SWEETS FOR FESTIVALS IS TO SHARE THE SPIRIT OF GIVING & TO CHEER UP THOSE ESPECIALLY WHEN ONE IS IN CAMPS

14.11.23.  8pm IST
The above report is from NDTV published just less than a day Before of me writing this post.☝️☝️
I had visualized 3 months back the same point, which NDTV has highlighted .
Today is also Children's day and Fr Clifford Castellino has a nice message attached with this post both in English & Konkanni in his 2 videos👇👇
Today we will understand about festive sweets.
Sweets for festivals is to share the spirit of giving & to cheer up those especially when one is in camps.
We attempted to send 1000 boxes of sweets for Diwali but the frequent shut down is the issue.
But the team will distribute these sweets once it reaches Imphal.
For Christmas we are sending :
☆ 5000 boxes of Creamux Cookies &
☆ 5000 boxes of Regos Bebinca
☆ but the response is not encouraging and that is a sign that is not good
Stocks had to be ordered in advance which we have done and all these stocks are in our office.
We have a credit period offered by both manufacturers but both their bills will need to be paid in due course of time.
Quite a good number asked me why send sweets and not ration ?
You and I all celebrate our festivals with sweets and as human beings it's ones duty to share that JOY with those who just might not have that facility.
One never knows when situations and circumstances can be reversed.
We feel the pain,  despair , heart breaks , sickness,  suffering etc of so many poor people either on TV or on social media platforms.
But pity & sympathy without food, clothing,  medications is not going to get those suffering, any benefit.
To give Christmas Cookies & Bebinca for the displaced people in Camps we are just having time till 17.11.23.
Its an opportunity to be a blessing to those in the relief camps through our last appeal for Christmas Sweets , which can bring huge smiles and cheers to these displaced people across 30+ camps in Churachandpur.
You can contact us through whatsapp on 8380097564 and we will do the needful.
God bless you so much

STARTING OUR 6TH SHELTER HOME FOR WOMEN SUFFERING FROM DISABILITIES AND THE 10th OVERALL SHELTER HOMES IN GOA

13.11.2023. 7pm IST
We are hearing too many SILENT cries of poor goan women looking for shelter and medication due to poverty, abandonment & sickness.
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is starting our 6th Shelter Home for Women suffering from disabilities and the 10th overall shelter home in Goa, on 18.11.2023.
♡♡♡ Archbishop of Imphal, His Grace , Rev Fr Dominc Lumon, will be blessings this shelter home in the presence of Director of Women & Child, Government of Goa, Mrs Sangeeta Porob &  elected representatives from the local bodies.
STREET PROVIDENCE has collaborated with FMCK Congregation at their Candolim home to look after poor goan ladies suffering from disabilities with focus on Dimentia & other Neurological sickness.
Our collaboration with FMCK which started in mid 2018 , has been very successful & has grown from strength to strength.
Our homes for ladies suffering from disabilities supported by FMCK are at:
☆ Calangute
☆ Cavelossim
☆ Candolim
We also have  ladies shelter homes at :
☆ Guirim  2 homes &
☆ Chorao 1 home
☆ Our one mens home at Cavelossim is in a house  which is owned by FMCK but rented out to our NGO for rehabilitation of the homeless men with disabilities.
The Provincal of St Clare @ FMCK & the council, understands the need of the hour of shelter homes for poor ladies with Disabilities & other neurological issues and that's why one can see the work right from 2018 growing consistently.
How many have heard of a lay NGO collaborating with a religious congregation ?
And that too with NUNS.
And too for 6 years and counting ?
Not easy for a lay NGO to collaborate, work, sustain and open up so many homes the way FMCK & our NGO has been doing it consistently.
There are issues and hurdles but when both our FOCUS is on the same Charisma, everything else takes a back seat.
It's time other CRI ( GOA ) open up their homes for rehabilitation of the poor goans suffering from mental disabilities as everyone wants/ feels that Street Providence will take all and sundry on the streets for rehabilitation.
But where are the HOMES ?
We as an NGO don't own any property and all our homes across Goa & India are in rented premises.
♡♡♡ Thanks to Sudharop NGO for donating 25 beds and 21 mattresses towards this 6th home.
Alot , I mean alot of poor goan women are suffering fron mental disabilities and are being abandoned by family members due to poverty and other genuine issues.
Alot of young girls/ ladies/ middle aged women are turning up homeless due to mental disabilities and no one wants to rehabilitate them on a long term basis as non of them can afford the fees of a home due to poverty and abandonedment.
80% ( of the 50 we care for) of the ladies we rehabilitate are poor goans who are suffering from chronic mental disabilities and if we were not in service of the poor , these 40+ goan ladies would be on the streets living an unbearable and pathetic life.
Coming 2024 , we are keen to start another 8 to 10 homes in Goa, with majority of these homes being only for poor goan homeless women suffering from mental disabilities and other neurological disorders.
We are fighting a terrible battle in Goa against mental disabilities where by our own poor goans, especially ladies are crying silently due to mental disabilities and the need of the hour is more homes and blessings in the form of donations.
Not many are entering this field of providing free rehabilitation and shelter to those suffering from mental disabilities especially to the poorest of the poor as its a service which requires commitment and passion.
Please let's thank God as we innaugrate this 6th home on 18.11.23 at the hands of The Archbishop of Imphal, that many more poor goan ladies suffering from mental disabilities can get a dignified life in this shelter home.
All queries and communications strictly only through whatsapp messages on 8380097564.
God bless you all

