LOOKING OUT FOR A HOME IN SOUTH GOA TO REHAB 25 to 35 HOMELESS STREET MEN .

2.1.2021 8 pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA is looking out for a home in South Goa to rehab
25 to 35 homeless street men .
Attached a 14 min video👇🏻
You can also go through my Face Book page or our You Tube channel in case the video is not dowloading.
Plenty of homeless men including our ethnic goans on the streets and we lost a big home due to EGO & their INTERNAL CONFLICT .
Our other homes are full.
If you have or any one who has:
▪︎A big home
▪︎A incomplete building
▪︎A big dormitory
▪︎A farm area with a field
▪︎Anything liveable,
Where homeless men can be looked after and rehabilitated, please let me know.
If in the beginning of the New Year we can help the homeless who are on the streets for many many reasons, then now is the time .
50 % homeless street people are our very own Goans of all religions.
No one usually looks much at homeless as a major issue , as the numbers are very big .
We are ready for rehabilitation of any where between 300 to 500 people.
Free . No charges. But place is an issue.
Already we are rehabilitating 100 + in our 8 homes minus the biggest one which we are leaving as WE JUST LOST IT.
Support us through your prayers , blessings, time , donations both in kind and through NEFT / CHEQUES .
Your reward is assured as you are providing a roof for the homeless street people through this post.
We offer you income tax exemption under section 80G for your donations along with your pan card copy .

WISHES YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021.

31.12.2020
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA wishes you all a Very Happy New Year 2021.
♡♡ We thank you all our benefactors, well wishers, volunteers , collaborators for the support shown to us during the entire year 2020.
We suffered a terrible set back during the last days of Dec 2020.
A link of a video attached below 👇
But on the other side , the entire 2020 we managed to reach out to many people on the streets especially during the entire lockdown and even now.
I took a terrible beating by believing blindly people who actually promised to support us and ended up investing a few lacs of Rupees but feeling terribly cheated .
May be their need was more important than the lives of the poor , underprivileged, homeless street people.
May be all the work they did with us on the streets of Goa by feeding the hungry right from july 2017 was nothing as compared to the person who instigated them to get us and the homeless street men out of their home.
I mean no one comes into a home for only 11 months especially when its rehabilitation program and when you invite us to clean up your home both of the illegal migrants and the big terrible rubbish and rouble accumulated in the entire complex.
Today as we close the year, I recall the same situation I went thru in dec 2017 .
The difference was in dec 2017 when we were given marching orders , we had a few men to move and the investment was NIL.
May be in the future, we might be able to work together.
But then I always recall, without trouble you can never be successful.
If there is no opposition to good work then there is something wrong.
We will survive this storm and come back strongly as these homeless destitute people are CHILDREN OF GOD and no parent will abandon their own children .
God has provided in the last 3 years and surely God will provide.
I am not going to make a mistake again.
Today in a pandemic we are moving our 35 homeless sick men.
Moving where?
We really dont know where.
If you reading this post are aware of any big house or big building to lease or give to use for a good cause please let us know.
Yes its easy to accuse .
There will always be other party views which can be counted on.
But your own society members including your BOSS, data , messages, calls dont lie.
Look in the records of Telephone companies and at MHA.
Truth will be explained.
Even the BOSS is not lying .
Thank God that the BOSS is speaking the truth .
I am determined to start the New Year in a very positive note .
I let go of the losses and empty promises .
Please NEVER PROMISE TO HELP THE POOR IF YOU CANT OR ARE UNSURE.
Because rehabilitation programs work on long term commitments and once promises are made then the disappointment is huge to live with.
Today we moved out 11 such men of the 35 to one of our existing homes.
In the next 2 days all 24 will be moved here and there .
Whatever we require of the investment or assets will be taken.
Rest will be kept back.
Let the owners use and enjoy the assets which today are no use in our current homes or in case we get another big home.
We BLESS YOU & prayer for you, your boss, asst boss, all your society members.
But the sad part is WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP any more homeless people in the coming month till we get another big home.
Fyi, there are close to 80 + abandoned people fully fit to be admitted into a shelter home from so many different health care places where they were brought for treatment but ended up lying there as no one came to take them .
There are people lying say for 5 years to about 10 – 15 years .
Very sad .
But this New Year we will with the Grace of God we will get atlest 80 of these people into our shelter homes.
Provided we get big homes to use .
In addition to these 80 there are another
70 + people who can be rehabilitated in the next 3 to 6 months .
Of these first 80+ people, 22 are goan men who have no place , no family or relative ready to look after them .
Then there will be more homeless street people looking for rehabilitation as the pandemic is disturbing alot of poor families, routine and life style .
As we celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus , we need to remember that , baby Jesus was born in a stable and died on a cross doing ONLY GOOD.
No property, assets nothing in his name .
We forget we come with nothing and go with nothing but only our good deeds matter.
We at Street PROVIDENCE are UNABLE to own our own home as we just cant raise crores of Rupees .
I never started Street Providence to own property.
We started a trust to help homeless people without owning any property.
It ran successfully for 3 years and it will run the same way in the future.
Property is not important to us as of today.
There is so much of unused big homes owned by private people and SOCITIES in Goa which can be used to serve the homeless street people.
If we cannot get a place no problem, we will divert our attention and energy on 👇 these projects :
☆ Looking after our 100+ destitudes ,
☆ Feeding more people through our MOW
☆ Providing dry ration to another 500 families ( we are already providing to 500 families),
☆ Running free clinics across Goa for those in depression, alcohol, etc ,
☆ Providing transportation through our ambulances and cars from rural areas of Goa for poor goan people who can't reach hospitals as they just cant afford it ,
☆ Providing free medication to poor goan families through our medicine bank .
We are even getting ready to install more food bank fridges out of Goa .
But we will not sit quite .
I will over come this setback with GOOD .
Remember David v/s Goliath.
150 year old Society is instigated to shut down a 3 year old NGO .
And they have taken the bait.
I end with a sense of gratitude to you all benefactors and volunteers for the support over the last 3 years .
11 years back I was homeless, penniless, jobless , hopeless condition.
But its my determination and multitasking ability, which made me to come back.
Plus today I have God, my wife , trustees , volunteers, benefactors, well wishers to help me come back and come back strongly .
Keep supporting us .
God bless you all
Once again A VeryHappy New Year 2021 .
God bless you all

