FOR OVER 5 YEARS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY FEEDING POOR PEOPLE THROUGH VARIOUS SYSTEMS AND METHODS

10.11.22. 7pm IST
WE @ FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR, SANGOLDA, GOA for over 5 years have been consistently feeding Poor people through various systems and methods.
This is how we do it .
We run 5 systems :
☆ 1. We daily collect extra cooked food from various factories amounting to 150 to 300 kgs for our 8 shelter homes and rest for the poor .
☆ 2. We have installed 15 fridges in Police stations and public places fetching us 100 kgs daily events at times going upto 200kgs .
☆ 3. We purchase daily dry food items like Bread , paratha , fruits & eggs and feed on streets & public places including villages. Varies daily between 200 to 400 such meals
☆ 4. We have installed fridges as FOOD SPOTS in certain villages where we drop extra cooked food and these volunteers in turn feed the poor local people in that area – we have 5 such spots.
☆ 5. We also distribute dry ration kits in rural areas of Goa on a monthly basis
But still there are huge no of poor families in need of food and the best way to reach them is through the FSSAI INNITIAVE- ” Save Food , Feed Food “.
We have 6 teams across Goa ready to feed close to 2000 poor people daily extra cooked food In rural villages .
We can increase and will be increasing the teams by another 20 and as such we intend to reach 15000 people daily with the extra cooked food of close to 5000 kgs .
But WILL THE FSSAI BAMBOLIM get their act together and get this extra food to the poor and hungry in rural Goa ?
We have the :
☆ Experience in running food banks,
☆ Poor People who require this food in rural goa,
☆ Logistics to move 5000 kgs daily ,
☆ Manpower to move 5000 kgs daily ,
☆ A professional set up and kitchens across Goa,
☆ Commitment to feed the poor.
But we are lacking the resources to collect daily 5000kgs of extra cooked food which is daily dumped in the bins.
But FSSAI BAMBOLIM is not showing any interest besides press conferences and press release and self proclamation that we are going to feed the poor through the registered agencies which are just 2 as we have resigned.
On 14.10.22 , we took a two hours silent strike with 10 homeless men at AZAD MAIDAN Panjim.
On 15.11.22 , we will be taking another silent protest,  this time with 25 homeless street men.
It's High time , FOOD WASTAGE is reduced and FSSAI BAMBOLIM is suppose to stop this food wastage ASAP.
Please do save food and let's all work together to feed the hungry in Goa .
God bless you all

MOTHER & ADULT CHILD BOTH LIVING ON A STREET IN A PUBLIC PLACE.

8.11.2022. 7pm IST
A few days back I received a request to rescue & rehabilitate two family members, Mother & adult child from the streets .
I could not say YES nor could I say NO at that time when the request came.
This is a very difficult and yet practical case in Goa.
☆ Mother & adult child both living on a street in a public place.
☆ A street light lights up that place.
☆ Their Home is completely broken down.
☆ Father left them many years back.
☆ Child is studying in high school, final class.
☆ Mother can be a bit insane & HIGHLY INFECTED.
☆ To many men taken advantage of her.
What would you do if you were in my place ?
Say yes or give excuses and say no?
Social workers called many homes but everyone has a VALID EXCUSE not to help .
Absolutely no family members existing on any side.
Poverty and exploitation at its height.
In such a tight and closed case of poverty, the child wishes to study and proceed ahead in life.
We are accepting both of them into our homes.
But the school & the homes are 25 kms apart.
There is no bus service between these two places.
Child can't change the school.
Road blocks at all steps.
Neither would I like the Child to be separated from the mother as the child is an adult and mother may be in her final stages of life .
Mother will require to be :
▪︎Counseled,
▪︎Medication will be needed to be administered in time as she is highly infected,
▪︎Psychiatric treatment to cool her down a must,
▪︎Nutrition to be taken care ,
▪︎Stabilized as she has a habit of just walking around,
▪︎And who knows what other ailments and sickness she has, been on the streets abandoned.
Adult child priorty :
Complete the final year of High School,
Motivation to travel daily 25 kms one way ,
Has to use a pilot to go up and down ” costs involved are huge “.
Education till the child final exams in March 23.
Counseling & Motivation
Tuitions to get a grip on what the child missed .
This family has been like months if not over a year in that dirty public place and yet no one in the locality got up from their slumber to help.
I too wanted to walk away from helping them ?
But walk away to where?
It's going to be difficult but that's why our NGO was requested to help as all options and doors did not open .
We accepted the request but its a daunting task at hand as we are already loaded with 150+ homeless men & women in our 8 shelter homes.
I don't have much to say but it's sad and bad that this young adult child and mother have to go through a torture for no fault of theirs.
Homeless
Penniless
Sickness
Abandoned
Rejected
Unsure future
No food and security
All clouds and dark storms.
Look around in your locality if you know such families living a sucked up life.
See if you can help them in any way you can.
We can help if the need arises.
Our doors are always open even if all other doors are closed or if no one wants to open their doors .
WE @ STREET PROVIDENCE , DARE TO DREAM when others are even afraid of the DREAM .
Your prayers , support , blessings,  donations are what help us to move ahead in this life of hunger, Poverty & Homelessness.
We operate through whatsapp only on 8380097564 so kindly take note .
God bless you so much

