IT’S A hell OF A LIFE BEING A WOMAN AND A MOTHER,  WHO IS HOMELESS & SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES AS NO ONE WANTS SUCH PEOPLE

Please thank God that all / most of you reading this post are not Homeless and neither are suffering from mental disabilities.
As it's a hell of a life being a woman and a mother,  who is homeless & suffering from mental disabilities as no one wants such people including our  government & society at large.
Five goan homeless ladies in this video :
☆ 1. Marie aunty is 80 years living on the streets for  15 + years near Panjim navtara
☆ 2. Philomena aunty is 86 years old from Fatorda.
☆ 3. Lalita Tai 80 years old from Panjim.
☆ 4. Devta chodankar 55 years old.
☆ 5. Memita 55 years old from Curtorim.
Of the above 5 goan ladies , 4 are mothers but abandoned and turned homeless.
All brought by the Goa Police and all on psychiatric medications with no one to take care of them. 
So till they are alive,  it's only in 2 places one will find them :
IPHB ie mental hospital or
Shelter home ie street Providence.
And have many more such ladies and gents abandoned by their children due to economic or due to mental disabilities. 
Also very sad that today 68 such people are in IPHB living there for months & years as there is no home for them & no one to care for them , 
54 men & 14 ladies.
Society at large expects the government of the day to care for such genuine ethnic poor abandoned Homeless ladies with mental disabilities. 
And the Government expects NGO & shelter homes to do their work for free without the government bearing or sharing the costs.
And this is the reason why 200+ million people in our country are suffering from serious mental disabilities with the poorest of the poor and women the worst sufferers.
And the numbers are rising but mid way homes or rehabilitation homes by all governments are moving at a snail pace.
Coming back to Goa, take out for a moment our NGO and just look around and remember any other NGO working in the field of free health care & rehabilitation non stop last 7 years for beggars, vagabonds and poor people with mental disabilities, while continously increasing the bed capacity and it's all FREE for the poorest of the poor.
We started in :
》2017 with just 20 beds and in 
》2023 we had 240 beds capacity and in 
》2025 we plan 500 beds capacity in Goa.
Plus 150 beds capacity in other states.
And mind you we don't own any home or any property, all rented.
Collaborators/ landlords/ owners of our homes are not easy to handle as we have to pay the rent everymonth come what may.
It's difficult stressful complicated highly costly especially when you don't know where the money is coming to pay the expenses and the bills.
Many think NGOs make alot of money thru donations but then if that's the thought process why are there no shelter homes for free in Goa?
Enough of empty homes/ buildings etc are there in Goa but no one is entering this services.
We appreciate The Goa State Government under The Hon CM of Goa Dr Pramod Sawant which is partially supporting our homes thru :
◇ Women & Child Department ,
◇ Social Welfare Department &
◇ Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department. 
Plus alot of other Government departments.
But the demand is too much and more and more goan people are turning homeless and suffering from mental disabilities. 
You must be following us,  how last few years we having fighting with the state government for funding and after many years of struggle we have reached just 40% of the budget being granted to us.
If we don't get the remaining 60% budget we will be forced to hit the streets by 6th or 7th November 2024 as we just can't manage anymore.
Then when we hit the streets The Government gets upset with us.
We care for poor homeless patients who are basically:
》Bed ridden patients with mental disabilities,
》Amputated patients with mental disabilities,
》Chronic sickness with mental disabilities,
》HIV & TB with mental disabilities,
》Highly chronic patients with mental disabilities and will never ever recover as long as they live,
》Unwed mothers with mental disabilities,
》Abandoned childless wives with mental disabilities,
》Drug abuse and alcoholic with mental disabilities,
》Patients who attempt suicide like slitting their hands, drinking phenlye, using sharp objects to harm their bodies, violent and very aggressive in nature.
The list is endless.
We just are happy to be doing the little we can to bring little light and joy to those who need food clothing shelter and health care.
Frankly speaking I am not even a science background student and i am the least qualified man to run such services with high level of impatience.
But some one needs to fill the gaps and I assume pressume & conclude it's God's calling.
It's your duty if you see such poor GOAN homeless people with mental disabilities on the streets of GOA,  to lodge a complaint with the nearest police station especially If its a lady and see that the local police gets the person to a hospital so that they can be stabilised before we can take them into our homes.
We thank our numerous benefactors, majority who have been with me from 2017 and have yet to meet me in person and this may be a good number of such benefactors for the silent monthly donations month after month , year after year, only understanding our work through social media and word of mouth.