WHAT AND HOW WE DO AT THE FOOD BANK IN GOA

30.12.2020 10am IST
2014 preparing & feeding 50 tiffins a day
2020 fed 5000 meals on 19.12.2020 across Goa .
Its been a long and fruitful journey.
A link of 15 min video of what and how we do at the food bank in Goa 👇
Its been a dream run for all of us doing best what We are called to do ie FEEDING THE POOR & HUNGRY IN GOA.
Till the lockdown ie March 2020 we used to daily collect on an average 1000 to 1500 kgs of food from bakeries, hotels , factories, caterers, wedding halls etc.
Post Lockdown April 2020 we started getting absolutely nothing till early October 2020 where now we daily collect about
500 kgs of food.
From February 2020 we started serving freshly cooked/ bought breakfast outside all the major government hospital in Goa,
Where we cater to about 200 to 250 meals depending on logistics.
In early November 2020 we started MOW ( Meals on Wheels) in major municipalities in Goa feeding the homeless daily 2 meals.
MOW consists of
☆ 1 bread / paratha with 1 banana afternoon
☆ 1 bread / paratha with 1 egg at night .
We also have Volunteers who run MOW and feed poor goan families across Goa both rural and urban both afternoon & night.
Our MOW reaches to 800 to 1000 people daily again depending on logistics .
All our volunteers come in free and there are days they are unwell, other commitments , weather not favourable, bike breaks down, etc so feeding may not happen.
The 500 kgs food we daily pick is sent to other food bank fridges and for our 8 rehabilitation homes where we look after 100+ destitudes and that's about 300 meals in our own homes.
So daily we feed about 2000+ through the above program, in the pandemic which is not an easy task .
We also provide dry ration to 500 poor goan families of which 250 families are HIV INFECTED.
Of these 500 families, we have complete data base of 400 families and the other 100 data is being put together.
A very unique food bank which till 2017 was not ever attempted in Goa on the scale that it operates now .
And that brings us to you .
Yes, we are doing this service because of YOU our BENEFACTORS and numerous VOLUNTEERS .
Without VOLUNTEERS AND BENEFACTORS we would not be able to grow and cover such a vast area with so many running projects .
Along with success also comes JEALOUSY & DOUBT .
Its human nature .
We invite, anyone who wishes to join us to actually see the working, to please come in daily for 6 days .
Just because it was never done that does not mean it cant be done.
You will amazed to see how Gods Favour is upon us and how the numerous volunteers work faithfully fulfilling their calling with their own bikes and their own petrol.
Why ? Because all our volunteers see God in the poor .
God is not in religious buildings, properties, land , etc but he exists in the poorest of the poor .
Those who refuse to believe poverty and hunger exists in Goa , will be surprised to read a report coming which says malnutrition in children post pandemic is rising.
It will be published soon .
We @ the food bank are trying to take this daily figure of 2000+ meals to 4000+ daily meals in the New Year .
Support us through your prayers , blessings, time , donations both in kind and through NEFT / CHEQUES .
Your reward is assured as you are keeping food flowing to the plates of the poor and hungry through your sacrifice and donation .
We offer you income tax exemption under section 80G for your donations along with your pan card copy .

