WE DISTRIBUTED NEW BLANKETS AND NEW MONKEY CAPS IN A GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL @ NERTAVALI

7.2.25.  9pm IST
Hon Social Welfare Minister of Goa ,
Shri Subhash Phal Dessai & along with our Volunteer Mr Akash Pednekar distributed new blankets and new monkey caps in a Government primary school @ NERTAVALI , which is an interior part of SANGUEM.

STREET PROVIDENCE GOA this week also reached out to a goan widow & her family in mungul Margao & provided financial aid to pay the labourers towards repairing the house roof work as the bills were way beyond the quoted amount & desperation had set in how to foot the bills.
Well on Wednesday 5th February 2025, our NGO donated new blankets & monkey caps to 260+ students at a Government school in one of the remote areas of Sanguem ie at NETRAVALI.
It's not that the parents can't afford but as an outreach program and to beat the chill which Goa Is facing this February we undertook this warm drive.
Hon Social Welfare Minister took time out of his busy schedule and distributed these warm items to the students.
Also present was Our long term volunteer incharge of Sanguem, Quepem & Curchorem constituencies Mr Akash Pednekar , who was responsible in planning and implemented this new blankets and monkey cap distribution at this school in Netravali Sanguem.
Last week 29thJan 2025 there was a video on social media where by an elderly goan widow and her daughter in Mungul Margao were in a bit of a spot as they had opened their wooden roof of their home and to their surprise the roof was eaten up beyond their expectations by termites.
( This was the link asking for help )
The local church had arranged an amount which was handed over to them but once they opened the roof the work costs increased as more laborers were required to fix the roof.
Mr John Baptist our longest volunteer who is the incharge of Salcette Taluka , went to verify the details and suggested that this goan widow and her family should be helped ASAP.
5th February 2025, John Baptist on behalf of our NGO handed over the the envelope which covered 80% of the increased labour costs which brought cheer and smiles to this goan poor family.
( this was the link after we gave the help )
All projects in Salcette Taluka is handled by John Baptist on our behalf.
In both these programs, you will not see any faces either of me or my Trustees as we don't belive in personal publicity but rather we see that relief is provided to those who need relief.
Our volunteers need to be appreciated for they spend their time and energy representing us In most of the projects across Goa.
We have full time volunteers in all the CONSTITUENCIES of South Goa especially in
the Talukas of Canacona, Sanguem, quepem, Salcette , Marmagoa, Dharbandora & Ponda.
Lots of poor goan families in need of Help and we are only focusing on reaching out to the poorest of the poor who are our goans across all sections of society.
You can always support our NGO in any way you are comfortable with.