STOPPING OF FOOD WASTAGE IS SOMETHING BENEFICIAL TO COUNTRY AS IT WILL HELP US REDUCE OUR GLOBAL HUNGER INDEX

Stopping of Food wastage is something beneficial to country as it will help us reduce our Global hunger index as well as reduce our wet waste and the hungry & the poorest of the poor get food on their plate.
Recently October 2024 ,  India was placed at 105 out of 127 countries at the Global Hunger Index.
Our country annually throws our 70 million tonnes of food every year .
☆ It's 70000000000 kgs ( 7 with 10 zeroes ).
Did you see or hear anyone raising this issue why Global Hunger Index is so high or why our food wastage annually is increasing ?
Just shouting about garbage increasing leads us to no where.
But I have a plan to lead our country to somewhere which will solve so many issues.
So what's the easiest and quickest way to reduce out Global Hunger Index ?
Food Banks is the answer.
In Goa we are a registered food bank with the FSSAI dept and on a daily basis we have been collecting hundreds of kilograms of food for the last 7 years.
♡♡♡ Thanks to Factories & boilers dept, Government of Goa, under the Secretary Sir Sanjit Rodrigues IAS & Chief Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers Sir Anant Pangam who put a program recently, where we contacted 9 factories in Verna Industrial Estate to accept their extra cooked canteen food and from April 24 to Sept 24 , 
& we collected 34 tonnes or 34000 kgs of food which otherwise would have reached the dumps.
Overall for April 24 to Sept 24 we collected close to 39 tonnes or 39000 kgs of good Cooked extra food.
On an average Goa is throwing out daily 10000 kgs to 12000 kgs of cooked food only from all different types of sectors.
And we are only collecting 400 kgs to 500 kgs daily from one sector ie Factories. 
Our 1st target ie Factories & canteen contractors at all Industrial Estates in Goa.
Industrial Estates which employ 500 employees and above are daily wasting 30 kgs to 40 kgs of good extra canteen food in all industrial Estates across Goa.
We have a running and well establish model of collecting extra cooked food from factories and feeding the poor.
Now understand in 6 months ,  39000 kgs of food which was surely going to the dumps was stopped and given away to the poor in Goa.
Verna Industrial Estate itself is daily throwing out 2000 kgs to 3000 kgs alone from 70 odd big factories in this area.
Then there are other Industrial Estates in Goa.
Hon CM of Goa and the Minister incharge of Waste management of Goa if really interested in reducing the wet waste in Goa should implement our model which is tried and tested and working perfectly well.
This model can also be used across India.
Last many years our Global hunger index is above 100 and below 110.
Malnutrition is very high in our states which one can easily find details online.
Why should poor sleep hungry when so much of food including cooked meals, vegetables, fruits , grains, packaged food etc is just thrown out ?
Garbage plants don't run free .
Taxpayers money is used to run these garbage plants.
Today we have highlighted the issues at a public awareness meet at Azad Maidan Panjim. 
We are not blaming anyone but it's a call both to the Factories at all industrial Estates and our Goa Government to work with us as a registered Food bank to feed the hungry, reduce wet waste as well as bring down our Global hunger index. 
Most factories pay to dispose their:
》Bio medical waste ,
》Hazzard waste,
》Chemical waste .
But when it comes to the extra cooked canteen food which remains after each meal in the factory they give it back to their canteen contractor who might be or surely will be throwing out into the garbage dumps.
How sad and disappointing to Mother Earth.
I travel and visit many factories in Goa and see many big big statements about VISION & DREAMS of each owner of these factories are put up in the reception area.
But in reality  non of these factories through their managers had a slight clue or idea about:
◇ 1. How much cooked food which is already paid for by the company to the canteen contractor was actually wasted.
◇ 2. Exactly what was the canteen contractor doing with this extra canteen food that he took back from the canteen cafeteria. 
◇ 3. Where was this food being disposed.
It's more like ” in my factory everything is spik and span, clean “.
” but outside my factory why I am bothered “.
That's what irritated me and I have decided to do my little part of saving food from going to the dumps even though I don't generate wet waste and I too can say what most factory managers and top level management say ” why am I bothered where the good Cooked food goes once it leaves my factory”.
Last if all stake holders work togther in this line of discussion we togther can achieve alot across India starting from :
reducing our Global hunger index 
reducing our wet waste 
reducing malnutrition

