HAS BEEN RUNNING A CLOTHES DRIVE ( ESPECIALLY WARM CLOTHES ) TO SEND TO RELIEF CAMPS AND OTHER PLACES IN INDIA

6.11.2023. 8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA has been running a clothes drive ( especially warm clothes ) to send to relief camps and other places in India and in just 15 days the response has been overwhelming.
A small 4 min video which will explain you alot.👇
Initially people asked me ” why to pay you to take clothes ” ?
My answer : Don't pay me and don't give me the clothes.
I am not forcing no one to give me their old clothes.
But by giving away your warm clothes :
☆ 1. Some one gets warmth
☆ 2. Garbage is reduced
☆ 3. We can run more homes for the homeless with your donations.
☆ 4. The unit which is doing our laundry is giving us 50% discount on the washing, ironing, etc
and all the staff in this unit are rescued women who are getting a salary to start their life again.
☆ 5. You are decluttering your wardrobe
☆ 6. Positive energy when you open your wardrobe.
Your donation touches 3 sections of the weakest section of society.
And if you still are reluctant to give away your GOOD OLD USED clothes, then I can't do much.
Choice is yours with the reasons stated above.
Look around and see the suffering various people are going through in India , like :
◇ Non stop floods montn after month in ◇ various states,
◇ Earthquakes,
◇ Internal conflicts,
◇ Increasing poverty & homeless people.
Clothes , towels , bedsheets,  etc are always needed in these places.
We are collecting and keeping such items ready to send to so many poor people.
But the costs are not easy to bear by our NGO.
Collecting, sorting, cleaning & laundry, rent of Godowns, packaging , transporting to different state , plus labour costs at all points is why we are taking a donation along with your clothes.
With the climate change , winters are going to be more than what we expect in North India and least we can do is give warm clothes to our fellow Indians.

RESCUES AND REACHED OUT TO THIS MAHARASHTRAIN MAN MR. SHRIKRISHNA JUST OUTSIDE GMC HOSPITAL

4.11.2023. 8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA rescues and reached out to this Maharashtrain man, Mr  ShriKrishna, just outside GMC hospital, with his leg full of worms & maggots, while many saw him in miserable state but just ignored him.
Why ?
Because it's assumed that all homeless living like him on the streets in Goa will be rescued, picked up, cleant & rehabilitated by Street Providence.
So everyone calls us.
That was something we used to do earlier.
Now we are slowly getting out / reducing the  picking up homeless from the Streets as THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT LISTENING TO OUR GENUINE DIFFICULTIES.
We have issued a letter to DGP, Goa Police almost 6 months back,  stating that from 1.1.24 we will not be in a position to pick up homeless street people due to reasons listed down in that letter .
And guess what ?
DGP Office has sent the same copy to all Police officials without replying to us.
That means no one cares & no poor lives are important.
A top current Minister in the Government of Goa, was kind enough to visited our office last month to understand our disappointments & we listed out the genuine issues.
The Minister has placed before The CM of GOA all our genuine issues STRICTLY concerning the Homeless in Goa on the streets.
If we don't get our Genuine issues sorted out by The CM of Goa , we will be forced to stop picking Homeless from the streets from 1.1.24.
We are currently only taking in / rehabilitating POOR GOANS suffering from all types disabilities before they reach the streets of Goa or genuine Goans on the streets of Goa who have some sort of relatives who request us to help in their rehabilitation.
For non Goans on the streets in Goa , we have shelter homes started in Maharashtra, Karnataka & Jharkhand where Goa Police has to repatriate these homeless non Goans back to their respective states and we will rehabilitate them, free of cost , but in Goa its going to be rehabilitation for only Goans from 1.1.2024.
There are hundreds / thousand of poor genuine Goans suffering from mental disabilities
asking / begging / pleading for rehabilitation else these hundreds / thousand will reach the streets.
Well ShriKrishna was all unclean, foul smell, weak and in total despair, on the paymnet just touching the bambolim highway,  outside GMC SUBWAY , waiting 3 to 4 days for help which never came till today at 2 pm when we arrived as Mrs Suzette Advani has been pestering me to help him.
We took our team and gave him a bath on the pavement, changed his clothes, opened his dirty filthy bandage , washed his maggot infected leg with Saline & then applied betadine.
We got 108 Ambulance to bandage his wounds and take him to casualty at GMC which they did.
And guess what , in flat 2 hours, after touch up in the casualty , Mr ShriKrishna was back on the streets.
So we took him to our shelter home late evening and got him all cleant up and we will rehabilitate & care for him.
His leg and foot is totally messed up to an extent the maggots have eaten away his flesh and only after a proper assessment at the District hospital Mapusa we will understand his parameters.
It's going to be alot of hospital trips, daily cleaning and bandaging, medication and very difficult to say if he is a psychiatric patient or not.
Totally undernourished and stressed with high blood pressure and all unhealthy symptoms.
Today rescue was a team work by our 2  rehabilitated men in the Video :
♡ Mr Altaf yellow T shirt &
♡ Mr Ashish strips T Shirt
Both of them 2 years back were in the same condition of Mr ShriKrishna on the streets crawling and in dirt.
Infact Mr Ashish was picked up from the Subway of GMC with a total fractured head.
But our rehabilitation program gets everyone back to their feet in the best of health and quite a number of these homeless men stay back to help me in reaching out to others on the streets and to care for the hundred plus men in our homes.
Today rescue was not a Favour by me or my team to Mr ShriKrishna but it's a freaking difficult and complicated SERVICE which needs daily funding and continues support from all Government departments.
God bless you all