THANKS, APPI , ( AZIM PREMJI PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVES )

28.12.2020  5PM  IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA THANKS,  APPI , ( AZIM PREMJI PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVES ) one of India's biggest philanthropic organisation for supporting our 3 rehabilitation men's home for the next 3 years .
A 20 min video in this link 👇
It's been a long 8 months getting all the paperwork done, and here we are , ” The youngest NGO ever @ only 3 years old , ever to be granted funding under APPI “.
The work has spoken for itself.
Our accounts and our systems passed the strictest of checks at APPI enabling us to get these grants inspite of being just 3 years old and with only 2 Balance Sheets in hand as the balance sheet for 19 -20 is yet to be finalized.
That's the level of transparency we maintain @ Street Providence .
It's the transparency and the free flowing operation which had enabled us to run one of Goa's OUT OF THE BOX operations towards eradicating hunger and  homelessness in Goa ,  which caught the eye of those at APPI.
Thanks to Mr John Pinto my brother in law & his wife Mrs Joanita Pinto ( buddy)  who is our trustee and my sister for taking care of all the paperwork in the last 8 months.
A big thanks to the man who introduced me to APPI,  Fr Edward, President of CRI , Bangalore Archdiocese , who met me just for 1 hour but understood my work.
Today I stand with folded hands and say a big thank you to all these listed below who played a part at some time or the other :

You guys are a blessing from God .
Last but not the least to BRO JOHNSON for allowing us to actually start our rehabilitation home in his place at NCH in june 2017 & then issuing us marching orders as he realised that to grow one needs to be in the open World among the poor and hungry.
Thank God I walked away in Nov 2017 and did not retaliate.
In fact BJ dropped in and prayed with our family on 14.12.2020,  the day APPI official was doing his final inspection in our homes
Just 3 years and see what THE LORD HAS DONE.
I had numerous set backs,  threats , complaints at police stations,  good volunteers left me , donations dwindled at times, arrest seemed imminent,  lost my health,  various problems.
But its THE FAVOUR OF GOD, that i passed the trials and the tribulations and challenges.
Just 3 years old and such a big Grant from Indias biggest philanthropic organisation is not a small achievement.
To you benefactors GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SEED and be rest assured your donations have been planted properly for which you can see fruits.
For the doubting Thomas & few disgruntled elements, sorry you can never ever spoil my name or my integrity , especially where accounts & money is concerned.
God bless you all and keep supporting us.

IN COLLABORATION WITH MRS. JOSEPHINE FROM AMAZING GRACE GUIRIM HELPS TO BRING SIGHT BACK TO THIS HOMELESS ABANDONED STREET WOMAN.