THIS IS MARIE / FAUSTINA A POOR ETHNIC HOMELESS GOAN LADY WITH SEVERE MENTAL DISABILITIES

This is MARIE / FAUSTINA a poor ethnic homeless goan lady with severe mental disabilities.
For 15+ years what I can remember her , always sitting outside NAVTARA RESTAURANT Panjim Goa.
Aggressive, unclean , abusive , suffering from severe mental disabilities.
Night time all 12 months be it cold, rain , winter used to sleep in old abandoned vechiles in the city.
From 2017 when I started the shelter homes I had an eye on her.
From Dec 2017 till Feb 2024 , numerous Inspectors were appointed at Panjim Police station but again not sure why she was still on the streets. 
Finally a genuine friend of the homeless street people in Goa, Inspector Mr Vijay Chondankar was appointed INSPECTOR of Panjim Police station in Feb 2024.
We requested PI Vijay to help get Marie / Faustina off the streets of NAVTARA Restaurant Panjim & he consented.
PSI Allaudin Khan was entrusted the job by the PI & Psi Khan did a good job by physically being present when Marie / FAUSTINA was taken off the streets and admitted into IPHB.
Thanks to all the Doctors @ IPHB who did a wonderful job in stabilizing Marie / FAUSTINA over a period of 6 months.
But along with severe mental disabilities Marie/ FAUSTINA is also suffering from a life threatening sickness.
Inspite of both complicated sickness we have taken her into our shelter Home yesterday after IPHB discharged her and Panjim Police requested us to care for her as she can't live on the streets again. 
Waiting for the order from Director of WCD, 
Mr Barretto to admitt her into our home.
It's a sad state of affairs in Marie / FAUSTINA case .
So many religious people , politicians, activists, NGOs like me also , Inspectors & Dysps , business people, etc over a period of 15+ years saw her but all did nothing or nothing much was done to get her to a home permanently.
It's a shame that our own goan people are homeless and left to fend on the streets till they die, as all departments are just too busy doing everything else than providing shelter to these genuine goan homeless.
Like Marie / FAUSTINA there are another 50 to 60 plus genuine ethnic poor abandoned people goans in need of shelter but who cares ?
We are trying but it's too stressful and expensive as most homeless are having mental disabilities with other Complicated health issues.
Departments like Social Welfare Department &  EMPOWERMENT of Persons with Disabilities Department need to pull their socks up and focus more on people with mental disabilities also.
We have a down to earth Minister for both the above Departments Mr Subhash Phal Dessai and two energetic Directors for  
Social welfare : Mr Ajit Panchwadkar 
EPwd : Mrs Varsha Naik
And all the above 3 are attempting to get things moving for people on the streets with mental disabilities but it's happening at a slow space and i am a man in a hurry.
The WCD department under The Director of 
Mr Manuel Barretto is working tirelessly to provide as much support as required to women on the streets through grants as well as through paperwork and we are grateful to him.
Last but not the least we thank The Hon CM of Goa for atleast giving us an opportunity to raise our grievances and understanding the issue of homeless goans aa well as non goans on the streets with mental disabilities. 
Sorry to write this and be rude but the truth is this ” Government through all departments is 
not / may not be keen to put down money / grants/ resources on people with mental disabilities as the returns are ZERO , where as Government through various departments especially Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department is doing alot for peoole with physical disabilities which is good sign “.
The % of Persons with mental Disability as compared to physical disabilities is 70 : 30 or say 60 : 40 .
It hurts me that after following up non stop with WCD last 2 years , I am now forced to follow up with Social Welfare Department & EMPOWERMENT of PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES for grants towards shelter homes for homeless beggars & homeless goans on the streets with mental disabilities like MARIE / FAUSTINA.
Most Directors and top government officials in all departments want to help but the systems are just not moving fast and on the other side the demand for care and rehabilitation is rising quickly and fast.
Hon CM Mr Pramod Sawant and Social Welfare Minister Mr Subhash Phal Dessai should do something quickly for homeless beggars and poor homeless goans on the streets with mental disabilities.

