foot on the roads of Goa .
Jaypal as he says his name is , was brought to my attention on 16.6.2022 as he was sitting outside DG MART Old Goa with a wounded leg in a bag.
108 & Old Goa Police were called to help him hut he just walked away .
☆ 17.6.2022 at night, I got a whatsapp from the police at Bambolim that there is a man in the subway with a wounded leg in a bag.
☆ 18.6.2022 , we picked another man from GMC Subway, but Jaypal was missing and was spotted at Porvorim.
Now the part , which makes me feel ashamed.
☆ I saw Jaypal on 18.6.2022 in Porvorim but I was just too upset to stop and pick him as I had just picked another man .
Now this is How My God wants me to do what he has plans for .
☆ 19.6.2022 it's a Sunday .
Holy Mass gets over at 10am and we are home by 10.15 am .
But this Sunday we reach home at 10.45 am due to some shopping.
Guess what ?
Jaypal is right Infront of my house , on the chogm road @ Sangolda walking towards Calangute .
Its a Sunday and I am come from Church
It's a sin to avoid me picking him up so I call the Dysp Porvorim and request for police support.
Within 15 min flat the cops are on the spot along with our Ambulance and staff and we Rescue Jaypal from the streets.
Bad, Rotten and torn leg .
Worms , maggots, etc are in his foot .
Smelly and filthy and tired and stressed.
We put him in our Ambulance, take him home and clean and bandage him up .
Today we took him to the hospital for treatment.
Many many people saw him including me in many many places and yet we including me just walked or drove away.
Attached a picture and a small video of Jaypal walling. 👇
We including myself have failed and daily fail such people .
Humanity ceases to be there for these types of homeless people.
We just tend to look the other side as if it's not out problem.
We forget to see God in human beings .
And i ask God  ” why me “.
Why can't there be more like me to start such homes for such abandoned homeless people ?
It's beyond my capacity to do what we are doing.
It's only the Grace of God which drives me daily.
It's tough, stressful, complicated, frustrating dealing with such cases where before even picking, I know that there are going to many many trips to hospitals to just treat the person.
Then the costs of fuel , medicines , rehabilitation.
The rains are in full flow and there are many such homeless sleeping and roaming in the rains as they have lost their mind .
And then there are a few who just criticize me for unwanted reasons
I wish to tell them ” pick only one such homeless per month and then talk “.
Easy to criticize and find faults very difficult to physically go out there daily non stop and do what we do.
Please support our NGO.
You get 50% deduction / rebate under section 80G of the INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.
We accept only CHEQUES / NEFT with your pan card copy .

A FREE HEARING AID DISTRIBUTION CAMP FOR PWDs

18.6.2022.  7pm IST
A  FREE HEARING AID DISTRIBUTION CAMP for PWDs was held at the Dr Gail & Mrs. Ditosa Memorial Medical Clinic @ Street Providence Goa, Sangolda, organized by Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera on 18th June, 2022, between 3 to 5 pm.
This camp is the first such project at the Medical centre and part of a  soft launch to test our capabilities and the prevailing infrastructure in organizing many more such FREE camps.
Attached a 2 mim video of the camp. 👇
Field officers, volunteering at our NGO,  identified 25 such deserving and poor PwDs across rural Goa , in need of the  Hearing Aids.
Free transport was provided to the PwDs to reach the camp location. We are glad to have partnered with Rotary Club in organizing this  camp.
On the morning of 18th June, 2022, Rotary Club of Margao , organized a  Hearing Aid Camp at Fatorda.
Field Officers of STREET PROVIDENCE  brought 9 such deserving poor PwDs  including 3 suffering from HIV .
Each one was given FREE hearing aids after being thoroughly checked by the Audiologist.
During the afternoon camp at Sangolda, our NGO brought 16 such PwDs with hearing disabilities and after a  thorough examination  FREE hearing aids were given to each of the beneficiaries including one suffering from HIV.
In North Goa  Free transport was provided to & fro from Mapusa & Panjim to all those who attended this camp at Sangolda
We had an excellent opportunity to :
☆ Be part of a camp for PwDs.
☆ Provide help to the poorest of the poor
☆ Provide FREE Transport
& provide the infrastructure for the camp.
♡♡♡ A big thanks to :
☆ Mr Rtn Mangirish Kakodkar , President of Rotary Club , Margao &
☆ Mrs Rtn Sandra Fernandes   , President of Rotary Club of Panaji , Riviera.
for giving our NGO an  opportunity to be a part of this camp by entrusting us to locate and bring all all the beneficiaries, which we did to the best of our team ability .
Aldo thanks to Dr Lenny Da Costa for being the link and motivating me .
We are ready in the future to assist any such clubs/Organizations who are in need of :
Identifying beneficiaries ,
Venues for  both North Goa & South Goa
Transportation for the PWDs to the  camp venues
All infrastructure and facilities owned/ managed by our NGO viz. the Venue, transportation, man power etc will always be used to rhe fullest for the poor , homeless & PwDs.
Our philosophy is ” use rhe infrastructure to the fullest for the poorest of the poor “.
♡♡♡ A special thanks to our staff :
☆ Mr Sapnesh
☆ Mr Prabhakar
☆ Mr Akshay
☆ Ms Amesha
☆ MsTriveni and
☆ Mr Mahesh from ZINDAGI Ngo Vasco and
☆ Mr Gaurish from the Department.
And John Baptist from Margao our volunteer,
who worked behind the scenes to ensure that both camps were successful in assisting needy beneficiaries.
During the monsoons it is rather difficult to get PwDs  from remote places like  Quepem, Vasco , Salcette , Bicholim, Pernem to attend such camps.
I am elated to state that both camps in North and South Goa were a success.
God Bless each and everyone who helped make this happen!
God bless you

