STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA supplies 6000 litres ( 500 crts ) of bottled water to our water starved Goan villagers at DABEL – POINGUNIM, CANACONA, GOA today and surrounding villages.
2 days back social media as well as print media highlighted how villagers at DABEL are walking a distance to get drinking water.
As part of our WATER BANK @ STREET PROVIDENCE we purchased 500 crts of packaged water on credit and delivery was done at DABEL, family wise.

ALL SURROUNDING POINGUNIM, CANACONA.
Our volunteers at the WATER BANK @ STREET PROVIDENCE stands with these villagers at DABEL and and a couple of other villages in the surrounding as these 5 to 6 villages are parched and dont get water at times for 4 to 5 days .
The villagers of these 5 villages were very grateful and this is the least we can do at their of hour of thirst.

Who drove at 7 am from porvorim and reached back at 6.30 pm after distributing the water crts in today cracking heat.
They must have travelled total 250 kms up and down.
Thanks to AKSHAY and his 2 friends who came from CURCHOREM to support us and help us distribute this 500 crts of water .

If the situation does not get better and if there is a request officially from the villagers we can even send tanker water everyday.

For more than 5 years our WATER TAPS at CHOGM ROAD, SANGOLDA have been offering daily 1000 litres of water 24 × 7 to the those in need free of cost.
Today we got to see the reality of interior GOA , and how life is simple, yet cruel at times .
Surely there must be other places in GOA where water is in short supply .