THIS POST IS ABOUT 2 FOOD BANK PROJECTS

3.2.2025. 9pm IST
This post is about 2 food bank projects :
☆ 1. FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA collects 55000 kgs or 55 tonnes of good Cooked food in the last 10 months from 9 factories at Verna , which were surely going to the landfills if not for a department called FACTORIES & BOILERS.
Details attached in a poster.
♡♡♡ Thanks to the :
♡ Secretary of Factories and Boilers,
♡ Government of Goa, Sir Sanjit Rodrigues IAS &
♡ Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers Government of Goa, Sir Anant Pangam.
Both these officials studied and understood the concept last year Jan 2024 and results are here for all to see as they implemented the project from 1.4.24 with these 9 companies.
Yes our mission of ending Hunger and homelessness is about shelter homes & Food Banks.
It's called INTEGRATION for those who understand.
Without food it's impossible to feed the poor and run shelter homes.
We have 9 big factories whose details are in the poster attached who were part of a program to save Food from reaching the landfills and channelised to feed the poor and needy through our Food bank.
Of course there is a small monthly charge per factory which enables us to move the food daily.
6 factories faithfully pay us the agreed amount.
● 1 factory we don't take any charges as they have been a good CSR partner for many years.
● 1 factory made us tie up with their canteen contractor who assured us in front of the officials of Factories and Boilers to pay us the assured monthly charges but for the last 10 months is refusing to honour the commitment & purposely before our truck reaches the kitchen, sends the food to the dumps that's why if you minutely look at the chart the food from a 1000 kgs a month has reached 70 kgs a month.
● 1 company assured us a product which they manufacture in their place, in place of their monthly charges, which we use in our homes, we agreed, gave for 4 months the particular product but now refuses.
Says we can't honour the commitment and  wrote a mail saying ” take the food if you want or we will throw it out “. And mind you it's 1000 kgs a month food wasted.
It's like they are giving away their food to beggars and one of those beggars they assume is me based on the attitude of this company officials.
Still we collect the food free of cost.
If everyone expects a food bank to collect food free of cost then who will bear the expenses ?
That's why we are having wet waste issues and The Hon Chief Minister of Goa is not doing his part to look into our model which is already TRIED , TESTED , IMPLEMENTED & WORKING.
There are 2 other departments which the Hon CM of Goa should put into this project :
Labour Department &
Environment Department.
I have handed over a presentation to The office of The Labour Minister few months back, no reply.
Why labour Department?
Because all factories use canteen contractors and these contractors are registered with the labour Department.
Just like Factories and Boilers Dept have instructed these 9 factories to give away their extra canteen cooked food to the Food bank in the same way , the labour Minister through his Labour Secretary & Labour Director should enforce all canteen contractors to give away their extra cooked food to the food bank.
The Labour Minister is also the Minister for Solid waste management.
It's a ideal way for the Labour Minister to reduce the wet waste but not sure if The Minister cares for my letter.
Last week Secretary Of Factories and Boilers took a review meeting in the Secretariat which was attended by The Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers and almost 15 companies which included the 9 existing Factories and 6 more additional Factories who have understood the need to join this program of saving good Cooked canteen food going waste.
Factories & boilers dept has set a target of 8 tonnes a month to collect for the year 25 -26 from these 16 Factories.
Currently we are collecting 5 tonnes a month from these 9 Factories.
Overall all, Factories in Goa throw out cooked food of this volume :
5000 kgs or 5 tonnes a day or
150000 kgs or 150 tonnes a month.
And we in Goa keep shouting wet waste.
If Factories and Boilers Dept Government of Goa can take a lead to reduce wet waste then WHY can't Environment Dept and Labour Department not join in .
Hon CM of Goa you need to look into this burning issue of Wet waste and the solution is in front of you.
☆ 2. From 1st January 2025 , food bank is providing Free cake / basket of fruits / bag of fresh  vegetables to 2000 GOANs senior citizens suffering from disabilities with a UDID Card and registered with the Government of Goa, on their birthday right at their door step.
Entire month of January 2025 our team visited 60 homes of goans with disabilites on their birthday.  A small video attached with this post.
The proceeds that we get by collecting factory food goes partly into funding the free cake project for senior citizens with disabilities, along with potential donnors who are also sponsoring Cake for the project.

FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA FROM 1.1.2025,  HAS BEEN PROVIDING A BIRTHDAY CAKE TO ANY SENIOR CITIZENS WITH DISABILITIES