FOR OVER 2 FULL YEARS WE HAVE BEEN CATERING TO 30+ POOR GOAN FAMILIES ACROSS THE 7 VILLAGES OF CANACONA TALUKA.

5.11.2022. 10am IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR, SANGOLDA has many programs of feeding the poor in Goa & one such program is through Dry Ration.
For over 2 full years we have been catering to 30+ poor Goan families across the 7 villages of Canacona Taluka.
Attached a 3 minutes video 👇
One such volunteer , Mrs Sharon has taken up this task with total commitment & responsibility.
Most of these families are :
☆ Old aged ladies
☆ Poor families
☆ Families with children suffering from disabilities
☆ Widow ladies
☆ Men who just stay alone no family
Few years back I had visited a couple of them and what I saw was beyond my thinking and understanding.
Poverty at its worst coupled with old aged and being unwanted by own children .
Too much sickness in some families .
Had tears in my eyes.
A couple of these families just survive the entire month on the Government dole as and when it gets credited in the account.
This dry ration kit is a blessings to them.
Mrs Sharon & her family have been helping alot of such poor families month after month,  year and after year,  by packing and organizing the drop to their homes.
The current need of the hour is providing cooked food from some hotel or factory .
Save Food , Feed Food, initiative which is suppose to be run by FSSAI BAMBOLIM will actually help kill the hunger of thousands of such poor families across Goa .
But all are sleeping and when awoken only give press statements, releases, bytes etc.
People are suffering for want for food in rural Goa and enough of food is daily being wasted in Goa with FSSAI BAMBOLIM showing no concern to bridge this gap .
Our Food bank was started over 5 years ago looking at the angle of food being wasted and how to feed those who are hungry .
If you support my dream of feeding the poor, old and hungry in rural Goa then please come forward and help us in whatever way you can .
We require your prayers , blessings,  wishes and donations to wipe those tears from these poor old rural villagers who at times might not be getting even one meal a day.
FSSAI BAMBOLIM please awake up and Walk the Talk and get the poor food to eat which is otherwise thrown out daily.
God bless you so much

ONCE DESTINED TO BE DEAD, IS ALIVE AND WALKING.