IT’S THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS & WE WISH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU A VERY HAPPY DIWALI FESTIVAL

12.11.23. 9pm IST
It's the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS & WE @ Street Providence Goa wish each and every one of you A Very Happy Diwali Festival.
We @ Street Providence gave away a little for the poor in Goa for DIWALI.
In Manipur, for Diwali , we planned to give away 1000 sweet boxes but due to continuous blockade , this did not happen today but it will happen in the coming week as sweet boxes are ready in Guwahati but transportation is an issue into IMPHAL.
IN Jharkhand, we are giving away for DIWALI something warm for 500 children but yet to get the details.
Whatever you SOW, to bring LIGHT into a poor people life, AUTOMATICALLY comes back to you, bringing LIGHT into your life.
Just four days ago, our Young Volunteer from Curchorem,  Mr Akash Pednekar,  distributed on behalf of our NGO to 100 poor Goan families in that area , 1 pkt each of Phova & 1 pkt of Jaggery.
And this is the 3rd year running,  he is distributing on behalf of our NGO  pre-Diwali all by himself.
I told him ” no pictures required “.
This small gesture surely brought little LIGHT to these families to some extent.
But Last night , A retired School Teacher from
St Theresa School , Candolim , Sir Domnic Colaco, ( along with his team ) also brought LIGHT to our NGO by managing to raise a huge amount of donation for Manipur displaced people.
Well you must be aware that we are attempting to raise CREAMUX Cookies & REGOs BEBINCA for the displaced people in Manipur through our 4th truck which leaves on 18.11.23.
Sir Domnic, ( along with his team ) organized a tiatr  in AID of our MANIPUR RELIEF , which I was aware, but WAS not ACTUALLY aware that it's SOLELY organized by Sir Domnic and that this tiatr was his baby & that too Sir Domnic organizing a tiatr at this age inspite of being a senior citizen.
I mean who at this age will want to take trouble and headache to raise funds for those displaced in relief camps ?
Alot of people WHATSAPP me the tickets that were printed and inquired if it's for STREET PROVIDENCE which I said YES.
I never expected that the entire benefit of this tiatr  after meeting all expenses would be so much and all this benefit would be used for our MANIPUR RELIEF Christmas hamper.
Our Trustee Mrs Caroline Collaso & our Volunteer Mr Arturo Dsouza were present on behalf of our NGO and I am sure they too were taken aback that this tiatr was organized solely by Sir Domnic Colaco ( and his team).
My association with Sir Domnic goes back to about 10 years back at NCH , Calangute.
Everyone who knows Sir Domnic will agree with me that Sir Domnic is a very soft spoken , quite and practical man who gets the job done once he puts his hand to that job.
But he putting in effort last 3 months to get a tiatr organized and that too at the right time when we are attempting to arrange  & meet the deadline.
Sir Domnic ( and his team ) gesture in BRINGING LIGHT to those who need the most and that too on the eve of DIWALI,  means alot to me.
Festivals knows no religion.
Hunger & homelessness knows no religion.
Humanity needs to be lived and not preached.
Bringing LIGHT to those in darkness, poverty, hunger, war, Infliction, riot , earthquake, etc should be the motive of those who have the resources to contribute.
♡♡♡ Once again A BIG thank you to Sir Domnic & his team as well as those sponsors who backed up this tiatr to raise resources for our MANIPUR RELIEF.
I end with all my sincere WISHES to each and every one of you reading this post .
HAPPY DIWALI TO ONE AND ALL.🪔
God bless you all

