” CHRISTMAS FATHER / MR. FAKHIRA CONQUERED HIS DEMONS THROUGH STREET PROVIDENCE”

10.2.2021 7pm IST
” Christmas Father / Mr Fakhira conquered his demons through Street Providence”
STOP reading.
Watch the 4 min video first , which was shot on 8.2.2021 and then continue reading .

” The video is in konkanni “
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA :
picks up from the streets,
accepts from the streets &
rehabilitates homeless street people which at times are beyond your imagination.
And we strive hard to get each and everyone human being in our shelter home back on track :
no matter how severe the matter is ,
no matter how many years one is in depression,
no matter how many wounds or dirt is on the body,
no matter even if our eyes tell us it's a hopeless case, dont touch this case .
Our biggest success story after 3 years. MR FAKHIRA .
One of the toughest and the worst case we ever handled.
Yet today FAKHIRA is as gentle as a child.
We have managed to destroy the animal instinct in him which made him reach the streets and loose his mind very badly .
Everyone knew him as Christmas Father especially in and around Panjim City , Goa.
We tried many times to get him off the streets but he always came to attack us or he was extremely dirty , unclean & in inhumane conditions with foul smell .
But we kept trying till we used DIVINE PROVIDENCE to get him off the streets.
When we picked Fakhira he was :
☆ Heavy in body ,
☆ Wounded smelly leg in a plastic bag ☆ ☆ with live worms and maggots,
☆ Abusive and rough,
☆ Uncontrollable,
☆ Highly in depression,
☆ Water phobia,
☆ Etc etc
I can go on .
But many many former care givers played their part in breaking him down slowly.
The main players behind this success story has been the :
DOCTORS @ IPHB , Bambolim &
Sr Mariola who would often do counseling with him .
Continuous medication and visits to IPHB @ Bambolim is what played a major part in what FAKHIRA is today.
Today Fakhira :
☆ Has his own bath ,
☆ Brushes his teeth,
☆ Uses the washroom
☆ Eats without food falling out of the plate,
☆ Washes his own plate,
☆ Does the work allocated to him ,
☆ Speaks politely and properly ,
☆ Does not waste water/ has no water pobhia
☆ Sleeps peacefully,
☆ Takes his medication faithfully,
☆ Reasons out and can think properly.
I remember in early 2018 , many many people would trouble me to rehabilitate him, but it always looked impossible.
Being determined towards the cause of taking care of such cases concerning homeless and depressin , we are proud of FAKHIRA as of today.
As the only NGO in GOA picking and looking after such highly complicated and depression cases from the streets, is not an easy task with the number of such men / cases in our homes.
You and I together need to live and walk towards humanity .
Its easy to request to get some one off the streets.
But the rehabilitation process is an expensive aspect which makes every one avoid starting rehabilitation/shelter homes and take the easy route to running old aged homes.
Rehabilitation homes are only for poor street people who dont pay any fees .
We @ Street PROVIDENCE requires more shelter homes to rehabilitate homeless street people of which 50% are our local goans.
Street Providence requires your support both in kind like :
▪︎dry ration
▪︎Medicines
▪︎Pampers
▪︎Walking aids
▪︎Toiletries
▪︎Etc
and in resources to rehabilitate the homeless in our homes across Goa .
Every day except Sunday, we are in some government hospital with our people for treatment and medication.
Please DONATE generously towards our NGO .
We offer you income tax exemption under Section 80G.
Donations in cheque/ NEFT with your pan card copy.

ADMITS THIS POOR GOAN LADY WHO WAS TREATED FOR MENTAL DISABILITIES AT THE HOSPITAL, INTO OUR HOME .