28.10.2022. 7pm IST
Once destined to be dead, is alive and walking.
Hanumant a Goan family man who once was abandoned by his own family due to excess drinking habit and left to fend for himself, today is finally on his feet,  standing and walking .
All thanks to our Physiotherapy sessions & The Grace of God .
This is our success story no 2.
Hanumant has a wife and 3 children and has practically screwed up his life drinking and making a mess of his family.
Till today he does not remember his 3 children names neither has he seen them last 15 years .
Wife struggles to make ends meet.
Hanumant must have undergone more than 3 operations as his hip / leg had an issue due to some old injury resulting in he being unable to stand and walk .
When we found him and decided to rehabilitate him it was June 21 he was in an old dirty abandoned balcony living in his own mess.
Video attached 3 min only . Must watch 👇
We had to clean him change him and help him to get into our car.
One of the most irritating, complicated, ungrateful and the worst case we have accepted and handled which I can recall in our shelter Homes.
Hanumant was very aggressive,  abusive,  stubborn,  un co operative.
We had to treat him for these issues :
☆ Alcohol – detoxification
☆ Mental frame – psychiatric medication
☆ Physical – operation and numerous trips to Dr
☆ Toilet habits – for over a year he was on pampers
☆ Physiotherapy – for over 4 full months 60 session
Although he was wheel chair bound, his tongue was splitting Venom on the care givers.
He would hit,  kick,  beat,  throw his plate , shout, spit , bite etc
One day in July 22 I lost my cool and confronted him with raging fire and gave him such a peace of my mind which cooled him down there & there
Fortunate that I did not get physical with him.
I told the care givers show him NO MERCY
It worked.
He started using the washroom so no pamper ,
He started eating and behaving well,
Complaints stopped from the care givers
The Physiotherapy sessions was reducing his pain In his leg and he was feeling better .
On his own he would daily do his exercises given by the Physio.
There was a smile now on his face.
He felt better .
We took him home to meet his sister and other members who point blank refuses to even entertain him .
His wife and children clearly told him ” if you come home we will commit suicide & die “.
He harassed them badly when they were very small and those hurts and scars are not gone .
Today Hanumant realizes his fate .
I don't know what will be his future .
But once destined to be dead is today alive. Walking, standing and happy .
Belive me I should not write this ” I wanted to get rid of him along time back because he was just not easy to handle ”
His leg pain was too much for him and he was at times begging to die .
Today @ Dr Gail & Mrs Ditosa Memorial Medical Clinic Sangolda, many such cases are treated daily which after 4 months results are there to showcase .
It's not only about rescue & rehabilitation but it's about the homeless getting their MOJO back .
We are not a permanent home .
In the last 18 months we have spent more than
Rs 2 lacs on HANUMANT which includes :
☆ Medication
☆ Hospital trips
☆ Physiotherapy trips
☆ Doctors Fees
☆ Equipment & aids for his mobility
☆ Food & nutrition
☆ Care givers fees
And why did we go that extra mile ?
No old aged , shelter home or any other NGOs will do so much for FREE for such people.
1st of all no one will admitt him .
And Hanumant is not related to me or to any of my staff or employees.
Yet we see a chance to repay back society for the little we can do in highly complicated and difficult scenarios.
If you know any such people who can't walk or just abandoned for any leg injuries please send them to our Physiotherapy centre .
Our 2 PHYSIOTHERAPISTS  are doing a superb job on such cases with results assured .
Remember we don't charge any fees to 95% of our people in our shelter homes .
Everything is free of cost.
We require your help , prayers , blessings and donations to keep the services running and providing 24*7 care to the homeless across Goa.
God bless you all

IT’S NEVER MY ABILITY BUT MY AVAILABILITY THAT MATTERS TO THE HOMELESS NO MATTER WHAT TIME

27.10.2022. 7Pm IST
Mostly we understand and are explained that God speaks to each one in silence.
But mostly God talks to me in and when I am in the most troubled state and I am all upset and angry .
And so just two days ago I was in a situation as usual little upset with this FSSAI food wastage situation.
Casually I saw a post of am educated man on FB warning people that the man is a fake and so on .
I could Have ignored and just moved on .
But no, something told me help him .
I replied to the post at 9pm  which was shared by VLADMIR de MONTE FURTADO saying ” we can adnitt him into our shelter home “.
Post and my reply snap shot attached and I went to sleep.
I Spoke the Word and I felt upset that an educated man is on the streets and I can be of help.
That Word went forth through The Angels and hit this lady ALBA Desa from MAPUSA.
Alba is senior citizen from Mapusa who was at that day , 9 pm in panjim in front of or near this man .
She casually or felt pity or The Angels told Alba to speak to this man .
Alba spoke,  the man agreed and Alba whatsapp me at approx 11pm .
Snap shot attached
At 1 am I got up to check all the CCTVs in the shelter homes and Alba message caught my attention..
I felt relieved and happy that in my troubles, God used me to help this man .
It's never my ABILITY but my AVAILABILITY that matters to the homeless no matter what time or what is the condition of the homeless,  we wil rescue & rehabilitate .
As usual the man is in Panjim , Alba is in Mapusa and all our staff @ Street Providence are up to our neck.
How do we track this man at night ?
God spoke and Said call Reuben .
Reuben is a youngster in panjim who many times got quite a no of homeless men off the streets into our homes .
Yesterday evening I connected Alba to Reuben and yesterday Late night we got Mr Amarnath off the streets.  Thanks to Reuben.
Totally stressed and may be going through depression .
Did not ask him much as there is time for that.
Incase any one knows him either in Panjim or Bangalore do let me know .
Our Rescue & rehabilitation of the homeless across Goa is now just a whatsapp message away on the phone as along as one follows institutions.
No need to run up and down.
Across all major cities we Have many such REUBENS ready to walk that extra mile to help a homeless.
You too can help like senior citizen Alba a homeless if you come across.
No need to call me .
Talk to the homeless, see their demand if they need shelter,  click a picture and whatsapp me and if possible call the local police staton or 100
You will get a reply.
Its just next to impossible to run after each and every request at times .
Mr Amarnath needs professional help, medication & counseling along with detoxification as he is drinking alcohol on the streets.
We require your help, prayers and blessings as the season is just started and numerous such calls and rescues will be required as Goa attracts alot of man power but not all make it.
Not an easy service of rescuing and rehabilitating the homeless.
God bless you all