31.1.2025.  10pm IST
FOOD BANK SANGOLDA GOA from 1.1.2025,  has been providing A BIRTHDAY CAKE to any senior citizen with disabilities, right to the door step free of cost, only in GOA.
This project is from 1st Jan 25 to 31st Dec 25.
We have identified 2000 goans who are senior citizens, registered with the Government, having a disability Certificate/ UDID Card and suffering from disabilities and on their birthday, we are providing a Free cake or a basket of fruits or Vegetables.
We employed on a Salary basis , a middle aged goan girl who is herself totally physical challenged without hands and legs and yet able to use a phone and a laptop who does the tele calling for the project from her home.
We have confirmed data of these senior citizens with disabilities and their birthdays.
The girl calls these senior citizens, introduces herself and our NGO.
Then the girl inquires whether their birthday is on the day the data is showing & asks if they would like to receive a Free birthday cake.
Some say yes while others say no.
Then the girl inquires of they would like Fruits or vegetables.
Once the girl gets the details with address, Landmark and time of delivery , she posts on a WhatsApp group where our volunteers are present.
We have volunteers right from :
Tip of Goa ie Pernem to the last point of Goa ie Loliem in Canacona & from
Mormugao to Valpoi to Dharbandora & Sanguem
We are covering all 12 takukas in Goa.
Imagine the planning, coordination &  implementation only through whatsapp messages.
All this took alot of time & effort.
Ultimately all the team members feel that joy and satisfaction when they visit a senior citizen with disabilities on their birthday.
You must be wondering who is footing the bills & why is a small NGO like us doing this ?
Reaching out for the full year, to over 2000 senior citizens with disabilities for their birthday is going to cost us Rs 10 lacs to Rs 12 lacs.
We @ Street Providence are doing this as no one understands ” disabilities ” better than us as we prefer to get the work done rather than see them just left alone and suffering.
In our shelter homes last 7 years, we celebrate each resident birthday with a nice cake and good food and that's when I decided to go beyond our homes.
We all including me celebrate our birthdays and our children / spouse / parents birthday where thousands if not lacs are spent.
Last one month we have seen really poor goans with disabilites who no one might or rather there is no one to celebrate their birthday.
Each birthday gift is between Rs 400 to Rs 600.
Depending on the location.
So next time you are celebrating your birthday or of a family members birthday, do think about our poor senior citizen Goans who through your donations also feel that joy and happiness as we reach them at their door step.
This is where and how we intend to raise the resources.
But 1st we decided to put in our funds, set up the project, sort out the likely issues, get the team members into the system and now after 1 month make this project public through our social media post.
Infact in the coming week there will be a press conference with all our team members connected to this project along with The Social Welfare Minister and The Social Welfare Director who has been very supportive of this innitative.
One of its kind across India.
Well this entire month of January 2025 I took a complete break from all platforms of social media to recharge my body and that's the reason you did not receive any whatsapp updates on our work at our NGO.
We ended the year 2024 on a very high note, thanks to our benefactors, staff and volunteers who have supported our mission of ” ending Hunger and homelessness “.
Beginning of 2025 right from 1st Jan we :
☆ 1. Blessed & innaugrated a small new office at Sangolda at the hands of Bishops Theodore Mascarenhas.
☆ 2. We also Blessed a brand new Morgue to be used by parishioners of St Diogo Church Guirim & those in need FREE of cost at the hands of Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas.
☆ 3. We did a complete soft launch / run for the full month of January 25 of reaching out to 60+ senior citizens suffering from disabilities on their birthday by providing them a free birthday cake or fruits and vegetables
☆ 4. Republic Day 2025 , Navtara sponsored 1000 meals for the poor which were distributed by our volunteers and other NGOs who are working along with us to the poor and needy.
☆ 5. In Jharkhand we donated & distrubuted 1000+ new blankets and 1500+ new monkey caps to children in the vicinity of our shelter home in Lather district.
We have planned another 4 projects which will be implemented in the month of February / March namely :
♧1. Sponsoring Sports for poor rural children.
♧ 2. Sponsoring musical instruments for poor rural children.
♧ 3. Feeding outside the biggest hospital meals daily for a year in the afternoon.
♧ 4. Livelihood project thru animal husbandry for 300 poor widows across Goa.

For those who missed my posts and wondered what happened, I apologize for not informing earlier that I was on a recharge break.
Our donations took a big dive as many assumptions arise in minds of benefactors when they did not receive any posts for over a month.
It's the 1st time in 7 years, that there was no posts about our work for a full month.
We are active , working and doing work as always so please do get in touch with me thru WhatsApp messages on 8380087564.
God bless you all

HON CM OF GOA Dr PRAMOD SAWANT ON THE EVE OF THE NEW YEAR ie 30.12.24 , SIGNS A FILE WHICH HE HAD PROMISED TO DO & WITH THIS SIGNATURE , OUR FOOD ALLOWANCE INCREASES

