WE ARE READY TO RESCUE, ACCEPT AND TAKE IN ANY AMOUNT OF HOMELESS PEOPLE IN GOA BETWEEN 15th – 23rd DECEMBER AS ITS THE CHRISTMAS SEASON.

15.12.22. 7Pm IST
It the festive season of Christmas and it's in this mood of fun & frolic,  let's also think , remember and help the homeless In Goa who are living on streets, bus stops , gardens, outside hospitals,  subways etc .
We are ready to rescue, accept and take in any amount of homeless people In Goa between 15th – 23rd Dec as its the Christmas season.
A festival for me is not complete when there is  suffering and sick people on the streets including the old, persons with disabilities, and the improvised .
A warm bed , clean environment, two meals, medication is what will bring that joy and smile to the homeless because you decided to help a genuine homeless during this festive season of Christmas.
Most of us Catholics will be preparing for Christmas in many many ways but I and my team are preparing to take in more homeless inspite of already being full in most of the men's homes.
All you need to do is this :
◇ 1. Spot / locate / find a genuine homeless
◇ 2. Whatsapp the picture with the location on 8380097564
◇ 3. Contact your nearest police station and see that the police attempt to help the homeless by bringing the homeless to our NGO .
◇ 4. If police don't show any interest let me know on the spot through whatsapp on 8380097564.
Let's attempt to spread the feeling of Christmas to the homeless by getting them to a shelter home.
It's going to be tiring & difficult for us during these few days with over 160 homeless people in our 8 homes taking in more homeless but it's CHRISTMAS SEASON.
We require you to support our NGO by helping those on the streets reach a shelter home in getting a better life to start afresh.
During this festive season you can also support us in any way you can as we go about rescuing , caring and rehabilitating the homeless and the old who are abandoned with no one .
We require your help in any form.
Please keep all communication through whatsapp only on 8380097564.
We offer you income tax exemption on your donations under Section 80G of the INCOME TAX act .

AS GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY IN GOA ONLY, OUR NGO STREET PROVIDENCE HAS STARTED TO CLEAN THE BLACK SPOTS IN GOA

13.12.22. 7pm IST
As giving back to Society in Goa only, our NGO Street Providence has started to clean the BLACK SPOTS In Goa .
Yesterday & today , our friends in the men's home at ASSNORA,  collected, packed and filled in plastic bags close to 1800 to 2000 kgs of garbage in close to 60+ such bags at one of the worst and ever increasing BLACK SPOT I have ever seen .
This you tube link will show you the video with the magnitude of garbage dumped and how our homeless friends have cleant it in 2 days. 👇
Just on the border of SIRSAIM -ASSNORA
( Bardez ) is a way which goes up to St Michael Chapel , Assnora .
Since it's a no man land hundreds & hundreds of kgs of garbage has been dumped, thrown in this particular area measuring say 500 meters in length.
We have been using this road last 4 years daily as our men's shelter home is on that hill and it's such an eye sore to see the mess just piling up year after year.
Most of the times , all this garbage is just set on fire and then new garbage is dumped again.
For quite some time I have been intending to put the shelter Home men to work and what better way then to clean BLACK SPOTS.
Last 2 days,  8 hours a day & 6 men togther cleant and kept ready approx 60+ garbage bags filled to the brim which will approximately be about 2000 kgs.
Our NGO launched this service at one of the biggest and terrible dirty BLACK SPOT so as to test the capacity of our team.
Where ever there is a BLACK SPOT in the 3 kms vicinity of all our 8 shelter homes in Goa, we will clean the same and keep the bags filled up ready to be sent to the plant by the local Village Panchayat or Municipality or even LOCAL MLA.
Our shelter Homes are at
☆ Cavelossim (2)
☆ Quepem
☆ Assnora
☆ Guirim ( 2 )
☆ Calangute
☆ Porvorim
We don't just shout and blame the authorities but we enter the system and be the change what society wishes to see .
Most of our projects are complicated and has not many or any others doing this service free of cost consistently ie :
◇ 1. We are only NGO in entire GOA who rescues, accepts & rehabilitates from streets  hospitals , police stations homeless and people with disabilities. Not an easy service.
◇ 2.We are the only NGO running GOA's only registered Food Banks across the state accepting food & feeding the homeless and monthly saving 10 to 12 tomnes of Wet waste reaching the garbage bins.
◇ 3. Running THREE FREE PHYSIOTHERAPY CENTREs in Goa for the homeless & persons with disabilities
◇ 4. And now the only SHELTER HOME attempting to clean BLACK SPOTS & reduce the garbage issue in Goa .
If anyone requires our services to clean BLACK SPOTS priorty in NORTH GOA,  please let us know and one will need to pay us some amount as there is transportation of the homeless men to & fro, garbage bags , refreshments , etc.
In addition we need to give the boys something to be motivated about .
Getting these friends of mine to do this service also helps them to use their mind and body and it will help to be active and appreciated in their life as they are rejected both by their families & society.
Once again we need to be concerned about our environment and dump garbage in garbage bins or in designated garbage zones.
All comments, advice, Criticism , correction and ideas are welcome on this BLACK SPOT project.
Please keep all communication through whatsapp only on 8380097564
We have our homeless teams ready in QUEPEM & CAVELOSSIM to clean BLACK SPOTS.
God bless you all

