FULL MONTH OF JANUARY 24 WE WILL ATTEMPT TO GET HELP TO POOR HOMELESS HOMELESS GOAN LADIES SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES ACROSS GOA

1.1.2024 5pm IST
📍God did not add another day / year to my & your life, because I and you needed it.
He added it because some 1 needs you & me📍
⚡A Very Happy New Year to one and all⚡
We @ Street Providence closed this year on a very satisfying note and we are going to start this new year on a even bigger note.
Full month of January 24 we will attempt to get help to poor homeless Goan ladies suffering from mental disabilities across Goa,  as God added another day / year for helping another.
We had a small press release today at the Office of The Social Welfare Department in the presence of The Social Welfare Director, Sir Ajit.
Unfortunately The Social Welfare Minister could not be present due to other important engagements.
We feel proud to be associated with three  important Government departments :
☆ Women & Child
☆ Social Welfare &
☆ Goa Police.
In the NEW year , particularly in JAN 24 , we wish to rehabilitate as many as possible, Goan poor  ladies suffering from mental disabilities and living on the ” STREETS , BUS STOPS , PARKS , GARDENS, ABANDONED IN GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS, etc.
For a small NGO like us its next to impossible to execute such difficult services alone and that's why we have requested the support of both Ministers ie :
◇ Women & Child Department &
◇ Social Welfare Department.
Mr Vishwajeet Rane as a dynamic person holds two important portfolios ie W&CD and HEALTH and homeless goan women will surely benefit once rescued from the streets as all of these women require professional medical care and treatment at Government hospitals as well as rehabilitation in women shelter homes.
Mr Vishwajeet Rane has been doing alot for women & children across Goa and its wonderful to get support for the homeless poor goan ladies suffering from mental disabilities and living a difficult life on the streets.
Mr Subhash Phal Dessai, heads Social Welfare Department & is no stranger to Street Providence as I keep troubling him often for different government schemes and support.
Mr Subhash Phal Dessai is always accessible for problems related to persons with disabilites and he provides solutions to my problems related to persons with disabilities which is something close to his heart .
Well @ Goa Police, headed by The Hon CM , we have always had the best of relationships across all Police stations in addressing the issues of rehabilitation of the homeless be it men , women & children.
Both the Directors ie of :
Women & Child and Social Welfare are highly motivated and every ready to support such any initiative concerning poor goan women on the streets suffering from mental disabilities.
It's easy to criticize and find fault with the Government and the Ministers & Directors and I too am guilty of criticizing the government as at times the frustrations are too much to handle.
That's why I have decided to enter the system and address the issues of only one sector
” homeless and poor goans on the streets with disabilities ” by networking with the Ministers and The Directors of both departments.
We request all people in Goa to be little sensitive & look around your ward / village/ city and identify such poor Goan ladies suffering on the streets due to mental disabilities.
♡ Contact us through whatsapp but immediately get on the back of your local MLA / SARPANCH / CHAIRPERSON/ WARD MEMBERS / COUNCILLORS & also approach your nearest police station to see that procedure is followed up in the rescue and rehabilitation of this Goan homeless lady.
Put pressure on the authorities we will surely provide rehabilitation & care free of cost.
But all admissions through the Goa Police only.
Please don't personally attempt to rehabilitate any homeless suffering from mental disabilities without the guidance and presence of Goa Police.
We all can work togther in our own areas in our own time seeing how best we can bring light and life in this New Year to many many poor Goan ladies suffering from mental disabilities.
We have close to 40 beds ready to accommodate our poor Goan ladies suffering from mental disabilities who are poor and homeless.
This is what NEW YEAR IS ABOUT & SHOULD BE ABOUT.
Remember :
📍God did not add another day / year to my & your life, because I and you needed it.
He added because some one needs you & me📍
Happy New Year 2024.

AS WE END THIS JOYFUL YEAR , I THANK GOD FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS , GRACE, PEACE OF MIND, GOOD HEALTH, SUPPORTIVE FAMILY & WONDERFUL BENEFACTORS