1.1.2025. 9am IST
Hon CM of Goa Dr Pramod Sawant on the eve of The New Year ie 30.12.24 , signs a file which he had promised to do & with this signature , our food allowance increases from Rs 33 per day to Rs 200 per day for poor goan homeless women with mental disabilities in our shelter homes.
On behalf of STREET PROVIDENCE, I wish each and everyone a Very Happy and Blessed New Year 2025.
2024 has been a fantastic year at our NGO both at Street Providence shelter homes & Food Bank Sangolda.
Our struggle started exactly a year back at WCD over in December 2023 :
◇ grants not given in time ,
◇ grants given at 2007 inflation rate,
◇ Unnecessary waste of time to follow up,
Etc.
We took :
Morchas, Press conferences, Agitations.
We even sat in the WCD office one night with a strong police force from Panjim Police station sent by my good friend PI Vijay Chondankar.
But the fight was not in Vain & I did not give up.
During this struggle , between me and the Deputy Director , many Angels came to the rescue and 90% of them were from The Government of Goa.
I am publicily thanking all those who stood with us for a worthy cause :
☆ 1. Former WCD Director, Mrs Sangeeta Porob
☆ 2. Followed by former WCD Director Mrs Fransquina Oliveira
☆ 3. Current WCD Director, Mr Manuel Barretto.
☆ 4. Mr Arun Kumar Mishra IAS, Secretary WCD for doing his best to sign and move ASAP all and any file connected to the our NGO regarding shelter homes for women on the streets.
☆ 5. Minister Subhash Phal Dessai for being that important link to listen to my problems and get the same conveyed to the Hon CM of Goa.
Not once, not twice but many times.
☆ 6. Disability Commissioner, Sir Guru Pawaskar who listened to all my unending complaints and threats and worked towards getting the actual ground reality issues of disabilities on the streets to the ears of The Hon CM of Goa.
☆ 7. Add Finance Secretary, Mr Vikas Gaunker, the most important link who has always understood the problems faced by our NGO towards caring for poor goan ladies on the streets with mental disabilities.
Without his signature on any file – it's next to impossible to get any grants from the Government.
☆ 8. Dysp Tushar Vernekar incharge of Hon CM security for giving us appointments as and when we were in a need to raise our grievances infront of The Hon CM and being a link to get the signature on the file even though the file in the CMO.
☆ 9. Hon Minister of WCD , Sir Vishwajeet Rane for not holding our file back in the last one year when presented for his signature.
In the last 6 years of taking grants from WCD, I  am yet to be invited by the Hon WCD Minister neither have I met personally the Hon WCD Minister.
A big thanks to Mr Vishwajeet Rane,
WCD Minister for all the support given in the  last 6 years towards our NGO from his department ie WOMEN & CHILD ( WCD )
Finally to Dr Pramod Sawant who has been a true brother / son to the homeless goan ladies with mental disabilities in our homes.
JAN 24 funds released & MAR 24 funds released which was due for 22-23 & 23-24.
July 24 funds released in advance for 24-25 which usually was not happening for the last 6 years of we getting grants from WCD.
July 24 First tranche released = 30%
Sept 24 second tranche released for 24-25 = 30%
So total we got 60%
30.12.24 file signed and that is another 30%.
That too in the middle of the year to get approval is not an easy task. But Hon CM kept his word.
We still have another 10% to get which the Dept has to move quickly the file as Hon CM,  I am confident will sign that too.
My New Year Resolution :
Help another 60 goan homeless ladies with mental disabilities to get off the streets and into our homes.
Hon CM has helped us get connected through the above Minister , Secretaries & Other officers & it's better to sit on a table and raise the point rather than shout on a street.
Last I thank our COOL & CALM volunteer for all occasions and all problems, former DIG of Goa Police, Sir Bosco George retd IPS for all the networking , co ordinating, follow up on my behalf in the Secretariat.
Sir Bosco has taught me and guided me how to deal with the right people in the Government.
Sir Bosco is our fire fighting man between Street Providence and The Government of Goa regarding poor goan homeless abandoned women on the streets with mental disabilities.
We are committed to doubling our intake from the current sanctioned grant for 60 ladies to 120 ladies as no goan lady should be on the streets of Goa.
Overall The Government of Goa has not been troubling our work either at The Food Bank or at the Shelter homes.
HARD WORK PAYS & PAYS THOSE WHO ARE COMMITTED INSPITE OF THE OBSTACLES.
We are committed to ending Hunger and homelessness in Goa in 2025.