4.2.2021 4pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA admits this poor Goan lady who was treated for Mental disabilities at the hospital, into our home .
Few days back received a request from a Asst Prof requesting to rehabilitate this lady who was going to be discharged soon.
The lady herself is 12 std pass , with computer knowledge.
But some how has got terribly disturbed mentally.
The lady Has been creating a nuisance in the village for pretty long time @ 12 years due to her mental state and for over 1 year has been in hospital.
The Asst Prof and the ladies brother became friends and that is when the
Asst Prof decided to do something for the poor lady .
The Asst Prof drives 40 kms to their home to understand the level of poverty this lady comes from and to ascertain that this lady requires rehabilitation in our home.
Brother small cart ( gaddo) has been shut since the lockdown. No source of income.
It's at this point of time, I assure the
Asst Prof that we will rehabilitate.
If we refuse there r 2 options:
▪︎1. She remains a few more months / years in the hospital or
▪︎ 2. She starts roaming back on the streets.
♡♡ Thanks to FMCK nuns who also double up as our caregivers in the woman home for providing their home & their nuns to run this woman home.
Not an easy task .
♡♡ Special thanks to SR DIANA a FMCK NUN who Is also a professional NURSE for taking care of these 15 + woman in our home.
On coming Saturday another such goan lady will be admitted
Next week another 91 year old man who is homeless will be admitted into our men home .
Looking after such people is a special calling and I am grateful to God for putting this service into my heart.
At times I wonder inspite of being very very impatient and uncut , why is God using me?
Also thanks to our :
☆ Care givers,
☆ Volunteers,
☆ Our trustees ,
☆ Our operational manager ,
☆ Our collaborators ie FMCK nuns , especially SR DIANA ,
☆ The landowners who rent out their homes to us at very cheap rate,
Without whom this rehabilitation program would not be possible.
We are the only LAY NGO having the highest no of people with mental disabilities ie 68 ( both ladies and gents) in all our homes and the numbers are increasing.
Along with donations and support increasing we too are increasing our strength which will be at 150 people very soon.
See when God blesses you or me its not to be kept inside, that blessing needs to be put out to those who require the blessing .
In this case for us its the POOR HOMELESS PEOPLE who we bless daily.
Not an easy task yet we are there Providing FREE food, clothing , medication, hospital visits, etc .
If you have that FIRE in you to serve the poorest of the poor , and can commit yourself full time then we welcome you to serve with us .
If you have an big empty home to rent out to us for rehabilitation of the homeless street people, then please get in touch with me on 8380097564 thru whatsapp messages only .
If you know of poor ladies having mental issues and no one to care for them , then we might just be able to help out .
I repeat might . So understand well .
I am not promising or committing but it will be on case to case basis.
Provided the paper work is done and we are convinced that the person is poor and requires free rehabilitation.
By end March 2021 we are preparing to admitt another 40 such ladies in our upcoming 2 ladies homes in collaboration with the nuns as nuns are the only one for us , who can look after such ladies full time.
Support us through your donations both in kind and in resources.
We accept donation only through NEFT / CHEQUES along with your pan card copy .
We offer you INCOME TAX EXEMPTION UNDER 80G.

IN THE LAST 3 DAYS GETS 3 MEN OFF THE STREETS

3.2.2021 9am IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST, GOA in the last 3 days gets 3 men off the streets of Goa inspite of having lost our biggest home early last month in Margao city .
☆ Case 1 on Sunday :
Napolean spots this goan man Mr Jairam loitering and desperate for help at Mapusa taxi stand.
Watch the 1 min video. You might shed a tear .
One side he is paralyzed ,weak , frustrated and under nourished .
Thrown out by his family as he has narrated.
Mapusa Police does the Paperwork and within a few hours he is taken to our home.
Attached a picture after we cleant him .
☆ Case 2 : Monday
Mr Kamat a goan man , infected, homeless and alcoholic.
Has a fresh wound on his leg as well as has one swollen leg .
No one to look after as he is terribly sick from his incurable disease.
A source of nuisance in his village as he has no work, no money so no food .
Got his affidavit and other paperwork done and admitt him into our home.
When we picked him he was like a scavenger.
On cleaning him and cutting his hair, looks real gentleman.
Sorry no picture can be uploaded.
☆ Case 3 : Tuesday
Mr Rakesh is a non goan , lying in various government hospitals from late Nov 2020.
Attached a picture of him on the bed sitting
Terribly under nourished and a bit of unsound mind with wounds on his body and one hand paralyzed.
Mapusa police station request us to rehab him as on Tuesday he needed to be discharged from District hospital mapusa and issues the NOC.
Sapnesh does the co ordination and Naploean gets the paperwork and other formalities done.
If discharged from the hospital , he will be back on the streets.
On humanitarian conditions we pick him up else he might just not make it .
Conclusion
Frankly speaking we are over stretched in our mens homes as we just dont have space.
Other side, these 3 homeless men might just not make it , if not rehabilitated in time.
We require ASAP a big big home to rehab more homeless men, who are looking for a place to stay and food to eat .
Getting them of the streets is okay but the hospital trips and doctors visits is really very difficult and expensive.
Then quite a good number of them are incapicated and they need to be cleant and bathed often .
Caregivers have a tough time.
Yet we are there , ready to share HUMANITY with these homeless people inspite of our biggest home being taken away from us in Margao.
See, inspite of not a single home owned by us , yet we are able to do so much .
Otherside, see who has all the big houses, big buildings , big institutions and plenty on nurses and attendants and yet the poor , homeless and underprivileged adults are just not important to be admitted into these completely empty buildings.
Becuase they can't afford the fees.
Only those with money are cared for and looked after .
Rest die on the streets.
If you cant use your buildings for the poor atleast give it to us to use to rehabilitate the homeless.
Sometimes i really get frustrated and upset at how our own society attitude towards the homeless and downtrodden.
All only preach & teach to others about the homeless, the poor , the hungry but very very few , ( single digit % ) actually do these services here in Goa .
To love the poor & the homeless you don't require property, assets, bank balance, a top class Advocate, but you need to have a heart of humanity.
The lockdown & the pandemic is creating a big havoc to the poorest of the poor right across Goa .
Homeless people are increasing in various cities of Goa due to unemployment.
Support us as we are the only NGO in Goa looking after homeless street men & women without any charges.
Kindly support us through any way you can.
You can pay :
☆ Our medical Bill's
☆ Our food and ration Bill's
☆ For petrol vouchers
Or you can donate to our Trust and we offer you 50% income tax exemption under 80G.
But the work will go on but will not stop as God provides through benefactors like you who are inspired by God.
We operate only through WhatsApp on 8380097564.
No calling please and no cash donations .
All donations with your pan card copy and strictly through Cheque / NEFT .
God bless you so much

