In the last 18 months of constant love care compassion and treatment @ Street Providence Goa, a homeless Goan , Mr Ganesh Shirodkar has been 100% cured of mental disabilities & severe depression.
The below link will show you as on 28.10.23, a brand new Ganesh, talking , walking, working and leading a Normal life , but still under a few psychiatric medication. 👇
The link below was Ganesh in 18.2.2022, totally in depression with severe mental disabilities and for months if not years sleeping on the streets of Shiroda in dirt and filth. 👇
And this entire transformation has been provided absolutely FREE OF COST as he has no one to pay us his bills.
It has not been easy as Ganesh was very hyper, aggressive, complicated to handle and twice he ran away from the home.
But we went behind him, searched him and tracked him down and treated him, as he is one of those really sad & frustrating cases of being a Goan & being homeless due to mental disabilities
And there are 100's of such Goans in Goa in all villages and cities living a pathetic and screwed up life suffering from mental disabilities as they are failed by –
☆ 1. Government of Goa through the Social Welfare Department ,
☆ 2. Society ie you and me ,
☆ 3. NGO's / Activists who just don't take up such causes as there is no resources to make here,
☆ 4. Office of State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities &
☆ 5. The Goa Police in particular.
All of the above are daily failing such poor goans and no one cares a damn.
Till Dec 2021 , Goa Police had a good set of Senior Police Inspectors who were pro friendly to the people on the streets suffering from mental disabilities.
But the current batch of Police Inspectors from Jan 2022 are not inclined to addressing the issues of Homeless poor people on the streets with mental disabilities including our own Goans.
We are doing our bit but the system sucks and it's gone to the dogs.
It's not easy for us to get help to these 100's of Goans on the streets without the Support of –
》1. The Goa Police
》2. The Social Welfare Department
》3. The Government of Goa
We will be highliting continously about 130+ homeless Goan & 30 + non goans in our homes and how they have been cared and transformed in our shelter homes FREE OF COST.
One good thing ” NO GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT has ever troubled our shelter Homes in the last 6 years ” but we need the Government to address the issues of Poor homeless Goans on the streets suffering from mental disabilities.
We have survived only due to Generous benefactors and we thank so many benefactors who are standing with us last 6 years.
Rehabilitation and care towards the poor goans with disabilites is very expensive and burns huge holes in my pocket continously.