IN EXACTLY 10 DAYS FROM TODAY , OUR 4TH TRUCK LEAVES TO THE RELIEF CAMPS WITH SPECIAL GOAN CHRISTMAS SWEETS ( AND OTHER RELIEF MATERIALS).

8.11.2023. 7pm IST
In exactly 10 days from today , our 4th truck leaves to The Relief Camps with Special Goan Christmas sweets ( and other relief material).
And we are just at 2000 boxes of the set target of 10000 boxes of Cookies & Bebinca boxes.
Lots of people are asking me why Christmas sweets and not dry ration ?
Well here the link will tell you the answer.👇
A MNC company from Verna Industrial Estate , Verna Goa has been kind enough to donate a huge qty of dry ration to 500 families , for the next 6 months which started in Oct 2023.
Well most of the dry ration is always rice as that's the staple food and is easily available in entire Manipur.
Also edible oil & other basic items were given.
And another MNC company from Bangalore has almost finalized :
☆ Baby food for 1500 children ,
☆ Skimmed milk powder for 1600 families ,
☆ Flasks for 500 families ,
☆ Storage boxes for 500 families.
And we are providing relief material to both communities in equal districts of Manipur.
The suffering and the pain is in both sections of society & hunger and homelessness knows no religion, caste or creed.
We as AID workers are have been working on the ground in Manipur through the Archdiocese of Imphal and this 500 families identified in Churachandpur district were selected from more than 15 villages / relief camps.
In the coming month of November we will be providing 500 families dry ration in Imphal district and the staff is on the ground listing &  verifying the poorest of the poor.
For Diwali , 1000 sweet boxes are on the way to Imphal and due to an economic blockade we are unable to get these boxes from Guwahati to Imphal.
Quite a couple of more MNC are showing interest in providing some relief material, based on our requirements for those still in Various relief camps across Manipur as winter is just around the corner.
Already we have sent 9200 new Blankets &
Close to 2000 pcs of warm clothing is going in this 4th truck.
Most people may have forgotten The people in camps in Manipur but the situation is yet to get back to what it was.
It's taking time but surely with All our prayers Peace will return very soon.
Some lockdown or the other happens in one district or the other quite often due to so many reasons and it's the poor people who suffer.
We still require your support to raise another 8000 boxes of :
》CREAMUX Cookies @ rs 200 a box and
》REGOs Bebinca @ rs 100 a box.
It's Christmas season and it's just a little way to cheer up people who have been affected by the displacement for over 6 months and counting.
So please don't worry why we are not giving dry ration and giving Christmas sweets .
We are giving dry ration , baby food etc in the coming months and I feel more MNCs will be giving us relief items for those in Relief camps.
Christmas will be a quite affair this year for those displaced and we are only trying to bring that little extra smile on their face with the Christmas hamper.
We need to get as many as we can these Christmas Hampers of :
》CREAMUX Cookies @ rs 200 a box and
》REGOs Bebinca @ rs 100 a box.
If you require help in getting these Creamux Cookies or Regos Bebinca organized please be free to contact the nos on the poster or please whatsapp me on 8380097564.
God bless you all

EDUCATED BUT YET NOT MOTIVATED, PREFERRED FOR YEARS TO LIVE ON THE STREETS IN PANJIM CITY, INSPITE OF SUFFERING A MILD STROKE.

