” IF THE LAST POOR GOAN SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES MATTERS TO THIS GOVERNMENT, WELL THEN NOW IS THE TIME TO FULFILL THAT ASSURANCE “

9.2.2024. 9pm IST
” IF THE LAST POOR GOAN suffering from mental disabilities matters to THIS  GOVERNMENT, well then now is the time to fulfill that assurance “
Tomorrow is the last Day of The Assembly session And I payer that our genuine demand of ” Health Department providing Psychiatrists to our shelter homes is raised, so as to get our Genuine demand met “.
Today we had a small & peaceful awareness program at Azad Maidan , Panjim , demanding that HEALTH Department deputes psychiatrists to visit our shelter Homes and provide care to our inmates who mostly are poor homeless Goans suffering from chronic mental disabilities.
If you listen only for 15 min to what is explained in this link you will understand the severity of the issue but yet how simple it is to implement our demand.
Today we took along 10 of such ladies with mental disabilities for this awareness at Azad Maidan.
Today we have about 172 + inmates & are shortly going to be caring for 240 + goan poor inmates suffering severe mental disabilities and most of these are genuinely poor goans recommended by IPHB to our shelter Home for care and rehabilitation.
Currently we have close to 32 poor goans awaiting admission into our homes in this coming month who are taking treatment at IPHB and we have assured them free rehabilitation once treated and stabilised.
It's going to be impossible to take all these 240 inmates regularly to IPHB for their monthly assessment and the most practical solution will be IPHB appointed Psychiatrist visits our homes.
We are THE ONLY FREE SHELTER HOME IN GOA for poor goan people suffering from mental disabilities & recommended by each and every DOCTOR @ IPHB as we provide practically free rehabilitation to our poorest of the poor goans of which 85 % practically can't afford any fees.
Yez we are partly funded both by Women & Child Department as well as Social Welfare Department but we need support of The Health Department who has to support our demand of Free Psychiatrists from IPHB.
We have 2 Physiotherapists supported partially by Social Welfare Department through a scheme who visit our homes daily – one for the North and one for the south.
But the need of the hour is PSYCHIATRISTS as of late to much physical disturbances are happening in all our women's homes as the severity of disabilities in women is difficult to handle as compared to men.
I am just scared if any untoward incident occurs in the women homes as we have highly chronic poor goan homeless women suffering from severe mental disabilities who either stay in our homes or will be back on the streets.
We should not be held responsible if something goes out of control in the near future especially in our women's Homes as this is the top most priorty for PSYCHIATRISTS from IPHB.
If The Health Department is not keen to accept our demand it will be very very painful for us as we will be literally forced to readmitt all these chronic poor goan women back into IPHB and then either IPHB discharges them to no where meaning they just walk out and reach the streets or IPHB sends them to PROVEDORIA which is not that easy as PROVEDORIA is always full.
We will be hitting the streets next week again with all our 60+ lady inmates and still if no assurance from The Health Department then we will march to either Chief Minister house or to The  Raj Bhavan.
We are providing a Service and we are not doing a favour to anyone neither is anyone doing us a favor but what grants or benefits are given from different Government authorities towards our NGO,  its the Tax payers money going TOWARDS THE LAST POOR GOAN suffering from MENTAL DISABILITIES.
WE WORK HARD
WE FIGHT LOUD
WE EXPECT OUR GENUINE DEMAND TO BE MET

OUR CLOTHES BANK IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS COLLECTED 8000 PCS OF SECOND HAND CLOTHES AND SENT TO MANIPUR & JHARKHAND.