22.12.2020  8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA in collaboration with Mrs Josephine from Amazing Grace Guirim helps to bring SIGHT back to this homeless abandoned street woman.
You must watch the video of 30 sec and see the pictures attached.
On 7.11.2020, we had uploaded about this lady who was abandoned right outside the government hospital 24×7 for more than 7 days .
Psi Mrs Rupali from Mapusa Police station took alot of trouble to get her Covid,  medical and NOC done , and requested us to rehabilitate her .
Shanti the woman was totally blind in both eyes as she had cataract and she was traumatized being left on the streets.
Has a husband and 2 sons .
Since our ladies home @ Sanjoe Niwas Saligao is full , but the requirement of Shanti was greater, I dialled Mrs Josephine
who till date had not said no to my request.
Yet to meet Josephine as of date.
See,  as LAY people we are CHOOSEN & ANNOINTED to do such work.
We are not FORCED because we dont have a profession.
I am a sales man cum professional Accountant and Josephine is a Professional Nurse .
The work we both do is free,  voluntarily,  AGAPE and we dont get any fees from such people.
Old aged , schools,  homes charge their inmates fees.
Our only source of Income is through donations, yet jealously makes others doubt.
We have filled the gaps in the rehabilitation sector and health care sector for the poor , homeless street people,  ONLY because those SO CALLED ANNOINTED SECTION refuse to do the service free.
Besides MT & a very few of organizations which I can count , no one wants to provide free service of rehabilitation to such people on the streets.
But these same SO CALLED ANNOINTED SECTION will not stop short of condemning LAY PEOPLE who are actually struggling without resources, no homes , no care givers etc.
Today Josephine had taken the trouble to bring a smile on Shanti face by getting  her one eye operated and it's a great feeling for me to be part of this smile .
Thanks to Rotary club of Mapusa & Vision hospital for providing free cataract surgery to Shanti and many homeless people from Street Providence over the last 3 years .
Shanti wishes to stay back with Josephine as she trusts her now .
Once traumatized and abandoned,  its very difficult to  believe others.
Both Street Providence & Amazing Grace are committed to be working togther for the poor homeless abandoned street woman.
Come support us in any way you can
We accept Donations in Cheque or NEFT with your pan card  no .
We offer you Income Tax exemption under section 80G on all your donations.

GETS OFF THE STREETS 2 OLD MEN WHO WERE ON THE STREETS OF MARGAO.

20.12.2020 11am
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA gets off the streets 2 old men who were on the streets of Margao.
Attaching 2 videos of both the men when they were found on the streets
Also attached their pictures with the ladies who took the trouble to get them off the streets.
☆ 1. Johnson is a keralite , aged about 70+ years and was spotted by Mrs Audrey from Margao in front of Vishal theatre.
♡ Mrs Audrey spent alot of time and effort and even got close to an argument/disagreement with me as the process to get Johnson off the streets was taking time.
But inspite of the frustration, Mrs Audrey held her nerves, tolerated all the procedure we asked her to follow and after about 15 days, completed all paperwork, treated him in the hospital for 3 days and last week herself admitted Johnson into our home at margao.
Johnson is born in Kollam , Kerala but was staying in Valaynnur , Chikmangalore District, Karanataka.
His wife Puspha died and he has no children or any living family members .
Has been on the streets of Goa for close to 2 years looking to get food clothing shelter in his old age .
☆ 2. Yallapa was has been living on the bus stop of Guirdolim right through the pandemic and the rains .
♡ Sharon who is a SSVP member from Chandor got him off the streets.
For close to 3 weeks Sharon has been trying to get all the paperwork done and finally last week she herself admitted Yallapa into our home in margao.
Yallapa has no family of his own .
He was brought to work in one of the milk dairies in Guirdolim many years back .
But due to old age he was thrown out by the dairy owners.
He went back to KARNATAKA but there too his brothers refused him entry .
So he reached back to Guirdolim and the bus stand was his home.
Has TB which is due to hunger.
Why do I write such details ?
It's to get you motivated and see if there are such poor old homeless people if you too can reach out too.
We just dont respond and run around to any queries of homeless people on streets but we request you to do all the paperwork and bring such homeless people to our homes.
You will feel that joy and happiness when you run around getting the paperwork organized.
We will rehabilitate as many as we can, till we can.
At the moment our only available space is at Margao.
Other homes are full.
Close to 35 such sick , old , infirmed, wheelchair bound, men are housed in this margao home.
Not sure how long we will be able to house them in this home.
Come play your part and be a help to those still on the streets looking for a hand to catch.
Support us in any way you can .
We require your support as running rehabilitation homes is a very expensive affair as non of the inmates pay us any charges.
We are not Government funded .
We accept donation only through NEFT / CHEQUES along with your pan card copy .
We offer you INCOME TAX EXEMPTION UNDER 80G.

