SO MUCH PAIN, SICKNESS , SUFFERING IN THESE WOMENS WHO ARE FROM THE STREETS OR WHO ARE POOR , ABANDONED & SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES

23.8.23 7Pm IST
A compassionate Police Sub inspector @ old Goa, Miss Laureen Sequeira , who wanted to admitt into our home a run way girl two months back.
A run away unwed girl from 3000kms admitted into our home.
( Two months earlier)
A delivery which almost almost rattled my bones late night.
( two months later )
A surprise visit by A Bishop to the girl on her discharge telling her GOD STILL LOVES YOU inspite of the mistake.
Last 15 days at our shelter homes were difficult and still difficult especially in the women shelter Homes.
So much pain, sickness , suffering in these women who are from the streets or who are poor , abandoned & suffering from mental disabilities.
Most of the adminissions of the homeless are through the police and sickness is like credit cards in your purse , so much of sickness in each of the homeless.
☆ Case no 1:
A poor unwed young girl who travelled 3000 kms brought by Goa Police who was 7 months pregnant about 2 months ago , was keeping us all on our toes.
The lady PSI Laureen Sequeira was the 1st person who brought hope to the unwed mother.
This was our original post 👇
About 10 days back went into labour pain and our team had alot to do.
Got her admitted into a good private hospital and we had to keep 2 trained home nurses with her as she had a normal delivey but sudden bleeding issues which kept us all anxious.
Said a silent prayer telling God ” we had enough of trouble last 2 months can u please look into the matter and give us some peace, we are all overloaded “.  [ KOT ].
Bleeding stopped and blood was not required as we were earlier put on high alert for 2 pints of blood.
Networked with CWC, got the paperwork done and sent the mother & Child to the  designated shelter home for further stay.
We could have used the Government hospital but the mother wanted to just move away in life at any cost.
Usually we at times read or hear how small new born babies are abandoned.
And immediately we condemn the mother for being so heartless.
But how many of us actually know the freaking stress the women goes through while carrying an unwanted child ?
And most of these poor women don't know the process of getting such babies to registered homes for such babies.
Well 2 months back we had assured this young girl that we will stand by her and give her all the support she needs during her pregnancy  and also after she delivers.
And that's what we did.
Infact the hospital has given us credit and told us YOU CAN PAY THE BILL LATER.
The entire two months our manger Mr Sapnesh Salgaonkar provided the best care and himself ran around those crucial 5 days in the hospital to see that the young girl was at ease.
Frankly speaking I am yet to meet or even speak to the girl.
Bishop Theodore was on a personal visit to Goa & I briefed him about the matter and he volunteered to comfort the girl as she starts life afresh.
Usually such cases are looked down upon but Bishop Theodore took time from his personal visit to Goa, dropped in and prayed.
Very touching real life event which can be verified by anyone if needed.
☆ Case 2 :
Fatorda Police about 6 months back late night brings a  goan lady from the streets of Fatorda to our home.
Girl is so sick and having so much complications that we also don't know how to solve her issues.
Blood transfusion is what she requires and we have had this done 3 times at the District hospital Mapusa for which I must appreciate the District hospital for caring and treating this goan lady even though she is homeless.
The lady comes from a very rich family in SANCOALE but the mother refuses to accept her as her daughter, due to past issues.
Their house is like 2 to 3 Crores worth.
Now she has developed BONE MARROW issues and daily we are running around in GMC for all tests and treatment.
Plus she is suffering from mental disabilities and very very stubborn and irritating.
But she is a human and we have to care for her.
☆ Case 3 :
A poor Goan aged girl suffering from mental disabilities admitted by her married sisters who themselves are poor & struggling hand to mouth, developed TB and has a wound which requires daily dressing at the district hospital.
And last 30 days we are daily doing this dressing fron the shelter home in Guirim to District Hospital Mapusa.
When admitted was totally underweight.
These are the services we provide daily for the last 6 years at our shelter homes.
Sometimes it's crazy and disappointing.
I don't know at times whether to keep the homes open or just close and go back to my sales job.
So many requests , so many admissions piled up, so much pain, sorrow, disappointing families approach us daily.
Last 15 days we had 2 drivers down with fever & sore eyes, truck to Manipur was planned, sore eyes in one shelter home which had to contain, office staff got sick.
STORMS & STORMS,  but we sit still, till it passes, we never fight the STORM but we call out to GOD to navigate through the STORM
[ KOT ].
WE DARE TO DREAM in all situations & circumstances.

WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASSOCIATE WITH AMAZON WHO DONATED 300 FLOOD RELIEF KITS WITH DONATEKART AS IMPACT PARTNER

22.8.23. 10am IST
The 1st truck which left Goa for Churachandpur Manipur has completed the 2nd leg of the journey and reached safely Aizawl, Mizoram.
16th the truck left Goa 11am
20th the truck reached Guwahati 5pm
22nd smaller truck reached Aizawl 8am.
♡♡♡ Thanks to so many people who have prayed and blessed this truck, especially Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao who blessed the truck.
Now the 3rd leg , the difficult & complicated .
We not only work in Manipur for those who might not be aware of our NGO but we work also in Goa and we continously are doing relief work be it in food, rehabilitation or flood relief last 5 years + in Goa as well as the Kerala floods of 2018 , where we sent 13 truck loads of relief material.
Last month Goa saw alot of rainfall.
We had the opportunity to associate with AMAZON who donated 300 flood relief kits with
DONATEKART as Impact partner.
It took a little time to get these 300 kits across to the most affected poor goan across Goa but we did what was needed- Relief to those affected
We sent the kits to these areas :
☆ Canacona Taluka
☆ Benaulim/ margao
☆ Mayem constituency
☆ Sanguem Taluka
☆ Bicholim city
☆ Porvorim – Sanjay school for children with disabilities.
》In Canacona our Volunteer Mrs Sharon & Arturo D'souza did the distribution along witb dry ration kits.
》In Margao / Benaulim our volunteer Mr John Baptist did the distribution.
》In Porvorim,  Sanjay School for children with Disabilities we requested Disabilitiy Commissioner Mr Pawaskar to do the needful to the poor children whose homes got affected by the rains.
》At Mayem , Local MLA Mr P Shet was kind enough to go house to house and hand over these kits to the most affected families witn our volunteers.
》At Sanguem , Minister Subhash Phal Dessai was entrusted to give these kits along with our volunteers.
》At Bicholim, Adv Gawas and Bicholim Dysp Mr Ekoskar distributed 40 such kits to the poorest of the poor where Adv Gawas has been also giving dry ration kits.
》10 kits our manager Sapnesh distributed to poor goan families situated close to our shelter homes where the rain water caused minor damages to these houses.
We feel humbled that AMAZON & DONATEKART gave us an opportunity to provide flood relief aid in Goa to the poorest of the poor.
Logistics is an important issue in any relief work undertaken followed by paperwork and accounting .
We are very strong in logistics and that's the reason we are last 2 months working in a big way in MANIPUR.
Wherever there is hunger, homelessness, relief, disabilities , abandonment, elderly people, unwed mothers,  etc WE ARE THERE standing ready to help with our Trustees , staff , Numerous silent volunteers, CSR partners & benefactors.
Very soon we will be working in a big way in Mizoram & Jharkhand with relief towards the poor & displaced.
Your support is what drives us in so many projects not only in Goa but also outside Goa.
All querries strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564 .

OUR 1st TRUCK FROM GOA WITH RELIEF MATERIALS TOWARDS MANIPUR HAD LEFT GOA ON 16th AT 11am AND REACHED SAFELY GUWAHATI , ASSAM