30.12.2023 10 pm IST
As we end this Joyful year , I thank God for all the blessings , Grace, Peace of Mind, Good Health, supportive family & wonderful benefactors.
I am aware alot of poor people did not have much to be happy about either due to poverty, sickness, unemployment, family issues or due to internal conflicts or natural disasters.
We @ Street Providence could reach out to the poorest of the poor , through many projects both in Goa & across INDIA due to the BENEFACTORS & the support we got from different government authorities.
In Goa we added new shelter homes especially for women, we provided dry rations kits month after month across Goa , we took in many homeless Goans suffering from disabilities, we increased our bed capacity from 150 to 240.
Across India, we started our 1st shelter home in Jharkhand.
But we worked very hard for over 7 months in the state of Manipur by providing relief through various programs like :
☆ 》Sending 4 relief trucks from Goa approx 1.5 crores worth,
☆ 》Providing education fees for displaced children,
☆ 》Providing huge quantity of medicines,
☆ 》Providing dry ration bought locally in Manipur,
☆ 》Setting up of our 1st shelter home in Manipur.
And all this only because of BENEFACTORS majority Goans as well as non goans.
And as we just finished Celebrating Christmas and as we start The New Year , it's so nice to be fortunate to be alive , active and up and running.
And for another year running I AM MEDICINE FREE inspite of the stress and non stop projects.
But we need to also understand how much poverty, pain , abandonment, sickness especially mental disabilities , displacement, etc is there both in Goa & across India.
We @ Street Providence thanks all our Trustees , Staff, Volunteers, Well wishers , Benefactors , Government officials for all the support shown to our NGO during this entire year.
Its not easy to raise resources daily for so many projects continously as one needs to be genuine and accountable.
In the New Year we have planned some major projects both in Goa & across India.
In Goa :
☆ 1. Attempting to collect DAILY 2000 to 5000 kgs fresh extra cooked food to feed thousand of poor people through a project which has taken 2 years to get going.

☆ 2. Attempting to see that no Goan lady suffering from disabilities is living on the streets of Goa due to lack of family support.

☆ 3. Increasing our bed capacity from 240 to 500 by increasing our current homes from 10 to 20.
Which means we can attempt to rehabilitate and care for 500 poor homeless goans suffering from disabilities.
In Jharkhand :
☆ We intend to open 4 more homes for the homeless and those with mental disabilities.
In Manipur :
☆ We are setting up 6 homes across different districts for both communities plus other projects.
In Maharashtra & Karnataka , we intend to start atleast 2 homes each.
Mental disabilities is a huge problem leading to homeless and abandonedment and we are focused only on rehabilitation on a priority
You too can play your part if your full year went perfectly well by supporting our work for the poorest of the poor.
We once again WISH YOU ALL A VERY HEALTHY & BLESSED NEW YEAR 2024
God bless you all

HON. CM OF GOA PLAYS SANTA TO OUR 50 POOR GOAN HOMELESS LADIES WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES IN OUR 5 SHELTER HOMES

