THE BEST WAY TO BEST MENTAL DISABILITIES IS AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES & LIVESTOCK FARMING.

7.5.2025  4pm IST
The best way to beat mental disabilities is Agricultural activities & Livestock farming.
We have hard core proof with documented evidence. So read slowly.
And this is going to be our next big project in GOA.
The man in this picture Mr Bahadur who was on the streets of Panjim exactly 4 years back in horrible & terrible conditions.
Alcohol, tobacco, etc drained him of his strength making him loose control over his bowel movements and lived on the streets.
IPHB administered him psychiatric medication.
Slowly he was given physiotherapy which took about 6 months to get his confidence back & started walking by himself although first 2 months he was on a wheel chair.
Bahadur developed a feeling for dogs , chickens , goats ie live stock and agriculture.
About 7 years back we started rearing local chickens & my wife and younger 2 children developed a snack of hatching young chicks.
3 years back I started rearing a pair of goats and
we took time to taste success.
About 3 years back Bahadur to be kept occupied would daily be brought to my house to keep him going as he can't sit quietly.
See God's plan – 3 years back we got our goats & 3 years back Bahadur was back on his feat.
☆☆☆ BAHADUR is a HERDSMAN & A MAN WITH GREEN FINGERS. Which I never knew when I picked him up myself.

Win win situation.

Slowly he took over caring for my dogs , my cat , our numerous chickens , our pair of goats , our fishes in the pond and started growing plants and fruit bearing trees.
His ability to get off alcohol & tobacco automatically reduced his  psychiatric medication which ultimately stopped and he was back to his physical strength.
Today because of BAHADUR , last 5 months we are able to drink goats milk as our goat delivered a baby and Bahadur was the mid wife .
He exactly knew when the baby will be born and when the baby was born he was there cleaning the blood and other stuff right in front of our eyes
I always wanted to grow a vegetable garden and last few months Bahadur has been preparing the soil.
He crushed the dropping of the goats made it powder and dried it completely.
Daily the extra grass of the goats whixh is not consumed is dried & then he burns and collects ash.
This ash, dropping of the goats and dried cow dung he mixed up and sprinkled in the soil where we grew our small vegetable garden.
Within 1 month flat in this summer heat the vegetable is growing very fast and one thing is he waters it faithfully.
Lush green garden in this scorching heat.
Today my family eats local grown eggs and drink goats milk along with local vegetable and fruits like papaya and bananas which Bahadur grows in our compound.
Bahadur named in his language all my dogs , the cat , all the chickens, the goats a separate name
Like I said at the start ” to beat mental disabilities one requires to do Livestock farming & agriculture and today BAHADUR is totally without any psychiatric medication”.
Our biggest set back in our 11 shelter homes in Goa is ” we don't have any excess land to implement this goat rearing, chicken breeding and agriculture as all our Homes are rented and water is an issue “.
But very soon our NGO will be replicating this model through poor families in rural Goa who are having family members suffering from disabilities as well as rural widows.
We will be providing Free Livestock to both the above section of society & we will buy back the produce to sustain the project.
To cut mental disabilities – live stock farming & agriculture activities is the fastest and the best way.
Even old aged or people living alone, a little of live stock & small agriculture is one of the best ways to keep mental health under control along with one being active.
The good news is Minister of Animal husbandry department,  Government of Goa has understood this need of the hour and we are expecting to get this project up and running very soon.
Who would ever imagined that this old unclean man Mr Bahadur about 4 years back would teach me practically about live stock & agricultural activities and today I have a full proof model directly connected to reducing mental disabilities along with livelihood opportunities.
I would like to repeat ” the good you do to others will always come back to you and your family”.
Writing such testimonies is easier said than actually caring for such homeless people in our homes and too many are there on the streets of Goa waiting for a chance to start life again.
All our Homes are overcrowded and without more homes we are not able to take in more homeless people.

MIRACLES HAPPEN AND IT HAPPENED TO ME.