7.11.2023  8 pm IST
Educated but yet not motivated, preferred for years to live on the streets in Panjim city, inspite of suffering a mild stroke.
It took me 4 full years to convince him to get off the streets and live in a home and one day about 2 years back out of hunger & frustration.
Mr Anirudh Gokhale himself Said to me ” I want to come to the shelter home,  I am tired on the streets “.
The below link tells you his life story .👇
He was given Physiotherapy and little exercises and as the stroke was mild, he did not suffer much.
And today Mr Gokhale is refreshed and incharge of our biggest and most complicated men's home where he has a team with him to run this home.
Last year again he was determined to go back to nowhere and just idle his time but a little bit of hard counseling and practical picture of his past on the streets for many years and his rehabilitation improvement made him stay back.
It's difficult at times convincing and putting sense into people who have lived years on the streets about how they destroy their life on streets but that urge for alcohol , tobacco or just fast life makes them want to go back even after years of rehabilitation with all facilities.
We have now certain rules in our shelter homes.
One thing  – once any one leaves our home , we seldom take them back .
Two – we are reducing the intake of non goans as they get rehabilitated and again leave and go back to the life on the streets and come back after few months in worse conditions which really irritates me as we have to restart the rehabilitation which costs us a bomb.
Most non goans on the streets assume and feel that shelter homes are a cozy place to come, eat sleep, enjoy life , get free treatment and when season starts go to the beach side, earn, drink and then live on the streets and some shelter home will take them in during the summer & rainy season.
We have understood their mind frame very well and that's why we are more focused on the goans who are homeless, poor and suffering from mental disabilities.
We are starting Shelter homes in different states of India free of cost and all those from other states need to go back to their respective state and get rehabilitated and live in their state.
Goa Police should take this offer of ours seriously and attempt to send back those beggars and migrants living in Goa on the streets to our homes across different states.
From 1.1 2024 all our 10+ shelter homes in Goa will only accept GOANS either who are genuinely homeless, poor or suffering from all types of sickness and any disabilities.
Before I end , it's very satisfying to have got
Mr Gokhale back to being a big blessings to himself and to so many in our homes with he being the incharge and explaining to them why they should not live on the streets.
God bless you all

HAS BEEN RUNNING A CLOTHES DRIVE ( ESPECIALLY WARM CLOTHES ) TO SEND TO RELIEF CAMPS AND OTHER PLACES IN INDIA

6.11.2023. 8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA has been running a clothes drive ( especially warm clothes ) to send to relief camps and other places in India and in just 15 days the response has been overwhelming.
A small 4 min video which will explain you alot.👇
Initially people asked me ” why to pay you to take clothes ” ?
My answer : Don't pay me and don't give me the clothes.
I am not forcing no one to give me their old clothes.
But by giving away your warm clothes :
☆ 1. Some one gets warmth
☆ 2. Garbage is reduced
☆ 3. We can run more homes for the homeless with your donations.
☆ 4. The unit which is doing our laundry is giving us 50% discount on the washing, ironing, etc
and all the staff in this unit are rescued women who are getting a salary to start their life again.
☆ 5. You are decluttering your wardrobe
☆ 6. Positive energy when you open your wardrobe.
Your donation touches 3 sections of the weakest section of society.
And if you still are reluctant to give away your GOOD OLD USED clothes, then I can't do much.
Choice is yours with the reasons stated above.
Look around and see the suffering various people are going through in India , like :
◇ Non stop floods montn after month in ◇ various states,
◇ Earthquakes,
◇ Internal conflicts,
◇ Increasing poverty & homeless people.
Clothes , towels , bedsheets,  etc are always needed in these places.
We are collecting and keeping such items ready to send to so many poor people.
But the costs are not easy to bear by our NGO.
Collecting, sorting, cleaning & laundry, rent of Godowns, packaging , transporting to different state , plus labour costs at all points is why we are taking a donation along with your clothes.
With the climate change , winters are going to be more than what we expect in North India and least we can do is give warm clothes to our fellow Indians.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564
God bless you so much