7.2.2024. 8pm IST
Through Our CLOTHES BANK in the last 3 months , we collected 8000 pcs of second hand clothes and sent to Manipur & today Jharkhand.
Both these states we run shelter homes and around our Homes are poor families who our staff and team members get these clothes distributed.
And 180+ goan families paid us a donation of
Rs 5000 per 30 clothes, which is a something never ever heard off.
Many grumbled ” why should we pay to give away our good clothes ? “.
To those who paid us to take their clothes ” The spiritual blessings you and family have received from these poor people is beyond the cost of what you paid “.
There are huge huge costs in moving these 8000 clothes namely:
◇ Collecting from your door step,
◇ Storage and Segregating,
◇ Labour for picking
◇ Laundry costs ,
◇ Boxes and tape,
◇ Reloading into local transport,
◇ Hire of big truck of the clothes to other states,
◇ Redistribution costs in that state.
And if anyone thinks we are going to bear all these costs to take away your clothes for free then it's never going to happen
In this truck we also sent 600 + blankets as winter in Jharkhand is hovering between 6 to 10 degrees.
》⭕ The link in the video is self explanatory.
Remember whatever you do to the least of the poor you get back double.
We are accepting clothes all year round but with a donation.
Poster attached.
When you pay us a donation to take your clothe :
☆ You get spiritual blessings from the poor who wear your clothes,
☆ The laundry gets business which is run by rehabilitated trafficked women,
☆ Your negative energy from your unused clothes turns into positive energy,
☆ Our NGO gets a source of income to run our free shelter homes,
☆ Poor people especially battling winter get some warmth,
☆ Our dump yards gets a little extra space otherwise these clothes might have been binned.
Now whether to give us a donation with your clothes or not is a choice you as an individual has to make.
No force but we don't take clothes without a DONATION.

A MASSIVE ALTERATION IN OUR SHELTER HOME WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS INJURIES EITHER TO THE CARE GIVER OR TOO THE INMATE

5.2.2024. 11pm IST
A massive alteration in our shelter home which could have caused serious injuries either to the care giver or to the inmate goan lady suffering from severe mental disabilities.
We all read or see or hear ” how a mother killed a child or a boyfriend killed a girl ” etc ?
Well when one is on psychiatric medication and you suffer from hallucinations then at that crucial time its next to impossible to stop the psychiatric person from doing what was planned in the mind.
Well few days back , one highly psychiatric goan lady in our home went beserck..
This goan lady is evey week physically taken to IPHB for evaluation and has been admitted numerous times in the IPHB .
But it's just not giving any results.
She is an Unwed mother, was raped or impregnated on the streets and as far as I know she has delivered 2 babies which both were given for adoption thru CWC.
One delivery happened before she was admitted witn us and one happened when she was just within two days of her being admitted into our home from IPHB.
Comes from a broken family where all are either psychiatric or sick and bed ridden.
Last 3 years under our care and taking treatment at IPHB .
She is an old patient of IPHB and brought thru Goa Police who has been referred by IPHB for care and rehabilitation in our home.
Few days back, she tied her own hair nice and tight in a towel after bath and I am sure she planned to attack the care giver due to some hallucinations issues
All of a sudden she started hitting and pulling the care giver hair and the grip was so tight that the care giver was in too much pain that she just could not defend herself or pull the this psychiatric goan lady hair back as she had tied it nice and tight.
Other two care givers tried to break free but it took full 3 minutes of WWF and pulling and pushing to get that grip loosened.
All captured on mobile as that's how we work.
Late that night she was taken to IPHB where the doctor on duty took more than 3 hours to get the admission done as the psychiatric goan lady by that time had finished her hallucinations so was talking other matters which made the doctor feel we are just trying to get the lady admitted into the IPHB without any valid reason.
Now the frustrations of mine starts and I am going to hit the streets soon both at IPHB & DHS as these are the genuine reasons :
》1. Why are all our shelter Homes not given the same medical facilities as given to PROVEDORIA
inspite of an Order being issued by THE DHS clearly starting ” every 15 days each PHC will visit our STREET PROVIDENCE Homes situated in that area ” ?
》2. PROVEDORIA has about 240 inmates and we have about 180 inmates
But we have 135 + psychiatric poor goans in our homes and PROVEDORIA has less than that, but IPHB sends their Psychiatrist to all PROVEDORIA Homes
We demand same facility from IPHB as given to PROVEDORIA
》3. I have never ever seen PROVEDORIA staff coming to IPHB to admitt such chronic mental patients so that means 3 things –
☆ a. either they are not having such chronic psychiatric patients who require admission especially night time into IPHB
☆ b . the chronic patients from PROVEDORIA are directly admitted into IPHB as and when required
☆ c. We are often recommended by IPHB all the chronic patients who are not getting admission into PROVEDORIA.
We demand Max 1 hour of paper work especially after office hours incase we have trouble in our homes and urgent admission is required at IPHB.
Now coming back to this goan lady :
》1. If we don't accept her back into our home then
this is what might happen :
☆ a. She becomes a permanent inmate of IPHB and one day gets a bed in Provedoria or
☆ b. IPHB has cell which goes to such patients family and through coercion & strong techniques without seeing the ground reality makes the family come to IPHB & sign the discharge and after that IPHB responsibility ends
☆ c. This goan lady goes back to her village in interior parts of Goa , gets again raped and assaulted and pregnant as she has no family to actually handle her and again through the police
now pregnant will be brought for admission with The Magistrate Order to IPHB who will be compelled to admitt.
》2. We on humanitarian grounds take this psychiatric poor Goan lady back into our homes as long as all our demands are fulfilled by both THE DHS & IPHB.
And this is only 1 case I am highliting.
We have 60 women in our shelter homes suffering from different types of severe psychiatric disabilities and even IPHB at times might have that no of  inmates in their institute as to the no of ladies inmates we care for.
In the last 1 year, I am seeing a huge change in the IPHB attitude towards treatment of poor people with disabilities.
I have complained to The Disability Commissioner to look into this matter a couple of days back, but no reply.
The Government of Goa / Health Minister who is also The Women & Child Minister has these options :
☆ 1. Listen to our genuine issues.