28.12.2023. 4 pm. IST
Hon CM of Goa plays Santa to our
50 poor goan homeless ladies with mental disabilities in our 5 shelter homes and instructs W&CD to release all our dues including advances for 23-24.
This was instructed on 26.12.23 , Tuesday,
W&CD Issues 7 orders for 4 women shelter Homes on Wednesday 27.12.23 , by 2pm.
Amazing speed.
I am sure never ever before has any NGO got 7 orders issued in one day including advance.
Hon CM of Goa had met us on 16.12.23 at his residence along with 22 goan ladies with disabilities.
He assured to sort out and meet us again the following week but that did not happen due to genuine reasons.
Christmas day , CMO office fixes an appointment for 26.12.23 at 6pm with our NGO & W&CD officials,  ie  Director & Deputy Director.
I need to thank Two important staff of the CMO.
☆ 1. Mr Ajit Roy , IAS officer and Secretary to CM &
☆ 2. Mr Tushar Vernekar , Dysp Goa Police and incharge of CM Security.
I am sure both had briefed Hon CM about our work and kept CM updated about our genuine issues and troubles .
Hon CM sat patiently and listened to my never ending complaints and told W&CD to do the needful.
Hon CM was all ears to our issues and he was well aware of the struggles and frustration we are facing to the extent I even expressed that we are ready to shut down if the attitude of the DD from W&CD does not improve.
At no point of time did I get a feeling that
Hon CM was bored of our complaints and facts.
Hon CM Was surprised at what pathetic rates our shelter Homes are given these grants which were calculated in 2007.
Hon CM accepted the new proposed grants calculated at 2023 by the W&CD director and committed to get these amendment approved in the coming session of assembly and release the funds ASAP for 23-24.
Unfortunately we had to let go of the difference of 21-22 & 22-23 for 1 Shelter home under the Central Government scheme which is more than Rs 10 lacs as DD of W&CD could not convince or did not show the motivation, which ultimately we have to bear the loss.
Hon CM requested to close up the matter for 21-22 & 22-23 of this one home and although I showed my disappointment I had to respect the Hon CM and agree.
Hon CM was explained in detail how its next to impossible to care for poor Goan ladies with mental disabilities from the streets when the grant calculated in 2007 gives us just :
Rs 6000 as rent per month for 10 Ladies
Rs 1000 as food per month for 10 ladies , etc
The W&CD officials had no valid explanation to defend as the DD is not giving justice to her seat and her designation.
Hon CM heard more of my never ending complaints which included our poor goan men sufferings from mental disabilities in the mens homes, where again we get just Rs 2500 as the grant from Social Welfare Dept, but they give us these grants in advance & they give it cheerfully and promptly.
To my good blessings Social Welfare Minister Mr Subhash Phal Dessai was invited to join our meeting and Hon CM instructed the Social Welfare Minister to move a file to increase our grants from Rs 2500 to a substantial amount per goan homeless man with disabilities.
This file too will be approved by The Hon CM.
Hon CM also sorted out other financial issues regarding our poor homeless goans suffering from mental disabilities on the streets.
We now have two good officers in the CMO to take our future issues regarding any government officials who don't help and sort out our issues of running shelter Homes for the poor Goans on the streets with disabilities.
Hence forth , no government officials should avoid sorting out issues regarding homeless goans with disabilities as we will not sit quite.
Everywhere there are systems but there are in each department one freaking officer who does not use these systems which causes frustrations to people like me and bad name to the Department when we hit the streets.
Ultimately who gets the blame ? THE CM of The State.
Our fight for funds has strictly been against the DD of W&CD and not against the Minister or the Director.
With these huge amount of grants now released we in the New Year are going all out in starting  more homes for poor homeless goan women with disabilites.
The full month of January 2024 we will attempt to get 50 such poor goan homeless ladies off the streets or abandoned at hospitals or in the IPHB into our shelter Homes.
Many people last few days messaged me saying your funds are held up as :
》You are working in Manipur,
》You are a Catholic ,
》CM will not release your funds,
》You need to give a bribe to the officials,
》Elections are around the corner,
》Etc
I am providing a difficult service in Goa and across India in caring and looking after homeless street people with disabilities.
My religion is in my home and my faith is my personal matter.
I never ever discriminate about Caste creed or religion in our NGO and I never ever believe that this officer or minister is communal.
We @ Street Providence know our services has got value and we know that there are no other better shelter homes in Goa having a capacity of 240 beds currently providing and caring for with homeless with mental disabilities.
To support our Homes or to close down our Homes is the decision of the Government.
In this case The Hon CM of Goa has assured and committed all the support and we will definitely increase our bed capacity from 240 beds to 500 beds in the coming year 2024.
We are here to care & rehabilitate the poor homeless goans suffering from disabilities and who wants to think anything or comment anything are free to do so.
We are thankful to God for the Grace and strength to run these services as dealing with mental disabilities inmates is not easy as it can easily get to one's nerves and effect one's health.
All comments good or not good strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you so much

TODAY / TONIGHT AS WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF BABY JESUS, LET’S STAND WITH THE REFUGEES ACROSS INDIA & THE WORLD