HELP US TO BUILD NEW HOMES THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON AND GIVE A NEW LIVE TO THOSE IN RELIEF CAMPS.

Help us to build new homes this Christmas season and give a new life to those in relief camps.
The festival of Christmas is just a few weeks away and the festival of Lights Diwali is just 2 weeks away and it's all excitement for all of us celebrating Christmas, Diwali or any festival.
Internally displaced people are already staying in camps last 18 months and one Christmas festival is over and the next one is approaching.
Recently we built a new home for a family in Singat , Churachandpur and we learnt that alot more families are In need of homes.
Watch this link of the 1st house built by us.
Each home is Rs 5 lacs only and our NGO has a list of about 10 families who need to get a home.
Christmas is about Birth of Christ in a stable when all the INNS refused the parents a place.
This is how the people in Manipur are suffering and if we can get togther and provide a home, our Christmas will be one of the best to have ever experienced.
Families and friends can get togther and contribute togther to fund one home.
We can even put up the name of the benefactor on the home and you can be satisfied that due to your sacrifice a family got a home.
Let's not ask why the authorities are not doing this but let's ask ourselves CAN WE BUILD A HOME through my family members/ friends circle ?.
Criticism of the authorities is no benefit in crisis but action is something which is the need of the hour.
Last 18 months we are continously working across many districts of Manipur and we are doing the little we can to help the poorest of the poor.
If a small NGO like us can build one home surely many can donate a home to help these poor people in Churachandpur.
To build this one home last 12 months we cut corners and kept aside a fixed amount of money so that when it reached Rs 5 lacs we paid for this home.
It's all about giving and giving cheerfully.
Recently in Goa last 3 months we have built / renovated / upgraded,  4 homes of our poor ethics goans and a couple of more families are being helped to get their homes repaired.
As we approach Christmas, please Put aside a little, try to cut the costs planned for Christmas, be little generous towards those in need and join in with us as we attempt to build homes for those in relief camps.
Be a blessing if you can afford and get blessed by those whose blessings will reach you spiritually.
God hears the cries and prayers of the poorest of the poor.

The festival of Christmas is just a few weeks away and the festival of Lights Diwali is just 2 weeks away and it's all excitement for all of us celebrating Christmas, Diwali or any festival.
Internally displaced people are already staying in camps last 18 months and one Christmas festival is over and the next one is approaching.
Recently we built a new home for a family in Singat , Churachandpur and we learnt that alot more families are In need of homes.

Each home is Rs 5 lacs only and our NGO has a list of about 10 families who need to get a home.
Christmas is about Birth of Christ in a stable when all the INNS refused the parents a place.
This is how the people in Manipur are suffering and if we can get togther and provide a home, our Christmas will be one of the best to have ever experienced.
Families and friends can get togther and contribute togther to fund one home.
We can even put up the name of the benefactor on the home and you can be satisfied that due to your sacrifice a family got a home.
Let's not ask why the authorities are not doing this but let's ask ourselves CAN WE BUILD A HOME through my family members/ friends circle ?.
Criticism of the authorities is no benefit in crisis but action is something which is the need of the hour.
Last 18 months we are continously working across many districts of Manipur and we are doing the little we can to help the poorest of the poor.
If a small NGO like us can build one home surely many can donate a home to help these poor people in Churachandpur.
To build this one home last 12 months we cut corners and kept aside a fixed amount of money so that when it reached Rs 5 lacs we paid for this home.
It's all about giving and giving cheerfully.
Recently in Goa last 3 months we have built / renovated / upgraded,  4 homes of our poor ethics goans and a couple of more families are being helped to get their homes repaired.
As we approach Christmas, please Put aside a little, try to cut the costs planned for Christmas, be little generous towards those in need and join in with us as we attempt to build homes for those in relief camps.
Be a blessing if you can afford and get blessed by those whose blessings will reach you spiritually.
God hears the cries and prayers of the poorest of the poor.