☆ 2. Treat us on par ” where medical facilities are concerned ” with PROVEDORIA .

☆ 3. Give Strict instructions to IPHB & GMC that all admissions from STREET PROVIDENCE to be handled quickly without time wasting.
And mind you these are women homes only we are talking about.
There are another 120 men who 70 + are on Severe psychiatric medication and 20 men are suffering from physical disabilities.
Plus there are TB & HIV inmates also on psychiatric medications.
Most of our poor goan inmates are admitted into our homes on a recommendation letter from the local MLA & The local Sarpanch.
⭕ ⭕ Please do support our fight against the injustice done to our NGO in regard to the ” medical facilities ” denied to us as compared to PROVEDORIA by THE DHS & IPHB and GMC.
Either :
we get what we are demanding or
we stop accepting highly chronic, unstable, beyond medical repairs goan ladies.
But we can't taking risks of our care givers getting brutally assaulted in our Homes.
Tomorrow if anything drastic happens due to such complicated and unruly behavior by such chronic persons suffering from mental disabilities then everyone starts blaming the NGO for taking Government grants and not doing proper service.
As of today Government grants in this house was Rs 2500 per lady for 21-22  & Rs 2500 per lady for 22-23.
So it's peanuts to look after such Chronic mental patients with disabilities.
Please leave your comments if you Have read the entire long post .
It's good to know what you would do if you were in my shoes.

ORPHANS GOAN SIBLINGS AGED 20 & 22 YEARS, ONE SUFFERING FROM SEVERE MENTAL DISABILITIES & OTHER ONE LOOKING AFTER HER AT HOME

3.2.24. 7pm IST
Orphans goan siblings aged 20 & 22 years,
Poor & totally under nourishe & underweight,
One suffering from severe mental disabilities &
Other one looking after her at home,
both totally lost and stressed,
Nothing to eat at times for days in their home.
Infact one sister ” can sit in a corner for hours and days ” if no one tells her to get up, eat , have a bath , change clothes, etc she will be sitting and sitting staring into oblivion.
Heavy and chronic signs of mental disabilities.
I am sure that by the other sister staying with her full-time only then we can get her out of her misery and mental disabilities.
And this is right in Goa ( don't ask where).
What Is their future ?
Who is going to take their life long responsibility?
Just imagine 2 young girls staying in their small home without food and any other support and this can happen to my and your family in the future too.
Such cases are often taken advantage off by others leading to unwanted pregnancy and may be even murder.
One religious lady felt pity for them and requested me to rehabilitate which we did.
But it's time all religious men & ladies of all religions start opening their doors to help and care for such poor goans as there are so many such cases coming to us daily & it's going to be next to impossible in the future to handle .
These two young girls are penniless and poor so naturally they can't afford any fees for their stay and medication.
In this hectic world where the focus is only on money , we tend to forget and avoid getting involved with such instances of stark poverty and hunger as we feel it's not our job.
But today it's these two sisters in this sorry state, tomorrow it could be anyone else family.
Everyday we are flooded with horrifying instances of so many poor goans actually going hungry and getting pushed into Corners in their own little dark rooms and most are suffering from mental disabilities.
Who knows if they are molested , raped or abused as being poor and in unsound mind they become helpless in society and society too ignores such poor people.
BEING THE ONLY NGO RUNNING  FREE SHELTER HOMES IN GOA for both ladies and gents suffering from mental disabilities, we are often approached to rehabilitate which we 99%  accept all and take in everyone after proper paper work.
But the demand is so huge that we will at some point of time have to stop accepting due to shortage of homes.
We have at the moment a 240 bed capacity & we can go upto 500 beds but we are in need of homes to increase the capacity.
The head of the State in Goa & The heads of all religions in Goa need to address this issue of mental disabilities among the poor goans who have just no place to go or no one to care for them.
Blaming The Government is not the issue for us as the Government is supporting us through many many departments.
Where are the HOMES to add more beds ?
We don't own any property but all our 12 homes are rented and we are ready to rent more homes either fron The Government or The Archdiocese.
In the next two years, don't be surprised to see unsound people on the streets of Goa roaming with sticks and choppers attacking others.
All stake holders need to move fast and quick before this issue escalates due to lack of shelter homes for the poorest of the poor with mental disabilities.
For full Two nights after accepting these two sisters I was disturbed understanding their plight and disturbed at how and what they had gone through and WHY no one was ready to take care of them FOR FREE .
Just image if there was no STREET PROVIDENCE, or if I had homes only for those who pay fees , what would be these two girls future ?
Lots of people assume and pass comments on social media that there are no poor goans who require shelter but only outsiders are on the streets.
Well there are huge huge nos of poor goans across all villages in such pathetic, horrible and freaking gone case situations and 90% will not want to get involved in such people but to pass comments these will be the 1st.
Remember mental disabilities can hit anyone anytime and what you speak by making fun and passing unwanted comments will 100% come back to those passing unwanted and unverified comments.
If there are such Sad and disturbing cases of goans living in pathetic and horrible situations do let me know through whatsapp message on 8380097564.
We will surely attempt to rehabilitate after proper verification And complete paperwork.
God bless you all