Dr GAIL & Mrs DITOSA MEMORIAL MEDICAL CLINIC” IS A FREE MEDICAL SERVICE BEING STARTED

17.6.2022  7pm IST
Dr GAIL & MRS. DITOSA MEMORIAL MEDICAL CLINIC”  is a Free Medical Service being started for the homeless & for poor Persons with Disabilities
( PWDs ) including our shelter home inmates by STREET PROVIDENCE GOA.
I have renovated approx 150 Sq mtrs of my home at Sangolda ( of the 400 Sq mts) for this FREE Clinic with the huge generous donation done by one elderly goan man in memory of his wife towards the renovation.
Attached a 2 min video of the Clinic. 👇
I really have been blessed by my brother & my late sister in law with this big house and I always wanted to give back to the poor .
Usually when you are in Prime area ie on the Chogm Road, good front view, open parking area, no disturbance on 2 sides , one would usually build commercial and give on rent.
I received freely , so I am giving away freely.
Prime location for a Free Clinic in today's time.
The Clinic is TOTALLY FREE for the poor and PWDs, who we alone in our NGO have approx 90 such men & women as of date of the current 120.
For those poorest of the poor PWDs, we are even providing free transport up and down.
We will be also focusing on the senior citizens and those staying alone who require help to go to a clinic very soon.
With free transport for those senior citizens who can't afford.
We will get also conducting numerous medical camps and medical drives in this Clinic.
And this is the 1st Clinic.
Two more to follow : Cavelossim & Quepem.
We require donations / funding to buy the equipments for this Clinic.
Equipments List attached for the Physiotherapy clinic only .
You can pick and choose the equipment to donate and we will have a sign board in the clinic asking these people who are benefitting from THE FREE CLINIC to say a short prayer for their loved ones.
We are open to even receiving second hand equipment provided it's in working and running condition.
Incase any hospital , Clinic,  health centres etc are upgrading their equipment, please do give us the equipment for our Clinic.
With a capacity to go upto 200 homeless & PWds ,  may be even 300 by this year end, the top most priority we have is to have a full fledged Physiotherapy & Orthopedic center.
We are starting with the Physiotherapy center 1st at Sangolda .
Once this settles we will start the orthopedic centre.
I have seen last few years of rehabilitation in my homes how much medicine the inmates are prescribed , especially those in severe bouts of alcohol and Sub stance abuse.
Their whole body just pulls them down due to breakdown of the cells and the veins. resulting in pain in their hands and legs and they just refuse to stand and walk .
With professional physiotherapist, we can reduce their pain and bring the best out of them so that, once treated they can help others to get off the streets and this way the cycle goes on .
Lots of trouble and effort to rehabilitate 200 to 300 homeless , poor and abandoned PWDs.
You can also visit the infrastructure at Sangolda to see for yourself, strictly with an appointment through whstsapp only on 8380097564 provided it's not just to waste my time, which I have non .
We are also looking for young Doctors incase any one wishes to work / volunteer with the poor, homeless , sick & Pwds as we have all types of sick people in our Shelter homes  excluding leprosy.
It will be a great experience for young doctors to handle so many cases under one Clinic.
Please support our NGO.
You get 50% deduction / rebate under section 80G of the INCOME TAX act, once you donate to our NGO.
We accept only CHEQUES / NEFT with your pan card copy .

THIS POST IS ABOUT AN ASSAMESE LADY FATIMA AS SHE CALLS HERSELF PICKED UP ON 26.9.2018 FROM THE VICINITY OF CHINCHINIM CHURCH