24.12.23. 4pm IST
The Birth of Baby Jesus IN A MANGER, is a birth of a child, whose parents Blessed Joseph & Mother Mary had to move from Nazareth in Israel to Bethlehem in Palestine.
Imagine those 7 to 10 days moving 130 kms via Samaria on a donkey with Mother Mary carrying a Baby Jesus in her stomach.
After all, the trip would be hard on her. It was likely early in the autumn of the year, so light rains were possible as the dry season gradually ended.
Bethlehem was perched at a lofty altitude of over 2,500 feet (760 m)—quite a climb, an arduous end to a trek of several days.
Perhaps it would take longer than usual, for  Mary’s condition might require numerous periods of rest.
Now, of all times, a young woman might yearn to stay close to home, where she had family and friends who were ready to help when her birth pangs began.
Without a doubt, she needed to have courage to take this trip.
Today / tonight as we Celebrate The Birth of Baby Jesus, let's stand with the Refugees across India & the world.
Refugees are usually poor and unwanted who suffer hunger , sickness and homelessness.
In India we have a refugee like situation in Manipur and in the World its in Palestine.
Life in refugee camps is not easy at all and I am sure in both places Christmas celebration will be absolutely negligible.
I am standing in Solidarity with these refugees by toning down the Christmas celebration in my home.
The festive mood is missing in my life and there are genuine reasons as I have seen suffering in these camps which makes me belive Christmas is about caring and sharing and giving to those who have nothing to look forward too.
My recent 6 day trip to Manipur brought utter poverty and poor health issues to my attention in certain districts of the state which made me go back to my drawing board to understand how
I , YOU & WE can address and work on long term solutions to even a small level but consistently.
♡♡♡ To live the Actual spirit of The Birth of Baby Jesus, we have attached a poster of our work.
Our primary focus has, is & will be on rehabilitation of the homeless, the refugees and the poor with disabilities, be it in Goa through our 10 Homes or in Manipur & Jharkhand with our 1 home each as of date.
Just like Baby Jesus was born in the early winter so also the winter has set in across North and eastern India.
In Jharkhand 25th Dec midnight it will touch 11 degrees and in due course it will go further down.
♡♡♡ We distributed 750 brand new blankets to 750 poor school as well as 750 + brand new school  shoes & 1000 pairs of new socks to poor children.
In Manipur 25th Dec midnight it will touch 14 degrees and further downwards the temperature will go.
10000 brand new blankets already distributed beginning of this month.
From Last week we are distributing :
》Christmas Cookies 4200 pkts ,
》Bebinca 5000 pkts,
》Dry ration kits 800 kits to 800 refugee families,
》Dry ration kits 200 kits to 200 widows with HIV.
We had ordered a huge consignment of medicines for 2 districts which is on the way as medicines is a huge requirement from camps especially as a huge no of people are suffering from Depression & Anxiety are being reported.
For those who were not in favour of me sending bebinca & cookies to the camps please do understand that this huge medicine bill has to be paid.
☆☆☆ Please do contribute towards this huge medicine bill for December 23.
Every month dry ration is being distributed in different districts both in the hills and the valley among all those who are in camps starting October 23 to March 24.
I end by asking all to say a very small Prayer for Peace where ever there is turmoil and displacement.
It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. Sure, enjoy the season but remember to rejoice as well!
After all, the true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of God's ultimate gift: the birth of Jesus, the Christ child, which is the real meaning of Christmas.
Let's remember those suffering in refugee camps around the World.

TO HIGHLIGHT HOW FESTIVALS OR CELEBRATION HAVE NO MEANING TO HOMELESS PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES ESPECIALLY WOMEN AND ALSO OUR YOUNG CHILDREN/ YOUTH