SIR SANJIT RODRIGUES, ( IAS ) SECRETARY & SHRI ANANT PANGAM, CHIEF INSPECTOR OF FACTORY & BOILERS, ALTINHO ROLL UP THEIR SLEEVES AND GETS INTO ARRANGING FRESH FACTORY EXTRA COOKED FOOD FOR THE POOREST OF THE POOR IN GOA

1.2.23. 7pm IST
Sir Sanjit Rodrigues, ( IAS ) Secretary, Factory & Boilers & Shri Anant Pangam, Chief Inspector of Factory & Boilers, Altinho roll up their sleeves and gets into arranging fresh factory extra cooked food for the poorest of the poor in Goa.
This Goan duo ( Secretary & Chief Inspector) puts their weight behind a project where hundreds if not thousands of kgs of cooked food, which was daily gets wasted, but now will reach poor people in villages in Goa.
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA  GOA is installing 9 food bank fridges in canteens of the biggest factories in Goa @ Verna & 1 in the Canteen contractor kitchen at Verna to accept all excess Canteen food cooked daily for the employees of these 10 factories.
All these 10 factories are MNCs with a few of them having their HQs out of India.
Cipla.    Lupin.         Commscope.
IFB.       Siemens.    Marksons.
Teva.     Sanofi.        Microlabs.     Watson.
For these 10 big factories to allow our small NGO to install a food bank fridge in their premises is a huge huge achievement for us as those who work in Big companies will understand how strict SOPs are and above all its cooked food.
But that's how this dynamic duo of Sir Sanjit & Shri Pangam found out a solution to this one of a kind project across India which will hence forth be used as a model across other states.
This is just the start , we have plans to put such fridges across another 50 such big factories within the next 3 months with the support of Factories and Boilers department .
Through this model :
》Cooked food is fed to the poor,
》Wet waste is reduced,
》Companies will get poor people blessing,
》Hunger issues are addressed.
Our Food Bank is the only registered bank In Goa and at any point of time we have a capacity to accept upto 4000 kgs of food per night.
Two years back , 1.2.22, we installed our 1st food bank fridge at Quepem police station and today we have 11 such fridges in Police stations in Goa and today 1.2.24 we are installing 10 food fridges in factories.
Across India, we are the only NGO having installed fridges in Police stations and now in Factories, both in the state of Goa.
A chance meeting with Sir Sanjit about a year back outside his office, where I shared this proposal got the WHOLE HEARTED attention of Sanjit Sir.
Usually most of us must be thinking that IAS officers are proud and only take instructions from politicians and will not go beyond their call of duty.
I too had the same notion till I started my NGO in 2017.
But it's all in one thinking ” if you are positive and persistent then the result is positive, if you are negative then you stand to lose “.
Sir Sanjit went completely out of his comfort zone and got his Chief Inspector, Shri Anant along to address the issue of feeding the hungry.
Well this project took a long time to materialize as convincing Plant Heads of these big companies is very very complicated and frustrating but TRY & TRY and SUCCESS will FOLLOW YOU.
If not for Shri Anant Pangam , Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, who in the last 4 months had so many meetings in his office with these officials from these 10 factories and gave his full time and effort , this project would still be now where as it's where today.
Well before approaching Sir Sanjit, for two full years I was literally begging of FSSAI Director Mrs Jyoti Sardesaai , who refused to help me.
I pleaded with her and her department to atleast call the factory Heads and share the idea but it reached no where as she was not in favour.
I then approached Labour Commissioner, Shri Raju Gawas and his asst labour Commissioners who tried what best they could do, but Shri Raju Gawas got transfered.
Side by side  I approached ADC to Hon Governor of Goa, Shri Vishram Borkar ( SP ) who introduced me to the then Secretary , Mr Mihir Vardhan , who heard my proposal and suggested to get this proposal implemented through Factories & Boilers department.
♡♡♡ Well today I can only say ” THANK YOU ” to Sanjit Sir & Shri Anant for putting food on so many people plates , today it will be a few hundreds but in the next 4 to 5 months it will be a few thousands.
The BLESSINGS & THE PRAYERS of the poor who will benefit from this food will be beyond one's imagination and understanding.
Goa has highly capable and understanding Government officials and two of them are
Sir Sanjit Rodrigues & Shri Anant Pangam.
We mostly only find faults when things go wrong and post all nasty comments but one needs to also appreciate such deeds and services especially when the topic is not connected to the Department.
If you reading this post are working in a factory in Goa & feel that Canteen extra food should not be wasted & it can be given to the poor , then please do contact Shri Anant Pangam , Chief Inspector of Factory and Boilers , Altinho.
God bless you all