WE DISTRIBUTES 200 CHRISTMAS STARS & SERIALS LIGHTS TO POOR GOAN CATHOLIC FAMILIES ACROSS DIFFERENT PARTS OF GOA

29.12.24. 10pm IST
STREET PROVIDENCE GOA distrubutes 200 Christmas stars & serial lights to poor goan catholic families across different parts of Goa.
Plus Two elderly goan senior citizens Widows
85 years + were provided financially assistance during this Christmas season.
What does a star symbolize in Christmas?
☆ The Christmas star symbolizes the star of Bethlehem, which, according to the Biblical story, guided the three kings to baby Jesus.
What does lights symbolize in Christmas?
☆ Christ being the light of the world.
Lights and candles bring positivity, warmth, and they invite people to gather together arounnd.
We thank our team members :
♡ Akash Pednekar from Curchorem
♡ John Baptist from Fatorda
♡ Sharon Soares from Canacona
♡ Hassan Khan from Vasco
♡ Mahesh Govekar from  Zuarinagar
♡ Francis Fernandes from Lupin.
These 6 team members are from all 3 major faiths and went out of their way to identify poor goan catholic families and provide them this new set of star & serial light.
In some homes these team members even bought electrical wire holder and bulbs & did the necessary arrangements to see that the lights and stars were installed.
Some families were suffering from HIV / AIDS.
Some families suffering from TB & DISABILITIES.
Most of the families were in poverty.
But there was joy and happiness when our team members went to meet them.
At TUEM , North Goa, we have been taking care off this old mother last 9 months who has a son with disabilities.
Month after month we visit her and provide her a dry ration kit and living expenses.
We provided her a star a light and a box of sweets.
In south Goa , there is this elderly 85+ years old lady who is going thru so much of disappointment & troubles.
She has two sons – one died recently due to dialysis and the other son is suffering from disabilities.
She has two grand daughters who are studying in 10th & 11th standard.
Very small house and no source of income besides the DDSY dole which the elderly mother gets.
Last 7 months we have been providing monthly living expenses so that the family has food on the table and medicines as both mother and son require constant medical attention.
Before Christmas, this elderly mother asked us to repair her flooring of the kitchen cum bathroom which was pathetic condition and we are not showing the picture.
Through Arturo Dsouza our volunteer we immediately got this work done which costed us close to Rs 50000 but the cheers and smiles once the work was done, we can't explain.
It was a little we could do to bring happiness on the face of this elderly mother who just lost her son two months back and now has to care for her two young grand daughters school going plus her elder son who is suffering from disabilities.
So many poor goan families across Goa suffering from poverty and sickness.
All festivals come and go, be it any festival of any faith but the situations of the poor remain the same.
We feel satisfied that we could directly touch the lives of these two poor goan widows during this festive season as well bring little joy & happiness to these 200 poor families across Goa with the little we could do.

STREET PROVIDENCE HANDS OVER OUR 2ND HOME TO A DISPLACED FAMILY IN SINGAT, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR DURING THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON.

