ATTEMPTING TO FEED 5000+ MEALS ON GOA LIBERATION DAY TO THE POOREST OF THE POOR ACROSS GOA

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA is attempting to feed 5000+ Meals on Goa Liberation Day to the poorest of the poor across Goa .
♡♡ THANKS TO NAVTARA GROUP OF RESTAURANTS for the support. 
We are going to feed through our volunteers to :
☆ People on the streets ,
☆ People in families who are in real sad          state,
☆ People who are suffering from HIV , 
☆ Children in orphanages and shelter             homes,
☆ Old aged homes ,
☆ People from backward communities ,
☆ People in our shelter homes ,
☆ Volunteers who feed in municipalities ,
☆ Our food bank fridges who will feed              ahead
Covering the entire length and breadth of Goa except in Pernem & Canacona Taluka.
It's a holiday and its Goa Liberation Day and President of India is visiting Goa .
It's going to be very challenging to the Staff at NAVTARA GROUP OF RESTAURANTS & to our volunteers and other NGOs who are joining in to feed these meals in a 3 hour time frame. 
You too can play your part by supporting us .
Require support for 1500 meals only .
Rest has been taken care off.
Each meal cost rs 40.
You can buy the coupons at any of the NAVTARA outlets or you can donate to our NGO.
This is our last project for the year .
Then 10 days break as we worked the whole year.

FREE PSYCHIATRIC CLINIC FOR THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED HOMELESS STREET PEOPLE & OUR POOR GOAN PEOPLE

FREE PSYCHIATRIC CLINIC for the mentally challenged homeless street people & our poor GOAN people, by STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST @ SANGOLDA GOA .

Street Providence is blessed with a Doctor who is a PSYCHIATRIST who has volunteered his time free of cost every saturday & sunday in all our homes. 
80% of the 100+ homeless people who we rehabilitate free of cost in all our homes are having mind issues and their mental health requires to be stabilised 
From the time we started Street Providence Trust , I always asked God to send one such Dr who could look after these destitudes and understand and guide us how to help them .
Today God sent a DOCTOR and he visited our home at ASSNORA.

His schedule is as follows :
☆ Saturday : North Goa homes of ours 
☆ Sunday : South Goa homes of ours 
Dr comes with a lot of passion and care and desire to treat and heal the homeless people on the streets who have lost their mind.
We are also starting a FREE CLINIC in our NEW, STREET PROVIDENCE office at Sangolda.
We have shut our Porvorim office as it was rented and we moved into our own office starting this Tuesday. 
Every Tue & Thur from 6 pm to 9 pm strictly with an appointment only , Dr will provide FREE CONSULTATION to those who are from very poor families and cant afford the fees of a PSYCHIATRIST. 
Please inform families surrounding SANGOLDA especially from porvorim, Guirim , Saligao, Pilerne to avail of this free facility .
This is our 1st free Clinic for those poor people with mental health issues

☆ Assnora 
☆ San jose de areal 
☆ Velim 
☆ Canacona.
I cant keep him only in my homes for my people only .
I decided to help those in villages across Goa who might require help and can't afford the transportation to visit a PSYCHIATRIC and the fees of the Dr as well as medicines. 
So Free :
☆ Doctor for those with mental health           issues,
☆ Consultation ,
☆ Medicines for those who cant afford. 
Once our new ambulance arrives , Dr will be on the STREETS administering to the homeless street people.
We require your help. 
There is big logistics cost involved In moving the Doctor around as he needs to be driven around. 
Imagine having just 1 person with an unsound mind in a family. 
Here we daily deal with many such people. 
Please support us as we reach out to those with an unsound mind either who are homeless or those in villages who might need this service. 
Our office @ Sangolda, can be used FREE by any other Doctor who wishes to help the poor only between 6 pm to 9 pm .
But no charges to be charged by the Doctor
Its only through giving we receive. 
We offer you income tax exemption under SECTION 80G on all your donations