THANKS MR. JOHN TRAVASSO FROM FATORDA WHO YESTERDAY DONATED A BRAND NEW CAR TO OUR ORGANISATION.

31.1.2021 11am IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA Thanks Mr John Travasso from Fatorda who yesterday donated a brand new Car to our organisation.
We @ Street Providence have followed this scripture always :
♡♡ Give & it shall be given into you,
Good measure , pressed down,
Shaken together, etc ♡♡
Post lockdown due to the pandemic , we had offered our only ambulance to the PHC @ CHIMBEL which was returned early December 2020.
We had uploaded a post in October 2020 on social media asking/ requesting for a 2nd hand ambulance to purchase.
Within 30 min of that post 2 senior citizens replied :
♡♡ 1st one John Travasso
♡♡ 2nd one Ivan Rasquinha.
Both agreed to donate generously for an ambulance.
I immediately confirmed with Mr John that we will accept his donation for the new ambulance.
I quickly informed Mr Ivan that we have received commitment from another benefactor and will not accept his donation.
But Maruti Eco ambulance either brand new or 2nd hand were not available.
Both the above senior citizens tried at their level but yet we just could not get a 2nd hand Maruti Eco ambulance.
We even booked a new Maruti Eco ambulance through Chowgules but given to understand there is a shortage of ambulances at the manufacturing facility.
Approached the OSD to the Transport Minister of Goa , with a request to allow us to convert / modify our existing Maruti Eco van to an ambulance.
The OSD was kind enough to allow us the same through the advice of
THE Director of Transport, Goa , who explained the rule under section 52 where by this is possible.
I explained this to John and he understood the same.
We requested John for a New Wagon R car as the mileage Is 50% more than an Eco and he willingly agreed.
Especially with the cost of Petrol HITTING an all time high .
Infact John was kind enough to send additional funds for the conversion / modification of our existing Maruti Eco into a full fledged ambulance.
In 1 month from today our modified ambulance should be ready.
♡♡ Thanks to Fr Ubald , Parish Priest of Cavelossim Church who blessed our New Car in the presence of Mr Dixon Vaz.
We have a home for homeless street men in Cavelossim and i know Fr Ubald from my school days way back in 1989.
By end April 2021, we are planning to house in total 150 homeless street people.
Approx 100 men & 50 women.
Of which :
☆ 60% will be people with Mental disabilities
☆ 10% will be people with physical disabilities
☆ 10% will be with injures and old age .
Daily hospital trips and doctors visits is something we just cant avoid especially when its a rehabilitation home for street people.
Transportation to the hospitals of these homeless people Is something which happens daily due to the weak health parameters being on the streets for months if not years .
Besides rehabilitation, we also collect food across Goa through our Food bank programme on daily basis and here too transportation is required.
With More homes starting soon & more homeless people being picked up and rehabilitated , means more transportation is to be considered.
Now we are having 80+ people in our homes .
Took a hit after we lost our biggest home.
But that's how the Evil one comes to steal, kill and destroy .
Planning an exclusive FREE home for the ever increasing no of substance abused youngsters in Goa very soon .
But In 3 months from now , just before the monson we are trying to double the numbers to 150 homeless and
poor abandoned goans off the streets and into our homes .
We are still looking for a big home only for men which can hold about 50 in total under 1 roof .
For women on the streets, we have two homes starting from March 2021 .
Currently we are looking after 15 street women for the last 2 years supported by FMCK congregstion .
Your support in so many ways is what drives us to go beyond our means .
We will still be requiring atleast 2 more cars and once we get these cars we will convert/ modify our balance 2 Maruti Eco into ambulances as that's the only way forward with regards to ambulances .
If any one knows of a 2nd hand Maruti Eco ambulance for sale please let me know .
God bless you all