STREET PROVIDENCE GOA IS COLLECTING SECOND HAND USED MATTRESSES

3.11.2023  8pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA is collecting Second hand used mattresses –
both Single & double size ,
both  king & queen size ,
right from your door step in Goa only, for the poor and the needy.
All you need to do is pay us for the transportation, labour , repairs and delivery charges to the poor person who will be given this mattresses.
Sounds Strange ?  But Why Pay ?
Well mattresses are one of the items constantly reaching the dumps or at times gets burnt.
This is leading to garbage issues at times.
So basically You are reducing the garbage issue by giving away your mattresses for the poor.
Secondly, there are very few exchange offers on one's old mattresses so the old mattresses are just burnt or dumped in unwanted places.
Third, alot of poor children or poor families can be given a little comfort by these old mattresses reaching their homes.
The biggest issue is – recycling of used old mattresses.
One of the way to recycle old good used mattresses like :
☆ Open coil mattresses
☆ Memory foam bed
☆ Hybrid foam mattresses
☆ Latex mattresses
☆ Pocket spring mattresses ,
is giving it away to an NGO like ours which then will give it away :
》to the poorest of the poor in Goa or
》to children in boarding Schools out of Goa or
》to our ever increasing no of shelter homes.
But the costs are a big concen which includes :
☆ 1.Transportation from your house + labour,
☆ 2.Storage of these 2nd hand mattresses – Rent,
☆ 3.Transportation + labour to the repair workshop,
☆ 4.Once repaired then get it back to the Storage,
☆ 5. then transportation + labour to the poor families.
Mattresses are big and bulky , so labour & hired transportation is a worrying factor.
Usually A Tempo or A Rickshaw is needed.
But when the 2nd hand mattreses reaches the poor and needy, their blessings and good wishes reaches you & your family.
I have seen hundreds of poor children especially in rural India sleep on hard wet floors in boarding due to economic conditions.
I have seen poor children in rural India going to school in torn and tattered clothes & worn out shoes carrying old and dilapidated school bags.
We are starting shelter homes across rural India in many states to rehabilitate the homeless street people with disabilities and during the setting-up of these homes which most are in villages , I see many many poor children & families and I always felt disappointed at how they live.
And here in Goa, we just dump in the garbage anything and everything without a thought of our fellow Indians living a difficult life.
Just last week, we started a clothes drive where you pay rs 5000 for 30 clothes and we come home & pick your clothes – belive me in 7 days, more than 25 families have donated their warm clothes plus paid us the donation.
Coming week we have another 50 families to pick their used clothes to give to the poor.
We are simultaneously working on a plan to collect daily 1000 kgs of cooked food from a particular section of society which throws daily more than 5000+ kgs of cooked food.
And again this section of Society giving this 1000 kgs of food daily ( of the total 5000 kgs being thrown our daily) is paying us to take this food and to feed 3000 meals daily across Goa.
Else it reaches the bins.
We need resources daily to do what we do BEST.
Our NGO works at the ground level both in :
◇ GOA,
Across India &
( may be very soon out of India )