PRO OF HOSPICIO MARGAO , GOA , GETS THIS HOMELESS ABANDONED MAN ADMITTED INTO OUR REHABILITATION HOME

PRO OF HOSPICIO MARGAO , GOA , gets this homeless abandoned man admitted into our rehabilitation home at Margao 3 days ago from the hospital. 
♡ Mr Sarfarz is the PRO at Hospico Margao and he observed this elderly man not ready to leave the hospital even after treatment as he had no place to go.
Sarfarz made me a call and explained me the situation. 
Its Christmas season and I can not say no as we are a rehabilitation home for such genuine homeless abandoned and lonely elderly people. 
Sarfarz got all his paper work done like 
☆ 1. Police NOC
☆ 2. Covid test 
☆ 3. All his medical records 
☆ 4. MS letter as he was in a hospital. 
And put him in his own car and physically dropped him to our home at MARGAO.
Alot of love , care and guts shown by SARFARZ to get him to our home. 
Our Margao Home is the only available home where we can admitt atleast another 150 men .
All other homes are full and occupied. 
The day this home is shut , we will never ever be able to rehabilitate any more homeless people. 
♡♡ Thanks to Sr Shirley , the current Superior General of FHIC , for opening up this home to be used for the homeless and the abandoned without any RENT or CHARGES.
God bless Sr Shirley for her love and concern towards the homeless street men in Goa.
Usually in these times , no one is interested in helping and reaching out to destitudes.
Mostly we all preach but do not practice. 
Here Sr Shirley took a great move to open up this 10 year old closed abandoned school building for rehabilitation of destitudes 1 year back. 
I am aware that there are many more homeless men in multiple hospitals who can be rehabilitated in our homes.
If those working in government hospitals can be concerned and compassionate just like SARFARZ and co ordinate with me and get all paper work done , then let me know.
Our strength is homeless men .
As usual for the last 4 years , we operate only through SOCIAL MEDIA .
Incase you are unaware or just wondering, we only use SOCIAL MEDIA Platform to raise resources as well as share our work. 
Infact in july 2017 , only because of Social media, Sr Shirley and her nun had approached us to be part of the food bank.
Running rehabilitation homes requires lots of :
☆ Resources 
☆ Space 
☆ Care givers 
☆ Commitment 
☆ Hospital trips 
☆ Medication 
☆ Nutrition 
The expenses never stop. 
It's a tap which has to be kept open everyday. 
Imagine 100 + people in your home and you are just 3 years old as an NGO . 
Plus daily 800 mouths are fed on the streets a basic meal .
Plus the pandemic .
We daily ask for donations through our messages on Social media. 
Coming week after ZP counting is over , about 8 homeless men begging to get off the streets will be provided shelter once Police do the paper work. 
Some cases are very sad and very bad.
Your support is what drives us to go ahead inspite of complaints and cases registered against us.
For us it's the commitment to provide food clothing shelter medication to those on the streets .

PROVIDES DRY RATION TO 250 INDIVIDUALS & THEIR FAMILIES SUFFERING FROM HIV IN GOA

STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST, GOA for the 4th straight month with your support provides Dry Ration to 250 individuals  & their families  suffering from HIV in Goa .
♡♡ Thanks to a very special and simple Goan man from Anjuna , Suraj Gawas , who volunteered to Cover most of the cost of this December 2020 ration by giving us a cheque.

♡♡ Thanks to all the 3 NGOs who partner us in packing and distributing these 250 kits across entire Goa.
♡♡ Thanks to M/s Gadvi who supplies us these ration in bulk and offers us a line of credit .
We now have commitment for January & Februrary for 250 kits Ration as donations have been received in advance. 
As of now if any one wishes to bear the cost of ration to HIV infected families for March and beyond , please let me know.
Most of these families are poor and below the poverty line and nutrition plays an important part .
We wish to increase these rations to 300 Kits a month as new cases have arisen based on the feedback given by these 3 NGOs.

It's because of you and your sacrifice that food has reached on the plates of these 250 families suffering from HIV.

STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST, GOA presents you a new project : POGO Rations .
Yes, dry ration to our POGO ( Person of Goan Origin ) or ethnic poor goans scattered across the villages of Goa.
For over 3 years we have been running many projects for the poor , homeless, marginalized, HIV, sick , etc .
I have come across numerous poor ethnic goans living in simple conditions, lacking for nutrition due to these reasons :
☆ 1. Less education
☆ 2. No jobs 
☆ 3. No infrastructure 
☆ 4. No voice 
☆ 5. Old aged and children moved away 
☆ 6. Abandoned by loved ones 
☆ 7. Poverty 
☆ 8. I can go on and on .
♡♡ And i asked God , WHAT ? ♡♡
For over 6 months God has inspired me to raise ration online for these poor POGO .
As of date we have been providing close to 500 ration kits every month ( 250 to HIV included) across various pockets of Goa .
The cost of each ration kit is Rs 1000.
With Christmas & New year approaching, let's stop and ponder whether we can together reach out to our own POGO.
Calling all our Goans across the World , India & Goa , incase you ever had a relative, friend, neighbour, etc who you have know, is now fighting to have 2 plain meals, then come forward and support them .
You can also identify the family who you would like to help and get in touch with us .
Every month we will deliver dry ration worth rs 1000.
With poor POGO or ethnic goan people losing jobs , inflation and food costs rising , the aged are left to fend for themselves, and this is the time to stand with our POGO or ethnic poor goans. 
We have presented just 2 villages where we are distributing dry ration.
☆ Canacona – covering Mashem , loilem , Agonda. 25 families 

☆ Velim – covering Ambelim , Velim , Chinchinim . 25 families 
We also are in :

We have compiled data , in a form , of these families and will be also providing to these families incase they require :

☆ Electrical & electronic equipment 
☆ Etc .
We even pay POGO or ethnic goans electricity Bill's, their children fees , spectacles, you name it we do it .
Sometimes i too forget what all we do .
We humbly request each middle class and well to do family from Goa to adopt such poor ethnic Goans or POGO.
You contribution can be :
monthly ( preferred) or yearly ,
In kind or through cheque or NEFT ,
dropped in kind in North or South Goa ,
But should be from your heart n consistent.
You will be updated monthly about your seed sown towards this family and you can also directly go every month and personally hand over this ration kit.
We can put something in the plate of these poor ethnic goans or POGO with your support only.

STARTS A NEW FOOD FRIDGE AT ARRARDI , GUIRIM, BARDEZ GOA .

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA starts a new food fridge at Arrardi , GUIRIM, BARDEZ GOA .
Few weeks ago Mr Lawrence & his wife Mrs Aura, both senior citizens, convinced me that a food bank fridge in Guirim is the need of the hour .
Mrs Aura is the SSVP President @ St Diogo Church, Guirim and her husband too is in the SSVP .
We agreed to install a fridge in her former fast food outlet and last week Fr Anand , Parish Priest of St Diogo Church, blessed the fridge.
Mrs Aura being a President of SSVP is aware of the poor and needy and this move was a well thought off as Mrs Aura can reach out to many in her village.
A light Breakfast will be catering to approx 20 people which will include :
☆ 1 paratha & egg or 
☆ 1 paratha & banana 
Besides from our food bank base at porvorim, 3 times a week we drop food into her fridge to feed ahead .

People who have extra food in the surrounding areas of Guirim , Saligao , Parra etc can drop their extra food in this fridge .
FOOD CAN'T/ WILL NOT BE COLLECTED BY THEM.
This is an initiative taken by both AURA & LAWRENCE as individuals and not by any organisation.
Hats off the this elderly couple who are ready to serve food to those in need while the threat of COVID is still on .
One day we intend to start a full fledged kitchen ( formerly her fast food outlet) to prepare and distribute hundreds of fresh meals daily across North Goa. 
But, it's one day, some where in the future .
Hope they both agree .
If you are connected to SSVP , Legion of Mary , or any organisation dealing with the poor and homeless then you too should think of starting a fridge to feed the poor , hungry and needy. 
We will provide you the fridge. 
We will even try to help u with daily meals and food to feed the hungry. 
Rest we leave up to God to produce the results.