20.8.2023. 7Pm IST
Our 1st truck from Goa with relief material towards Manipur had left Goa on 16th at 11am and reached safely Guwahati , Assam today at 5pm , without any troubles or breakdown in record time of 4 days covering 2800 kms.
1st leg of this consignment completed today.
Attached picture of the truck at Guwahati
♡♡♡ I thank all of you for praying to GOD for the safety of THIS truck from Goa as well as Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao for blessings this truck.
God is alive and he lives some where , but I know he listens to me daily in my work towards the poor and the needy.
So I conclude ” GOD DWELLS IN THE POOR “
Today I was at Navelim church for all the 4 holy masses and at the 2nd Holy Mass , the young father in his sermon asked / spoke / explained where is God.
At the same time in Navelim church I was thanking GOD that this truck reaches safely.
At 5 pm this evening the driver informs our manager Mr Sapnesh that the truck has reached Guwahati and it's being offloaded into a warehouse and tomorrow it will be reloaded into a 9 ton truck to proceed to Aizawl Mizoram.
And immediately my mind thought about ” cost of this truck to mizoram ” as it was despatched on credit and I will need to pay the transport company.
At 6 pm I told my wife ” I am telling & told GOD , pls send me Rs ××× Lacs as donations to pay the truck which has now reached Guwahati and in 2 to 3 days it will reach Aizawl “.
At 7.10 pm , through a whatsapp message , one of our regular benefactor for over many years confirms a donation close to the equivalent cost which the transport company will be raising the bill.
Attached snap shot of what how GOD got me the transportation bill through a donation.
I inquire with the benefactor ” why did u give a donation for this fixed amount which is close to equivalent of this truck ? And why did u give it today ?”.
Benefactor says ” last 15 days I made up my mind to give you this donation of this amount “.
And practically on 1st of August the transport company had told me the approximate figure it would cost me to send a truck from Goa to Mizoram.
☆☆ GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, &
ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD ☆☆
Since the relief work is for the poorest of the poor, irrespective of which community, GOD knows how to take care of his children.
My job has always been to plant many many seeds at one time but it's GODs job to get the fruit.
Seeds have to be planted in the right season, in the right time and watered and cared for.
GOD has to provide the fruit.
Simultaneously just 2 days back a whatsapp message was on my phone saying ” I want to give you a donation and my parent also wants to give you a donation but my parent is very old “.
So I drove to this home which is one way 50 kms and the parent was not OLD but VERY VERY OLD may be 90+ years.
The child gave me the donation and the parent too gave me the donation but Said something very touching ” I closed my account and all this is for the poor in Manipur , I don't need this anymore as I am too old “.
Usually old or very old people don't part with all their savings and that too giving away to an NGO who they are seeing only on Social media.
At the time of finishing the conversation, I tried to shake hands with the VERY VERY old parent but the parent said ” take my blessings ” and blessed me and surely Said one prayer for me .
These small acts of kindness / blessings / prayers are VERY important to me as its not easy raising resources – forget Manipur , Even to run our 9 Shelter homes where we care for 170 + homeless people & people with severe mental disabilities.
GOD & ONLY GOD is the answer.
Irrespective of how a few % of people judge me or condemn me , GRACE OF GOD is what matters the most.
I am human and have my faults and I commit mistakes but GOD is a loving GOD and he knows the HEART.
Many times I tell people ” I give GOD the K.O.T , rest GOD delivers ” when I am asked ” how do you manage so many projects “.
Nothing is run by me nor I am not the boss of Street Providence.
GOD is the boss, I am the servant.
Our 2nd truck from Goa will leave in 2nd week of September depending on the weather forecast & Surely I will be sending my K.O.T to GOD to get a benefactor to foot the transportation bill of the 2nd truck from Goa.
Incase you reading this post & in the next few days feel that God is talking to you about this bill please listen to God.
We operate strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564
God bless you all

