MAKING A MEANINGFUL IMPACT IN MANIPUR : OUR PRESENCE AND SUPPORT
Street Providence Trust is dedicated to providing assistance to the individuals in Manipur who have been affected by the ongoing violence. Our presence has been established in the five most heavily impacted districts. We are actively delivering essential food and medical supplies to those in need, currently residing in relief camps.
To support this cause, we have reached out to kind-hearted benefactors, requesting generous donations. The response has been incredibly rewarding.
As of June 24, 2023, we successfully dispatched a shipment of generic medicines worth Rs. One Lakh which is the equivalent of Rs. Five Lakhs of allopathic Medicines.
On June 23, 2023, we dispatched vital groceries, including rice, green peas, and cooking oil, worth Rs. 100,000 . But the request for more food grains keep pouring in and on June 26th, 2023, a truck carrying 13 tons of rice, dal, potatoes and onions, costing Rs.5,36,000/- is on its way to Imphal, Manipur for distribution to 6 Relief Camps where our volunteers are stationed.
However, there is still much more to be accomplished for the people of Manipur in the days ahead. We humbly appeal for your assistance.
Street Providence is a registered Trust recognized by the Income Tax Department. All donations made to our cause are eligible for a rebate under section 80-G.
In addition, we have provided a temporary refuge for individuals escaping the violence. Affected families arriving in Goa will find shelter in a welcoming Shelter Home, graciously provided by the Franciscan Sisters of Christ the King (FMCK).