Without volunteers and benefactors we would not be able to reach out to so many across Goa.
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA , today celebrates 3 years .
Exactly 3 years back on this day we formed our Trust .
Placing before you our work and all our projects .

FOOD FREEZERS:- Since inception until Covid pandemic in March 2020, 38 food freezers were operational all over Goa.

☆ 2017-18 81,000.00 KGS
☆ 2018-19 140,400.00 KGS
☆ 2019-20 194,400.00 KGS
Year wise the following amount of food was collected. ; food was distributed to homeless street people and children ☆ totally amounting to 610,200 meals.
Each person was provided 500 gms (approx) of cooked edible food and in 3 years a total of 610,200 meals have been served.
This food would have surely ended up in the garbage dumps. 
♡ SHELTER HOMES :_ Totally 8 shelter Homes set up to care for homeless men and women. 
We also run a free home for HIV infected men who are from the streets. 
Most of the men in our homes are alcoholic and are used to substance abuse .
Since inception in December, 2017, 
300 Inmates have resided in our Homes. 
We provide them food, shelter, clothes, medicines and medical facilties, rehabiltitaiton and try to unite them with their families or help them to enter into the mainstream by providing jobs within the organisation.
3 wholesome meals free of cost provided to each inmate.
♡ MEDICINE BANK : Daily supplements like Shelcal and Becosule is given to each inmate to boost their immunity. 
In addition, based on the doctor's precription, medicines are provided to the inmates.
Psychiatric inmates seem more relaxed and in control of their personal emotions and activties after being administered drugs based on the doctor's recommendations. 
Those with scabies, dermatitis, Blood Pressure have healed and /or are on the road to healing with medicines administered. 
Over all health of the malnourished inmates has improved and many of them are now strong enough to help in the homes and in the distribution of food and rations to the poor in the villages of Goa.
☆ Meds & operations worth Rs 5 lacs dispensed in last 3 years.

☆ Used Clothes, Toiletries & Personal Items worth 190,000/- provided to inmates.

☆ KERALA FLOODS in August 2018 – 
1.5 crore worth of relief material was sent.

☆ HIV DRY RATIONS – since 2018 monthly 50 rations worth Rs 1000/- each was distributed to HIV + patients and their families. 
Since SEPTEMBER , 2020, 250 dry rations worth Rs 1000/- each ration is distributed to HIV+ persons & their families.
☆ FREE BREAKFAST distributed – started in feb 2020, serving 50 breakfast daily outsidr Government hospitals and now presently serving as follows:- 
♡ Mapusa –50
♡ Panjim – 50
♡ Margao – 50
☆ MEALS ON WHEELS ( MOW) – started in November 2020, serving free lunch and dinner as follows :
♡ Mapuca – 100
♡ Panjim – 100
♡ Vasco – 100
♡ Quepem – 60
♡ Curchorem – 60
♡ Sanguem – 60
♡ Margao – 100
☆ ORPHANAGES – 300 orphans were supported on children’s day with educational, recreational and food supplies. Same for December month and every month will follow .
☆ WATER BANK : 24 hours in Sangolda & Margao , free water can be accessed by those who are in need of portable water .
☆ HEALTH : Free ambulance service for the poor and needy from 2015. At the moment the ambulance is given to Chimbel health centre for Covid related activities free of cost. 
☆ COVID 19 : During the entire lockdown from late March till November , we have distributed approx Rs 39 lacs worth of food, medicines , sanitizers, masks etc throughout Goa all because of many many volunteers who supported us .
You need to be a giver to harvest a bountiful.
Once again a big thank you to all who played their part right from may 2017 when we started our 1st grudge toll Nov 2020.

FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER IS TRYING BRING A SMILE TO 300 ORPHANS ( INCLUDING STREET CHILDREN)

STREET PROVIDENCE GOA for the month of December is trying bring a smile to 300 orphans ( including street children) by taking care of a few of their requirements. 
☆ 14th November 2020 for Children Day / Diwali festival, we covered close to 300 orphans & street children and through social media we collected basic food stuff and stationary items and gave it ahead. 
We went back again and inquired with these 10 orphanges what else is their requirements for December and we compiled a small list .
☆ Attached is the list in excel. 
Please let me know before buying so that there is no duplication. 
If you require the list by email let me know .
But if you only can enlarge the attachment you can understand which home requires what .
The total cost per home may not be more than rs 5000.
You can pick and choose or even contribute part of any home requirement. 
☆ One orphanage required broadband and so we are arranging the same @ rs 10000 which includes installation and 6 months data , should be ready in 3 days 
☆ One orphanage required water purifier and we have ordered it @ Rs 8500 only, installation is required. 
☆ One foster home did not have inverter , costing rs 18000 , that too we have ordered. 
If you wish to take care of these expenses, we can put a sticker of your name and take you along once the installation is done so that you can see where your blessing is being sowed. 
Other orphanages requested for basic stuff .
You can purchase and give it to us or you can go directly to the orphanage and give .
Or you can donate to us and get 80G exemption and come along when we drop these items to the orphanage. 
Plenty of options and choices you have.
But let's all get together and bless these orphans and street children every month with something little.
For me, Christmas is to be celebrated every month and not only during December. 
As i am running 8 free shelter homes, I am aware how difficult it is at times to arrange resources. 
Just like we support 250+ hiv infected people in Goa with dry ration month after month , in the same way we are determined to support orphanges and foster homes month after month. 
Many times we get inquires from families who specifically wish to provide aid in kind or food stuff only to ORPHANGES .
And most of the times I could not help .
I took some time to study how and where these orphanges are and here we are now ready to help monthly orphanages and street children .
It's a dream One day Street Providence will 
be running a big home for street children and orphans.
Before starting any project I take about 6 months to understand the pros & cons. 
We as an NGO have always supported other NGOs which is usually not heard off.
NGOs most of the time are afraid to share resources and benefactors with others smaller NGOs
But we @ Street Providence believe in

OUR MOW IN CURCHOREM , QUEPEM & SANGUEM MUNICIPALITIES

▪︎1. Our MOW in Curchorem , Quepem & Sanguem municipalities from today &
▪︎2. How this good seed today brought in 1000 breads today with 100 breads committed everyday from tomorrow plus daily toast.

☆ 1. Our MOW ( meals on wheels) started today in Quepem, Curchorem & Sanguem municipalities for the homeless and hungry on the streets in the above areas. 
Thanks to these 2 young boys who will be covering these 3 municipalities among themselves

Through our MOW we serve :
☆ Paratha & banana in the afternoon &
☆ Paratha & boiled egg at night. 
No plastic bag, silver foil etc .
So no non biodegradable garbage .
Daily per meal per volunteer will be 30 pax.
Incase they cant get the required homeless these 2 volunteers will serve our poor goan families in the respective areas. 
No wastage no spoilage .
☆ 2. Now after we started this MOW, this afternoon at around 2.30 pm our food bank volunteer from Margao Mr John Baptist received a call from Souza & Sons bakery Margao , that there are over 1000+ bread rolls to be given away as an order got cancelled.
We pick it up by 3 pm and within 30 min distributed to : 
☆ Our 5 rehabilitation homes 
☆ Two orphanges in south Goa

1000 + breads gone within 30 min flat. 
That's our strength at OUR FOOD BANK, moving bulk food anytime, anyday, all because of the volunteers who feed daily across Goa .
We can move huge quantity of food within very short time. 
Now here is the blessing which God has sent through Souza & Sons bakery. 👇
In the future any bread which will be unsold will be given to our rehabilitation homes and I am sure it's going to be 100+.
We have at any time 50 to 60 + homeless men in our 2 rehabilitation homes in south Goa and naturally our morning breakfast will be taken care off by these breads. 
Plus daily toast packets .
And that takes care of the evening tea of these men in our 2 home

We dont accept anything which we dont require and we don't keep anything in our homes which is highly perishable .