NOW STARTS FREE PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES IN RURAL VILLAGES ACROSS GOA FOR THE POOREST OF THE POOR GOAN

30.1.2024. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA now starts FREE Physiotherapy services in rural villages across Goa for the poorest of the poor Goan senior citizens, widows and those suffering from disabilities.
We have been running successfully :
》12 Free psychiatric homes for the poor Goans,
》23 Food Bank fridges,
》3 Physiotherapy units for our homeless goans
_*This is how we are planning these free Physiotherapy sessions.*_
☆ 1. We are first conducting  FREE Physiotherapy camps in rural Goa.
◇ Camp 1 – innaugrated by Director of Social Welfare,  Sir Ajit Panchwadkar @ St John The Baptist Church , Pilerne, on 28.1.24
◇ Camp 2 – organized by Minister of Social Welfare, Shri Subash Phal Dessai @ Sangameshwar Vidhyalay , Nr Vithal Temple, Bazarwada, Sanguem on 29.1.24 In collaboration with our NGO.
Hence forth , Two camps per month for the next 11 months with one camp in each district per month is being planned across Rural Goa only.
☆ 2. From these camps, the poorest of the poor & deserving especially Widows & senior citizens with disabilities will be identified who are in need of Physiotherapy.
☆ 3. Twice a week for a month, a batch of 6 to 8 such poor senior citizens will be given Free Physiotherapy sessions per camp.
☆ 4. Those who attend the camps and are not poor or economically backward and are in need of Physiotherapy will have to approach the Physiotherapist who conduct these camps and pay them to do the Physiotherapy sessions at their residence.
_*Well basically psychiatric homes are run by Psychiatrists &*_