◇ Feeding the hungry ,
◇ Clothing the naked,
◇ Sheltering the homeless,
◇ Caring for the sick,
◇ Building homes for the displaced ,
◇ Organizing relief for the displaced ,
◇ Providing medication for the poorest of the poor.
But it's all about raising resources and doing these difficult , complicated & not so admired services ( as not many volunteer for these above free of cost services ).
So before you feel we are collecting a donation to take away your used clothed or your used mattresses, please read the post from the start again and slowly.
You can still decide how, where or why to dispose of your old Second hand mattresses.
The choices are yours but we are waiting to help you.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages on 8380097564.
God bless you all

HELP US RAISE 9000 MORE CHRISTMAS BOXES FOR THOSE IN RELIEF CAMPS IN THE NEXT 16 DAYS.

1.11.2023. 8Pm IST
Help us raise 9000 more Christmas Boxes for those in relief Camps in the next 16 days.
With Christmas festival round the corner exactly in 55 days from today let's bring that little extra joy to those displaced due to the conflict.
Our post on 25.10 2023 , 👇
As of today we have got  1000 boxes donations of the targeted 10000 boxes.
We understand there is a little of ” why give sweets from Goa ? “. “Why not basic ration “.
Well as of October , we are currently giving every ration to 500 families starting from October 23 to March 24 , valued at rs 20 lacs which covers both communities in camps.
Sweets boxes are just to bring that extra joy .
Infact for Diwali festival,  sweet boxes of one type are on the way which will reach Imphal latest by the 8th November and our one Volunteer will be in Imphal to distribute these Diwali sweet boxes.
A Festival is that only time where the Spirit of Joy and happiness comes ALIVE  &  in relief camps currently its only about DESPAIR & DISAPPOINTMENT with nothing to look forward too.
( As I write this post , tomorrow there is a shutdown again in some parts of Manipur.)
You can play that little part As Santa by supporting this Christmas hamper which leaves Goa in our 4th truck being flagged off by
The Archbishop of Manipur on 18.11.23.
We understand that buying the Christmas cookies from CREAMUX & Bebinca from REGO FOODS is a logistical issue to our benefactors, but we wish to stick to one brand and one packing to avoid confusion while packing as well as distribution in the camps.
We have a list of few of our volunteers who you can call incase you require help in donating these Christmas Hampers.
Christmas in Goa is always celebrated in a big way and I know it's too early for the excitement, but due to logistical and transportation issues we need to get these hampers by 1st December into the camps .
We are HUMBLY requesting for support to raise 9000 hampers @ just rs 300 a hamper ie
[ 1 cookie box Rs 200 & 1 Bebinca Rs 100 ]
as attached in the post.
God bless you so much

REV. FR. DOMNIC LUMON DD, THE ARCHBISHOP OF MANIPUR WILL BE IN GOA FOR THREE DAYS, SPECIFICALLY TO EXTEND HIS THANKSGIVING TO THE PEOPLE OF GOA