22.12.2023. 7pm IST
We just celebrated Goa's Liberation Day & very soon we celebrate Christmas.
This post is to highlight how festivals or celebration have no meaning to homeless people with mental disabilities Especially WOMEN and also our young children/ youth between the age of 18 years – 21 years suffering from mental Disabilities.
This year, Christmas festival for me is on a very low level not motivated as there is too much suffering among the poor especially women with disabilities.
This post has :
☆ 1. A press write up about the trouble we are facing regarding rehabilitation of women ,
☆ 2. Two videos of Goan women once on the streets abandoned by their husband's, both have children, whom they struggled to bring up living on the streets & on Severe psychiatric medicine.
☆ 3. A collage of a homeless lady today on the streets of Seraulim today.
◇ Point 1 :
The Deputy Director of W&CD feels that we as an NGO are opening homes and asking for money which is troubling only one person ie the DD.
Before opening homes we submitt our file to the department and an inspection happens.
The cost to look after one lady on psychiatric medication is nothing less then Rs 10 k to 12 k.
And they are paying us rs 2500 for this particular home in the news that too due for the year 21-22 & it's today Dec 23, may be this money will be credited In 2024.
◇ Point 2
85% of All the ladies In our homes are admitted by Goa Police with proper documentation.
We don't admitt anyone directly from the streets who are homeless into our homes.
Now should not the Dy Director have a list of homes so that the police admitt such ladies?
Well there is no other homes like Street Providence hence all land up here.
And as of today across Goa 100+ such poor goan ladies are asking for help to stay all suffering from severe mental disabilities.
And like these two goan ladies videos  attached with this post, all are suffering from mental disabilities and life threatening sickness where only high dose of medicines keep them running, they can never ever get back to normal as the damages both physical & emotional are not something one cant Even imagine.
Both these homeless abandoned goan ladies have single handedly from birth brought up each of their child living on the streets and being uncared and unwanted by the State.
One lady was having cataract in both eyes and totally weak and malnourished.
Other lady delivered her girl child on the street and till the age of 7 years lived on the street selling small items to survive with that small child .
I have so many such bad , sad & pathetic goan ladies on our Homes just abandoned and thrown out by everyone.
Which Government Department got the time & motivation to solve such problems?
◇ Point 3
This elderly lady was spotted today at Seraulim by people who called me as that's what everyone does.
I requested to call the DD who's 1st question asks the caller ” who gave you my no ?”.
Deputy Director no should be available to everyone as that's the job of the DD to provide shelter to such women on the streets.
Then the cops called me to which I requested to call the DD.
DD tells the cops, W&CD has no homes for such women so she can't do much.
If W&CD has no homes then why is the DD yapping extra and troubling me when I have enough space to take in such ladies?
Why is the DD not releasing our grants at regular intervals?
Why has the DD not moved the file to amend the grants which is calculated in 2003 and we are now in 2023 ?
Infact last year Dec 22, she had assured a minister in the Goa government that the amendment would be done , now its one year gone by – excuse “O I forgot “.
Can't the DD Understand that rs 2500 is next to impossible to look after such genuine homeless street women?
Who is the responsible person for goan women on the streets developing mental disabilities along with life threatening sickness?
Is the streets safe for such poor ethnic goan women ?
How can The DD herself being a lady, be so cold  stone hearted and not be considerate towards their plight ?
Is it only for NGOs to look after the homeless with either no government grants or peanuts @ Rs 2500 ?
One official is telling me ” you get donations so take whatever is given “.
Don't a few government officials expect bribes to pass files and sign on documents?
We can't celebrate any function when just across one sees hunger , sick , homelessness, person with disabilites, etc.
All of us starting from YOU & ME , the GOVERNMENT officials , the Ministers , the religious heads of all religions need to be MORE considerate towards the poorest of the poor, the homeless, those suffering from disabilities and most important women & children.
We need your help to stand and take care of so many abandoned homeless Goan ladies as seen in these 2 videos attached with this post.
Rs 2500 to rs 5000 per month what the government thinks is viable to look after one homeless person with mental disabilities is way out of context in 2023.
We have been assured by The Hon CM that on Monday ie 18th or Wednesday 20th , we would be called to his office and all our issues will be sorted out.
But till today 22nd, no call from CMO.
Like I say ” celebrations and festivals have no meaning to the poor homeless Goan people suffering from Disabilities on the streets especially Women as all they are looking for is place to stay , food to eat and medication to carry on their life “.
This Christmas support us as the Government has no time for our own poor Goans turned homeless on the streets.

STREET PROVIDENCE JHARKHAND, DISTRIBUTES ON THE EVE OF CHRISTMAS TO 500 POOR CHILDREN FROM 2ND SCHOOLS IN THE VICINITY OF OUR SHELTER HOME IN JHARKHAND

20.12.2023. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE JHARKHAND,  distributes on the eve of Christmas :
750 + brand new school shoes &
1000 pairs of brand new socks ,
to 500 poor children from 2 Schools in the vicinity of our shelter home in Jharkhand.
Both schools link attached below
On 25.11.2023 , Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas had distributed 500 new blankets to these 500 poor  children in the same schools which our NGO had donated and we had put a small sentence in our broadcast, how children in these 2 Schools attend classes either in slippers or with sandals.
Link attached of 25.11.2023
In that post of 25.11.2023 , a few pictures of the children were shown which caught the eyes of a couple of Goans .
Mr Darryl was the 1st to confirm strictly through whatsapp that he & his family would sponsor all the 500 school shoes which he generously did.
Mrs Joan also confirmed through whatsapp that she would donate for the 1000 socks which she generously did.
Mind you ” I am yet to meet both Darryl & Joan “.
There were many others after them who volunteered to donate for the shoes & socks but I declined as the target was achieved.
Infact through the donations of Darry & family we got a fantastic rate in Calcutta and we got close to 790+ shoes which the balance 250+ will be distributed to the 3rd school also in the same vicinity.
( we have another 250+ new blankets also being distributed to these balance children again donated by a fellow Goan from Colva ).
A huge no of these children are wearing shoes for the 1st time and it's just touching to bring that little joy to these small children.
Infact we had even distributed new note books to these 500 children a few months back.
Street Providence gets the credit but the children's blessings and gratitude goes spiritually to these two benefactors as its they who made this possible.
Infact Mr Darry and his wife were blessed with a new born baby last week and I am 100% sure that little baby is highly blessed and favoured by these 500+ little children's prayers and good wishes.
These schools are surrounded by bauxite & coal mines and poverty is rampant.
Education plays a huge role in rural India and we are just fortunate to play our little part in this remote part of India through the Archdiocese of Daltong, headed by Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas our fellow Goenkar.
Christmas is that one time of the year where all of us feel the need to go a little beyond our calling and we @ Street Providence Goa invite you to partner with us as we take your donations to the poorest of the poor and in return you get the spiritual blessings.
Where ever our shelter homes in India are situated we understand the problems faced by the locals and we attempt to solve their problem
We have regular demand for :
》Simple medication ,
》Hospital equipment new or second hand,
》Educatin fees and education equipment,
》Hostels upgradation as most poor children come from far flung villages and its next to impossible to go home daily so they stay in hosted attached to Schools,
》Etc
We have all types of projects ready, if you have the donation to put down and that too for a worthy Cause and you can visit the project yourself to see how your donation is put to good use for the poor.
Wherever our Shelter Homes are situated out of Goa , we have associated with the local Archdiocese of that area for all activities concerning rehabilitation and support to the poor
We are grateful to Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas for all the support shown in working with our small NGO and we have attached a small video in Konkanni Of Bishop Theodore explaining about this new shoes distribution.
We still are 5 days away from the Birth of Baby Jesus and if you have that desire just like Darryl & Joan to do something special for some one who they never saw or will see , then its time to get in touch with me through whatsapp only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