FOR THE 5th CONSECUTIVE MONTH GIVES 250 KITS OF DRY RATION WORTH Rs 1000 to 250 FAMILIES INFECTED WITH HIV.

27.1.2021 8pm IST
FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA for the 5th consecutive month gives 250 kits of Dry Ration worth Rs 1000 to 250 families infected with HIV.
♡♡ Thanks to a kind senior citizen ( benefactor ) Uncle Gregory , who paid the entire bill for the month of January for this ration bearing Rs 2 lacs .
♡♡ Thanks to the 3 NGOs :
☆ UDANT , Mrs Anita
☆ ZINDAGI , Mr Mahesh
☆ PRESENTATION SOCIETY , Sr Deepti
who for the last 5 months have been physically distributing these dry ration kits across Goa to these 250 poor HIV families.
Attached a 2 minute video on this you tube link
We might not be able to carry on for FEBRUARY 2021 as we dont have a donor to pay for the ration for these 250 infected families.
If you can help us to reach out to these 250 families for FEBRUARY 2021 please let me know.
It was a great sense of gratitude that from Nov 2017 till August 2020 consistently we took care of 50 such HIV infected families through Presentation Society.
From Sept 2020 till Jan 2021 we managed to cater to 250 HIV infected families as there was an issue during this lockdown.
But now due to various other projects, where we also give dry ration, we might just not be able to provide dry ration for these 250 HIV families.
It's a challenge to run such a big project without generous benefactors like you all, who are inspired month after month to donate for a really worthy cause of feeding these poor HIV INFECTED PEOPLE .
Yet we managed With The Grace of God for the last 5 months.
Your donations play an important part in our organisation as that's the only source of income in our rehabilitation of homeless street people as well as feeding hundreds of people daily through our various programs.
We offer you 80G EXEMPTION on all your donations with your pan card copy .
Donations only through Cheques/ NEFT .

TODAY WE LIT UP A HOUSE OF A POOR NATIVE GOAN IN BHATPAL , CANACONA.

26.1.2021 7pm IST
♡♡ OSD to the Power Minisrer of Goa Mr Lyndon Monteiro & Goa electricity Dept @ CANACONA helps to light up after 25 years a Poor Native Goan home .
🇮🇳Today is Indias Republic Day 🇮🇳
We @ STREET PROVIDENCE today lit up a house of a POOR NATIVE GOAN in BHATPAL , CANACONA.
Attached a 10 min video link through
Facebook & youtube 👇
Due to range & connectivity issue, the video hangs at times.
For 25 years approx, Mr Wilson was not having electricity in his house due to poverty and his personal reasons.
Thru our distribution of DRY RATION which happens monthly to POOR NATIVE GOANS, our volunteer Mrs SHARON in Canacona came across this home where Mr Wilson has been staying alone.
Street Providence cleared his old bill which was not paid for many years and redid his wiring, installed a few points and purchased a new meter as well as dug the earthing totalling to Rs 20000.
Today I drove 100 kms one way with my friend FELIX from Calangute to be part of this electrification of this poor native goan Mr Wilson home .
♡♡ Thanks to :
☆ 1. Mrs Sharon & her husband for taking care of all the works for the last 1 month regarding Mr Wilson electricity requirement
☆ 2. Mr Lyndon Monterio, OSD to Power Minister Of Goa for following up on this matter and co coordinating with the department to provide the electricity on this Republic Day .
☆ 3. Sanjay Goankar the ENGINEER from the electricity DEPARTMENT, Canacona for showing humanity and understanding how this poor sick man has been living without electricity for the last 25 years and releasing the connection without any harrassment or delay.
☆ 4. To the ground staff at Canacona Electricity DEPARTMENT who went out of their way last night and did the necessary arrangements.
☆ 5. Fr Fredďy , Parish Priest of Bhatpal, who came over and blessed this small electrified house of Mr Wilson.
If you know such poor people in your locality who are not having electricity due to poverty or financial issues, please try to reach out and help them.
We offer you 80G EXEMPTION on all your donations with your pan card copy .