RESCUES & REHABILITATES AN ELDERLY GOAN LADY FROM BHATI PANCHAYAT, SANGUEM CONSTITUENCY.

12.12.22. 7PM IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA rescues & rehabilitates an elderly Goan lady from BHATI Panchayat,  Sanguem Constituency.
Video of 45 sec  will speak for itself 👇
Mrs Kamal Kalekar is a widow with no children and all old and lonely with weakness that she can't stand as well as got a problem with leg / ankle .
She might have been crawling in her house to move around as we had to pick her up and put her in the car .
Akash Pednekar our incharge of Our QUEPEM home received a call from the local MLA & Social Welfare Minister , Mr Subhash Phal Dessai to help and rehab this lady.
When a minister calls an NGO means he is aware of the ground reality and the MINISTER is concerned about the poorest of the poor in his constituency.
Sanguem Police did their verification and we too sent our team to verify.
The lady has relatives but they have not met her for a long long time and husband is dead .
House is almost crumbling down and is in a dilapidated state .
Neighbors have been providing her food but she requires much more than that.
Last night our team along with the police personnel from SANGUEM Police station got her to our home at Cavelossim.
♡♡♡ Thanks to our care givers at Cavelossim ladies Home especially Sr Maria for accepting the lady although it was late evening.
Mrs Kamal can't walk at all neither can stand .
It's going to be trips to hospitals and medications followed with nutrition till she Gets her strength back.
It's Christmas season and it's always special to experience the Birth of Christ through instances like this .
We need to open our doors to the old sick and abandoned and that's the message of CHRISTMAS.
Today at Sunday Holy Mass , Fr Jose gave the same sermon about helping the poorest of the poor .
We @ Street Providence are attempting to take in as many as possible during the next few days before we celebrate CHRISTMAS even though we are overloaded and space is a constraint.
Its not right that the poor, old , elderly, widows, the  homeless with disabilites who are in pain and require shelter and care are suffering and we just look the other side because the homes are full .
God will make a way to solve this problem.
At the moment we are tying to live that spirit of Christmas by reaching out to the old , sick, widows,  abandoned,  homeless people with disabilities who need a warm bed and love & care in a home .
When we take into our shelter homes such people  we also take a recommendation letter from the Local MLA & The Local Sarpanch so that the locals are aware of that where their fellow villagers are cared for .
Attached a video of how we had to get
Mrs Kamal into our home and her prevailing situation.
You can imagine her physical state and what trouble we will be going thru seeing her current situation.
But then as A Roman Catholic,  I need to  follow Christ who came for the poor , old. Abandoned,  sick, Widow, the homeless.
I can't call myself a follower of Christ especially during this festive season if I don't open our homes to such people like Mrs KAMAL
Attached a 46 sec video in konkani which will tell you all that you wish to see and understand.
Your support in prayers, blessings and wishes is what at times motivates me to do what I am attempting to do in my little free time .
All communications through whatsapp only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

ANOTHER GOAN MAN , HOMELESS AND ABANDONED ON THE STREETS OF MAPUSA .