TODAY AN ADVERTISEMENT / NOTICE WAS PUT IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPERS CALLING ATTENTION TOWARDS OUR FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER

PART 1
26.10.2022  7 pm IST
On 14th October, FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR staged a silent sit out at Azad Maidan  against food wastage in Goa as FSSAI is not taking any initiative to stop the wastage. And subsequently  FSSAI got moving .
Moving only 10%.
Today an advertisement / notice was put in the local newspapers  calling attention towards our fight against hunger.  ( Attached the advt )
Madam Director I thank you for taking one step.
But it's just not enough , for these 5 QUESTIONS :
☆ 1. Why is it that  the names and phone numbers of the registered partners are not put up in the advertisement?

☆ 2. The advt states  that the registered partners will collect the food ? Who will pay for the costs involved  is not clear?

☆ 3. The advertisement is not insisting that the  food points having excess food  attend the meeting so if no one attends then what ?

☆ 4. The advt is requesting citizens to be  responsible to the needy by donating food to the registered partners.  is this a joke ?

☆ 5. Why is the Government not told to avoid food wastage at all government functions and events?
My ANSWERS  to the above 5 questions:
☆ 1. There are only 3 registered partners on the FSSAI site including our NGO .
Of these,  two phone numbers when called do not connect and the message received says “out of service” etc
Our NGO phone number  is entered wrongly.
Attached  please find  two small 10 sec videos of the response received when  one  calls the  two numbers on the FSSAI website
☆ 2. On the official FSSAI site our NGO has registered as :ACCEPTS SURPLUS FOOD – we accept surplus food, we have not registered to collect extra food that's why we have fridges across Goa – to ACCEPT EXTRA FOOD .
Attached proof of our registration on FSSAI site.
Because there is a huge cost to collect extra food that's why we explained in person,  wrote letters, had meetings asking for support from companies to give us their extra food with a small charge.
No one will collect food at their cost and feed the poor daily in Goa 24* 7 * 365 days .
We are the only NGO collecting food daily on a small scale for the  last 5 years with our own Infrastructre and investment.
Because we can't afford the costs of collecting 5000 kgs daily food we are asking help from  FSSAI and no is listening or is interested to listen .
☆ 3. The advt is only asking and not insisting with  anyone from the food industry where daily good food is wasted to attend.
FSSAI must specifically call Food points where excess food is thrown in bins like the
Off shore casinos ,
the big factories having more than 1000 employees ,
& the big 5 star hotels about 30 in total
These put together waste approximately 5000 kgs daily .
☆ 4. Since the last 5 years,  the citizens of Goa have been very responsive & responsible ( but not the FSSAI ) towards saving food  and take the extra effort to put it in our Food banks fridges across Goa  and I am grateful for that.
Did any time FSSAI Bambolim issue any notice to save food through our fridges in any newspaper?
☆ 5. At All government functions , food contract /catering is given out to private entities. At the last minute, we are called to pick up the extra food  and sometimes it is next to impossible due to various logistic reasons.
FSSAI should issue an order stating that all major Government events  inform  our NGO 24 hours in advance so that we can be prepared to pick and move the food .
FSSAI needs to be a little more PRO ACTIVE and listen to people like me with only 5 years experience on the ground to how to run this project in Goa .
Since we are the only GOAN food bank doing this work, FSSAI should issue a note to all government departments for all Government events not to waste food .
I clearly remember the FSSAI representative from DELHI In March 22 stating that   FRIDGES IN POLICE STATIONS will not work out  and today  FSSAI GOA is asking me for details INFORMALLY  about where our fridges are located.
Please note our FRIDGES & infrastructure is for our daily collection of food which can be capped at only 500 kgs a day .
FSSAI should be the responsible authority to create infrastructure for extra food wastage and not use our infrastructure to hoodwink the system by showing that food is being saved in Goa already because of the FSSAI INITIATIVE
Last understand that extra food is being thrown out because the concerned officials are too busy with other duties .
Why should poor people go-to bed  hungry & the garbage dumps get over loaded?
To the concerned officials ” how do you get sleep at night when food is being wasted “?
All I am asking is  for a dedicated officer FROM FSSAI who understands hunger and poverty to head this project as the DIRECTOR can be occupied with other important duties.
Togther it can be a big success where thousands of kgs food can be daily saved and thousands of meals fed daily to the hungry across Goa.
We will be forced to :
☆ Petition the Governor,
☆ Have another protest with 100 + homeless,
☆ File a PIL &
☆ Even Petition the Prime Minister.
The fight is against the food wastage in Goa and not against any individual or entity .
It's FSSAI INNIATITVE and nothing is being done on this for the last many years .
We need to all work together towards feeding the hungry and the homeless.
God bless you all