30.10.2023. 7pm IST
The Archbishop of Imphal, His Excellency, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD, is visiting Goa, and together with the people of Goa, will express gratitude to God for the restoration of peace in Manipur as well as to thank God for peace in the middle east.
This expression of thanks will be conveyed through celebration of  Holy Mass scheduled for
November 18, 19 & 20th , 2023
Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD, the Archbishop of Manipur, will be in Goa for three day, specifically to extend his thanks to the people of Goa for their support in providing relief materials to the people of Manipur.
At the age of 75 and nearing retirement, Archbishop Rev. Father Domnic Lumon DD accepted our invitation to visit Goa for a 3 days visit.
Over the past few months, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD has faced numerous challenges as he acted as a Good Shepherd for the displaced and vulnerable people in relief camps.
These challenges include his hearing impairment and advancing age.
Nevertheless, Archbishop Rev. Father Domnic Lumon DD has continued to lead with dedication and resolve during these last six months.
Our NGO received an official letter from the Archbishop of Imphal on June 26, 2023, requesting aid for the displaced people, including sending trucks from Goa with materials that were not readily available in Manipur during the conflict.
Our organization, Street Providence, has honored the commitment made on June 26, 2023, to the Archbishop of Imphal.
As of October 20, 2023, benefactors from Goa have contributed over Rs 1.25 crores in aid, and more support is on the way.
The itinerary for the Archbishop of Imphal during his visit to Goa is as follows:
November 17 , 2023: Arrival in Goa in the evening

☆ November 18, 2023: Blessing of the 4th relief truck at 10 am @ St Francis Xavier church Duler

☆ November 18, 2023: Blessing of our 10th shelter home at 11 am @ FMCK , Candolim.

☆ November 18, 2023: Holy Mass @ St Thomas Church,  Aldona @ 4 pm.

☆ November 19 , 2023: Holy Mass @ Rosary church,  Navelim at 9.45 am.

☆ November 20, 2023 : Holy Mass at Pilar at 6pm

☆ November 20 , 2023: Departure for Imphal late at night
As this marks his final official journey outside of Manipur in his capacity as the Archbishop of Imphal, with the new Archbishop assuming office on December 8th , 2023, let's come together to ensure that his visit to Goa is a cherished and spiritually enriching experience.
It's a challenging task for most of us to comprehend the responsibilities he bears at his age, particularly over the last six months.
Nevertheless, Reverend Father Domnic Lumon DD has admirably fulfilled his role as an Archbishop and a Shepherd.
Archbishop Domnic Lumon humorously mentions that “DD” stands for “DARE to DELIVER.”
If you wish to be part of this Thanksgiving program in any way you can, please feel free to reach out via WhatsApp at 8380097564.
The last visit of the Archbishop of Imphal to Goa was many many years ago, and this presents a unique opportunity for the people of Goa to extend their warm hospitality and affection to this remarkable individual who, despite his age, remains youthful in heart and mind before his retirement.
Do share this post and others details witn your friends, relatives and dear ones.
God bless you all so much

IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS OF CONSTANT LOVE CARE COMPASSION AND TREATMENT @ STREET PROVIDENCE A HOMELESS GOAN , MR. GANESH SHIRODKAR HAS BEEN 100% CURED OF MENTAL DISABILITIES & SEVERE DEPRESSION