HAS BEEN SUPPORTING NUMEROUS POOR FAMILIES ACROSS GOA WITH DRY RATION OVER A PERIOD OF 4 YEARS

19.8.23. 7pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA has been supporting numerous poor families across Goa with dry ration over a period of 4 years to the best ability that we can afford
The above link will explain you life of the poor and elderly who have no one to support them.☝️
This post is about our Volunteer Mrs Sharon Soares from Canacona.
Last 3 years our NGO ie Street Providence has been taking care of numerous poor ethnic goan families across 7 villages in Canacona.
We have been consistently providing for dry ration kits @ Rs 1000 per kit to 25 families, sometimes even 35 families.
Very poor and sad state of each and every one of these families.
Sharon has been taking care of the delivey & the logistics of the monthly dry ration which is prepacked and at times she even delivers a few families at their door step.
These families are based right from Agonda to Galgibaga and both communities are given this free dry ration.
A few families have been provided new electricity connection which the NGO has borne the costs.
All major festivals, new clothes are at times given to all these families.
Small small requests for expenses are considered.
Couple of these families were provided free gas cylinders and new stoves last year as they were still cooking on wood due to no valid documents to acquire a gas connection.
All goes through Sharon and she scrutinizes each and every family.
Most of these 25 -35 poor families are either : having some sick member in their family,
Only the old lady is in the small house ,
Or only husband & wife alone
Etc
Some of these families are only depending on the dry ration that Sharon provides.
Few of these families if you see with your eyes will make you wonder ” Does poverty exist in Goa ? “.
And we have numerous such volunteers across different parts of Goa who network with our NGO & Work with hundreds of such poor families either through dry ration or through our Food bank fridges.
Two weeks back , Our Volunteer Mr Arturo Dsouza from Santa Cruz Goa went to Canacona along with Sharon and they distributed 50 flood relief kits along with 35 dry ration kits to these families.
Arturo  could not believe his eyes what he saw and how poor goans are living & yet the question ” are there any poor goans living in Goa” ?
The video & the above link will explain you how the poor Goan people are currently living right here in Goa.
This post is not for criticism towards anyone but it's to open our own eyes and see how best each one can help another poor Goan family when the system fails the poorest of the poor.
Criticism does not bring any relief to the poor but that same energy if put to use in a constructive manner fills the stomach of the poor.
And that's what we do @ Street Providence be it Goa, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Manipur – we fill in the gaps towards the poor & hungry , the homeless, the people with Disabilities , those in relief camps, the widows, the old & infirmed, etc.
We draw the attention of the administration by filling in the gaps towards the poor and putting something on their plate, a roof on their head,  a hand to hold , a handkerchief to wipe that tear , a home to live in incase family abandoned them, etc.
All our 15 different types operations @ Street Providence is a TEAM based effort with many many volunteers and staff in different roles playing their little part which they do with COMMITMENT & WHOLE HEARTEDLY.
It's about SERVICE & not a Favour.
One question most of you will have in mind ie
” how does one raise the resources? “.
Well its the Grace of God & as well the generous benefactors who stand with our NGO in our work last 6 years across so many projects.
God knows whom to send to help me when I need the finances.
Right seeds sown in the right season with the clean intentions will and has to always bring and bear FRUITS.
The same anount of work & effort what we put in in Manipur is equally put in Goa also .
Only difference is the teams are different.
Problem are the same – POVERTY
God bless you all

MOVING FOOD GRAINS ACROSS DISTRICTS IN MANIPUR IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT, RISKY AND NERVE WRECKING

18.8.23. 8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA had paid in Imphal on 2.8.23 for dry ration a truck load of 17000 kgs which only reached the final destination on 7.8.2023.
This was the post that I had uploaded on 2.8.23👇 when the truck left IMPHAL for Chandel district along with the picture of the truck.
Logistics and moving of anything and everything is really a big hurdle with endless strikes, bandhs, road blocks,  etc.
Having paid & sent 5 consignments of food grains  purchased in the North East itself I am aware of how long these food grains actually take to reach the camps and the poor displaced villages
Moving food grains across districts in Manipur is very very difficult, risky and nerve wrecking.
Everywhere local chiefs are kept informed well in advance so as to move freely and safely.
This particular consignment went in a big truck with 30 tonnes of food items of which we had paid for 17 tonnes.
The entire truck moved the full consignment into a particular church for storage and then in smaller 407 tempos, these smaller lots were then moved into various villages situated in Chandel District.
One such truck broke down in transit to the villages and the food grains had to be loaded onto another truck at night.
This is the areas where our 4th consignment of 17 tonnes food grains were distributed:
☆☆ Beneficiary Area :  KANA AREA, Chandel District
Distribution done by:
Parish Pastoral Council, Assumption Parish, Kholian ,
in COLLABORATION with :
Kuki Inpi Chandel District,
Kuki Students Organisation (KSO),
Zou Students Organisation (ZSO),
Kuki Chiefs Association (KCA) Kana Area
Given to:
🌿3 Relief Camps in Kana Area
🌿 85 poorest families across 52 villages in Kana Area