4.5.2025.  10pm IST
Miracles happen and it happened to me.
I was jobless for one full year and now I got a job & the blessings i get is ” a salary without having to physically going to work daily “.
Thanks to this Goan Company based in South Goa.
Blessings of the poor are powerful which makes me go on and on even in difficult moments of life
Well I had a good paying job with a dairy company right from 1.1.2010 to 31.3.24.
Vimal dairy pvt ltd gave me everything in life, money , saving, vehicles & everything I needed.
Because I had financial growth working with this company I started the food bank & the shelter homes way back in 2017 as I too was once on the verge of being homeless & alot of financial difficulties and I understood the meaning of hunger poverty homelessness etc.
But last 13 years , I faithfully saved for a rainy day & I never ever took my family for any outstation holiday nor did I enjoy a good life because the money was in flow.
All our projects got interconnected and our NGO grew from project to project and in a short time we were expanding across other states in India.
But due to too much pressure of work & running the NGO, my medical parameters were taking a hit.
I had to choose between my Job at Vimal dairy or running the NGO primarily the shelter homes.
Many in my circle even my higher ups thought I was a fool to quit a fantastic job at VIMAL DAIRY.
The job came with alot of benefits but I quit after 13 years of service as I needed a break.
Vimal dairy pvt ltd cleared all my dues within 15 days after I quit my job.
Usually these dues go on for months and months
Most of us running NGOs get caught up with our work trying to save the world and we automatically neglect our children & spouse.
But I decided to spend time with my children & that decision turned in my favour.
My eldest son doing 1st semester  computer science topped the 1st semester @ 9.95 Percentile among all the 7 streams in that college.
My younger two children have taken up archery, swimming, table tennis , music as well as doing extremely well in their studies.
Infact my 3rd child represented Goa at the Nationals Under 10 recently at Andhra Pradesh.
I was around to drop & pick them up from school and take them for their never ending practices for various activities.
My medical condition started improving, I started live stock farming at home along with a vegetable garden , life was amazing.
But i needed a job as I was diping into my saving.
Our NGO has close to 85 staff and imagine every month I sign their salary cheques & I don't have a job myself.
Last 1 year when we as a family say our daily Rosary/ night prayers I would loudly prophecy
” thank you God for my Job”.
Infact one of my child asked me ” Dada you don't have a job but why are you prophecinng that you have a job “.
Well I learnt this from my good friend ” BJ ” whose retreats I would attend along time back,  that always speak the future, speak the truth not the fact.
The fact is I don't have a job.
But facts becomes the Truth and truth are not facts. And today the Truth is I have a job.
What we speak is what comes to pass.
In the last week of March 25 , a God fearing employee of a company that daily gives one of our home fresh food convinced his Goan Director/ owner to employ me as a employee on retainership basis for a good salary for atleast six months to start with.
This Director / owner also is a good acquitance of our Full time Volunteer Sir Bosco George & only once we all met togther in their office way back in October 2024.
Many times NGOs are looked up as money making units.
People troll me , talk nasty things , spread negative comments, etc.
If one believes that NGOs are money making units then what stops anyone one from setting up an NGO and make money.
Life at an NGO like Street Providence is not easy and a roller coaster .
It's a stressful life with full of responsibility & commitment.
One mistake the staff makes & that's enough to start the troubles.
But on the brighter side running an NGO systematically gets you :
× long term benefactors which we have
× government grants which we avail
× administrative support across departments
× retd IPS officers as volunteers like Sir Bosco
× weekly fresh food from The Governor which is in the 3rd year running enough to feed 100 residents in our homes
× CSR funding without having to bribe anyone
& now a job for me so that I can provide for my family & meet my daily needs.
Coming year end another two IAS / IPS officers on their retirement have committed to work as volunteers with our NGO full time.
This is called BLESSINGS FROM THE POOR as its favour of God & man.
Still for those few envious & jealous souls always trying to spew venom and bitch about me – well keep going with your negative energy.
God will send some one to help you when you go out of your way to help another.
If you can't help the poor directly then help us through your donations and we will help the poor.
You will surely get the blessings.
Also remember blessings & curses of the poor , hungry , abandoned, lonely, can either build one up or can cause turmoil in one's life.
Thank you for reading this long post.
Your comments are welcome and if any way I can be of help to anyone going thru Any disappointment in life please whatsapp me.
I have been thru the worst days in all possible situations until I experienced the power and blessings coming from the poorest of the poor in the work I do and very soon we will across all states in India and across the boundaries of India.