29.10.2023  8pm IST
In the last 18 months of constant love care compassion and treatment @ Street Providence Goa,  a homeless Goan , Mr Ganesh Shirodkar has been 100% cured of mental disabilities & severe depression.
The below link will show you as on 28.10.23, a brand new Ganesh, talking , walking, working and leading a Normal life , but still under a few psychiatric medication. 👇
The link below was Ganesh in 18.2.2022, totally in depression with severe mental disabilities and for months if not years sleeping on the streets of Shiroda in dirt and filth. 👇
And this entire transformation has been provided absolutely FREE OF COST as he has no one to pay us his bills.
It has not been easy as Ganesh was very hyper, aggressive, complicated to handle and twice he ran away from the home.
But we went behind him, searched him and tracked him down and treated him, as he is one of those really sad & frustrating cases of being a Goan & being homeless due to mental disabilities
And there are 100's of such Goans in Goa in all villages and cities living a pathetic and screwed up life suffering from mental disabilities as they are failed by –
☆ 1. Government of Goa through the Social Welfare Department ,
☆ 2. Society ie you and me ,
☆ 3. NGO's / Activists who just don't take up such causes as there is no resources to make here,
☆ 4. Office of State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities &
☆ 5. The Goa Police in particular.
All of the above are daily failing such poor goans and no one cares a damn.
Till Dec 2021 , Goa Police had a good set of Senior Police Inspectors who were pro friendly to the people on the streets suffering from mental disabilities.
But the current batch of Police Inspectors from Jan 2022 are not inclined to addressing the issues of Homeless poor people on the streets with mental disabilities including our own Goans.
We are doing our bit but the system sucks and it's gone to the dogs.
It's not easy for us to get help to these 100's of Goans on the streets without the Support of –
》1. The Goa Police
》2. The Social Welfare Department
》3. The Government of Goa
We will be highliting continously about 130+ homeless Goan & 30 + non goans in our homes and how they have been cared and transformed in our shelter homes FREE OF COST.
One good thing ” NO GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT  has ever troubled our shelter Homes in the last 6 years ” but we need the Government to address the issues of Poor homeless Goans on the streets suffering from mental disabilities.
We have survived only due to Generous benefactors and we thank so many benefactors who are standing with us last 6 years.
Rehabilitation and care towards the poor goans with disabilites is very expensive and burns huge holes in my pocket continously.
WE DARE TO DREAM and RECOVERY IS 100% ASSURED.
God bless you so much

THREE MONTHS BACK , CAME ON A WHEELCHAIR TO OUR HOME , TODAY WALKS PERFECTLY BY HIMSELF

28.10.2023. 7Pm IST
Three months back , came on a wheelchair to our home , today walks perfectly by himself.
Wilson, suffered a stroke , was jobless , penniless , needed a full time care taker, was in depression,  stress and demotivated.
About 3 months ago , called me, begged & pleaded for help & we admitted into our home.
Today walking without  help.
Our Stroke recovery centre @ Street Providence, cares & rehabilitates poor homeless people who suffer strokes and are helpless.
Our Young Physiotherapist Miss ( Dr ) Charmaine from Porvorim, has been putting in alot of effort 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, last one year, treating more than 40 + such wheel bound and bed ridden as well as stroke effected men & women to get back on their feet from our 6  homes in North Goa District.
Wilson George is one of them.
The above link was exactly uploaded 3 months back when we admitted him.☝️
Today you can hear and see all 3 small videos of his sickness as well as his recovery.
The treatment is FREE OF COST.
We managed to stabilize his body as well as his mind in a clean green surrounding with the most FRESHEST AIR in Goa ( @ St Michael Chapel Assonora ).
Stroke patients usually are difficult to handle as they need to be bathed , fed , helped to use the washroom , and all other daily chores.
Besides due to the stroke they suffer, they get into depression and loose motivation in life.
But @ Street Providence STROKE RECOVERY CENTRE ,  it's just the opposite as we have mastered the ART of getting people out of depression and helping them recover from mental disabilities.
Each and every bed ridden , wheel chair bound or stroke affected person is given a personal and a caring touch by the entire team and till date our success rate is 100%
We are ALWAYS sure that every admission is CURED , HEALED & DELIVERED from all the suffering they are going through irrespective of their past & irrespective of their medical condition at the time of their admission.
Today we have more than 75+ such people who are either bed ridden, wheel chair bound, stroke affected, incapicated , crippled and physically disabled in our 9 homes, who are also suffering from mental disabilities & other sickness, also on diapers.
Challenging , difficult, complicated, expensive but yet POSSIBLE.
And we provide all services FREE OF COST to the poorest of the poor and the homeless.
The most interesting part in Wilson rehabilitation & recovery is I AM YET TO MEET HIM.
Both of us have not yet met each other.
It's all about team work and not me as an individual making videos and uploading myself like you see now a days.
WE DARE TO DREAM & RECOVERY IS ASSURED.