10.12.2022. 7pm IST
Another Goan man , homeless and abandoned on the streets of Mapusa .
This is Nicholas Fernandes from Moira who according to my sources has been living at Mapusa Bus Stand last 10 years .
Aged 67 to 70 years and living last 10 years in the dust , dirt , heat , unhygienic condition has destroyed his health.
Exactly 15 days back we were requested by Mapusa Police Station to rehab Nicholas which we obliged.
Nicholas has been in District Hospital Mapusa for quite some time before we took him into our home.
Has got major internal problems which required him to be admitted into District Hospital by 108 as it can be he was lying on the streets of mapusa .
Since he was being discharged he needed a place to recover and was guided to the Mapusa Police Station who were kind enough to send him to our home .
But with a few days his health started troubling him and we readmitted him into the District Hospital Mapusa where currently he is being treated.
Certain homeless people come with so much of serious health issues coupled with stress and insecurity that it takes a long time to settle down in a shelter home as all their life they have been living on streets and dark areas that something like a shelter home is difficult to digest .
There are many many such homeless men in Goa living a dark and life of misery all in bondage.
We are all tied up in our own bubble that we don't have the time , energy & motivation to stop and see whether any homeless requires a hand to start life again.
And that implies to me also.
At times i too loose that motivation as the main issue is the medical bills and the expenses.
90% of homeless people who we admitt into our shelter home require serious medical help and continous trips to hospitals , follow up, Various tests and continuous assessments.
Taking care of 160 such homeless people as of today is not an easy and feasible service especially when 95% of our friends are homeless & penniless .
As of today close to 12 such friends from our homes are admitted in both district hospitals & GMC for treatment.
We need your help daily to help others on the streets to start life again..
We need volunteers and fellow citizens to spot such genuine elderly homeless Goan people and either get them to a hospital for treatment or to any shelter home.
If we can rehab we will else I am not sure where they can be admitted.
It's getting chill here In Goa and its the Christmas season .
Mos of us reading this post will be sleeping in our warm beds all tucked up .
We need to think and share our thoughts with such homeless people living on the streets as they are abandoned for either their fault or just abandoned because of no family who can care for them especially if they are old & senior citizens.
Please support us in whatever you can as we attempt to end Hunger & Homelessness in Goa.
God bless you so much

ALARMING RATE OF INCREASE OF ABANDONED GOAN MEN / HUSBANDS / FATHERS / BROTHERS ON THE STREETS OF GOA BY FAMILY MEMBERS.

9.12.22  7pm IST
Alarming rate of increase of abandoned Goan men / husbands / fathers / brothers on the streets of Goa by family members.
Today we highlight one such elderly Goan man found living in a broken down balcony in TALEIGAO , Mr Rosario.
Rosario might be 75+ years old and over a month may be was spotted by A PUBLIC PROSECUTOR by the name of Mrs Clarita Simoes in GMC admitted by 108 and she felt sorry for him .
Requested me to rehabilitate him which I agreed and Rosario himself came to stay with us .
But ROSARIO is too weak and carries along with him to many health issues making it difficult for us to manage him in our shelter Home.
High pressure, Diabetics , stress etc .
I belive he has a wife and three adult children who either have thrown him out or might be he has walked out of them many years ago .
According to what I picked up, he has been away from the family for over 30 years +.
Not sure if it's the guilt which is eating him up or the rejection from his family but he is very upset with life and that complicates his mental & physical state of mind.
Incase anyone recognises him or knows his family please let me know or let the family know.
He is too weak and exhausted in life and might not make it further.
At the moment he is in hospital taking treatment.
We just can't afford his treatment privately and that's another issue.
Atlesst he should get a chance either to forgive his family or his family should forgive him .
Today many such families are throwing their family members out and these people are either living on the streets or dumped in hospitals.
Many many of them are there similar to ROSARIO & there is just no shelter for them .
No one cares and no one is bothered.
Plenty of homes which can actually take in a few of them but due to so many reasons are not entertained and turned away .
Small NGO like ours. already with 160 such homeless people are forced to take in more .
The infrastructure in all our SHELTER HOMES are being stretched to a limit and we too can't manage taking in more people.
Goa is witnessing alot of women , children,  families roaming and living on the streets add to this our own goan ladies & gents homeless.
Its time the local panch members, local religious leaders , social workers get togther village wise and see how and why people like ROZARIO are homeless and abandoned.
Believe me we will reach a level very soon that major cities will be facing a crisis just like there is a crisis of migrants children and ladies living in all the major cities of Goa .
We are currently Sheltering about 15 such goan abandoned men having families but no one ready to take them back.
Everything is changing in life and the change is more because of commercialization and monetization.
The poor, Elderly , sick , etc are not welcome in their our homes any more.
Little do they know that one day , they too will grow old and surely meet the same fate.
I am not sure how and who is going to address the genuine goan homeless people living on the streets of Goa and abandoned in hospitals and bus stops but we can go on only for a limit taking in such cases.
160 homeless people currently being sheltered is not an easy task at the moment as the expenses are mounting and needs to be addressed daily .
We need your prayers , wishes,  blessings & support as we carry on our mission of ending hunger & Homelessness in Goa.
God bless you all