RESCUES AND REACHED OUT TO THIS MAHARASHTRAIN MAN MR. SHRIKRISHNA JUST OUTSIDE GMC HOSPITAL

4.11.2023. 8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA rescues and reached out to this Maharashtrain man, Mr  ShriKrishna, just outside GMC hospital, with his leg full of worms & maggots, while many saw him in miserable state but just ignored him.
Why ?
Because it's assumed that all homeless living like him on the streets in Goa will be rescued, picked up, cleant & rehabilitated by Street Providence.
So everyone calls us.
That was something we used to do earlier.
Now we are slowly getting out / reducing the  picking up homeless from the Streets as THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT LISTENING TO OUR GENUINE DIFFICULTIES.
We have issued a letter to DGP, Goa Police almost 6 months back,  stating that from 1.1.24 we will not be in a position to pick up homeless street people due to reasons listed down in that letter .
And guess what ?
DGP Office has sent the same copy to all Police officials without replying to us.
That means no one cares & no poor lives are important.
A top current Minister in the Government of Goa, was kind enough to visited our office last month to understand our disappointments & we listed out the genuine issues.
The Minister has placed before The CM of GOA all our genuine issues STRICTLY concerning the Homeless in Goa on the streets.
If we don't get our Genuine issues sorted out by The CM of Goa , we will be forced to stop picking Homeless from the streets from 1.1.24.
We are currently only taking in / rehabilitating POOR GOANS suffering from all types disabilities before they reach the streets of Goa or genuine Goans on the streets of Goa who have some sort of relatives who request us to help in their rehabilitation.
For non Goans on the streets in Goa , we have shelter homes started in Maharashtra, Karnataka & Jharkhand where Goa Police has to repatriate these homeless non Goans back to their respective states and we will rehabilitate them, free of cost , but in Goa its going to be rehabilitation for only Goans from 1.1.2024.
There are hundreds / thousand of poor genuine Goans suffering from mental disabilities
asking / begging / pleading for rehabilitation else these hundreds / thousand will reach the streets.
Well ShriKrishna was all unclean, foul smell, weak and in total despair, on the paymnet just touching the bambolim highway,  outside GMC SUBWAY , waiting 3 to 4 days for help which never came till today at 2 pm when we arrived as Mrs Suzette Advani has been pestering me to help him.
We took our team and gave him a bath on the pavement, changed his clothes, opened his dirty filthy bandage , washed his maggot infected leg with Saline & then applied betadine.
We got 108 Ambulance to bandage his wounds and take him to casualty at GMC which they did.
And guess what , in flat 2 hours, after touch up in the casualty , Mr ShriKrishna was back on the streets.
So we took him to our shelter home late evening and got him all cleant up and we will rehabilitate & care for him.
His leg and foot is totally messed up to an extent the maggots have eaten away his flesh and only after a proper assessment at the District hospital Mapusa we will understand his parameters.
It's going to be alot of hospital trips, daily cleaning and bandaging, medication and very difficult to say if he is a psychiatric patient or not.
Totally undernourished and stressed with high blood pressure and all unhealthy symptoms.
Today rescue was a team work by our 2  rehabilitated men in the Video :
♡ Mr Altaf yellow T shirt &
♡ Mr Ashish strips T Shirt
Both of them 2 years back were in the same condition of Mr ShriKrishna on the streets crawling and in dirt.
Infact Mr Ashish was picked up from the Subway of GMC with a total fractured head.
But our rehabilitation program gets everyone back to their feet in the best of health and quite a number of these homeless men stay back to help me in reaching out to others on the streets and to care for the hundred plus men in our homes.
Today rescue was not a Favour by me or my team to Mr ShriKrishna but it's a freaking difficult and complicated SERVICE which needs daily funding and continues support from all Government departments.
God bless you all