THE SECRET TO FINDING TRUE HAPPINESS IN LIFE LIES IN BEING A BLESSINGS TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE

27.10.2023. 8pm IST
The secret to finding true happiness in life lies in being a blessing to those less fortunate, even if they can never physically thank you, return the favor, or even cross paths with you.
Sounds strange?  Do you wonder why you should help others in the first place or why doing good matters?
Allow me to elucidate.
A. In 2017, when we launched our very first food fridge, numerous individuals hesitated to put their extra food in it. They insisted that I personally pick up the food from their homes at inconvenient hours, or else they would rather throw it away.
However, over the past six years, we have managed to collect approximately 500 kilograms of quality cooked food ” daily” through our fridges and food programs, which we use to feed the needy.
Who contributes food to the fridge remains a mystery.
Who consumes this food is also a mystery to those who give the food.
Nonetheless, three significant outcomes have emerged:
☆ 1. Each year, we prevent 150,000 kilograms of food from ending up in landfills thanks to the food fridges, providing some relief to the garbage problem.
☆ 2. We distribute the equivalent of 450,000 meals (1 kilogram equals three meals, and each meal is 350 grams) annually to the most underprivileged individuals, enabling them to savor a good meal.
☆ 3. Those who donate their surplus food receive spiritual blessings from these underprivileged individuals who would otherwise go hungry.
Both parties – the giver and the receiver are strangers to each other, but this cycle persists.
B. Similar to our fridges, we established shelter homes with the support of generous donors who make our homes operational.
The majority of these benefactors (99%) do not know me personally, but they must have a genuine reason for their contributions.
These shelter homes accommodate the poor, abandoned, unwanted, disabled, widowed, unmarried mothers, men, and women.
While we assist in their rehabilitation, many require lifelong psychiatric medication and cannot be left to fend for themselves.
They would resort to alcohol, tobacco, and other substances without support and guidance.
We leverage this workforce to run numerous projects that benefit more underprivileged individuals in different Indian states, not just in Goa.
C. A few months ago, we initiated the Manipur Relief project, which involved extensive labor for collecting, sorting, listing, packing, and storing materials.
Labor in Goa is relatively inexpensive, right?
Take a look at the linked video, which shows our third relief truck, a 32 ft. container headed to Manipur.
The entire labor force comes from our shelter homes.
Tons of materials have been collected across Goa by those we have rehabilitated in our homes, and 3 trucks have been dispatched to the relief camps.
Benefactors provide donations, and food bank fridges supply food.
The people from the shelter homes improve their lives, heal, get strong and in turn, work to assist others who may lack shelter or food or clothes.
Do all these participants know each other?
D. Recently, we started a unique initiative, collecting clothes from your doorstep to distribute to those in need across India for a nominal fee.
It's rare to hear that you need to pay someone to take your clothes.
But consider the other side of the coin:
◇ 1. Reduced waste in landfills.
◇ 2. A more organized closet.
◇ 3. Positive energy in your home.
◇ 4. Your donation provides warmth to someone in need.
◇ 5. Our NGO generates revenue to support more shelter homes.
Additionally, someone out there, wearing the clothes you donated, is praying and spiritually thanking you.
We all desire peace, joy, cleanliness, good health, a healthy lifestyle, and prosperity for our families.
However, look around and witness the pain and suffering, the waste, poverty, and the medications people rely on.
Above all, pause and recognize that we come into this world with nothing and leave with nothing.
We often expect the government to bring about change, but in today's world, that's often a mirage.
Instead, we need to alter our mindset and approach to address the challenges faced by the less fortunate in our state, country, and the world.
After reading this extensive post, if you seek happiness in life, revisit the opening paragraph and consider where you can play your part in experiencing the happiness you and your family aspire to enjoy.
In closing, I am not doing anyone a favor, but rather, I am giving back to society through my small acts of service.
Over the past few years, I have discovered how to reduce my reliance on a long list of medications through this ” my chosen path “, leading a medication-free life despite my demanding daily schedule, with a mandatory eight hours of sleep.
Give generously, and you will discover uninterrupted happiness and good health.