Total of 505 families benefited from the items.
We always upload all minute details of the work we do in Manipur and Even the details of each of the 505 families will be in documented.
That is how relief work is done by our NGO.
One such truck had a major breakdown and they had to move the stock into another truck at night.👇
Relief work often happens under the cover of darkness as u draw less attention.
We @ Street Providence make sure that our relief material reaches the predetermined destination irrespective of the time delay or any other issues.
I am very strict and particular in taking accountability from the local support team in Manipur.
Things on the ground are very very slowly getting back to normalcy  but it's really hit the poorest of the poor in a big way.
No source of income , fright,  uncertainty, no purchasing power are how most of those in relief camps live at the moment.
It's almost 3 months and counting but the next 6 months will be the time to stand with those affected as they need to rebuild from scratch.
Your support keeps the relief work going on in Manipur.
We are going to be working in Manipur for another 6 months to one year with relief material being our focus towards the poor and marginalised.
All queries , suggestions,  views and discussions strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you so much

OUR SHELTER HOMES INMATES PRAYS FOR THE SOUL OF LATE MRS FATIMA D’SOUZA

17.8.23  10am IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA shelter home inmates prays for the soul of Late Mrs Fatima D'souza , wife of Mr Lawrence D' souza , Ret SP @ Goa Police.
♡♡♡ Late Mrs Fatima D'Souza was our unseen and behind the scene benefactor & volunteer.
I have never ever met her which is the most disappointing part but for the last 3 years every month Late Fatima would buy us dry ration and keep at a particular shop and whatsapp the bill.
Every month without fail .
Late Fatima never ever called me on the phone prior to just last week.
I know Sir Lawrence Dsouza, Retd SP,  for over 27 years and during the last few years before he retired we have worked together for the homeless.
A few months back I saw Late Fatima DP which had her husband picture along with her and that's the time I realized that Late Fatima is Sir Lawrence's  wife.
I whatsapp her and she replied ” please don't inform my husband about my support to your NGO as its best to keep it to ourselves “.
What my left hand gives my right hand should not know was her reply.
And it remained a secret until now.
And I am sure she had been helping quietly many such homes like ours monthly as that was her passion.
She had recommended many benefactors to us and these benefactors are still supporting our NGO.
Just a few days back,  Late Fatima had shared her desire to go to Manipur and for the 1st time we spoke on the phone.
Late Fatima's desire to stay in the camps for a few days was very strong and we decided that we can plan for the future as Sir Lawrence mother is currently unwell and Her presence is much more needed in Goa.
She understood and I disconnected the call.
This was just few days back conversation.
And now I am assured that Late Fatima is in heaven with the creator as God had different plans which most of us will never ever understand.
One thing I can conclude inspite of i never  meeting here ” her heart was towards the poor , the homeless, the orphans , the destitudes, the abandoned women “.
She would faithfully read my long posts and share it with her friends and family.
It's was shocking to hear yesterday morning about her passing away.
SURELY HER SOUL IS RESTING IN PEACE.
We @ Street Providence share in the grief of the entire family and pray that God gives them the strength to go forward as Late Fatima was full of life and joy.
Not easy to go on being a benefactor month after month,  year after year , without meeting us on the other side but only keeping track of our work through Social media.
Till we meet again FATIMA , you will be missed.
God bless you all

SENDS THE 1st TRUCK FROM GOA TO MANIPUR WITH RELIEF MATERIALS NOT EASILY AVAILABLE IN MANIPUR

16.8.2023  7Pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA sends the 1st truck from Goa to Manipur with relief material not easily available in Manipur as of today.