GOVERNMENT OF GOA, THROUGH SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT PANJIM , GIFTS THE HOMELESS STREET PEOPLE IN OUR HOME A DIWALI GIFT.

24.10.2022. 10 am IST
GOVERNMENT OF GOA, through Social Welfare Department Panjim , gifts the homeless street people in our home a Diwali Gift.
Deepavali is a festival of lights that symbolize the inner light that protects us from  spiritual darkness.
It also symbolizes  the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
This Diwali spells joy for our Physically Disabled men and women in our 8  Free Shelter Homes across Goa , 90 % are homeless.
The reason being that our Physiotherapy Centre in  Cavelossim has received a Grant of Rs2,50,000/- ( Rs Two lakhs, fifty thousand only) from Directorate of Social Welfare for the purchase of Physiotherapy Equipment.
( 1st installment ) which was credited on Friday and its the 1st installment.
Being poor is like a rock that is hard to bear, but being poor, homeless & person with disabilites is a huge pain / misery  that robs one of even small joys of life.
Many of the men and women in our Shelter Homes are physically challenged. They are unable to walk and care for themselves.
Caregivers spend a lot of time  and effort daily helping them with their daily chores.
Physiotherapy sessions are the need of the hour to get them up and about, walking and able to look after themselves
The onus is on the government of the day to provide equal opportunity to all and create a level playing field.
We are extremely grateful to the Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji, for understanding the need of the hour and providing financial help through this Grant to assist us in setting up this Physiotherapy Clinic in Sangolda.
Two more Physiotherapy clinics are planned soon at Cavelossim & Quepem.
These upcoming two  Physiotherapy Clinics will serve the homeless and physically disabled men & women in our Shelter Homes in Cavelossim and Quepem.
In addition, impoverished persons in and around the vicinity of all the 3 Physiotherapy Clinic can avail of these services free of cost.
We thank the Directorate of Social Welfare and its entire staff for spreading the spirit of positivity and giving new hope to the homeless.
Wishing each and everyone reading this post – our Partners, Benefactors, Volunteers, Well wishers –  A Very Happy and Prosperous Diwali.
This wish comes from the hearts of all homeless, rescued street persons who have benefitted from your kind and generous thoughts and actions.
You may never meet them .
They may never have a chance to thank you personally.
But know that the God that lives in their hearts has seen your kindness and will repay you many times over.
Lastly , I would like to thank everyone who has shown love, care and support to the homeless Street persons. You have helped sustain their lives!
This Grant from Social Welfare Department was possible due to many many individuals who are high ranking government officials who helped me navigate through the Social Welfare Department Panjim.
Getting a grant from any Government Department especially Social Welfare is not an easy task .
A big thanks to Social Welfare Minister of Goa Mr Subhash Phal Dessai ( who understands homeless and disability) for Innaugrating our clinic and putting in a good word towards the grant,
Also I would like to thank the
Asst Director of Social Welfare, Mrs Pradnya Dessai Marathe .
♡♡♡ Dev Borem Korunk!
Once again A Very Happy Deepawali .
God bless you all