15.6.2022. 5pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA has been  looking after homeless street abandoned women for close to 5 years and this post is about an Assamese lady Fatima as she calls herself
Picked up on 26.9.2018 from the vicinity of CHINCHINIM church due to the effort of then Sarpanch of Sazora Mrs Sabita.
Attached the original post of 2018.  Pls go thru the below link 👇
Speaks only Assamese and initially was very difficult to handle.
Trying to locate her family last 4 years .
Thanks to our FMCK nuns who have collaborated with our NGO to look after as caregivers these abandoned homeless street women in the last 4 years , ladies like Fatima are totally transformed and changed.
Last few months total transformation in Fatima life.
Fatima is totally now civilized.
Eats , sleeps,  sits on a chair,  uses the washroom, not abusive and aggressive anymore, grown old and yet learnt to draw and use a pen and paper.
It's never an easy task dealing with people who refuse to wear clothes,  refuse to have bath , refuse to stay in a home .
That's the CHERRY ON THE CAKE .
A women who once was totally deranged and naked today has surprised me by learning to draw and color.
Attached a small video of her, how she is drawing and coloring and how she was on the streets before we rehabilitated her
To me Fatima was a pain in my neck .
But at times I go through such frustrations as I too get tired of the same complaints .
But any frustration is human tendency .
My emotions plays on me .
I then have to think with my mind and not with my heart .
Such people no one will FREELY look after and I just can't throw them out .
I have to go back to my inner voice and hear what God is telling me.
I have to see GOD in these people who have no one and nothing in this world .
Then comes by Faith .
We never ever put any ladies in our homes back on the streets even if they were unmanageable.
FMCK nuns in rhe last 5 years have gone beyond their call of duty towards these homeless street women .
Fatima has been a terrible trouble to the care givers due to her rejection by her family is what I understand in the initial three years.
No one will ever know what and how she suffered on the streets and where is she from as she speaks Assamese which we can't follow .
I have heard enough of complaints initially about Fatima.
Numerous trips to hospitals , medication and we even operated her both eyes for CATARACT,  thanks to Rotary Club of Mapuca for both the free operations .
Even though I have not met or seen Fatima in the last 8 months, I am aware she has improved alot as good reports are sent about her by the staff and caregivers.
I feel really bad that there are many many such abandoned, lonely , deranged women in Goa either just walking and walking whole day on the streets or just sitting at bus stops, parks, public places and I can't do much .
It's really heart breaking but our two ladies homes are full .
We as a society fail them at times .
We have and celebrate many days like women day , mothers day, etc but how many of us actually go one step ahead and try I am saying try to help such women who actually have nobody and get them to a shelter home and a decent life .
Such events should be celebrated for these women, who have no one,  so that they can come out of their misery., pain and agony .
All just pass the buck and that's it .
We @ our NGO are trying our level best to reach out to such abandoned, forgotten and neglected women.
As of today there are about 20+ such ladies just loitering here and there aimlessly and they require help to get off those streets, highways as the monsoon is on.

STREET RESCUE BY STREET PROVIDENCE, GOA IS A SERVICE WITH A NEW WHATSAPP NUMBER

12.6.2022.  6pm IST
STREET RESCUE BY STREET PROVIDENCE, GOA is a  service with a new whatsapp number to reach out to those on the streets and get them off the streets and into a rehabilitation home .
At the moment we are focusing on North Goa as the Following SDPOs @ Goa Police have assured support to get as many as possible of the streets .
♡♡♡ Thanks to the following Dysp @ Goa Police
☆ 1. Mr. Jivba Dalvi @ Mapusa SDPO
☆ 2. Mr. Vishwesh Karpe @ Porvorim SDPO
☆ 3. Mr .Sudesh Naik @ Panjim SDPO
I personally met all the above 3 Dysps and they have assured all support possible in getting help to the homeless by deputing an officer of the level of Police Sub Inspector to take care of the paper work as without the police it's not possible to get anyone of the streets.
If there are any genuine homeless people with priority to those suffering from mental disabilities and roaming or staying on the streets, we will be glad to help them get help .
All you need to do is send us the picture of the homeless and video of the locality to the number  in the poster and kindly wait at the spot for a few minutes till a team arrives to verify .
Only between 9 am to 5 pm . Sunday holiday
Please don't put pressure as we expect many such whatsapp requests initially and we may not be able to reach all in one day .
A Pro Active Dysp or Police Inspector is very important in the homeless getting off the streets.
Unfortunately I am seeing last 2 years , the homeless are increasing in Goa and its getting out of hand.
We can't manage alone.
Meeting and meeting with various Government officials are just leading us to no where .
At times we are fighting this battle alone and its frustrating and I too give up for a few days.
Chief Minister of Goa should kindly support us in the rehabilitation of the homeless by putting some sort of nodal officer for us to network with and solve these issues with homeless on streets.
Now the rainy season is starting . Many will be wet on the streets.
Majority of these homeless are desperate to start life again but there are not many hands to hold on too.
We require your help as :
☆ 1. A volunteer in the respective cities of Goa to follow up between the homeless person & our back office team .
☆ 2. A volunteer to visit the police station on our behalf and get the paperwork organized.
☆ 3. A volunteer if you can drive our car to pick such people in your city on fixed days of the week.
☆ 4. A volunteer to spot such homeless in your city and network with our back office and the local police station.
☆ 5. A volunteer to drive such homeless people to the Hospitals from our homes once cleaned for their health check-up .
To address the homeless issue in Goa , especially women, we are starting two more women homes.
■ North Goa 1 home for 10 women
■ South Goa 1 home for 20 women.
Both should be operational by 1st week of July.
We can currently take in another 50 men in our men's home.
We thank all our benefactors, volunteers and well wishers who have stood by us in the last 5 years.