HELP US RAISE FOR THOSE FAMILIES DISPLACED IN RELIEF CAMPS IN MANIPUR TO BRIGHTEN UP THEIR CHRISTMAS SEASON

25.10.2023
◇◇◇ Help us raise :
10000 boxes of Christmas cookies &
10000 Bebinca for those families displaced in RELIEF CAMPS in Manipur to brighten up their Christmas season.
As winter tiptoes into Manipur, and after nearly six months of displacement, there is still a sense of uncertainty and despair among those currently residing in relief camps in Manipur.
Life in these camps might be tough, but with Diwali and Christmas just around the corner …… guess what?  we've got a plan to add a dash of happiness to their lives!
What lies ahead for those in the camps who have no homes to return to? Since life in these relief camps is far from the comfort of our cozy homes, and we aim to make it a bit brighter and more bearable.
To battle the winter chill, we've sent a whopping 9,180 brand new blankets to the relief camps in Manipur.
Warm clothes are on the way too on our fourth truck, courtesy of our ongoing clothes drive.
But that's not all; we're bringing a taste of Goa to these displaced Manipuris in the Relief Camps.
When tragedy strikes – either natural or man-made, most of us feel sad initially and then move on with our lives.  But those in the relief camps are unable to move on, and are still braving it out in their new make shift environment.
They and their children continue to live with the fear, sadness and uncertainty in their lives.
Imagine any festival celebration in total despair and uncertainty.  What impression it has on children?
Hence during this festive season of Diwali and Christmas, our NGO has decided to send to Manipur a tiny piece of Goa to make them smile and restore their hope in Humanity.

We're talking about
☆ 10,000 pieces of Regos Bebinca (in 250-gram boxes) &
☆ 10,000 pieces of Cremeux Christmas cookies, ready to make them smile.
This might just a small gesture of love from Goa, but it's packing a whole lot of spirit-lifting goodness!
Our little gesture, paired with warm clothes that will be sent in the 4th truck, will not only warm their bodies but also lift their spirits, thanks to the sweet bebinca and cookies straight from the heart of Goa.
Here's the plan:
》Each Cremeux Christmas Cookie box is priced at a breezy Rs. 200.

》Each Rego Bebinca 250-gram box is a sweet deal at Rs. 100.
These manufacturers are playing Santa by offering rates far below the MRP, all for the joy of MANIPUR RELIEF.
It's important to note that the cookies have a two-month validity, so we need to order well in advance of Christmas. This allows for manufacturing, storage, transportation, and redistribution to the camps, which typically takes about 30 days.
You can be part of this sweet squad and support this cause in two ways:
Visit any of the 16 CREMEUX outlets across Goa, purchase Rs. 200 coupon for a cookie box, and drop it in the designated box at the counter.
Starting from 28.10.23, Coupons will be available at all CREMEUX outlets.
Then, please send us the coupon numbers via WhatsApp, and our volunteers will redeem them before November 15, 2023.
For Regos 250-gram Bebinca, which usually retails at Rs. 130, we have a special batch with a pre-printed sticker on each box and a special price of Rs. 100.
You can buy them in bulk directly from the factory at SANCOALE Industrial estate or allow us to purchase them for you.
Our fourth relief truck carrying these goodies and other relief material will depart on November 18, with the Archbishop of Imphal, His Grace, Rev Fr Domnic Lumon DD, flagging it off from Duler, Mapusa.
To ensure uniformity and avoid potential issues of comparison, please refrain from buying other brands of Christmas cookies and bebinca.
Our volunteers will be in Manipur to distribute Diwali sweet boxes procured from Imphal from November 11th to 13th and Christmas sweets from December 15th to 18th.
It is common for the urgency of crisis to fade from public consciousness as time passes, but we remain tirelessly at work in our relief efforts in Goa, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Manipur and soon enough, we're looking to spread our wings across the shores of India too.
We're not just dreamers; we're doers, no matter the hurdles or haters.
So, dear benefactors, you've got a BLESSED opportunity to spread the joy to those who need it most across India, in Manipur, ONE COOKIE BOX and ONE BEBINCA BOX at a time.
If each of us pitch in just five cookie boxes and five bebinca boxes, the total adds up to just Rs. 1500/-
That's the power of collective goodness!