☆ ( 5 other consignments have already gone either from Assam , Nagaland or from Manipur itself )
OUR CARDINAL,  REV Fr FILIPE NERI FERRAO was kind enough to drive down to St Diogo Church , Guirim at 10am this morning and bless this truck as it left today for Guwahati.
Our Volunteer Sir Bosco George IPS Retd flagged off this truck.
♡♡♡ We thank DELHIVERY Transport  Company for a fantastic discount towards this truck going to Mizoram as the final destination.
The truck is containing about 12 tonnes of material valued at Rs 18 lacs and has alot of items which was specifically requested to our NGO by DSSS which is a social & relief unit under The Archdiocese of Imphal .
This entire consignment is going strictly to CHURACHANDPUR district in Manipur via Aizawl.
The truck Is containing all these items which are  new and bought by our NGO & well wishers  :
》Cerelac & lactogen 38 crts
》Organic sanitary pads 3800
》500 new sleeping mats
》500 new bedsheets
》500 new mosquito nets
》Note books & stationary for 250 children
》Close to Rs 2 lacs worth of innerwear
In addition We also have sent alot of items which we had  collected through our 19 collection centre's across Goa & also through a drive held at Aldona Institute on Sunday.
All items have been packed product wise in boxes, counted and all specifications listed down on each box by our staff &  the homeless people who stay in our shelter homes.
In total more than 400 crts & plastic bags have been loaded into this double axel truck going 4000 kms One way from Goa to Aizawl.
As of today our 2nd team has left Aizawl for Goa after spending 4 days understanding how and through what way help can go into CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT which is bordering Mizoram.
The team is now at Calcutta Airport, returning back to Goa,  while our truck has left for Aizawl enroute through Guwahati
Relief is about proper planning, logistics, transportation, etc.
Very soon the 3rd team will be to Aizawl & Churachandpur overseeing to the distribution of this truck in various camps, where we have been asked to help with these items,  by DSSS.
After spending 4 days in Mizoram by our team , the reports are very disturbing and sad as huge no. of rural Camps are not getting much help due to slush , rains , bad roads , etc.
It's 3 months to date and everyone is getting physically tired and stressed especially aid workers.
The cries for help especially for infant food for babies and for basic health care towards  women in the camps is beyond ones understanding.
The road for those in the camps are long and too much of uncertainty.
The fevour is reducing as well as donations are slowing down as everyone has got other priority in life now after 3 months.
But now starts the agony and pain in the camps and we @ Street Providence Goa have assured The DSSS @ The Archdiocese of Imphal that we will attempt to send medicines and as much relief as possible for the next 6 months.
Street Providence is also focusing on education in Manipur for over 300 children who are displaced and DSSS has admitted these children in different Schools.
Each child's education is Rs 40000 a year and the the entire list of these 300 children has been given to our NGO by DSSS @ The Archdiocese of Imphal.
Street Providence Goa is like the official representative of DSSS in Goa as we the only NGO from Goa non religious / political working on the ground in Manipur last 2 months.
We were the 1st lay persons NGO from Goa  to send dry ration into Manipur purchased locally
We were the 1st lay person NGO from Goa to send 2 teams into Manipur & Mizoram
Now we are the 1st lay person NGO to send a truck with relief material  ( not freely available in Manipur) to Aizawl destined for Churachandpur, Manipur.
There will be more trucks sent from Goa with relief material primary focus being on Cerelac & lactogen, etc.
♡♡♡ We thank Sir BOSCO GEORGE ( IPS ) Retd DIG , for taking charge of our entire logistical issues both in Manipur & Mizoram.
Infact Sir Bosco George , has connected our team to the DIG of Mizoram, Sir Silo as well to  our fellow Goan IAS officer Mr Prasana Acharya who is based in Mizoram.
We are also aware that The DGP of Manipur & The ADC to the Governor of Manipur are aware of our relief work in Manipur only because of Sir Bosco George & I am assured that very soon other Government agencies will be supporting our work in Manipur as we Have Sir Bosco George as our full fledged on the ground  volunteer.
Relief work = team work. No one man show.
Please do support us through your donations and let's all thank God that this truck has reached the destiny safely and on time.