HIS EXCELLENCY ARCHBISHOP LEOPOLDO GIRELLI, THE APOSTOLIC NUNCIO TO INDIA & NEPAL BLESSED OUR 1ST SHELTER HOME @ IMPHAL, MANIPUR

15.12.2023. 7pm IST
His Excellency Archbishop LEOPOLDO GIRELLI,  the Apostolic Nuncio to India & Nepal ( Vatican Ambassador of POPE FRANCIS ) blessed our 1st shelter home on 8.12.23 @ Imphal,  Manipur.
We are the 1st NGO across INDIA to have set up a free shelter home for the poor people with disabilities and the homeless in Manipur and this would not be possible without the support of the Mr NGANGOM UTTAM SINGH , Director of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur.
And we have accepted the Director request to open more shelter homes in different districts in the coming months.
Alot of Archbishops, Bishops , nuns,  Priests, doctors and nurses were present for this innaugration.
Our very own Goenkar hailing from Calangute,  His Excellency Archbishop Lumen Monteiro too was present for this blessing.
A Very beautiful shelter home renovated at a cost of a few lacs of rupees , supported by The Archdiocese of Imphal, situated on the 2nd floor of CMC hospital with scenic beauty and green landscape ideal for quick recovery for people with disabilities.
The above link will show you the entire shelter home, both before renovation and after.☝️☝️
Archbishop LEOPOLDO GIRELLI,   the Apostolic Nuncio to India & Nepal was kind enough to bless this home and I had a good 30 min to brief the Nuncio of our works across India for the poorest of the poor with disabilities.
We requested The Nuncio to use his good offices with Cardinals & Archbishops in Goa & across India in providing SPACE to enable our NGO to be able to open homes for the poorest of the poor across India.
Disabilities is not only a State issue but all ie
Government, religious Institutes, NGOs , civil society etc have to work togther on a TOP PRIORTY basis else this issue will be out of control as most states are not having any shelter homes for the poor with mental disabilities.
Now whether the NUNCIO converts this discussion into practical solution will be something I need to wait and wait patiently.
We are in need of more shelter homes on a priorty basis in GOA & our current 10 homes can accept may 40 more persons with disabilities.
We need your help to clear 50% of our bills for the renovation of this 1st shelter home in Imphal and you can even pay the suppliers directly if required.
Goans are known to be SUSEGAD but we have defied that mentality and have been working non stop last 6 months across many district's of Manipur with now focus being on :
Rehabilitation homes of the poor with disabilities
Medication and health care,
Education fees for poor school children,
Medical equipment so that the poor can be treated free of cost,
Reconstructing houses.
Its Christmas season and we can all work togther to bring that smile on the poor people's faces especially those displaced and living in camps.
Your little sacrifice towards reducing your expenses in this festive season no matter how small will surely have a huge impact on so many lives as the anxiety and suffering is going to get only more as its a very complex and complicated topic at the moment.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.