24.12.2024. 8am IST
STREET PROVIDENCE hands over our 2nd home to a displaced family in Singat, Churachandpur district, Manipur during this Christmas season.
This is the 2nd Christmas where life in troubled torn areas are yet to return to normal.
Hardships, bitter winter, lack of medical & medical attention, careers at cross roads, price rise , uncertainty about the future etc.
We were blessed to have got a goan family who funded the entire cost of the 2nd home in two transactions.
This family is a widow with two children and they have moved into the home.
Our goan benefactor has agreed to fund them their monthly expenses starting this Christmas season.
It's always good to be a cheerful giver and they are giving to a family 4500 kms away and I am sure receiver and giver will never ever meet.
What a way this goan family will be going into the Christmas season celebration knowing that due to their sacrifice a family has a home to their selves.
Awesome is what I can conclude.
Christmas has to be beyond the celebration which is at times extravagant.
We forget that Baby Jesus was born in a manger without the comforts of life on the cold chilly night with the barest of bare infrastructure.
So many poor people ( like this family in Manipur who are blessed to get a home to themselves and living expenses), are sleeping & living in sad and difficult situations and to them life is like a blocked black board.
The above link is the 1st home we built and handed over on 24.9.24.
You too can play your little part by donating homes for these poor people in Manipur who are going through difficult times.
Blame games is not the solution but empathy and turning your sacrifice to reality is the need of the hour.
Cost of each home is Rs 5 lacs.
Your name will be put up on the home to serve as a reminder that one generous goan through our NGO was able to touch a life of a family 4500kms away during this Christmas season.
My intention is to build total 10 such homes.
Two built already. Eight to go.
If 10 friends or relatives get togther and pool in Rs 50k easily one home can be constructed and this little sacrifice will come back to all through spiritual blessings and God's Grace.
Merry Christmas to all of you.

A CATHOLIC PRIEST FROM CHURACHANDPUR, MANIPUR, TRAVELLED ONE WAY 4500 KMS TO VENERATE THE RELICS OF ST. FRANCIS XAVIER IN GOA & ENDED UP EXPERIENCING MIRACLES

21.12.24. 8pm IST
A Catholic priest from Churachandpur, Manipur, travelled one way 4500 kms to venerate the relics of St Francis Xavier in Goa & ended up experiencing miracles never ever dreamed off both for him and for me.
Fr Anatasio is based in Singat, Churachandpur district , Manipur where the violence has been the most affected.
We have done non stop relief work right from the violence started till 31st Oct 2024.
Well Father Anatasio travelled 14 hours in a bolero through a jungle road which is more of jungle terrain right from Singat in Manipur to Aizawl in Mizoram.
Then took a flight next day to Guwahati, Assam.
After 12 hours duration took another flight to Bangalore, Karnataka.
Then again 6 hours halt another flight to Goa..
So basically 5 states , 4 airports, 4500kms and 48+ hours journey.
Well he venerated Saint Francis Xavier on 30th Nov 2024 and immediately he experienced a miracle.
On 1.12.2024 , Cardinal TAGLE was at Pilar along with Nuncio Archbishop GIRELLI.
Bishop Theodore got Fr Atanasio an appointment at Pilar and Fr Atanasio met :
♡ Cardinal TAGLE
♡ Archbishop GIRELLI
♡ Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao
♡ Bishop Seby Mascarenhas.
Sir Bosco George retd IPS was the local guide that day and that made the appointment even smoother & quicker.
Fr Atanasio always dreamt back in Manipur of meeting Cardinal TAGLE & here out of the blue ONE TO ONE meeting.
And Fr Atanasio was on cloud 9.
Even i did not get an opportunity to meet Cardinal TAGLE.
Infact all the above were astonished that a young priest travelled 4500 kms one way through very hectic and tiring situation .
That's FAITH.
Well I can say FAITH IS THE PRACTICAL EXPRESSION WE HAVE IN GOD & HIS WORD.
Now seeing the faith of Father Atanasio, I  too was moved and immediately on 1.12.24 we donated Rs 5 lacs towards our 2nd home in Manipur,  as I am aware of actual hardships people in Churachandpur are going through.
So now my miracle came in.
On 30.11.2024, we had a donation confirmed on Rs 1 lac towards building our 2nd home in Churachandpur but the actual cost was Rs 5lacs.
On 2.12.2024 , we actually transfered Rs 5 lacs from our account as it was in Thanksgiving for the visit of Fr Atanasio to Goa.
On 7th the same family confirmed another
Rs 4 lac towards this 2nd home and in this way we saved our Rs 4 lacs which we had already spent.
Further this same family who donated the entire 2nd home agreed to adopt the family in the home who is a widow with 2 young children & pay for their monthly living expenses.
Going ahead , I had a wish to start a women shelter home in Singat Churachandpur and I even found the home.
Now that home requires basic repairs and this family has volunteered to fund the repairs of the home so that 20+ ladies can live in this home.
Miracles after Miracles.
Usually i am not a religious man but I believe in spiritually and as my wife taught me to prophicise HEBREWS 4:12 –
” Word of God is Alive & active,
Sharper than any double edged sword,
Piercing even to devide soul from the spirit,
Joints from the marrow,
judging the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. “
Fr Anatasio got his desire of veneration of St Francis Xavier as well as realized his dream of meeting Cardinal TAGLE.
I got my dream of building my 2nd home in Manipur completed.
Still 8 more homes to be built.
In addition I see my intention of having a women shelter home in Churachandpur taking shape for poor abandoned and widows who have no place to go and no one to care for.
The good you do to others Comes back to you.
So I just keep doing good.
Everyday with new new projects.
All communications strictly through whatsapp messages only on 8380087564
God bless you all

