It's about how poor homeless people and those suffering from Chronic mental disabilities are rehabilitated in our shelter homes .
Easy service but tough at times.
Most of the inmates both ladies and gents are beyond repairs while entering our home
Its the medication that helps them to slowly but surely come back on track .
It's A SERVICE THAT OUR NGO provides and NOT A FAVOUR.
And when u as a BENEFACTOR belive me through my posts, you too are providing them a SERVICE through your donation.
And that SERVICE which we provide is called KINDNESS which has to come back to you, me & our families.
Getting a homeless person or those suffering from chronic disabilities to sit and draw or sit and write on a piece of paper is really difficult at times.
The ladies are the difficult to teach but teachable for sure as Compared to men.
The ladies we care and look after are 80% goans & all are suffering from chronic mental disabilities and are :
☆ Widows
☆ Unwed mothers
☆ Divorced childless women
☆ Single mothers thrown out of homes
☆ Old & abandoned married ladies
But these are ladies in the ladies homes who are encouraged and are doing :
☆ paper making & craft
☆ flower making
☆ Crochet
☆?Rug making
☆ Drawing and beeding
☆ Play dough
All the ladies are taken for Physiotherapy to our Physiotherapy centre .
Besides they are encouraged to do Exercises, dance , out door games and board games etc.
This Is how the day is gone througn by these ladies in our shelter homes.
Infact within the next few weeks, one Goan lady who is just 10th standard, middle aged, divorced, homeless, abandoned her by her husband & her brother and once was taken psychiatric medicine will be using a computer to do basic excel sheets and other word related applications in our office.
It's too do with KINDNESS
Our men's homes work perfectly well as they all look after themselves and do their own work .
Those men who have stabilized and faithfully take their medicines are a big blessings to our NGO .

I was kind to the 1st batch of homeless men way back in 2017 & 2018 and a few of these men have stayed back after rehabilitation and look after the other men suffering from :
◇ Mental disabilities
◇ Physical disabilities
◇ Bed ridden men
◇ Men who are incapacitated ,
Otherwise it's next to impossible to look after 100+ homeless men suffering from disabilities with a very skeleton paid men care givers.