_*Physiotherapy units are run by Physiotherapist.*_

_*I am neither a Psychiatric nor a Physiotherapist*_
But I understand, Hunger , sickness , poverty  Homelessness , disabilities, etc and I am committed to go beyond my capacity inspite of me being an Commerce graduate.
_*On this network of FREE 24 Physiotherapy units in rural Goa, we intend to divert into psychiatric treatment to the poorest of the poor goans.*_
The rate of poor people in Goa suffering with mental disabilities is hitting the roof.
In two years from now even if we have increased our bed capacity from today which is at 240 to 500 , still the demand will be more.
To offset that future demand for rehabilitation , we intend to identify in rural villages through our Physiotherapy units those also suffering from mental disabilities and list them down.
We will provide transport to these poor goans and get them to IPHB for evaluation & assessment.
Once assessment is done, we will provide free psychiatric medication which IPHB does not provide free after their monthly assessment.
And this will be month after month.
In this way, we intend to keep the lid on those poor goans in villages suffering from mental disabilities from going out of control due to timely psychiatric treatment and plug this problem well in advance.
_*Its a long term plan which will give results in may be 2 years from now.*_
Since we have hard core experience on the ground level  in both fields ie Psychiatric & Physiotherapy by handling more than 1000 such people in the last 7 years, this is the only tried & tested formulae we now wish to take to the poorest of the poor goans in rural villages especially Widows, senior citizens & those suffering with mental disabilities.
Trust me, the demand for rehabilitation in shelter homes for those with mental disabilities will be so huge in the next few years that beds will not be available as there are no NGOs entering this field of FREE REHABILITATION for the poorest of the poor.
The economics just don't match.
The calling to serve the poor is not appealing to many.
Today it's all about the money.
We have to take medical services to the poorest of the poor in Goa to the villages and we are going to do what we have started.
Free Physiotherapy sessions for the poorest of the poor across Goa.
_*Well many will wonder about FUNDING for*_
_*the equipment for the 24*_ _*Physiotherapy units,*_
_*the Physiotherapist fees for these 24 units,*_
_*Etc*_
_*Well that's for another day on another post.*_
Be free to ask all queries if you have once you read this complicated yet need of the hour post.

INSTALLING THESE 10 NEW FRIDGES TO ACCEPT AND COLLECT EXTRA COOKED FOOD

29.1.2023  8pm IST
FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR SANGOLDA  GOA is installing THESE 10 new fridges to accept and collect extra cooked food.
( picture attached).
Please do sponsor these fridges @ Rs 19000 each.
These are brand new ELANPRO  fridges purchased from Global Enterprises , Porvorim.
We have identified 10 locations where these fridges will be installed & we are assured of daily min 25 kgs to 30 kgs of Extra food which otherwise is being wasted everyday.
These 30 kgs of food from each fridge is enough for 80 to 90 meals as 1 kg of food is enough for 3 people.
We have identification of numerous poor families situated in the vicinity of these fridges who are suffering from HIV & TB and other sickness.
We have 3 teams created covering 3 fridges per team and these teams will directly get this extra good food to those poor families daily.
We as the only Registered Food Bank in Goa have 23 such fridges installed across Goa , with 11 such fridges installed in Police Stations.
For almost 6 years and running our food bank fridges has been feeding our homeless in our shelter Homes as daily we get about 300 kgs to 500 kgs of food of which 20% to 30% is not consumable which is then fed to the animals.
We also donate extra food to other homes and other NGOs who feed in their locality in Goa.
Running Food bank fridges has been one of the greatest achievements I can boast off as a result we are able to open so many Homes and take in non stop so many homeless people.
Why ?
Because daily we know God provides food in our fridges which is donated by many unknown and unseen people who understand hunger & Homelessness.
If my shelter Homes can run with extra cooked food through our food bank fridges why not other poor people homes especially those suffering from HIV & TB and sickness ?
Many will think about ” FOOD POSIONING “.
Yes you are right .
We have designed systems where by our team members are made to understand looking at the food to know if the food is consumable or not.
Usually poor and underprivileged people never ever complain about food as most of them hardly can afford 2 decent square meals and whatever is given is accepted if not good they will throw out, but they never ever complain.
It's the unwanted idle people who are usually jealous and envy of those who are trying to do good who make issues and show a mole as a hill
If you feel your can sponsor a fridge or two then be assured of UNLIMITED BLESSINGS from so many poor families suffering from HIV & TB and poverty and sickness.
All communications strictly through whstsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

CAN U EVER IMAGINE IN GOA , POOR ETHNIC GOANS FROM VILLAGES WITHOUT FOOD , MEDICINES, AND NOT GOING OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR TEARS DUE TO STIGMA & MENTAL DISABILITIES