Jose Miranda pulled up his sleeves and got his team ready within 7 days to support 1000 meals which is not a easy task .
Especially with the amount of pressure I put on anyone who works with us.
Last but not the least JOHN BAPTIST who is our EVER DEPENDABLE VOLUNTEER for anything and everything in SOUTH GOA.
He has a big team which always works in silence and they never make any noise .
( Every morning at 7.30 am last 7 months running JOHN serves free breakfast outside hospicio hospital in Margao without fail.) Not an easy commitment.
Come FEBRUARY 2021 we will attempt 10000 meals on one single day .
♡♡♡ To all benefactors who contributed to this program especially Mr Crispin Sequeira who provided logistics with his 2 trucks and his contribution to the shortfall of the 5000 meals which I could not raise the money.
Thanks to God for the FAVOUR to run such a complex and mammoth NGO covering many many projects, without an office but only a phone and everything through social media.
Daily we feed close to 1500 to 2000 meals as well as rehabilitate 100 plus homeless street people in our 8 homes across Goa .
I have to deal with bricks & bats but we have very supportive trustees in :
☆ Adv Caroline
☆ Joanita Pinto
☆ Freddy Mendez

ATTEMPTING TO FEED 5000 MEALS TO THE POOREST OF THE POOR .

19.12.2020  7am IST
GOA welcomes the President of India to our state on the occasion of our Liberation day .
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA on this Liberation Day is attempting to feed 5000 meals to the poorest of the poor .
I am clarifying that since :
☆ 1.  It's The President of India visit to                Goa.
☆ 2.  Its Goa Liberation Day
☆ 3.  Christmas is around the corner
☆ 4.  It's a public holiday
This project of feeding is undertaken.
Nothing more to be read into .
No negative comments or ideas .
All 5000 meals are taken from NAVTARA with a bill and YOU my BENEFACTORS have paid for all these meals.
For those benefactors who believe me and our NGO and read our messages and have donated in the past & who donate currently ,  it's a big thank you .
Your seed has not gone in vain.
And for those who read and see the messages on social media , yet dont believe and only find fault and spoil my name , my advice ” keep sucking your thumb”.
To all the VOLUNTEERS , other NGOS, archdiocese organizations,  Government officials , etc   Words are not enough to SAY THANK YOU.
Keeping faith in God today that the 5000 meals are delivered and enjoyed by the poorest of the poor.
TO the entire team of NAVTARA right across Goa , YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST FOR ACCEPTING OUR ORDER ,
Its 5000 meals,
on a Saturday
Christmas week,
Regular customers in all navtara today
Yet NAVTARA has supported this cause of feeding 5000 meals today.

Live From The Field

18.12.2020 3 pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA with support from all our BENEFACTORS donated Christmas presents to 10 Orphanges right across Goa .
It's been 3 years we are running a trust and this is the 1st year we are starting to reach out to ORPHANGES & FOSTER CARE HOMES with a little of something.
We did the same run last month in November 2020 and will do the same run every month .
Attached a link of the gifts packed and moved to orphanages today 👇
We managed to provide to 3 different homes the following:
▪︎A. New inverter at a girls home where there are 11 children costing Rs 17000.
▪︎B. New internet connection cum broadband valid for 6 months costing Rs 10000 at a shelter home for girls.
▪︎C. New water purifier costing Rs 9000 at a boys shelter home.
And all 10 homes we asked what was the requirement and we provided whatever was on their list.
My 3 children tried to help out in the sorting and packing and gifted their
own selves whatever was extra.
Thanks to our :
♡♡ Trustee Mrs Joanita &
♡♡ Operation Incharge Mr Sapnesh
for all the co ordinating , purchasing and packing.
Thanks to :
♡♡ Sydney, Victor, Sudarshan & Orville for moving these gifts today to the 10 shelter/ orphanages across Goa .
We gave all new , nothing old .
And we did not give any clothes.
I observed and I know its rude to write this ” festival time everyone wishes to offload only clothes to old aged and shelter homes”
But clothes only dont make the inmates happy.
Any shelter/ orphanage / rehabilitation/ foster care home requires food and expenses to be taken care off on a priority basis.
If there are any other stand alone orphanges in Goa only requiring any help in the future on a monthly basis please let us know.
We will definitely help with a little of something.
And relax. No pictures or names will be ever be put on social media in this aspect.
Just like my kids will be happy with their gifts, I am humbled as well as happy that God has inspired me with this project inspite of my impatient and hurriedly attitude .
Please support us in whatever you can in our many projects.
No clothes please.
We accept donations only through cheque/ NEFT but with your PAN CARD copy and in kind.
We offer you 80G exemption on all your donations.