WE @ STREET PROVIDENCE GOA ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS , ACROSS GOA TO GIVE THIS LOVE & CARE TO HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES

20.4.25. 8pm IST
A Very Happy & joyful Easter to one & all.
Good Friday & Easter Sunday tells us alot about one thing LOVE.
We @ Street Providence Goa are in need of VOLUNTEERS , across Goa to give this LOVE & CARE to hundreds if not thousands suffering from mental disabilities especially the poor , senior citizens, widows, the lonely.
Today families across Goa , especially the poor and illiterate are suffering with own blood members who are persons with mental disabilities.
There is a huge demand for rehabilitation at our homes and very soon we will be unable to provide care In our homes to all & sundry.
If each village has VOLUNTEERS who can identify people with initial stages of mental disabilities then 80% of the problems can be solved in the families itself.
OR if in each village in Goa our volunteers are available then families can approach these volunteers either for :
》Appointments at the IPHB,
》Reminders about their monthly visits to IPHB,
》Transportation to the IPHB,
》Medication if to be bought from outside,
》A person shoulder to fall on in the future if the family member with disabilities is not stabilizing,
》A support to admitt into IPHB if too aggressive.
What Street Providence is offering to VOLUNTEERS:
》A dedicated man power at IPHB to facilitate the evaluation of a person with disabilites on the day of the appointment or follow up.
》Medication as at times not all medicines are provided free of cost at IPHB.
》Admission into our rehab homes incase of actual need of care & rehabilitation.
Assistance to admitt into IPHB if the patient is violent and uncontrollable.
We have mastered the Art of caring for highly chronic patients suffering from all types of mental disabilities of which 95% are poor goans and the services are free of cost so our target is the poorest of the poor.
With a current bed capacity of 250 beds we are intending to go upto 500 beds before December 2025.
With assured support from the Government of Goa through various departments & with ample of man power available at our homes it's time to reach out to as many as possible especially the poor in Goa who are having family members with mental disabilities but no free facilities to rehabilitate them.
To be a Volunteer one needs to be kind hearted and have love to serve and care for those suffering quietly with mental disabilities.
It may sound difficult & frightening working in the field of mental disabilities.
But belive me ” it's a direct blessing from God ” as I am an example of how much i & my family have received GOD even though I don't qualify for these super natural blessings.
We have an online form which needs to be filled up once you make up your mind to be a Volunteer in your village for helping persons with mental disabilities.
Pure service without any payment and without any social media promotion.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564.
God bless you all

WHO IS TO BE BLAMED FOR NDPS REACHING TO SCHOOL & COLLEGE CHILDREN ACROSS OUR STATE ?