TWO ELDERLY NUNS, AGED 79 & 75 YEARS , OPENS THEIR HEARTS & HANDS & HELP IN STABILIZING AND BRINGING BACK TO NORMALCY A WOMAN

8.12.22. 7pm.IST
Two elderly nuns, aged 79 & 75 years , OPENS THEIR HEARTS & HANDS &  help in stabilizing and bringing back to normalcy  a woman who was one of the most complicated, highly destructive and totally high degree of mental disabilities that I have ever rehabilitated in the last 5 years ” BLESSED ”
On 1.9.2022 we had uploaded about this Goan girl who we had named BLESSED .
Link attached. Read that post 1st .
Today after 3 months , BLESSED is a totally New Creation within control and is a big blessings in our shelter home without any signs of insanity, no aggression like before nor any suicidal thoughts.
Absolutely no complaints and in the last 3 months we did not feel the need to admitt her into the IPHB @ Bambolim. All her troubles are things of the past .
So how this change?
How this goan girl once upon a time was a pain in the neck to her family and to any shelter home including ours , to an extent the only solution was admission for months into IPHB has improved?
Well these are the people who play a very active role behind the scene daily during the last 3 months and will play their role in the future with BLESSED.
1. The Two old nuns who are the care givers of Street Providence Home, who inspite of being retired Look after BLESSED & another 9 such ladies with patience, & kindness .
These two nuns provide that MOTHERLY love which BLESSED might had not got from her own mother from childhood .I don't know.
The nuns took BLESSED as a challenge into the shelter home when all my other women shelter homes caregivers gave up and refused to understand BLESSED.
2. A Capucian priest who daily visited BLESSED during the month of September and just sat and listened to her and counseled her spiritually as BLESSED is a ROMAN CATHOLIC by religion.
3. My good friends from Bro Johnson team ie
Prakash, Sujata , Alka & Sharon who have been visiting this home last 90 days daily for 2 to 3 hours and just sitting and spiritually building BLESSED up.
4. Our operation Manager Sapnesh Salgaonkar who comes with tonnes of patience and who knows how to handle such cases.
5. All our office staff who regularly visit BLESSED and who every 15days is taken for an assessment.
It's ALL TEAM WORK which all these players play together in their own assigned time.
Today even BLESSED own family and relatives can't believe that BLESSED has improved so much.
♡♡♡ WE DARE TO DREAM ♡♡♡
Never in my wild imagination did I ever ever feel that BLESSED would stay quite cool and calm like a normal Person in our home.
Usually such cases are admitted into IPHB.
Prior to 1st September 2022, we must have admitted BLESSED many many times even upto 45 days at a strecth into IPHB then discharged her for 7 days then again admitted another 45 days as we just could not handle.
BLESSED has gone in the last 20 years through the most difficult, humiliating,  insulting,  cruel experience which no female should ever go through.
All of us @ STREET PROVIDENCE are proud to have had a wonderful experience is seeing two types of BLESSED .