STREET PROVIDENCE MANIPUR REACHES OUT TO 4 SCHOOLS ACROSS 4 DISTRICTS OF MANIPUR TOWARDS DISPLACED CHILDREN , WITH DRY RATION & STATIONARY

STREET PROVIDENCE MANIPUR for the month of September 2024 reaches out to 4 schools across 4 districts of Manipur towards displaced children , with dry ration & stationary.
Thanks to generous benefactors we were able to reach out to children in 4 schools.
☆ 1. For the 4th month in a row our benefactor
Mr Brian donated Rs 50k worth of Dry ration to :
St. Joseph’s school , Singngat 
Churachanpur district .
☆ 2. For the 3rd month in a row a leading goan vegetarian restaurant chain donated Rs 25k worth of dry ration to :
St. Anthony’s school, Machi.
Tengnoupal District.
☆ 3. A retired lady SBI Employee from Margao branch donated for the 1st time Rs 50k worth of Dry ration to :
St Vincent boarding, Pangmoul, 
Kangpokpi District
☆ 4. Miss Chanda Chaudhary a middle aged lady from Delhi, based in Nagali hills , Dona Paula was kind enough to provide donation Worth Rs 25k towards stationary to :
Holy Cross school, Kakching Khunou, 
Kakching district.
Life is difficult and tough for the poor and especially school children right across all districts of Manipur as economy is totally on a slow side.
Rising prices is something which always happens in any area suffering from calamity or conflict.
Winter is just creeping in so another requirements for blankets and other warm accessories.
It's all not happy moments at all across so many schools as it's over a year that the turmoil is going on and no one knows when it's going to end and when they all can go back to their normal lives in their own homes.
We are trying our little we can with the donations we receive from kind hearted benefactors who respond to our social media posts.
Without benefactors it's not possible to continuesly work in Manipur for over 18 months & counting.
Many many requests are coming especially for dry ration to children in boarding schools as non of these children parents can afford the fees as they are displaced.
Parents will be in other places and children in other places.
It's really really heart breaking to see the plight of the poor and suffering and the only solution is providing aid through the little you and I can afford.

FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA COLLECTS 34 TONNES OF EDIBLE FOOD LAST 6 MONTHS FROM 9 FACTORIES IN VERNA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA collects 34 tonnes of edible food last 6 months from 9 factories in Verna Industrial Estate ie April 24 to Sept 24.
For this same 6 months period our overall total food collection was close to 40 tonnes.
I am repeating all Verna Industrial Estate factories are throwing out close to 3000 kgs on a daily basis good Cooked extra canteen food.
Food bank Sangolda on a daily basis is just collecting on a average 250 kgs to 300 kgs from these 9 factories.
Ultimately the extra food reaches the recycling plants instead of reaching the poor and hungry.
If we are to reduce the wet waste, Government of Goa should encourage & support,  by instructoring all Factories across GOA , to give away excess good canteen food to Food Bank Sangolda as we are the only food bank collecting food on a daily basis and feeding the poor and hungry.
All this 40 tonnes of food is collected in Food grade recyclable containers.
And in this manner we are not only reducing the wet waste but also avoiding the use of plastic bags.
Running food banks requires volunteers, feeders & most important TIME MANAGEMENT as food can't be stored but has to be moved out to the poor through feeders.
The credit for collecting these 34 tonnes of cooked food from Verna Industrial Estate goes to :

& Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, 
☆ Mr Anant Pangam, who got this concept into the minds of the officials of these 9 factories,  that their canteen food instead of being thrown out can be used to feed the poor and hungry.