12.11 2024. 7pm IST
Who is to be blamed for NDPS reaching to school & college children across our state ?
The answer is at the end of this post so read slowly.
There are many causes for mental disabilities & the most frightening cause is substance abuse or NDPS which in due course of time leads to mental disabilities & even difficult to handle intellectual disabilities.
NDPS distribution is a well organised system which involves all level of powers to be,  as without higher up support, nothing happens.
Who suffers ? Young children.
Who we blame ? The Government.
Well two sections of children are very vulnerable and that is 9th std & 11th std.
Why these two sections?
Well all suppliers of NDPS have their own demarcated areas to conduct their business with monthly PROTECTION outgoing at all levels.
Any new entrant / supplier in a demarcated Area leads to the PROTECTION outgoing reducing even if the new entrant/ supplier has actually moved even 1% of what that demarcated area actually consumes.
So what happens – the old supplier gets the new supplier out of his area.
How ? – by stopping his PROTECTION charges going up to all levels.
Or
Wherever and whoever gets their regular PROTECTION charges , use the authorities & fix the new supplier.
But by now the new supplier tasted huge windfall returns and searches for new clients.
The only new clients always which are available will be 9th & 11th std students.
The education stress is so high that parents like me included want my child to do well .
But what about the child ?
Is the parent monitoring the child progress?
Is the parent physically dropping and picking up ones own child ?
Is the parent aware of the activity in the education place & extra classes place ?
Is the parent sitting daily with the child at home to help with the child studies?
My wife quit her job after marriage to dedicate  her time and energy to the welfare of our children.
For 4 full years , ie entire 9th to 12th std we both dropped and picked up daily our son to school  and college and when not possible we employed a senior citizen motor cycle pilot as we stay in a place where public transport is not existing.
My wife sits with all 3 of our children for all their studies daily.
No tutuions.
Being aware of the lolly pops ie NDPS,  the new suppliers offer to young children in 9th & 11th std, made us both dedicate our time to pick up and drop all 4 years.
Well all of us parents are caught up with our own lives and jobs.
We all want DOUBLE INCOME any how.
Young children want love and affection from parents which today times is substituted by cash bikes phones parties etc.
Both parents are or may be working or may be business activities or political activities , so child is by one self.
Now such children are told by these new entrants / suppliers ” see if you take this tablet your memory level will increase and you will pass with flying colors without stress and studying hard”.
That's the start of a new permanent customer to this new supplier.
Basically all children from rural parts travel to the bigger towns and cities for education purposes and that's how NDPS has reached into rural parts of the state.
Once these children get hooked to NDPS and we parents notice the symptoms, most of the times the damage has been done & recovery is slow or never going to happen.
Any damages done by consumption of NDPS ie synthetic substance the recovery will happen only after 6 years of rehabilitation & that too upto may be 50% of the mental level.
There is no ANTIDOTE to NDPS which is a  chemical in a tablet sold as a lolly pop.
And,  year after year the chemical tablet gets upgraded meaning the kick is faster as well as the cells in the mind / brain breaking down even more faster.
Our mind / brain is made up if cells & NDPS consumption destroys the cells slowly but damages are huge.
Trust me by 2029 , the population across our state will be going through a huge turmoil & the no of cases due to NDPS consumption will be next to impossible to handle as well as contain.
We are already overloaded with requests for rehabilitation of NDPS consumption people that it's driving me nuts.
Not easy to handle,  if these minds have acquired INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES than it's a big no from my side to even try to help.
Ultimately such types of NDPS related people will end up in a very frightening  & disturbing state of dying – either killed or dead due to no NDPS or due to no care and rehabilitation.
Let's stop blaming the government & go to the root cause.
The PROTECTION  by the suppliers to the top most level of our system is then used back to fund programs and events at all important festivals around the year.
Every one is searching for donations with the respective authorities and these figures are running into crores for certain festivals.
If we have to fight NDPS it has to start from mine & your family.
Stop blaming the government and start caring for our own children in our homes and not in our houses.
Homes and houses are two different meanings for those who know what it means.
I hope you all who have read this long post got an answer to my opening question ” WHO IS TO BE BLAMED “.
I am making my self clear ” these are my studies and interactions with inmates in our homes, with parents who come to me crying, to people who I meet across sections connected to NDPS, medical prescriptions & medical reports of patients suffering from NDPS , interactions with authorities, people with higher powers , etc.
As a parent please keep an eye and ear on your child speaking about medical boosters to increase education efficiency.
More rehabilitation homes are required to meet the demand for rehabilitation for children above 18 years.