STREET PROVIDENCE GOA IS COLLECTING SECOND HAND USED MATTRESSES

3.11.2023  8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is collecting Second hand used mattresses –
both Single & double size ,
both  king & queen size ,
right from your door step in Goa only, for the poor and the needy.
All you need to do is pay us for the transportation, labour , repairs and delivery charges to the poor person who will be given this mattresses.
Sounds Strange ?  But Why Pay ?
Well mattresses are one of the items constantly reaching the dumps or at times gets burnt.
This is leading to garbage issues at times.
So basically You are reducing the garbage issue by giving away your mattresses for the poor.
Secondly, there are very few exchange offers on one's old mattresses so the old mattresses are just burnt or dumped in unwanted places.
Third, alot of poor children or poor families can be given a little comfort by these old mattresses reaching their homes.
The biggest issue is – recycling of used old mattresses.
One of the way to recycle old good used mattresses like :
☆ Open coil mattresses
☆ Memory foam bed
☆ Hybrid foam mattresses
☆ Latex mattresses
☆ Pocket spring mattresses ,
is giving it away to an NGO like ours which then will give it away :
》to the poorest of the poor in Goa or
》to children in boarding Schools out of Goa or
》to our ever increasing no of shelter homes.
But the costs are a big concen which includes :
☆ 1.Transportation from your house + labour,
☆ 2.Storage of these 2nd hand mattresses – Rent,
☆ 3.Transportation + labour to the repair workshop,
☆ 4.Once repaired then get it back to the Storage,
☆ 5. then transportation + labour to the poor families.
Mattresses are big and bulky , so labour & hired transportation is a worrying factor.
Usually A Tempo or A Rickshaw is needed.
But when the 2nd hand mattreses reaches the poor and needy, their blessings and good wishes reaches you & your family.
I have seen hundreds of poor children especially in rural India sleep on hard wet floors in boarding due to economic conditions.
I have seen poor children in rural India going to school in torn and tattered clothes & worn out shoes carrying old and dilapidated school bags.
We are starting shelter homes across rural India in many states to rehabilitate the homeless street people with disabilities and during the setting-up of these homes which most are in villages , I see many many poor children & families and I always felt disappointed at how they live.
And here in Goa, we just dump in the garbage anything and everything without a thought of our fellow Indians living a difficult life.
Just last week, we started a clothes drive where you pay rs 5000 for 30 clothes and we come home & pick your clothes – belive me in 7 days, more than 25 families have donated their warm clothes plus paid us the donation.
Coming week we have another 50 families to pick their used clothes to give to the poor.
We are simultaneously working on a plan to collect daily 1000 kgs of cooked food from a particular section of society which throws daily more than 5000+ kgs of cooked food.
And again this section of Society giving this 1000 kgs of food daily ( of the total 5000 kgs being thrown our daily) is paying us to take this food and to feed 3000 meals daily across Goa.
Else it reaches the bins.
We need resources daily to do what we do BEST.
Our NGO works at the ground level both in :
◇ GOA,
Across India &
( may be very soon out of India )

◇ Feeding the hungry ,
◇ Clothing the naked,
◇ Sheltering the homeless,
◇ Caring for the sick,
◇ Building homes for the displaced ,
◇ Organizing relief for the displaced ,
◇ Providing medication for the poorest of the poor.
But it's all about raising resources and doing these difficult , complicated & not so admired services ( as not many volunteer for these above free of cost services ).
So before you feel we are collecting a donation to take away your used clothed or your used mattresses, please read the post from the start again and slowly.
You can still decide how, where or why to dispose of your old Second hand mattresses.
The choices are yours but we are waiting to help you.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages on 8380097564.
God bless you all

HELP US RAISE 9000 MORE CHRISTMAS BOXES FOR THOSE IN RELIEF CAMPS IN THE NEXT 16 DAYS.