WE @ STREET PROVIDENCE ALWAYS LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OF THE POOREST OF THE POOR ACROSS INDIA.

17.12.2024. 8pm IST
Preparation + Opportunity = Success/Blessings
We @ Street Providence always look for opportunities to solve problems of the poorest of the poor across India.
And we @ Street Providence are always ready & Prepared to work towards solving problems of the poor.
DECEMBER is a month , where alot of giving / sharing / donating happens and we thank GOD for the Grace to daily help so many people who we never met & our BENEFACTORS for the donations received to help these poor people.
I have one Scripture which I faithfully follow last 7 years ie LUKE 6:38
Give & it shall be given unto you…..
We @ Street Providence too are giving away cheerfully entire December both in Goa and many parts of India.
The more we give, double we get.
Our poster attached with this post will explain the work we did from 1st Dec to 13th Dec 2024 in addition to our regular other work of caring for 180 + poor goans with mental disabilities.
☆☆☆ JHARKHAND ☆☆☆
Looking at the severe winter in North India, we have already distributed 1500 new warm blankets in Jharkhand where we have our rehabilitation home thru Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas Daltonganj Diocese.
☆☆☆ MANIPUR ☆☆☆
In Manipur we paid school fees and boarding fees for 31 students in St Elizabeth school for the full year In Kangpokpi District
We also built our 2nd home for a displaced family in SINGAT,  Churachandpur district which was fully sponsored by Mr Jeremino & Mary Pereira , which was a miracle in itself.
☆☆☆ GOA ☆☆☆
We are currently serving breakfast & mid day meal all 45 days at St Francis Xavier exposition old Goa.
We had a wonderful Christmas program for 60 lady residents from our GOA & Sawantwadi shelter homes which brought out that feeling of joy and happiness.
☆☆☆ PONDICHERRY ☆☆☆
We delivered aid to 175 families in Pondicherry which was affected by the recent cyclone between 2nd to 4th December 2024.
Our team today and Tomorrow are in Pondicherry
We still have alot of relief work going on in
Jharkhand, Delhi , Haryana & Goa scheduled after 13th December to 31st December 2024.
It's basically getting very cold across North India and we have already despatched last week 1500 monkey caps for poor children and blankets etc.
In Goa our priorty is the shelter homes for poor goans who are homeless with mental disabilities on the streets  and our food bank program where we collect food and feed the hundreds of poor people in different parts of Goa.
If you wish to be a part of giving away cheerfully this Christmas season then the top priorty is
Blankets across North India and Manipur as winter is expected to be very harsh after 20th December in many parts of India.
You go out and solve some one else problem & automatically God sends / inspires some one to solve your problem.
Being a lay man and a practicing Roman Catholic its not easy to generate donations continuesly,  but like I wrote in the opening paragraph :
Preparation + Opportunity = Success/Blessings
This entire Month we are reaching out with the support of our Generous benefactors to the poorest of the poor across India.

