RECEIVED AND INSTALLED SUCCESSFULLY 2 SOLAR WATER HEATER FOR OUR 2 REHABILITATION HOMES IN GOA .

STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST , received and installed successfully 2 Solar water heater for our 2 rehabilitation homes in Goa .
On 25.6.2020 we had uploaded a post where by we highlighted a Solar Water Heater which was donated and installed at our Assnora Home for the destitutes.
We had requested on that same post 
dt 25.6.2020 to support us in installing in all our other homes, Solar Water Heaters.
We have been successful in getting donations for 2 homes and also completed the installation of these 2 solar water heaters at our :
Batim home for destitute men &
A women home for alcoholic in Bardez .
Thanks to the 2 benefactors who donated towards this request .
☆ One is my own blood brother and the other is an elderly benefactor who has stood with us for the last 3 years .
We still have 2 more homes to install solar water heaters .
Both are in south GOA. 
Another 3 of our homes don't require Solar Water heaters as the installation is quite complicated and tiresome and there are geysers in these homes. 
Thanks to Mr Bunty from Saligao for completing these 2 installations inspite of the weather playing wet last 10 days and the COVID issues .
Bunty did a fantastic job under tough circumstances where it has been raining daily in Goa for the last days .
Good service at lighting speed by BUNTY .
The hot water available now especially at our BATIM & ASSNORA home is a big relief to our destitude men who are enjoying the same. 
The care givers too are happy as the destitude men are now actually having bath and those who cant have a bath are given a bath with ease by the care givers. 
Soiled and toilet clothes too are now washed in hot water and I am sure in the next few days all scratchy and skin irritations will be a thing of the past. 
The difficult part in looking after destitides is their personal hygiene and their daily bath .
Especially those who are unsound mind , having a bath for them is very difficult and complicated. 
We have always used only SOCIAL MEDIA and will use only SOCIAL MEDIA to appeal for help and donations and to showcase our service.

FEEDING FREE BREAKFAST AT ALL 4 MAJOR GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS IN GOA

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA has been feeding free breakfast at all 4 major Government hospitals in Goa.
On 1.7.2020 , for the very 1st time , under CSR activities , State Bank Of India , Margao branch sponsored the meal as part of the founding day of the bank 
The same was highlighted on 3.7.2020 on THE GOAN NEWSPAPER to create an awareness of the free service.

Today 4.7.2020 , is the 100th birth anniversary of the founder owner of M/ s Y R N KURADE , petrol pump at Margao and his daughter , Dr ( Mrs ) Shubhalaxmi was kind enough to celebrate the birthday anniversary of her DAD , by sponsoring the breakfast.
▪︎Dr ( Mrs) Shubhalaxmi was present today inspite of the heavy rains taking part in the distribution of the breakfast at DISTRICT HOSPITAL MARGAO along with her family member .
▪︎Dr ( Mrs ) Shubhalaxmi even brought slices of cake individually packed and water bottles .
▪︎All breakfast ( especially at Margao ) which remains unconsumed, is later in the day sent to our rehabilitation homes which we run for the homeless street people. 
It means alot to us that this service is now supported by many many individuals. 
Not all benefactors can come to serve breakfast , but we re assure all our benefactors that you are most welcome to join in the serving at your risk any time with prior appointment with your transport. 
Once again please support us in this service of free breakfast for the needy. 
All your donations are granted INCOME TAX EXEMPTION under section 80G.
We accept donations in cheque/ NEFT / Cash but with your Pan card no so that you can avail of the Income Tax EXEMPTIONS.

Live From The Field

STATE BANK OF INDIA , MARGAO celebrates their founding day today by sponsoring under CSR the breakfast for the poor in front of DISTRICT HOSPITAL MARGAO.
We thank the AGM & the officials from SBI Margao for thinking of the poor and hungry by taking care of today breakfast as part of their bank founding day .
The AGM & the officials also donated 10 crts of biscuits towards our DRY RATION BANK .
Today being the 1st of the month we distributed 500 kits of dry ration like 
Rice , Sugar , Phova, onions and these biscuits .

Thanks to our volunteers who have distributed these dry ration kits in the following area :

▪︎2. Adv Caroline 50 kits in MAPUSA  cc           area 
▪︎3. Akash 50 kits in SAVORDEM area

▪︎6. Patricia 250 kits in various villages             of south GOA. 
We have observed that free breakfast service is picking up especially outside GMC & DISTRICT HOSPITAL, MAPUSA .
Poor people actually are waiting for this small meal which can at times be their only meal of the day . I don't know . But it can be .
It's good that SBI Margao took to celebrating their founding day of the bank in such a unquie way .
With the economic slow down, the daily wages labourers , the poor and needy, etc will be feeling the pinch. 
Our FREE BREAKFAST and our DRY RATION BANK is directly benefitting the poorest of the poor in different parts of Goa .

SOLAR WATER UNIT AT OUR ASSNORA HOME .

STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA Thanks Dysp Mr Edwin sir @ Goa Police for supporting us & arranging for a brand new SOLAR WATER UNIT at our Assnora home .
Big thanks to MR. YUVARAJ K. BANDODKAR who actually donated this SOLAR WATER UNIT to our Assnora home .
In fact about 8 months back we had put on social media a request for four solar water heaters for our 4 homes and Dysp Edwin immediately did the needful. 
For close to 8 months we struggled to install the same , and reasons were plenty .
Now with SAPNESH our volunteer taking charge of all operations in NORTH GOA , the installation was finally complete yesterday .
Sapnesh took the challenge ( where others including me failed) , broke his head, put the fabricator, technician , plumber, electrician together but got the job done .
Thanks to Mr RANADE from MAPUSA who made numerous trips up to ASSNORA trying to see the best way to install the same.