Before & After
Today BLESSED does alot of handicraft work in the Home , plus mops the floor and washrooms.
Attached 2 pictures of the flowers made by BLESSED.
BLESSED sings , reads,  writes , lives a much better life and one day i am sure she will rise up and be a FULL TIME CARE GIVER in our NGO helping other such ladies come out of their bondage .
We have been successful in looking after and caring for such CHRONIC, HOPELESS, COMPLICATED & DESTRUCTIVE ladies suffering from mental disabilities.
The key to such deranged woman recovering is :
☆ Care givers with commitment ,
☆ Supervised & timely medication
☆ Prayers & counseling
☆ Nutritious food ,
☆ Timely assessment at IPHB
☆ Outings and trips to different places in nature.
BLESSED family has been kind enough to reimburse our NGO all our expenses towards her REHABILITATION as they wish to give the best to her .
If you know any such ladies IN GOA suffering from such mentak disabilities and having no one to care for them then please let me know through WHATSAPP only on 8380097564.
We can help in rehabilitation after we study each and every individual request.

TODAY WE EXPLAIN HOW ABANDONED LADIES IN OUR WOMEN SHELTER HOME SPEND THEIR ENTIRE DAY .

7.12.22. 7pm IST
Today we explain how abandoned ladies In our women shelter home spend their entire day .
A small video attached. 👇
1st of all to be a lady who is :
☆ abandoned,
☆ widowed & childless ,
☆ rejected by own family,
☆ divorced & thrown out on the roads,
☆ thrown out by your own child,
☆ an unwed mother ,
☆?suffering from HIV & TB ,
☆ Old and unmarried with no family share
Then you are in a situation.
Now Club this situation with disabilities, specially if its mental disabilities like :
☆ Schizophrenia ,
☆ Bi polar ,
☆ Hypertension,
☆ Hallucination,
☆ Depression & anxiety ,
☆ Mood swings
☆ Phobias
Add both or if there is a lady ( which many are ) who suffer from all the above then rehabilitation is very challenging and difficult and its more stressful / challenging when the services are absolutely FREE.
We have 4 ladies Homes & 46 such ladies
3 homes in the north & 1 in the south.
Morning all arise at 7 am,
Fresh up and then breakfast
Small light exercises
House cleaning and mopping .
Then Physiotherapy sessions on alternate days & daily Hospital trips in the morning especially to IPHB for assessment , follow up and monthly medications.
We have Counseling and vocational training sessions in the 3 north homes which is quite effective.
Afternoon lunch and siesta time due to medication.
Evening tea followed by indoor games as well as exercises and outdoor walks in the vicinity of each home.
Bath at 6 pm , followed by early dinner but light dinner and all lights off by 8 pm.
Caring for these 46 women is more difficult then caring for 100 men .
On the bright side, in all our ladies homes,  alot of craft and handwork with cloth is taught and is carried our by the ladies.
They enjoy using their hands in making flowers and handicrafts.
We don't have any outside cooks or maids but in all our homes the kitchen is taken care by the ladies who are under rehabilitation supervised by the care giver.
Some ladies do gardening and they like to touch the mud .
Outing to the beach is the most looked forward activity in the ladies Homes .
We have dance , music, games. Etc which bring out the talents of these ladies especially those who are below 60 years .
But I will be fair ”  OUR LADIES HOMES ARE CLEANER & SYSTEMATIC as compared to the men's home”.
You know why ?
Because ladies are more involved with house work as compared to men .It's their inbuilt instinct. Our washrooms and bathrooms are spotless and clean.
We have in our ladies Homes professionals like  :
♡ counselors
♡ MSW
♡ Occupational therapist
♡ Physiotherapist
♡ Expert care givers
♡ Nurses
Who take good care of each and every lady in the ladies shelter homes.
For the first 3 years of our existence,  I had only one shelter home and I was a failure in running this shelter Home because it just was not happening the way I wanted it .
And everytime I asked GOD why am I not tasting success.
Why can't I open more homes for ladies?
I got the answers in these 3 years which I can't write here but I realized the success is in getting the right care giver who understands ladies suffering from disabilities and who has the passion which I have and not keeping OFFENCE & ANGER.
And in the last 21 months, we started another 3 shelter Homes ad God has sent the right care givers who share my dream and my passion.
Most of these ladies will be permanently rehabilitated with OUR NGO and i really feel for them but I just can't get emotional.
My satisfaction is that inspite of being a man with little patience, short tempered , yet I Have the passion to plan, implement, co ordinate and put a team together in these 4  ladies shelter homes.
There are many many patient and better people who run old aged Homes for old people but don't have that passion to work, care and look after homeless women with mental disabilities.
I thank God for the Calling, The Grace & the motivation daily to do the best I can when I get up everyday.
Takes alot of guts and energy dealing with :
My wife & children
My job
My Trustees
My staff
Various Government officials
The friends in all the 8 shelter homes &
My health
And i thank all the benefactors who stand with me daily, reading my long posts and blessings me with donations, prayers and wishes.
God bless you all