◇ 4. Then follow up with the nearest police station.
◇ 5. Get the police to investigate
◇ 6. Have patience but persist with the Police.
◇ 7. See that the police call our no infront of you.
◇ 8. Rest we will take over from here.
DONT JUST CLICK & SEND PICTURES.
You do your little part and rest we and Goa Police will do.
But let's all try to get as many poor goans irrespective of their health conditions off the streets before CHRISTMAS.
It's just not possible to run around GOA on a picture or video of a goan homeless.
Majority Inspectors of Goa Police have been informed about this drive and they will be glad to help the poor goan on the streets of GOA through your kind deed.
Majority of the poor goan homeless will be psychiatric in nature and we will get them admitted into IPHB for Stabilising for a few days before moving them into our homes.
My priorty has , is and will , aways be the poor homeless goans on the streets with mental disabilities
Other projects are started and many more are planned to sustain the shelter homes as we are doubling our capacity from 250 beds to 500 beds
We are also doubling our food bank daily collection from 500 kgs a day to 1000 kgs a day.
Rehabilitation homes for the poor &
Food banks to feed the poor
These two projects are the top priorty service at our NGO.
Join hands with us as we are ready to get our own poor goans on the streets this Christmas to our shelter homes.

NO DEPARTMENTS HAS SENT ANY PROPOSALS TO THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT ASKING FOR FUNDS FOR THE HOMELESS GOANS & THOSE WITH DISABILITIES

14.3.25. 9am IST
Goa budget session at The Goa Assemby starts on 24.3.25 , but no departments has sent any proposal to the finance department asking for funds for the homeless goans & those with disabilities.  Possible they did not think it's that important.
Yes , we are now fighting another battle failing which we at Street Providence will be unable to carry forward the shelter homes in the coming months.
Certain sections of the administration dealing with welfare , disabilities, homeless especially senior citizens are taking things very very lightly which has got me all aggressive and ready to fight.
If you see the video in the link you will know the level of FRUSTRATION, DISAPPOINTMENT & IRRITATION I am currently going thru.
This certain section of the administration has been giving me promises and sweet talk about how help in the form of grants is planned and is on the way to our shelter homes which made me belive.
But when I check with Finance department I was shocked.
Absolutely nothing is there in a budget slated for 24.3.25 for the financial year 1.4.25 to 31.3.26.
That's when I hit the streets with plans of a morcha to Hon CM house.
Immediately everyone got up & The Hon Minister Shri Subhash Phal Dessai got the whip cracking by ordering and pressuring his directors to submitt their proposals so as reach the budget session as on 24th march 25.
Our financial situation is very grim & unhealthy.
Donations are slowing down due to :
Inflation hitting the people &
Due to no benefit towards tax saving options as the income tax rates are changed in the last year.
Top it all , homeless and poor goans with mental disabilities in need of care and rehabilitation is going up on an alarming scale and everyone and anyone thinks feels & understands ” call Street Providence they will take “.
Where is the money?
We have no issue in taking but the bills are to be paid.
Donation is slowing down & no budget provision for 25-26, then how to run ?
Being an Mcom graduate and an accountant it's my job to know the numbers in the bank and today those nos will carry me till May end.
Then what ?
We have a huge organised and professional team consisting of :
◇ Two full time residential Doctors
◇ Four Physiotherapists
◇ 30 trained nurses
We also have:
◇ 10 drivers
◇ Accounts team
◇ An office team for a huge loads of paperwork
◇ Operation team.
From 2.4.25 if trade barriers are increased by USA then about 0.5% of our GDP gets wiped off which results in massive hike in prices
Add to that our exchange rate is always going up now it's at $ 87 / 88.
It's an impossible service to sustain without funds either through donations or thru government grants.
I tried and did my best now I am tired disappointed & wanting to get out of this.
It's killing me mentally and physically as the demand for care is very very high.
And it will get higher in the coming 2 years with an expected 1000 beds required to cater to the poorest of the poor goans reaching the streets due to poverty, loneliness & mental disabilities.
If you reading this post can help us then please come forward and do the needful.
We are confident that our demands for budget allocation will be done in the budget on 24.3.25 by The Hon CM.
Once again thanks to Hon Social Welfare Minister Shri Subhash Phal Dessai for assuring to get the shelter homes budget proposals by his two Directors ready before 24.3.25.
Your support counts at this crucial period.