God bless you all

CLOTHES FOR THE DISPLACED NEEDY BY STREET PROVIDENCE GOA

23.10.23  10 am IST
Clothes for the displaced needy by Street Providence Goa.
Too much pain and destruction, whether caused by human actions or natural disasters, leads to sorrow, hunger, illness, homelessness, despair, frustration, etc  affecting people both in India and around the world.
The individuals most profoundly impacted by this devastation are the poorest of the poor, including infants, young children, mothers, the elderly, people with disabilities, and the bedridden.
The winter season exacerbates/ adds to the suffering already endured by these individuals.
Starting on October 23, 2023, we will be collecting warm clothes, suits , blazers and other garments year-round to distribute to locations across India where the winters are harsher than those in Goa.
However, we kindly request a donation of Rs 5000 for every 30 pieces of clothing you contribute.
This request is made to cover the substantial expenses associated with collecting, cleaning, sorting, packing, storing, and transporting the clothing to their final destinations.
Here's a breakdown of the costs involved:
☆ 1. Clothes will be collected from your home, incurring transport costs – we have no points to drop nor any space in our 3×3 mtr office to accept.
☆ 2. All clothes will be sent to a laundry for washing, ironing, or dry cleaning, – again incurring laundry costs.
☆ 3. After the laundry, the clothes will be delivered to our 11 shelter homes in Goa for packing with camphor/ naptahline to maintain freshness –  again incurring further transport, labor, and packing material costs, among others.
☆ 4. The clothes must then be transported to the main warehouse for storage – Again involving transport costs, labor, and rental expenses.
☆ 5. A large truck must be hired to transport these clothes across India.
Such trucks can cost between Rs 2-3 lakhs for distances ranging from 2000 to 4000 kilometers.
The bills for each truck, containing 5000 to 7000 kgs of clothes, run into several lakhs of rupees and our NGO is unable to bear these costs.
When buying new clothes, we often spend hundreds or thousands of rupees per unit, but now you must decide if you can part with your 30 old clothes in any condition for a donation of Rs 5000.
We offer the convenience of picking up these clothes from your doorstep with an appointment.
Please note ” we don't have any drop points in Goa for clothes neither are we accepting any clothes in our shelter homes or in our office”.
It's essential to recognize that when you give away your old clothes, you're not doing anyone a favor; instead, the recipient is providing a service that involves significant time, effort, labor, and costs.
Please consider that, by donating your old clothes and contributing to the above costs, you are providing a service to those who are suffering through no fault of their own.
Your clothes always go to the poorest of the poor and not to the wealthy.
When you declutter your wardrobe, you're shedding unwanted emotions, and most people have closets full of clothes to give away.
Thus, the poorest of the poor are indirectly helping you rid yourself of negative energy and unwanted clutter.
However, there are costs involved in transporting these clothes from your closet to the needy person who will undoubtedly appreciate receiving clean and well-presented garments.
Reflect on this message and give it another read.
The poor around the world are in pain and dire circumstances, and mere expressions of sympathy, candle light march, street demonstration, peaceful demonstration,  etc
do little or rather make no differences to poor to  alleviate their suffering.
We work in many such relief camps & poor regions of India & we understand the pain that these poor people go through for months and even years.
Very soon our relief work will be expanded beyond the shores of India.
In recent months, we've witnessed unending destruction, conflict, hunger, suffering, and sickness on television, and many feel helpless in the face of these crises.
However, at Street Providence, we offer you the opportunity to bring hope to the hopeless through your clothing donations and financial contributions.
These donations will also support our shelter homes outside Goa, as the clothing will be distributed in states where our shelter homes operate or are in development mainly Jharkhand & Manipur for the moment , followed by other states in India.
We are prepared to accept anything and everything you wish to give away, but a donation is required to cover the transportation and labor costs for both picking up and distributing these items to those in need.
It's time to change our perspective and approach when giving away old and unwanted items, instead of accumulating clutter and negative emotions in our lives.