The biggest issue with homeless people is their bath .
After being on the streets for months/ years , they just refuse to have a bath .
And if these same homeless men are a bit unsound then a regular bath is totally ruled out as the water is cold. 
Care givers go crazy at times. 
Going thru alot of trouble treating them for health issues because of no regular bath.
But that all changed yesterday, as today and everyday henceforth they will be getting hot water to have a bath just because of this SOLAR WATER UNIT.
Also as most homeless people are mostly unsound mind, they have no control over their toilet habits. 
That means soiled clothes, towel , bedsheets are all an issue. 
Inspite of a washing machine, the germs or bacteria does not go off .
Only hot water is the solution .
We still have 3 more homeless homes, 2 are total priority where more such homeless unsound men are looked after and these homes too can do with a 
SOLAR WATER UNIT.

FREE BREAKFAST OUTSIDE THE GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS

FOOD  BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA has been daily feeding to those in need FREE BREAKFAST outside THE GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS AT :

☆ IPHB & GMC BAMBOLIM 
☆ DISTRICT HOSPITAL MAPUSA 
☆ DISTRICT HOSPITAL MARGAO.
Attached a few pictures of the serving done today at all 3 locations all between 
7.30 an to 9.15 am .
These volunteers come daily be it rain or no rain .
In fact at BAMBOLIM , its 2 senior citizens serving the breakfast. 
Daily we send to all 3 locations, meals for 300+ people .
With the demand increasing as I am sure there are a lot of poor people requiring something to eat , we will be trying to double this to serve 600 people daily breakfast .
We would and keen to also serve lunch in the afternoon at all 3 above places and looking for volunteers in 3 different places who can drive and help in the serving afternoon.
The lockdown has taken away many people livelihood and this is the least we can do to help these poor people who might be getting their only meal at out van .

DRY RATION TO HIV INFECTED PEOPLE IN GOA

We at STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA reach out daily to some section of society who requires help. 
We just can't sit quite.

Today its help in the form of dry ration to 50 HIV infected people in Goa .
Attached a small video .
We @ Street Providence were one of the 1st NGO way back in Dec 2017 to collect and buy ration and distribute to poor families who are suffering from HIV .
We have been supporting about 50 such families every month faithfully without missing a month. 
☆ In North Goa we donate 25 kits of               ration of which 50 % are purchased &         50 % are donated. 
☆ In South Goa all 25 kits of ration are           donated and taken care by our FOOD         BANK volunteers @ MARGAO headed       by Prof Joan and a couple of                       benefactors , month after month. 
Be Covid 19 or any any other situation , ration for these 50 HIV infected families will go on .
One point to conclude , non of us have actually seen any of these HIV infected families, but the people who distribute this ration , have been faithfully distributing this 50 kits of ration month after month.

POLICE personal are 1 of the frontline warriors in this fight against COVID 19.
We are aware of how police personal have got affected in Mumbai due to Covid 19 .
The video will explain the benefits of the machine .
The 1st half is in konkanni and the other half is in English. 
It costs Rs 20000 and its fully automatic .
No negative comments please as it's a small gesture from our Trust towards 
GOA Police @ PORVORIM police station. 
We are keen to install another 25 such automatic hand SANITIZING machine in the remaining 25 police stations across Goa .

COMMSCOPE CO. VERNA OFFERED US EXTRA FOOD.

FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA GOA thanks COMMSCOPE COMPANY VERNA for offering us their extra food daily enough to feed more than 100 meals daily.
On 8.6.2020 , we had posted on social media, requesting factories to give away extra food to the food bank instead of returning it to the canteen contractor. 
COMMSCOPE COMPANY @ VERNA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE , replied through their Directir Mr RAVI REBELLO and from 9.6.2020 we have started picking up food .
Food Bank installed a fridge in CommScope canteen. 
Every afternoon we pick up hot food from the factory , which is partly used in our rehabilitation homes at Margao & Cavelossim for dinner and partly served on the streets in Margao to homeless people. 
Night food is dropped in the fridge which is in the factory and at 9 am we collect this food which is used for lunch for our homeless street men .
Thanks to the management at CommScope and Mr Ravi Rebello , We are now saving money because of the food as well as we are getting a variety of veg food .
From 21.3.2020 till 9.6.2020 , both these homes were cooking plain Rice & Dhal .
But that has now changed. 
From 1.12.2017 till 21.3.2020 , food bank had so much of food coming in that non of our homes ever cooked any meals. 
In fact for the lockdown period most unsound men refused to eat plain food .
If you are working in a factory/ industry and you are aware that the extra food is taken away by the canteen contractor or is being thrown then please give it to the food bank .
As usual there are always costs involved in feeding the poor as well as looking after homeless street people. 
We offer you INCOME TAX exemption under 80G on all your donations.

FOOD  BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA , GOA , through our volunteers Rajesh, Orlando & Asim have distributed cooked food in bulk in Margao , to a couple of homeless labourers and poor street people inspite of heavy rains .
It's a commitment to serve in all weathers.