ON THE TWIN OCCASIONS OF JOY AND HAPPINESS WE ARE RUNNING 5 PROJECTS SIDE BY SIDE IN 4 DIFFERENT STATES

15.8.2023. 11am IST
♡♡♡ A very Happy Independence day & A Happy Feast Feast of Assumption of Our Blessed Mother Mary.
On the twin occasions of joy and happiness besides being a public holiday we are running 5 projects side by side in 4 different states of Goa, Jharkhand , Mizoram & Manipur.
Today
☆ 1. At Bicholim police station 40 poor families affected by the recent rains in Goa were given flood relief kits.

☆ 2. At Sanjay school Porvorim 50 children with disabilities whose families were affected by the rains were given flood relief kits .

☆ 3. Flavored milk 231 crts are being distributed in poor areas where people with HIV & TB are living below poverty line in South Goa.

☆ 4. One team is in Mizoram providing some relief material in The camps bordering Manipur

☆ 5. A huge truck with relief material is being loaded today for Churachandpur , Manipur leaving tomorrow Goa.

☆ 6. We are in the process of distributing huge no of noodles to poor people in different places in Goa.

☆ 7. And I am not sure where else supplies are happening on our NGO behalf.
But belive me daily i keep alot of volunteers & staff on their toes by doing something for the poor either by ourselves or by taking help of other NGO.
But this post is about Jharkhand and below is the link 👇
Street Providence,  Daltonganj, Jharkhand donated 1200 new note books to the children of St Julie Middle School, Gerenja. JHARKHAND on the occassion of India Independence day.
Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas was kind enough to be present and hand over these new note books to 400 poor children in this School.
Our MENs Shelter Home @ Bhusar and this School is very very close and quite often when I  have been to the shelter home I have passed by as well as dropped into the school to understand how I can be off help to these students.
Most of the children are from poor or rather impoverished families, where even to pay the School fees becomes very difficult.
Second most of these children are from remote villages and traveling to school up and down is next to impossible.
There are 2 boarding hostels for girls and boys in the vicinity of the School and close to 150 of this school childen stay in these hostels, again food, clothing and shelter is required to be paid for by these children.
These 1200 note books were donated by 2 benefactors towards this school.
Life in rural India as compared to Goa is a big big difference.
We @ Street Providence Goa are looking to help St Julie Middle School, Gerenja. JHARKHAND in many many ways.
Very soon we are sending 400 pcs each of water bottles, tiffin boxes , children shoes ( most children here I have seen come bare feet or with torn shoes to school) , compass boxes, School bags , etc all which is being collected at a particular school in Goa from students who have excess of the previous year.
And once your mind is aligned to poverty, hunger, homelessness, education , nutrition you automatically reach such places and such issues which makes me wonder ” GOA is The Best.”
Yes we need to highlight the failure of the administration but that 50% energy if we put into doing where the system has failed, then so many lives are benefitted.
One example I want to share:
For Many many years since I was in college I saw old abandoned Street people especially ladies on streets and bus stops.
It irritated and troubled me for years till I started the NGO.
We addressed the problem and did not move away from the problem.
Today We run 5 women shelter Homes in Goa for homeless women and got the government to help these homes.
Yes they may be homeless ladies on the streets, but we are the solution to the problem and today the Goa Police brings such homeless people to our homes.
We @ Street Providence address the problems be it hunger , homelessness, relief work in camps, education towards the children in rural India , rehabilitation of the people with Disabilities, food banks etc through our services and our work.
We use social media to get help to the projects we run.
Condemning the government for everything does not bring any relief to the poorest of the poor but once the work is done which the government was to do, then that gets the government moving.
For St Julie school in Jharkhand, we can work together to provide them so many basic small necessities starting from school fees & boarding fees to painting their school and the boarding hostels to providing new mats , new bedsheets, new towels, monthly grocery provisions, education material like stationary items.
Winter is approaching across North India and NEW CHILDREN BLANKETS can be one way to help them.
One can also visit the school in Jharkhand and see for one self how one would like or one can help these poor school children to get a little better facilities focus being their education .
No one understands hunger, education & poverty like we do and we try to help the little we can by addressing these problems