24.1.2024.  7 pm IST
Can u ever imagine in Goa , poor ethnic goans from villages without food , medicines, and not going our of the house for years due to stigma & mental disabilities which has passed down from one generation to the next generation.
Due to mental disabilities :
》one sister died,
》one sister has not left the home for years & incase goes out of the house , starts shouting & throwing stones,
》All other related family members also suffering.
Well, many assume and pass comments
” no poor goans in Goa or on the streets “.
Today we took in one sad, disappointing , pathetic, terribly suffering ” elderly mother and an un married and terribly undernourished daughter ” suffering from mental disabilities may be even chronic disabilities.
Father died leaving behind 3 small daughters.
Not exactly sure what and how but one unmarried daughter died suffering from mental disabilities.
Another daughter married but recently showing initial signs of disabilities.
And this 3rd daughter, totally lost and high level of depression which might be some sort of mental disabilities,  being looked after by the elderly widow mother with no source of any money.
When Neighbors give, only then they get food to eat.
Neighbors don't Have any issue in helping but are scared as the daughter gets bouts of aggression & other symptoms of mental disabilities.
For close to 10 years daughter and mother are just in the small house & should by chance the daughter venture out of the house , all trouble breaks loose as she might be taunted, mocked or made fun off which results in the daughter firing bad words, throwing stones, rants and abuses.
One of our village volunteer in this village & an elderly Nun saw their misery and approached us to care & rehabilitate which we consented.
Today the mothers brother admitted into our home with the recommendation of the Local MLA & The Village Panchayat.
These are both LIFE LONG ADMISSION & I have to be responsible for them as long as they live as there is just no one to help them back home.
And most of our admissions are LIFE LONG and I am responsible for them as that's how life is.
They have no money , no saving , no pension,  no government dole , NOTHING.
Easy to Freaking pass comments on social media ” NO Goans are poor or No Goans are on the streets “.
And you should know why and where my anger and attitude comes from.
It arises as The Women & Child Department especially The Deputy Director who turned her heart into stone when she should have been on the ground to here the cries of such horrible instances of our own goan women living in misery.
Simply i don't get angry.
It's been years that Ministers, Directors , Deputy Directors have done absolutely nothing for our own poor goan women suffering from mental disabilities and have no 1st hand data, info or any idea of how widows , unmarried girls , abandoned wives, elderly ladies are living in S*IT suffering from mental disabilities.
This freaking nonsense attitude of these government officials has to stop.
The day I loose my patience  ” I will be forced to sit on the streets with all these ladies ” till it attracts the attention of State Women & Child Minister as well as The Central Women & Child Minister.
As of today we have close to 10 such goan ladies suffering from mental & physical disabilities living in S*IT , pleading & asking for help and we will help and all these are in IPHB.
Once released, may be by this month end, if we don't admitt them , these 10 will reach the streets , make a mess , get a pasting from others, may be even man handled & abused and then again they will be reaffirmed into IPHB.
So do these poor Goan ladies with disabilities admitted in IPHB have any choices ?
We as an NGO can't give these excuses like other do :
☆ We don't have space,
☆ We don't have care givers ,
☆ We only take from this religion ,
☆ We can't manage ladies with disabilities,
☆ Etc
We accept and care for anyone who needs care and help especially if they are goans & poor.
No one is ever refused admission but that requires constant flow of resources.
That's why we constantly upload our work on social media ” showing what we do & asking for donations “.
At the rate mental disabilities is rising I am sure every month we will be taking in 15 – 20 poor goans suffering from mental disabilities.
At current 180 strength add 15 per month to 12 months ie 180 .
So 360 to 400 beds we have to have at any point of time.
If you wish to support us please do but don't pass negative comments as that will come back to you and your family and then it will be to late to reverse the situations.

BISHOP THEODORE MASCARENHAS & BENAULIM MLA CAPT Venzy Viegas SITS DOWN FOR LUNCH @ STREET PROVIDENCE SHELTER HOME ALONG WITH THOSE POOR GOANS SUFFERING FROM DISABILITIES.