A GOAN GENTLEMAN MR. BRIAN BASED IN MUMBAI THRU HIS DONATION ENSURED ELECTRICITY IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE IN A RELIEF CAMP/ SCHOOL

13.12.2023. 7pm IST
A goan gentleman Mr Brian, based in Mumbai thru his donation ensured electricity is always available for close to 400 children in a relief camp/ school, which otherwise sees electricity not available at times for hours or even days.
Our team member Joseph Fernandes had visited a school in September in Singat, Churachandpur and observed that children were studying with candle light which shocked him.
On his stay for 24 hours in that area he understood that electricity fails quite often and the diesel generator had stopped functioning for months if not years.
He felt disappointed and called me saying we need to help as there are 150+ displaced children of the total 400 children Including orphans children admitted in this School.
We exchanged views and had put out a small sentence in one of our posts in September asking for donations for Solar panels which caught the attention of Mr Brian.
But we settled for a Dynamo.
Now there was another issue  – how to get that Dynamo part into Singat school and how to get the technicians to fix it.
Getting the part took 15 days as nothing is available in that district.
We paid advance to the supplier and in 15 days the Dynamo reached.
Now the technician was another issue as its a totally isolated ( but scenic beauty which will think you are in a foreign land ) and there huge and multiple check posts in this district but with The Grace of God one technician agreed to install this part and finally there is uninterrupted electricity when the government electricity fails.
Just behind the school there is a camp for the displaced people with old and Persons with Disabilities as well as young small children.
Another disturbing aspect only one bore well in this entire compound so no electricity for
hours / days means no water as there was no generator working.
This borewell was for 250 people but it has 500 people and children to take care off.
At times the children have bath alternate days.
The people in the camp are given only a specific amount of water.
That one bore well can't provide 500 people water.
WE REQUIRE HELP TO BUILD ANOTHER BOREWELL in this School for the children as well as the displaced people.
The camp people have just 4 to 5 bulbs as the power supply is only for the school and the load can't be increased.
The sanitation is another issue as its for 250 people but holding 500.
So much of other freaking issues.
3 displaced families are residing in the animal shed as there's just no place.
It's freaking winter and the previous day of my departure the night temperature was at 11 degrees.
The most upsetting part is one CHC for 17000 people with absolutely no medicines and other medical facilities and all are sent to 45 kms away at Churachandpur District hospital.
I was so upset that we ordered more than
Rs 6 lacs of Medicines from Delhi to Guwahati and then from there I need to break my head how to move it to singat.
This bill too needs to be paid in the due course of time.
Huge no of cases of depression & anxiety plus other mental issues.
I have one PRINCIPAL, where ever we work we finish the problem no matter how long , how difficult, how costly or how frustrating it is.
In this case :
Brian provided electricity through his donation to 400 children Including quite a no orphans without he seeing them or even the school ,
We got the credit in that area from all the children.
But BRIAN has 100% got the chikdrens blessings spiritually.
And like Brian there are so many who are spiritually blessed through the donations that have, are & will be given towards
MANIPUR RELIEF by Street Providence.
Today we have a full fledged office cum shelter Home for men in Imphal in association with Archdiocese of Imphal and soon our 2nd shelter home for ladies is being planned.
Among 1000's of people who get my daily broadcast message only one gentleman read the small request for a solar panels for the school.
Holy Spirit knows whom to inspire its just that one needs to respond.
Imagine of BRIAN did not respond – those little children and the 10th std students would be not able to study and there would be despair and frustration in the minds of 400 children.
All messages through whstsapp only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