I AM VERY TOUCHED WITH SO MUCH OF HELP POURING IN TOWARDS OUR WORK IN MANIPUR

14.8.2023. 10 am IST
Goans are beginning to understand that the only way to help Manipur inflicted poor people is through donations and prayers.
I Am very touched with so much of help pouring in towards our work in Manipur and here are two instances of how simple Goan people without doubting the integrity of our NGO have come with innovative ideas to support our NGO.
♡ 1. Today Fr Francisco Miranda from chaplain of Our Lady of Candelaria Chapel , BAGA – CALANGUTE is celebrating his 50 years of priesthood and being a senior citizen he has so much of passion for the poor and underprivileged that he insisted that his gift for his anniversary should be donated in kind to the Manipur Relief Camps.
The committee headed by Mr Lawrence and team were more than supportive of this suggestion and got in touch with us as we are the only agency in Goa working directly on the ground inside Manipur.
On behalf of the Golden jubilee Priest, Fr Miranda, the entire committee bought new and paid for :
☆ 500 new bedsheets
☆ 500 new sleeping mats &
☆ A substantial quantity of ladies inner wear.
I am assured that the silent cries from the Manipur Relief Camps has touched Fr Miranda heart which made him insist that his presents / gifts / donations which were for his 50th priesthood anniversary should go to Manipur relief camps.
♡ 2. A senior citizen celebrates her 80th birthday and informs me well in advance of this box which is attached with this post.
Her invitation is also printed ” NO PRESENTS PLEASE but DONATION towards STREET PROVIDENCE in this box which was kept at the venue of her celebration.
This senior citizen is our benefactors from the time our NGO started and her entire family is supporting our NGO.
I assumed that there will be some small change dropped in the box. I was wrong .
Day of the function I could not make it but next day I picked up the box.
The small change was not there but there was much much more than I could ever believe & I updated the senior citizen of the total as most was in Cheques drawn on Street Providence.
And as I write this post, the senior citizen has again blessed us today with her own donation.
And these are very touching instances which make me belive that YES there are many many senior citizens inspite of their age or ideas yet they want to help the poorest of the poor.
And these many many senior citizen benefactors do all their correspondence through whatsapp messages only.
As an impatient man which is my drawback, the senior citizens which are our major benefactors are so loving and patient that they follow all instructions as surely they know that I am running low on patience.
I have done a study on people who whatsapp their queries and doubts.
And those who take the trouble to type that whatsapp messages have ended up being our benefactors as and when they want to donate, they donate quietly and these benefactors never ever call or disturb me for unwanted queries.
The birthday lady box donations was used to partly purchase 4 tonnes of dry ration on the last truck which we sent consisting of 17 tonnes as part of our 5th consignment.
People in relief camps Manipur who are displaced requires your support and we are putting in alot of effort to bring that smile on their face.
Relief work in camps across Manipur is not easy task as the logistics is nerve wrecking and it's all about PLANNING & PATIENCE.
Its a long long road to normalcy in Manipur and the sad part is UNCERTAINTY of many in the camps.
Incase you are planning a function in the next 6 months do keep in mind to give something to the poor displaced people in Manipur.
You can also use the box as seen in this post and get your friends and relatives to be part of the lives of so many poor displaced people in the camps in Manipur.
With no offense to all our benefactors , these two touching instances was needed to be highlighted as both these instances are goans who are senior senior citizens and it's not easy for senior citizens to belive everything that they read through social media about our NGO and the work we do.
With numerous non stop inter related and inter state relief work and free services happening everyday at our NGO at times I too wonder and think ” how Is this all really happening “, so one can imagine what and how public following our work must be thinking.
Yes we DARE TO DREAM & we are not doing anyone a Favour in any of our projects.
WE ARE DOING A SERVICE as that's our calling.