RECENTLY WE CELEBRATED WORLD ELDERS DAY

21.10.2022. 7pm IST
Recently we celebrated World Elders Day and we @ Street Providence also played our part by reaching our to many such elders across rural Goa in many many ways .
We present just 2 such cases with a few pictures.
☆ 1. Few weeks back on Social media was reported how in rural Sanguem , a poor goan family house was destroyed due to lighting .
Our Volunteer Mr Akash Pednekar from Curchorem reached the family and assessed the help we could provide .
Hardly any road access to their house and just 1 neighbour in the vicinity of 100 meters .
The family home entire electrical wiring was short circuited  and destroyed.
Besides that alot of house hold electrical & electronic equipment was destroyed.
The man is a person with disabilities and has no major source of income besides the government pension.
Our team comprising of Sapnesh Salgaonkar & Akash Pednekar ( along with the local Zila Parishad member)  donated some items like
A new Television, Ceiling fans,  etc from our side.
Infact why Television?
Well just 2 days before this incident, a family donated a big new Television to one of our shelter homes which did not have a television.
So since we saved that money , we decided why not give this family a brand new television.
One needs to give only then you get.
☆ 2. A poor elderly goan man was in need of a wheel chair and our NGO employee Mr Akshay Dessai from Sulcorna was contacted by this family .
Immediately Akshay Dessai visited the family in rural canacona and suggested we help the man.
Infact Akshay Dessai drove with the wheel chair from Quepem to Rural Canacona and personally donated the wheel chair.
Out of love and gratitude the elderly man gave Akshay petrol money which was really touching.
☆ 3. Month after month, last 2 years  we have close to 30 goan families across rural Canacona recieving Dry ration kits worth Rs 1000 through our Volunteer in Canacona Mrs Sharon .
The elderly are getting and feeling the pinch of timely  food, clothing and medication.
Families at times are struggling themselves to provide for their immediate loved ones.
Automatically the elderly are pushed into a corner.
We through our volunteers and staff month after month try our level best to provide at times 125 kits of dry ration to such families worth Rs 1000 each across Goa .
We play our little party daily in rural Goa by bringing small smiles on the poor, elderly,  disabled, widows, bed ridden,  etc .
We also get blessings and prayers from these poor rural elderly people.
It's sometimes really to far traveling from Sangolda to interior parts of South Goa .
But with a base in the form if rehabilitation homes at Quepem & Cavelossim it gets very easy to move or help people in entire South Goa.
Its only in giving and giving without expecting back that one can feel the peace, joy and happiness .
God bless you all

NOT ONLY RESCUES AND PROVIDES REHABILITATION BUT WE ALSO PROVIDE IN HOUSE MEDICAL SERVICES THROUGH OUR PHYSIOTHERAPY CENTRE