STREET PROVIDENCE MANIPUR FINALLY GETS OUR 1ST SHELTER HOME BLESSED, INAUGURATED AND READY TO START

11.12.2023. 7pm.IST
STREET PROVIDENCE MANIPUR finally gets our 1st shelter home blessed, innaugrated and ready to start accepting homeless and poor men with mental disabilities.
A project costing a few lacs but worth the costs as this was a floor with no basic infrastructure.
》No floor tiles just cement floor ,
》No false ceiling only asbestos sheets,
》No wash rooms,
And with the complete renovation as seen in the link and the attachments we now have :
☆ A big dormitory with 15 beds at the moment,
☆ A wash room area with many toilets and 5 sinks,
☆ A dinning room for meals,
☆ A beautiful long corridor,
☆ An isolation room ,
☆ A room for medication and office work,
☆ A room for the care givers with a wash room.
Also in case anyone wants to work and serve the poor in Manipur we now have our own decent accommodation in our shelter home where one can stay.  All are welcome.  * conditions apply.
Video attached as a link which will show you how this full floor bare with asbestos roof just 3 months back and how it's now fully changed and to be used to provide care and rehabilitation for the poorest of the poor with disabilities.
♡♡♡  We thank the Archdiocese of Imphal for collaborating with us and providing us the space to run this shelter home for the poorest of the poor in IMPHAL suffering from disabilities.
Labour and material costs is almost double to the rates prevalent in Goa as its a real complicated scenario across the entire state.
We have ordered 15 new beds for this Home and that will take 30 days to be delivered from Assam to Manipur.
Here everything and anything has to be brought either fron Assam or Nagaland and everything takes time due to the logistics, transportation and so many other issues.
I must thank three important but simple men in nature, for this home :
♡♡♡ Emeritus Archbishop Domnic Lumon DD,
♡♡♡ Hon MLA  Shri Ram Muivah, Ukhrul Constituency,
♡♡♡ Director Social Welfare Department
Shri Ngangom Uttam Singh.
The Emeritus Archbishop for the support & trust shown in giving us space to set up a home ,
The Hon.MLA for the understanding the need for such services in current prevailing situations,
The Director for granting us a license way back in September 2023.
The Social Welfare Director is co operative & very understanding and he is keen that we open more homes as there are huge no of people in need of care due to disabilities.
We need help to clear the bills of setting up of this Home as we had secured a line of credit from various suppliers.
My 6 days visit in Manipur has brought stark naked reality to my eyes in the field of :
》Nutrition
》Basic health care
》Education
》Rehabilitation
It's totally very disappointing & disheartening to see sow much of anxiety and uncertainty wherever I went.
I covered atleast 6 districts across Manipur and its not satisfying what I saw.
It may be a drop in the ocean but that's the little you , we & i can do instead of doing nothing.
If you are convinced that our service is towards a genuine cause you can support our appeal towards clearing the bills of this shelter home.
Else please don't pass any unwanted comments as you will never understand how the poor are suffering.
If any one wants to see with their eyes and then clear our bills , we will be happy to provide you a 1st hand experience / trip of everything that currently the poorest of the poor are going through across the state.
It's the season of Christmas and we can work together to provide that roof, that bed , that medicine , that care to the most deserving.
God bless you all

STREET PROVIDENCE MANIPUR HAS ITS 1ST SHELTER HOME READY AND WILL BE OPEN TOO ACCEPT MEN WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES AND HOMELESS

6.12.2023. 7pm IST
We have finally there, Street Providence Manipur has its 1st shelter Home ready and will be open to accept men with mental disabilities as well as those who might be homeless along with
The Archdiocese of Imphal as our collaborators.
Apostolic Nuncio to India , Archbishop LEOPOLDO GIRELLI  is blessings our 1st home in Manipur, on 8.12.23,  which means alot to a small NGO like Street Providence.
Nuncio is a title indicating
THE POPEs  ambassador & ARCHBISHOP LEOPOLDO GIRELLI  is POPE FRANCIS ambassador for INDIA.
No one will ever have wanted to start a shelter home away GOA & that too in a state 4000 kms away from GOA, where there is so much of trouble & uncertainty.
BUT @ Street Providence, WE DARE TO DREAM.
MANIPUR is in INDIA & GOA too is a part of INDIA & all INDIANS are our brothers & sisters.
This 1st mens home is in IMPHAL district &
our next home will be a ladies home in Churachandpur district.
Thanks to Hon.MLA Shri RAM MUIVAH for consenting to be present as CHIEF GUEST.
The Social Welfare Department , Government of Manipur has been very supportive of shelter home for the homeless with disabilites and the support shown by the Department is something we need to appreciate.
Mr NGANGOM. U. SINGH , Director of Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur attending our innaugration makes us belive that the authorities have understood the need for shelter Homes for the homeless and infact few months back this same Department had even issued a temporary license to start this full fledged home.
And I clearly remember the Dy Director of Social Welfare Department Manipur requesting to innaugrate this home in December as the winter sets in.
We have stuck to the request and kept the commitment that in December this home will be ready to accept the homeless.
Its going to be Challenging to run this home but it's something that EACH GOAN should be proud of that YOUR  SMALL NGO from GOA has set up a full fledged home in Manipur during ADVENT season to serve the poorest of the poor.
Atleast 3 more such homes will be started in 3  different districts in the new year.
In the new year with more homes planned those who always wanted to go and work in Manipur for the poor can use these homes to serve the poor .
* conditions apply.
Our team leaves tomorrow for the innaugration.
We always attempt to work In difficult Situations rather than condemning the situation.
In difficult situations those affected want food clothing shelter.
And that's what we are continously doing,
both in Goa & in many states across India.
We care and rehabilitate the poorest of the poor suffering from Disabilities as well as the homeless.
God bless you all