IT’S ABOUT WHAT WE ALL CAN DO FOR SOCIETY NO MATTER HOW HIGH RANKING ONE IS

10.11.2024. 7pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE is all about TEAM WORK.
In this picture attached with this post you will see three IPS officers who understand words like homeless, disabilities, hunger , old aged,  abandoned parents.
It's about what we all can do for society no matter how high ranking one is.
Of the three IPS officers :
☆ 1. We have a retired DIG, Sir Bosco George, Goa Police.
☆ 2. We have an ADC to Hon Governor of Goa, Sir Vishram Borkar, Goa Police.
☆ 3. We have an SP at Ratnagiri district , due for     promotion very soon, Sir Dhananjay Kulkarni,       Maharashtra Police.
◇ 1. Let's start with Sir Bosco & how we got connected.
During BG tenure as an SP @ Panjim may be in 2019 , he spotted an unclean man who needed rehabilitation and we got a call.
We responded quickly and got the man to our shelter home & immediately presented the issues of homeless on the streets to BG who took up this matter to his seniors and an SOP was created.
Relations were maintained and i assume BG shared my views that poor homeless people on the streets with disabilities too have a right to live a dignified life In a shelter home.
Whenever I met BG in his office one sentence was always spoken ” when I retire I would like to volunteer to serve the poor as in my last 35 years of service I have benefitted from the state and it's time to give back “.
31st Jan 2023 was the last day of BG at Goa Police and within a few days , we enrolled or rather BG joined in as a full time Volunteer specifically to handle government paper work for Our NGO.
◇ 2. Now let's go to Sir Vishram Borkar who has been ADC to Hon Governor of Goa and in the last 6+ years in Raj Bhavan he has worked with 4 Governors.
Thru our food bank we intended to put a fridge at Raj Bhavan to collect extra food and BG had spoken to Mr Borkar to see how best this can work out.
Due to security reasons, fridge was not permitted to be installed at Raj Bhavan but another wonderful opportunity arose.
Hon Governor of Goa ( I assume on the recommendation / consultation of his ADC
Mr Borkar ) offered to donate 100 fresh cooked meals every week from the Raj Bhavan to our homes which continued for over 2 years and due to the ongoing construction at Raj Bhavan , instead of cooked food , Hon Governor gives us dry ration every week last 9 months to prepare 100 meals.
Across all Raj Bhavans in India , this is the only Governor donating food to a FOOD BANK to feed the homeless people with disabilities in shelter homes.
◇ 3. Well now the 3rd IPS officer,  Mr Kulkarni is a colleague of Sir Bosco George, may be from 2019 and now after BG retirement, is a colleague of Sir Vishram Borkar.
Sir Dhananjay Kulkarni has worked in Interpol and foreign missions and understands alot of hardships poor people go through.
As an SP of Ratnagiri district, Sir Kulkarni has huge issues at hand as this district is having Maharashtra 2nd biggest mental hospital / institute, but shelter homes for poor people with disabilities is a need of the hour especially for men.
Since we have homes now at Sawantwadi & Kankavali, it makes easier for us to expand into Ratnagiri as there is demand, as there is an institute to treat the poor with mental disabilities and an officer who has a heart to hear the cries of the poor people with mental disabilities.
Earlier this week we all were driven 250 kms one way by my good friend Mr Prakash from Saligao to Ratnagiri where we meet :
》The SP of Ratnagiri District,
》The Collector of Ratnagiri District &
》The MS of Ratnagiri mental hospital.
Police officials are the 1st line of contact to help the poor on the streets who majority are always suffering from mental disabilities.
My experience in Goa last 7 years of dealing with the Police as well as our IPHB ( Mental hospital at Bambolim) has been very good and satisfying & we will implement this formula across other districts in States where we start such homes for the poor people with mental disabilities.
For any shelter home caring for poor homeless people with mental disabilities to run successfully, only 2 departments are required :
Local police & local mental hospital.
Both these departments have to trust each other as Police bring people with disabilities from the streets and admitt.
But once stabilised, Police don't take them away as Police don't run shelter homes.
Institutes / mental hospitals don't want people with mental disabilities to live long time in their premises and that's where SHELTER HOMES like us come in.
One Gentleman named Sir Bosco George decided on retirement to work for the poor on the streets with mental disabilities and today we have a small team of kind hearted retired and retiring in the future IPS OFFICERS having a heart to do something for society in whatever little way possible.
Must add here Sir Arvind Gawas retd IPS too plays his part as we got connected to him at MOPA Airport through sir Bosco George as the recovery agency for lost and found items.
If you are a retired government official in Goa , Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand & Manipur and wish to give back to society especially towards poor people on the streets with mental disabilities then we have many opening & opportunities to use your experience & expertise in the field of your specialization.
We operate strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380097564 so please avoid calling.
God bless you all

FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA SAVES MOTHER EARTH 40000 KGS or 40 TONNES OF GOOD COOKED FACTORY FOOD FROM REACHING THE BINS

4.11.2024. 7pn IST
FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA saves Mother Earth 40000 kgs or 40 tonnes of good Cooked factory food from reaching the bins in the last 7 months ie April 24 to Oct 24.
♡♡♡ Thanks to these 9 companies at Verna Industrial Estate for donating their extra canteen food to feed the poor.
♡  Commscope
♡  IFB
♡ Microlabs
♡ Cipla
♡ Marksons
♡ Siemens
♡ Teva
♡ Lupin
♡ Sanofi.
Above link is of how :
we collect food from these factories,
In food grade plastic containers &
In our special food refrigerated truck only used for food collection.
Today there is an alternative to saving extra food reaching the bins and more companies should come forward to save our Mother Earth from being dumped with extra food.
India current Global Hunger Index is @ 105 out of 127 countries in the World and annually our country throws out 70 million tonnes into the bins.
We are daily doing our little part in saving Mother Earth as well as feeding the poor but this would not be possible with the support and encouragement of Factories and Boilers department under the guidance of the Secretary Mr Sanjit Rodrigues IAS & Chief Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers Mr Anant Pangam.
Feeding the hungry and donating blood are two services which transcends caste creed and religion and people should understand this before passing below the belt comments.
Just imagine and visualize these 40 tonnes or
40000 kgs of food reaching the bins if we had not collected and fed the poor & needy, from these 9 factories.
If all the factories in Verna Industrial Estate had joined in this donation of their extra factory good food we would have collected 300 tonnes during April 24 to October 24.
So basically 240 tonnes of food reached Mother Earth in the last 7 months from Verna.
But the sad part or the thinking is ” once extra factory food leaves my factory gate why I & my management are bothered “.
If we don't change our thinking very soon Mother Earth will start retaliating and that will be disastrous for man kind.

IT’S A hell OF A LIFE BEING A WOMAN AND A MOTHER,  WHO IS HOMELESS & SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISABILITIES AS NO ONE WANTS SUCH PEOPLE