WHAT IS A DAILY LIFE OF A HOMELESS MAN IN OUR SHELTER HOME

6.12.22. 7 pm IST
What is a daily life of a homeless man in our shelter home where most of our friends are suffering from mental disabilities, be like?
Most of the day is full of little joys which will bring a smile on your face once you watch the video. 👇
☆ Morning all awaken by 6.30 am
☆ Clean up and freshen up & bath.
☆ Followed by breakfast
☆ Once the sun is bright say by 8.30 am SUN BATH
Exercise, yoga, brisk walking and simple exercise
Physiotherapy sessions and hospital trips for those suffering from sickness.
House cleaning and washroom cleaning along with mopping and washing the homes daily is encouraged to all my friends in the homes.
Some are taught and encouraged to draw , write and even to read alphabets and numbers.
A couple of the younger men are taught to play cricket and soccer which I am sure they have never ever held a bat or kicked a ball for many many years.
Sounds strange but we treat our friends to face the world by learning.
☆ Lunch time by 1 pm followed by light nap.
☆ Tea at 4 pm followed by out door games by those who can and indoor games by the old and those suffering from physical disabilities.
☆ Later by 6pm bath and Television
☆ 7 pm dinner
☆ 8 pm all gone to sleep.
All our staff in all the men's shelter Home are in house employees .
The Cooks, care givers,  watchman , compounder , house incharge were one day all homeless and on the streets but over  a due course of time , have recovered and today stay back to take care of the others .
Only a homeless understands a homeless especially :
▪︎If wounds have to be dressed daily
▪︎If Elderly men have to changed if on Pampers,
▪︎If elderly men have to be bathed & shaved,
▪︎ If anyone has to be fed their meals.
Etc .
You and I will never able to go through this .
Hiring outside manpower is too expensive & our team can't reach out daily to over 100+ such men  in all our 4 mens home & we are soon going to be rehabilitating upto 140 men .
We are now fortunate to have employed :
☆ 4 Physiotherapist to treat our friends & 1 Clinical Psychologist
to work and help our homeless men get back on track and be able to be a blessings to others .
Some of them in the men shelter home daily take care of the food bank and food collection.
Some are daily in hospitals assisting the others get their medication and on their monthly check ups.
Everyone of our men in the men's home are given some responsibility to enable them to think, understand, take decisions , be responsible.
Majority of these friends of mine are on mild to heavy doses of medicines for their mental disabilities but that does not stop them from taking responsibilities in the men's shelter home.
Two of our men's home at Cavelossim & Quepem having a current strength of 60 men & the men are really recovering much more than expected.
Porvorim home has all the hardworking men where most of the operations are controlled from
Assnora home with a current capacity of 36 men  is the most complicated and difficult place to manage as all the hyper,  chronic and nerve wrecking friends of ours are rehabilitated here.
It's just the thought of attempting to reintegrate these Once homeless men with severe mental disabilities which bring a smile on my face and motivation to go ahead and DREAM BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS.
We don't believe in PITY but every friend has to take up his responsibility and face the WORLD.
♡♡♡ Big thanks to our long time benefactors who 90% have never ever met me but are inspired to support our NGO just by reading our posts and following our work which is continously uploaded daily on various social media platforms with pictures and videos.
Running a complicated NGO like ours is not easy but even difficult is paying the bills daily.
God bless you all