1.11.2023. 8Pm IST
Help us raise 9000 more Christmas Boxes for those in relief Camps in the next 16 days.
With Christmas festival round the corner exactly in 55 days from today let's bring that little extra joy to those displaced due to the conflict.
Our post on 25.10 2023 , 👇
As of today we have got  1000 boxes donations of the targeted 10000 boxes.
We understand there is a little of ” why give sweets from Goa ? “. “Why not basic ration “.
Well as of October , we are currently giving every ration to 500 families starting from October 23 to March 24 , valued at rs 20 lacs which covers both communities in camps.
Sweets boxes are just to bring that extra joy .
Infact for Diwali festival,  sweet boxes of one type are on the way which will reach Imphal latest by the 8th November and our one Volunteer will be in Imphal to distribute these Diwali sweet boxes.
A Festival is that only time where the Spirit of Joy and happiness comes ALIVE  &  in relief camps currently its only about DESPAIR & DISAPPOINTMENT with nothing to look forward too.
( As I write this post , tomorrow there is a shutdown again in some parts of Manipur.)
You can play that little part As Santa by supporting this Christmas hamper which leaves Goa in our 4th truck being flagged off by
The Archbishop of Manipur on 18.11.23.
We understand that buying the Christmas cookies from CREAMUX & Bebinca from REGO FOODS is a logistical issue to our benefactors, but we wish to stick to one brand and one packing to avoid confusion while packing as well as distribution in the camps.
We have a list of few of our volunteers who you can call incase you require help in donating these Christmas Hampers.
Christmas in Goa is always celebrated in a big way and I know it's too early for the excitement, but due to logistical and transportation issues we need to get these hampers by 1st December into the camps .
We are HUMBLY requesting for support to raise 9000 hampers @ just rs 300 a hamper ie
[ 1 cookie box Rs 200 & 1 Bebinca Rs 100 ]
as attached in the post.
God bless you so much

REV. FR. DOMNIC LUMON DD, THE ARCHBISHOP OF MANIPUR WILL BE IN GOA FOR THREE DAYS, SPECIFICALLY TO EXTEND HIS THANKSGIVING TO THE PEOPLE OF GOA

30.10.2023. 7pm IST
The Archbishop of Imphal, His Excellency, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD, is visiting Goa, and together with the people of Goa, will express gratitude to God for the restoration of peace in Manipur as well as to thank God for peace in the middle east.
This expression of thanks will be conveyed through celebration of  Holy Mass scheduled for
November 18, 19 & 20th , 2023
Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD, the Archbishop of Manipur, will be in Goa for three day, specifically to extend his thanks to the people of Goa for their support in providing relief materials to the people of Manipur.
At the age of 75 and nearing retirement, Archbishop Rev. Father Domnic Lumon DD accepted our invitation to visit Goa for a 3 days visit.
Over the past few months, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD has faced numerous challenges as he acted as a Good Shepherd for the displaced and vulnerable people in relief camps.
These challenges include his hearing impairment and advancing age.
Nevertheless, Archbishop Rev. Father Domnic Lumon DD has continued to lead with dedication and resolve during these last six months.
Our NGO received an official letter from the Archbishop of Imphal on June 26, 2023, requesting aid for the displaced people, including sending trucks from Goa with materials that were not readily available in Manipur during the conflict.
Our organization, Street Providence, has honored the commitment made on June 26, 2023, to the Archbishop of Imphal.
As of October 20, 2023, benefactors from Goa have contributed over Rs 1.25 crores in aid, and more support is on the way.
The itinerary for the Archbishop of Imphal during his visit to Goa is as follows:
November 17 , 2023: Arrival in Goa in the evening

☆ November 18, 2023: Blessing of the 4th relief truck at 10 am @ St Francis Xavier church Duler

☆ November 18, 2023: Blessing of our 10th shelter home at 11 am @ FMCK , Candolim.

As this marks his final official journey outside of Manipur in his capacity as the Archbishop of Imphal, with the new Archbishop assuming office on December 8th , 2023, let's come together to ensure that his visit to Goa is a cherished and spiritually enriching experience.
It's a challenging task for most of us to comprehend the responsibilities he bears at his age, particularly over the last six months.
Nevertheless, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD has admirably fulfilled his role as an Archbishop and a Shepherd.
Archbishop Domnic Lumon humorously mentions that “DD” stands for “DARE to DELIVER.”

The last visit of the Archbishop of Imphal to Goa was many many years ago, and this presents a unique opportunity for the people of Goa to extend their warm hospitality and affection to this remarkable individual who, despite his age, remains youthful in heart and mind before his retirement.