GOT THIS HOMELESS GOAN MAN Mr KIKI FROM VASCO OPERATED FOR A BROKEN HIP BONE.

23.1.2021 4pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA has got this homeless goan man Mr Kiki from Vasco operated for a broken hip bone.
Yes we dont only pick and rehabilitate homeless people but we also treat them for fractures and any other medical issues.
♡♡ Thanks to alot of the below who made this possible :
Staff at HOSPICIO where he was for 7 days,
Nurses @ Ward 103 @ GMC hospital,
Dr Zelio for the successful operation,
Mr Dattatram Dessai, Director adm GMC
Our care givers Siddesh & Ram Singh.
Kiki was abandoned in Mapusa late 2019 and was in very miserable state .
Practically naked, malnourished and in depression.
We took him in and we found he has alot of anger against someone and something.
Recently he fell down in the home and was in pain.
Big man with a huge body and heavy in structure.
Does not talk much but just sits the whole day staring at nothing.
Looks to be upset at his rejection I assume.
Not easy to look after him but we are going to manage him after he is discharged.
We try our level best with :
▪︎Limited space,
▪︎Limited resources
▪︎No professional nurses
▪︎No trained care givers
▪︎Yet we are committed to our                        rehabilitation programme.
Not a easy task looking after homeless street men .
Its commitment day in and day out .
And we are all LAY PEOPLE with our own jobs and our own families , yet we do what society at times brushes aside.
Your support is what makes us go forward daily 24 × 7.
It's easy to request us to get a person off the streets.
But once off the streets the expenses start .
And everything is rising very fast especially daily expenses.
Every day our care givers are practically in some hospital or with some doctor with our homeless street people both men & women .
Your donations play an important part in our organisation as that's the only source of income in looking after so many homeless street people .
We offer you 80G EXEMPTION on all your donations with your pan card copy .
Donations only through Cheques/ NEFT .

Live From The Field

22.1.2021 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA works with homeless people in our rehabilitation homes (in Goa only) as well as we look after men & women whose families just cant look after due to many genuine reasons including poverty, mentally & physically challenged issues.
All Free of cost with no charges at all to most of them.
Look at the picture attached in this message which is just 1 of our such homes.
Most are genuinely homeless and lonely.
Men look all clean, neat and tidy including well groomed.
Yes they are not smiling .
But i can vouch that each and every one of these men are a source of motivation to me and my team .
This is the FRUIT OF OUR HARD WORK for the last 3 years .
If not for our homes, most of them would be still be on the streets of Goa and would not been around to see this day
But this is not the way they were admitted or brought to our homes.
Most were :
▪︎Unclean
▪︎Long hair & grumpy beard
▪︎Long nails
▪︎Sick with wounds and cuts
▪︎Liquor & substance abused
▪︎Rejected and abandoned by family
▪︎Lost and sort of vagabond style .
▪︎Clatter and murmuring
▪︎Water phobia
▪︎Etc
With due :
☆ Care
☆ Nutritious food
☆ Weekly visit by doctor
☆ Continues medication and follow up
☆ Human touch
☆ Healthy living environment
☆ Exercise and games
Most of them are getting better if not better and today are close to being and living a normal human life .
But their medication is what needs to be given faithfully.
And this medication costs us alot of money.
Attached a list of their monthly medications of all our homes where 80% of our people are under psychiatric medication.
We require your monthly support with these medications if you can commit to the cause.
We get 15 % discount at a particular pharmacy.
We feel proud and happy that all our men's homes are run by these same men who once were in depression and unclean themselves, on the streets of Goa, but today they are staying back in Thanksgiving for their life being put back on track and are caring for those who just cant take care of themselves.
Especially the old and infirmed.
Its not a easy or cheap task at all especially when we totally depend on public donations and the requests for admissions into our homes are daily increasing.
With Petrol prices hitting the roof automatically other costing too go haywire and that's the biggest issue
If we were charging fees it would be a different case .
Here it's only THE WORD OF GOD & THE FAVOUR OF GOD that we are able to carry on and preparing to look after by April 21 another 50 more homeless taking our homeless number to 150 in all our homes.
The lockdown and the current pandemic is causing the homeless on the streets to increase daily and I feel sad & disappointed at times that due to lack of space or a big big home we can't do much.
Kindly support us through any way you can.
You can pay :
☆ Our medical Bill's
☆ Our food and ration Bill's
☆ For petrol vouchers
Or you can donate to our Trust and we offer you income tax exemption under 80G.
But the work will go on but will not stop as God provides through benefactors like you who are inspired by God.
We operate only through WhatsApp on 8380097564

HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN BEGGARS AND HOMELESS PEOPLE.

21.1.2021 7pm IST
How to differentiate between beggars and homeless people and more about homelessness.
▪︎1.
A Beggar looks and dresses dirty .
It's a business for them.
They go back to their homes .
They seldom smell .
▪︎2.
A Homeless is actually unclean and in majority of cases is of unsound mind .
They will not constantly nag you for alms ,
If you give they will take.
They eat from dustbins and left overs .
They have no place to go at night .
How does one become homeless ?
*Run away from home
*State of depression due to many reasons:
failed family life or love life ,
Rejection from family ,
No education ,
No job or no money ,
Alcoholic or substance abuse ,
Sickness ,
Etc .
*poverty
*system failures
*domestic violence
Solution to homelessness ?
Shelter homes either State run or NGO run.
Central government scheme ?
Yes available.
Who should implement the homeless scheme?
Urban bodies as most homeless are in cities .
Lack of humanity is what causes the homeless to be where they are .
Eviction drives by the law are not the solutions to homeless people.
Each urban body in the city should have their own shelter home to address the issue which is need of the hour .
Picture yourself being homeless and see the pain and humiliation one goes through.
This is how the process starts to being homeless:
☆ 1. Arrives or forced to live on the streets.
☆ 2. Hunger , heat , dust , dirt kills you slowly.
☆ 3. Slowly you begin to loose your mind
☆ 4. Hallucinations start .
☆ 5. Long hair, long beard or unclean clothes
☆ 6. U loose your senses
Solution to coming out of homelessness :
☆ 1. Admission to a mental institute if the law authorities have some pity on you .
☆ 2. Natural death due to malnutrition.
☆ 3. Some NGO picks you up and takes you to a home and looks after you.
We @ Street Providence have been rehabilitating homeless people last 3 full years .
Till date 350 + have been picked up and close to 90+ are being taken care off currently, free of cost .
80 % of these homeless people in our homes are on medications which are not cheap .
As of today taking care of homeless people with mental issues requires permission under THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT .
We thank the GOVERNMENT OF GOA for supporting us in this mission by not stopping our work .
But looking forward to better facilities from the Chief Minister of Goa .
For over 2 years we have been waiting for the permission but no reply to our letters.
What do we do?
Do we wait for the permission?
Do we keep accepting from the police more such homeless people?
Do we shut all our homes and add all the homeless in our homes to the streets ?
I dont know .
We were driven our of a home in South Goa and cheated early this month and see the result in that city .
The same authorities which refused to understand the gravity of our problem in this home which compelled us to leave are today asking us to help in rehabilitation of the homeless which are being evicted due to the drive in that city .
Why this city never had the same issue last 1 year ?
Because we were accepting from both the local police stations through Goa Police and rehabilitating most of these people from this city in this home.
Remember where ever there is a big government hospital , there is bound to be homeless people.
Here in this city you have :
☆ Railway station
☆ Bus station
☆ Government Hospitals two of them .
But no shelter home in the city .
Give us :
▪︎a place in the said city,
▪︎the grant which the municipalities has
▪︎the necessary licenses
▪︎medical aid and medications and
we will take care of the homeless in and around this particular city in this home .
But dont try to harass and pressurise these homeless people who majority are of unsound mind and 40 % will be our own goans .
Whatever I have expressed is facts and straight out of my experience in this field.
It's not meant to put down anyone.
You as the society too can play your part in being part of this homeless issue.
NGOs cant manage without donations and grants.
By coming April 2021 , we will be looking after close to 150 homeless people who
80 % will be with mental issues with woman being 50 & men being 100 as we adding 2 big homes exclusively for homeless street woman .
God bless you always
