One of Goa's oldest NGO , ASSISTENCIA Goa & one of Goa's biggest Company with a strength of thousands of employees, supports our food bank program in feeding the poorest of the poor in Goa & in India.

May 2017 , I started a food bank fridge in a small way to collect extra cooked food and feed the poor in Goa @ Sangolda. 

Today Oct 2023 , we are the biggest and the only GOAN registered Food Bank across Goa, consistently and daily collecting & saving 500 kgs of cooked food from reaching the bins through our Food bank and this food collected daily is fed to the poorest of the poor both :

in our 10 shelter homes &

in other places where we have identified the hungry and the needy in Goa.

But along with cooked food,  we have been consistently providing, by buying month after month, dry ration and packing kits of rs 1000 each, for hundreds of poor GOAN families in rural parts of Goa & across other states in India.

ALL THROUGH A HUGE DEDICATED NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS .

And we have not only doing this in Goa but in Jharkhand, Sikkim & Manipur.

Poor people across the World are always looking for food to beat hunger and that's why food banks are the need of the hour.

Raising resources is challenging but doing what we have been doing consistently has brought two entities to our aid @ Street Providence. 

☆ 1. ASSISTENCIA Goa, has provided us a grant to feed dry ration for three months to 40 goan families which we have identified in Canacona & Sanguem taluka through our 2 local volunteers in that area.

☆ 2. One of Goa's biggest Company, with a strength of thousands of emlpoyees ,  has given us a MASSIVE GRANT to feed 500 poor families for six months across India 

This is a huge boost to our small NGO , that this big company has trusted us in our services to the poor , needy & the deserving hungry.

We work hard , strong and Loud in all fields concerning the poorest of the poor, 1st in Goa & now in many states in India.

In any conflict or disaster , children, women , elderly, those with disabilities are the worst sufferers and usually malnutrition effects this section.

During COVID 19, we had secured a huge grant from Azim Premji Foundation where by we fed 5000+ families across GOA dry ration kits worth Rs 1000 each for close to 3 months.

ENDING HUNGER & HOMELESSNESS is our MOTTO and we are working at the moment only across India through our Food bank programs & our shelter homes.

But, at the right time very soon, we will be setting up operations beyond the shores of India, as we now have a huge and committed team to scale up our relief work to those caught up in natural calamities and conflicts.

We Goans are always branded as Susegad but @ Street Providence we DARE TO DREAM.

Many associations, clubs , groups, entities , companies , can always support us as we provide Food & shelter across India to the poorest of the poor. But that requires money.

It's a big big boost and we are overwhelmed with Gratitude that these two entities ie         “ASSISTENCIA Goa ” & 

“one of Goa's biggest manufacturing company ” has understood that there are needs of the poor who are suffering from poverty & hunger both in Goa & across India and we will be there to support these poor families to the best of our abilities.