3.11.2024. 6pm IST
Please thank God that all / most of you reading this post are not Homeless and neither are suffering from mental disabilities.
As it's a hell of a life being a woman and a mother,  who is homeless & suffering from mental disabilities as no one wants such people including our  government & society at large.
Five goan homeless ladies in this video :
☆ 1. Marie aunty is 80 years living on the streets for  15 + years near Panjim navtara
☆ 2. Philomena aunty is 86 years old from Fatorda.
☆ 3. Lalita Tai 80 years old from Panjim.
☆ 4. Devta chodankar 55 years old.
☆ 5. Memita 55 years old from Curtorim.
Of the above 5 goan ladies , 4 are mothers but abandoned and turned homeless.
All brought by the Goa Police and all on psychiatric medications with no one to take care of them.
So till they are alive,  it's only in 2 places one will find them :
IPHB ie mental hospital or
Shelter home ie street Providence.
And have many more such ladies and gents abandoned by their children due to economic or due to mental disabilities.
Also very sad that today 68 such people are in IPHB living there for months & years as there is no home for them & no one to care for them ,
54 men & 14 ladies.
Society at large expects the government of the day to care for such genuine ethnic poor abandoned Homeless ladies with mental disabilities.
And the Government expects NGO & shelter homes to do their work for free without the government bearing or sharing the costs.
And this is the reason why 200+ million people in our country are suffering from serious mental disabilities with the poorest of the poor and women the worst sufferers.
And the numbers are rising but mid way homes or rehabilitation homes by all governments are moving at a snail pace.
Coming back to Goa, take out for a moment our NGO and just look around and remember any other NGO working in the field of free health care & rehabilitation non stop last 7 years for beggars, vagabonds and poor people with mental disabilities, while continously increasing the bed capacity and it's all FREE for the poorest of the poor.
We started in :
》2017 with just 20 beds and in
》2023 we had 240 beds capacity and in
》2025 we plan 500 beds capacity in Goa.
Plus 150 beds capacity in other states.
And mind you we don't own any home or any property, all rented.
Collaborators/ landlords/ owners of our homes are not easy to handle as we have to pay the rent everymonth come what may.
It's difficult stressful complicated highly costly especially when you don't know where the money is coming to pay the expenses and the bills.
Many think NGOs make alot of money thru donations but then if that's the thought process why are there no shelter homes for free in Goa?
Enough of empty homes/ buildings etc are there in Goa but no one is entering this services.
We appreciate The Goa State Government under The Hon CM of Goa Dr Pramod Sawant which is partially supporting our homes thru :
◇ Women & Child Department ,
◇ Social Welfare Department &
◇ Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
Plus alot of other Government departments.
But the demand is too much and more and more goan people are turning homeless and suffering from mental disabilities.
You must be following us,  how last few years we having fighting with the state government for funding and after many years of struggle we have reached just 40% of the budget being granted to us.
If we don't get the remaining 60% budget we will be forced to hit the streets by 6th or 7th November 2024 as we just can't manage anymore.
Then when we hit the streets The Government gets upset with us.
We care for poor homeless patients who are basically:
》Bed ridden patients with mental disabilities,
》Amputated patients with mental disabilities,
》Chronic sickness with mental disabilities,
》HIV & TB with mental disabilities,
》Highly chronic patients with mental disabilities and will never ever recover as long as they live,
》Unwed mothers with mental disabilities,
》Abandoned childless wives with mental disabilities,
》Drug abuse and alcoholic with mental disabilities,
》Patients who attempt suicide like slitting their hands, drinking phenlye, using sharp objects to harm their bodies, violent and very aggressive in nature.
The list is endless.
We just are happy to be doing the little we can to bring little light and joy to those who need food clothing shelter and health care.
Frankly speaking I am not even a science background student and i am the least qualified man to run such services with high level of impatience.
But some one needs to fill the gaps and I assume pressume & conclude it's God's calling.
It's your duty if you see such poor GOAN homeless people with mental disabilities on the streets of GOA,  to lodge a complaint with the nearest police station especially If its a lady and see that the local police gets the person to a hospital so that they can be stabilised before we can take them into our homes.
We thank our numerous benefactors, majority who have been with me from 2017 and have yet to meet me in person and this may be a good number of such benefactors for the silent monthly donations month after month , year after year, only understanding our work through social media and word of mouth.