20.10.2022. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA not only rescues and provides rehabilitation but we also provide in house medical services through our Physiotherapy centre at Sangolda.
Dr Gail and Mrs Ditosa Memorial Medical Clinic @ Sangolda was started 4 months back specifically to provide free health care facilities to people with disabilities and those who are homeless in our shelter homes.
And the 1st such free medical service was Physiotherapy..
Watch the video of 3 minutes only . 👇
A lady in cast, just 5 months back today walking without any assistance and is suffering from mental disabilities also only due to Physiotherapy.
And the 1st such RESULT is here to be happy & proud about.
This is our local Goan abandoned lady from Nagoa -Arpora, Mrs Rajani Shirodkar.
We are caring for her last 5 years and about 6 months back she broke her leg and was in plaster in GMC.
During this time an XRAY was done which showed a rod in her other leg which we were unaware about .
She does not talk much that's another issue.
Anyway on her discharge in late May from GMC I realized that the care giver ie Nuns from FMCK who run this home would have a tough time if she gets bed ridden due to the fracture.
Belive me our PHYSIOTHERAPY center was yet to be fully operational and we hired a lady PHYSIOTHERAPIST who would go every alternate day to treat Rajni at the Shelter home .
Full June, July , August  due to rains we did not want to risk Rajani getting cold or cough so
In house Physiotherapy was provided which was quite expensive.
But from September, Rajani is brought to the Physiotherapy clinic 3 times a week by car and treated by the lady Physiotherapist and look and see how she is fit fine and walking .
And just 45 days at our Physiotherapy centre has done wonders to her .
I mean why should we go-to such an extent ?
They are homeless and abandoned so giving food , shelter is enough, why give more ?
Well I most of the times think and look at them as my own although I don't get emotionally involved.
Rajani can be anyone mother,  sister , grandmother,  mother in law .
She too is frustrated being abandoned by her own son and daughter who stay in the Arpora .
The unwanted feeling is yet to die down in her .
And if she gets bed ridden it's going to be a big problem to all – care givers, our staff , herself.
We have to go beyond our call of duty as that is where the blessings are .
We have to give AGAPE LOVE to such people who can never ever repay us back but only their prayers and blessings are given to us .
If any one recognizes Rajani Shirodkar please ask her family to atleast come and visit her.
It will cheer her up .
She can still stay with us but she needs to go in peace .
Once again if any such elderly people are going through such physical issues and have given up hope to walk due to any sort of fractures or any bone related issues. ” HOLD ON “.
We have the best,  young , energetic, goan  Physiotherapists  and a fully loaded Physiotherapy centre with the latest equipment in a fully air conditioned centre at Sangolda .
You just need to DREAM big .
This is the 1st success story of our PHYSIOTHERAPY center.
There are many such hopeless cases in our home ONCE UPON A TIME .
But WE DARE TO DREAM & WE DREAM BIG .
We will be presenting alot of such successful homeless people with disabilities benefitting from this free Physiotherapy sessions since they are homeless.
And this is the 1st such Free Physiotherapy centre .
Two more are planned in South Goa very soon.
We require support to foot the bills of the Physiotherapists salary even though they are providing their services below the normal prevailing rates as of today.
God bless you all

TODAY IS WORLD FOOD DAY ” LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND hungry “

16.10.2022. 10am IST
Today is World Food Day ” LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND hungry ”
We at the FOOD BANK Sangolda having been collecting & feeding thousands of people extra cooked food throug our food bank fridges in Goa.
This year from March 17th , The Honourable Governor of Goa has been supporting this initiative and 6 months to date we get every week 100 cooked meals towards feeding the hungry and homeless.
But on the other hand THE FSSAI Dept Bambolim is just sleeping on their own initiative which is on their web site SAVE FOOD FEED FOOD , so much so that even THE CM of Goa has marked a note to them 6 months back to look into this but nothing.
So much that two days back our food bank went on a silent protest for 90 minutes at AZAD MAIDAN .
Watch this link 👇
Celebrating food day today and going to sleep rest of the year is a crazy and weird celebration.
For the last 5 years our Food Bank is implementing the SPIRIT OF WORLD FOOD DAY on a daily basis.
Today Police Stations in Goa play a big role in our food bank program by allowing our NGO to install food bank fridges  in 10 Police stations in Goa where by extra food is deposited by the public 24*7.
Police Department comes under The Home Minister who is also THE CHIEF MINISTER.
So basically THE Honourable Governor of Goa & The Chief Minister of Goa are supporting the hungry & the homeless throughout the year .
So what's the issue with THE FSSAI DIRECTOR @ BAMBOLIM ?
Our next step to see that food in Goa is saved, is :
☆ 1. Petition The Governor of Goa &
☆ 2. PIL in the High Court.
If nothing happens still :
Petition the Honourable Prime Minister of India as it was his desire to reduce hunger in India through the SAVE FOOD SHARE FOOD INITIATIVE.
Few days ago its highlighting everywhere that
India has slipped down in hunger & poverty and the only solution PAN INDIA is the SUPERB initiative of FSSAI ie ” SAVE FOOD SHARE FOOD”
But who is going to BELL THE CAT ?
This is the million dollar question.
India on a whole wastes per year 67 million tonnes of food worth Rs 92000 crorers .
Goa daily wastes 10 tonnes of food on a lower side .
My blood boils looking at the food wastage in Goa and India and the poor getting poorer .
There are 20 crore people in India below poverty line & 23 crore people are earning less than Rs 375 per day .
PRIME MINISTER of INDIA should pull up all these FSSAI OFFICIALS Pan Inda and ask them accountability for the last 4 years on what was done through the SAVE FOOD SHARE FOOD INNIATITVE.
Or NGOs like ours should be ropped in to solve the food wastage issue.
We have been on the ground last 5 years daily celebrating WORLD FOOD DAY
Please don't waste food .
God bless you all