22.1.2023. 7pm
♡♡♡ Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas & Benaulim MLA Cpt Venzy Viegas sits down for lunch @ Street Providence shelter home along with those poor goans suffering from disabilities.
Today at our shelter homes @ Cavelossim,  we had a simple lunch for our friends in both these 2 Homes and we were joined by :
☆ Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas ( SFX ) & Priests from Ranchi Archdiocese,
☆ Cpt Venzy Viegas, Benaulim MLA,
☆ Fr Tony Fernandes ( SFX ),
☆ Sr Mariya ( FMCK ) & her fellow nuns ( FMCK ),
☆ John Baptist ( long time Volunteer ),
☆ Press personal ,
☆ Staff of our NGO &
☆ 35 friends, both ladies & gents with disabilities.
It was an simple Thanksgiving lunch for all those present.
Most of our friends in these 2 homes @ Cavelossim are poor homeless goans, suffering from severe mental disabilities and on medication.
Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas and his 3 Priests who are fron Ranchi Archdiocese experienced 1st hand how we @ Street Providence provide service and care to the poor homeless people suffering from mental disabilities.
Street Providence has a home in Daltonganj diocese and we intend add more homes in Daltonganj diocese to cater to the poor in Jharkhand suffering from mental disabilities and homelessness.
Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas & his Priests saw with their eyes the different types of friends in this two homes & how they are on medication for different types of disabilities.
Well , Our friendship with Cpt Venzy goes back before he became an MLA and we always invite him to our homes whenever we have any function.
Cpt Venzy Viegas as the Benaulim MLA too is doing good work across the entire constituency especially on the Health Care front.
Rarely one sees in Goa especially , A Bishop sitting down for a meal with the homeless suffering from disabilities.
Also one seldom see in Goa, an elected MLA taking part in a meal In a shelter home with poor people with disabilities.
I am sure both, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas & Benaulim MLA , Cpt Venzy Viegas experienced the prayers, blessings and good wishes, given by our friends from both these Homes during this small short lunch program.
Usually everyone does these visits during Christmas week & rest of the year no one thinks and visits the homeless in shelter homes.
But both Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas & Benaulim MLA Cpt Venzy Viegas made time & that speaks volumes of their supoort to Street Providence vision ” Ending hunger and homelessness “.

SIR BOSCO GEORGE DON’S A NEW HAT AND A RATHER STRANGE ONE ” VOLUNTEER STREET PROVIDENCE “

20.1.2024. 7pm IST
♡♡♡ A former IPS officer, Sir Bosco George has worn many hats during his 35 years of public Service.
》A Deputy Inspector General of Police ( DIG ) ,
》A Secretary to The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh,
》An Inspector General of Prisons,
》An Aide-de-Camp, to The Governor of Goa (ADC),
》& various other posts.
1.2.23 , Sir Bosco George dons a new hat and a rather strange one ” Volunteer Street Providence “
And very soon it's going to be a one year anniversary.
A freak connection way back in 2019 , where by an unclean man in his locality needed rehabilitation which we obliged.
This incident brought one of the most sincere, upright, honest, soft spoken, Top Goan Cop,
Sir Bosco George face to face with Donald Fernandes, a few who would claim to be abrupt and brash at times and often I am called rude.
Well, our mission of ” ending hunger & homelessness ” caught the imagination of Sir Bosco George.
Two years Well before his retirement, Sir Bosco pledged to work with our NGO as a volunteer and he stood by that pledge.
Usually retd IPS Officers are in big demand by Corporates , Airports , Casinos, etc as they are worth their weight in Gold.
I know quite a few have asked Sir Bosco directly or indirectly ” how in heavens does he manage to serve the NGO , Especially when it's run by Donald ? “.
And there are so many other questions which so many are looking for answers.
His interview of 15 min will answer everything as we @ Street Providence are very very clear in our field work and our service to the poor , the hungry and those suffering various disabilities and turning homeless.
Sir Bosco George is briefed regularly by me about all our future plans across all spectrums of work so that he plans his retirement days without stress.
Having Sir Bosco George Retd IPS on our team resulted in our Manipur relief mission going exactly to plan as Goa to Manipur is one way 4000 kms and with his commitment inspite of the high risks we were able to do so much work across entire Manipur.
Next year as we set up homes beyond the shores of India , I have requested Sir Bosco George to take charge of this project.
Which he has consented.
That's the level of COMMITMENT from Sir Bosco George.
Although I am not sure whether Sir Bosco George will approve this ” Street Providence has a problem solver, a trouble shooter, a fine tuner , a person to go to & that's where Sir Bosco plays his part – PROFESSIONAL FULL TIME VOLUNTEER “.
It's not easy working either full-time as an employee or as a full time volunteer @ Street Providence as our work is complex and often I am very demanding but it's very challenging and takes you places one has not seen, shows you experiences one will never ever find in a book or a movie.
The purpose of this post is to highlight that more retired Government officials should attempt to volunteer with our NGO just like Sir Bosco George is doing and togther we can make this world a better place to live.
Let's keep aside loose talk , apprehensions , unwanted emotions, character assistinations, judgmental decisions about working styles of NGOs and work together to bring about a change by entering the system.
Sir Bosco George has brought alot of new ideas and positive energy in the last 1 year of his association with Street Providence as a full time volunteer and all our Trustees ,our staff , our volunteers and our inmates are proud to have such a wonderful person as part of our team.
Please do watch the interview , leave your comments and share with others who might be willing to be the change.