STOPPING OF FOOD WASTAGE IS SOMETHING BENEFICIAL TO COUNTRY AS IT WILL HELP US REDUCE OUR GLOBAL HUNGER INDEX

29.10.24. 6pm IST
Stopping of Food wastage is something beneficial to country as it will help us reduce our Global hunger index as well as reduce our wet waste and the hungry & the poorest of the poor get food on their plate.
Recently October 2024 ,  India was placed at 105 out of 127 countries at the Global Hunger Index.
Our country annually throws our 70 million tonnes of food every year .
☆ It's 70000000000 kgs ( 7 with 10 zeroes ).
Did you see or hear anyone raising this issue why Global Hunger Index is so high or why our food wastage annually is increasing ?
Just shouting about garbage increasing leads us to no where.
But I have a plan to lead our country to somewhere which will solve so many issues.
So what's the easiest and quickest way to reduce out Global Hunger Index ?
Food Banks is the answer.
In Goa we are a registered food bank with the FSSAI dept and on a daily basis we have been collecting hundreds of kilograms of food for the last 7 years.
♡♡♡ Thanks to Factories & boilers dept, Government of Goa, under the Secretary Sir Sanjit Rodrigues IAS & Chief Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers Sir Anant Pangam who put a program recently, where we contacted 9 factories in Verna Industrial Estate to accept their extra cooked canteen food and from April 24 to Sept 24 ,
& we collected 34 tonnes or 34000 kgs of food which otherwise would have reached the dumps.
Overall for April 24 to Sept 24 we collected close to 39 tonnes or 39000 kgs of good Cooked extra food.
On an average Goa is throwing out daily 10000 kgs to 12000 kgs of cooked food only from all different types of sectors.
And we are only collecting 400 kgs to 500 kgs daily from one sector ie Factories.
Our 1st target ie Factories & canteen contractors at all Industrial Estates in Goa.
Industrial Estates which employ 500 employees and above are daily wasting 30 kgs to 40 kgs of good extra canteen food in all industrial Estates across Goa.
We have a running and well establish model of collecting extra cooked food from factories and feeding the poor.
Now understand in 6 months ,  39000 kgs of food which was surely going to the dumps was stopped and given away to the poor in Goa.
Verna Industrial Estate itself is daily throwing out 2000 kgs to 3000 kgs alone from 70 odd big factories in this area.
Then there are other Industrial Estates in Goa.
Hon CM of Goa and the Minister incharge of Waste management of Goa if really interested in reducing the wet waste in Goa should implement our model which is tried and tested and working perfectly well.
This model can also be used across India.
Last many years our Global hunger index is above 100 and below 110.
Malnutrition is very high in our states which one can easily find details online.
Why should poor sleep hungry when so much of food including cooked meals, vegetables, fruits , grains, packaged food etc is just thrown out ?
Garbage plants don't run free .
Taxpayers money is used to run these garbage plants.
Today we have highlighted the issues at a public awareness meet at Azad Maidan Panjim.
We are not blaming anyone but it's a call both to the Factories at all industrial Estates and our Goa Government to work with us as a registered Food bank to feed the hungry, reduce wet waste as well as bring down our Global hunger index.
Most factories pay to dispose their:
》Bio medical waste ,
》Hazzard waste,
》Chemical waste .
But when it comes to the extra cooked canteen food which remains after each meal in the factory they give it back to their canteen contractor who might be or surely will be throwing out into the garbage dumps.
How sad and disappointing to Mother Earth.
I travel and visit many factories in Goa and see many big big statements about VISION & DREAMS of each owner of these factories are put up in the reception area.
But in reality  non of these factories through their managers had a slight clue or idea about:
◇ 1. How much cooked food which is already paid for by the company to the canteen contractor was actually wasted.
◇ 2. Exactly what was the canteen contractor doing with this extra canteen food that he took back from the canteen cafeteria.
◇ 3. Where was this food being disposed.
It's more like ” in my factory everything is spik and span, clean “.
” but outside my factory why I am bothered “.
That's what irritated me and I have decided to do my little part of saving food from going to the dumps even though I don't generate wet waste and I too can say what most factory managers and top level management say ” why am I bothered where the good Cooked food goes once it leaves my factory”.
Last if all stake holders work togther in this line of discussion we togther can achieve alot across India starting from :
reducing our Global hunger index
reducing our wet waste
reducing malnutrition
We @ Food Bank Sangolda are ready.
For those working in factories & canteen contractors ae you also interested and ready?
